Piers Morgan has admitted that the early starts on Good Morning Britain drove him to quit the show, until producers were able to persuade him to return with a ‘new arrangement’.
The outspoken presenter said in the past that getting up early for the programme was ‘slowly killing’ him until the point he told ITV bosses he couldn’t handle it.
Speaking to Radio Times, Piers said: ‘I actually quit in the summer. I said, “I’m out,” because I couldn’t do it any more.
‘Then we came to a new arrangement, which is great. I feel completely different.’
