Channel 4 hit the jackpot when they realised that what TV viewers really wanted to watch was other people watching the same TV programmes we’d already watched that week.
And so Gogglebox was born and who can even remember a time before it?
The funny, thoughtful, emotional and addictive show has introduced us to some brilliant British characters, from the Siddiquis to Scarlett to Sandy and Sandra, and now it finally returns to our screens for a sixth season.
