One Direction have offered to meet Leah Washington whose leg was amputated after the Smiler rollercoaster crash at Alton Towers.
The band have filmed a video message for the 17-year-old who is a huge fan of the band after her friends started a social media campaign using the hashtag #Get1DToLeah to get them in touch.
Her friend Sara Stuart told the BBC that Leah would be delighted with the news: ‘She’s seen them so many times.
‘It’s really given Leah something to aim for and really look forward to once she’s recovered.’
