Black Panther is seen as more than just a comic book adaptation, but the celebration of the black community, and three women are using the film’s popularity in an amazing and extremely productive way.
Kayla Reed, Jessica Byrd and Rukia Lumumba have launched an Electoral Justice Project, which aims to advance the rights for black Americans.
To coincide with the movie, the three friends are bringing out a campaign called #WakandaTheVote, and hope to register people to vote across several cinemas during the first couple of weeks of the film’s opening.
