
EA’s latest football sim has taken its preordained place at the top of the UK sales charts, but it hasn’t broken any records getting there.
It was always going to be number one, no matter what happened, but surprisingly FIFA 16’s first week has actually seen it perform worse than last year’s version.
According to Chart-Track FIFA 16 sold 7 per cent less than FIFA 15 in its first week, despite being released a day early. Although thanks to price increases and the Deluxe and Ultimate Team editions EA only made 4 per cent less in revenue.
