Calum Scott may have owned the last Britain’s Got Talent semi-final with his version of We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off – but the song didn’t always sound like that.
In fact the original version of the song was – how shall we put this – very different from the sultry ballad the singer performed during Friday’s semi-final, as anybody who grew up in the 80s will testify.
It wasn’t even a ballad for one thing. It was a heartfelt dance track from singer Jermaine Stewart, which reached number two in the UK charts in the summer of 1986.
