Jack Whitehall has lamented the ‘unimaginative’ choice of hiring a white man to host this year’s Brit Awards – the white man in question being himself.
The comedian was on stage introducing singer Rita Ora before her performance when he joked about the lack of diversity in the hosting line-up, which has featured Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis, Ant and Dec, James Corden and Peter Kay in recent years.
Jack pointed out the diverse line-up of this year’s Brits, with the nominees being 42% BAME artists, and said they were continuing the trend with Rita Ora.
