
Chris Brown has been refused a visa to perform in Australia on ‘character grounds’.
The singer is scheduled to tour the country in December but may be forced to cancel the upcoming dates.
Immigration Minister Peter Dutton said Australia’s immigration department has issued a ‘notice of intention to consider refusal’.
Brown, who pleaded guilty to assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, now has 28 days to appeal.
The singer has toured Australia twice since his conviction but the government has been put under increasing pressure this time round.
