American author and feminist Roxane Gay has put herself forward to write the upcoming DC Comics movie Batgirl after Joss Whedon dropped out.
Taking to Twitter, Roxane simply tweeted DC Comics writing: ‘Hey @DCComics I can write your batgirl movie, no prob.’
The move comes after Whedon stepped down, admitting that he could not find a story to tell for the iconic female superhero.
In response to Roxane’s tweet, Michele Wells, an executive producer at DC replied and asked her to send an email if she was being serious, to which Roxane replied: ‘Yes I am serious. I will email you.’
