Veteran actor Sir John Hurt has revealed he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer – but is remaining ‘optimistic’ about his future.
The 75-year-old – whose notable roles include The Elephant Man, Alien, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Doctor Who, and the Harry Potter movies – revealed the diagnosis in a statement, saying the disease had been caught in its early stages and he planned to continue working.
