Dame Helen Mirren has a lot to say about sexism and ageism in Hollywood.
The 69-year-old made her feelings on the subject pretty clear during a recent interview.
She thinks it’s ‘f**king outrageous’.
Helen was asked about Maggie Gyllenhaal’s recent admission that she was turned down for a role as the love interest of a 55-year-old man because she was ‘too old’.
‘F**king outrageous,’ replied the actress. ‘It’s ridiculous, honestly. I mean, it’s so annoying. And ’twas ever thus.’
The Calendar Girls star, who was speaking at The Wrap’s Power Women Breakfast, then brought up the ageism in classic James Bond movies.
