You’ll soon be able to play Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One, as Microsoft also reveal their own early access program.
The announcement was a surprise, as the subject of backwards compatibility has barely been raised since the Xbox One’s launch and it did seem as if Microsoft were going to leave it out entirely.
But considering the final words from Microsoft’s pre-E3 media briefing were about this being the perfect time to upgrade from the Xbox 360 to Xbox One, it’s clear that they now see loyalty to their previous format as a key weapon in their battle against the PlayStation 4.
