A new trailer has just dropped for series 27 of Top Gear.
The well-known car show on BBC is being given a makeover with a brand new presenting line-up, and if the teaser is anything to go by, they look like they’re going to be doing some speedy driving in the season premier.
Comedian Paddy McGuinness and former cricketer Freddie Flintoff will be taking up the helm alongside Chris Harris in what appears to be a bumpy (but endlessly amusing) ride.
In the teaser clip, Paddy tries to convince Freddie and Chris that the ultimate second-hand car is, in fact, a hearse.
He tries to convince the lads that the car is perfect because it’s spacious, carefully driven and very cheap.
In light of Paddy’s persuasive words, they buy a 1995 Daimler hearse for £1,300, carry out some not-so subtle modifications – lots of power, lots of blue paint – and proceed to a Welsh rally course to put the newly-dubbed ‘Undertaker’ through its paces.
Well, that’s one way to start the series.
As is predictably the case, things don’t go according to plan.
Top Gear returns to BBC Two this summer.
