Megan McKenna has broken her silence on Mike Thalassitis’ death, stating she’s in ‘complete shock’ over her ex-boyfriend’s sudden passing.
The former Ex On The Beach star had not publicly addressed Mike’s death, after he was found hanged in a park in Edmonton, north London on Saturday.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Megan said: ‘Sorry I haven’t been on social media but I’m in complete shock and trying to come to terms with this. I can’t believe I’m even writing this post.
‘My thoughts and prayers are with Mike’s family.’
She added: ‘Rest in peace Mike.’
Megan and Mike, who was 26 at the time of his death, had dated for seven months before splitting in August 2018.
It comes after a source said Megan was ‘devastated’ over Mike’s untimely death, telling The Sun: ‘Megan is absolutely devastated over Mike’s death.
‘She isn’t ready to comment online yet and will be dealing with her grief in private.
‘This is the toughest time of her life and all she wants is the support of close friends and family.’
During an episode of E4’s Celebs Go Dating, Megan opened up on her split from Mike, explaining: ‘I think my last relationship, I was kind of… I think I definitely fell in love.’
Weeks before their split, Megan had told OK! magazine of their planned future: ‘I reckon we’ll live together soon. He stays over a lot, so it would definitely work. I do want to marry him – we’d have such an amazing wedding!
‘I want three children and I want them all to look like Mike – he’s got nice tanned skin and green eyes.’
