An incredibly lucky woman bought 30 lottery tickets at once – then won the $5,000 jackpot on every single one.
Deborah Brown, from Richmond, Virginia, bought 20 of her state’s Pick 4 game tickets last month – then had a hunch it was her lucky day, and purchased another 10.
And she was soon proven right, with the number she’d chosen for each ticket – 1091 – winning the jackpot, meaning her huge set of tickets had scooped a total of $150,000.
Explaining what motivated her to choose that number combination, Brown said: ‘A couple of times during the day, I saw those numbers.’
And recalling her shock at realizing just how lucky she’d been, the winner added: ‘I nearly had a heart attack.’

Brown made herself drive around town in her car afterwards until she had calmed down.
She now plans to spend some of the money renovating her house.
Virginia’s Pick 4 game lets players choose a single, four-digit number between 0000 and 9999.
A winning number is then picked twice a day, with anyone carrying a ticket bearing that number scooping $5,000.
Players can enter the same number on multiple tickets for the same draw – just like Brown did – meaning each winning ticket will claim the same $5,000 prize.
Entrants are allowed to enter up to 91 times using the same number, with the price of a ticket increasing each time that number is played again.
