The British actress was the subject of a recent discussion on Fox & Friends because she expressed her regret at becoming an American citizen after watching the Republican presidential debate.
‘I became an American citizen recently, and that night, we watched the Republican debate and I thought, “This was a terrible mistake. What have I done?”‘ she told The Hollywood Reporter.
Unsurprisingly, those patriotic folk at Fox News did not take kindly to Emily criticising their fine nation, and decided to use their platform to give the Sicario star her marching orders.
‘Why don’t you leave Hollywood, California, and let some American women take on the roles that you’re getting, because Americans are watching your movies and lining your pockets,’ said co-host Anna Kooiman.
