Strictly Come Dancing viewers nationwide were shocked when pictures and videos surfaced of Seann Walsh and Katya Jones kissing.
Y’know, because neither of them were single when the kissing occurred.
The footage was published on the evening of 6 October, hours after we watched Seann and Katya get their best scores yet as they performed a memorable paso doble to The Matrix theme…
… and while the cast of Strictly were in the pub, with Katya and her husband Neil.
Awkward.
Vick Hope has revealed that she was in the bar with the couple, as well as her own parents, when the incriminating pictures burst online.
The Capital DJ told The Sun: ‘It was Saturday night of movie week. We’d just finished the show and it had all gone well – then the news came out while we were in the bar afterwards, so we were all together when we saw it.
‘Katya was there with her husband, so we were all like, “Oh, s**t!”‘
That would be an understatement.
Vick added: ‘I was with my mum and dad, so I just thought I best look after them and not get involved in any of that.’
Katya, 29, went on to publicly apologise for the kiss, tweeting: ‘I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.’
She also said on It Takes Two: ‘I can’t apologise enough to everyone it hurt and involved. But the main thing for me, me and Neil are absolutely fine, and that’s what matters to me the most right now.
‘I’m focusing on my job and doing it as professionally that I can.’
Neil has since defended his wife, telling Hello! magazine: ‘I think, for me, I can accept people make mistakes. My mum always said: “People make mistakes in their lives. Don’t react, try to understand”. So that is how it always is for me.’
However, Seann, 33, was publicly dumped by his girlfriend of five years, Rebecca Humphries, with the comedian recently admitting that his behaviour was abusive.
