Brendan Cole’s decision to break protocol and ask the Duchess of Cornwall to dance during filming of the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special was reportedly ‘the last straw’ for BBC bosses.
Brendan confirmed in January that his contract with the BBC show had not been renewed after 14 years; he appeared close to tears on ITV show Lorraine after revealing the news.
But now a source close to Strictly has claimed that Brendan’s decision to beeline for Camilla at the event left everyone ‘outraged’, especially judge Craig Revel-Horwood who’s friendship with the Duchess had helped the BBC to land her for the episode.
