Grace Jones is saying modern pop stars should bow down to the original…Grace Jones.
The legendary singer and actress bemoaned the current state of pop music in her new book I’ll Never Write My Memoirs.
She writes that modern day singers such as Beyonce, Rihanna and Lady Gaga are basically copying her style.
In an extract published by Time Out, she says: ‘I have been so copied by those people who have made fortunes that people assume I am that rich. But I did things for the excitement, the dare, the fact that it was new, not for the money, and too many times I was the first, not the beneficiary.’
