Jurassic World got the dinosaurs wrong in a major way, says film’s palaeontologist

Thanks to Jurassic Park and the subsequent movies, the world has a pretty solid idea about what the dinosaurs looked like.

And when it comes to the velociraptors, the image in our heads are of horse-sized reptile-looking beasts with sharp fangs and deadly claws.

But apparently that’s totally wrong.

Jurassic World’s palaeontology consultant, Jack Horner, told Metro.co.uk that the raptors were actually supposed to have feathers.

And he isn’t the first one to say so as Alan Turner, a paleontologist at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, pointed this out a few years back:
