Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio are set to share screen space in Quentin Tarantino’s new film Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.
The pair are already sharing movie poster space after the first promo for the film dropped on Monday – featuring Brad and Leo in some seriously Sixties garb.
Leonardo sports a cool brown leather jacket in the role of Rick Dalton, while Brad’s character Cliff Booth is wearing a yellow printed shirt over a T-shirt and jeans.
The film is the ninth from Tarantino and fans of the two actors will no doubt jump at the chance to see them in the same movie.
But have they been in any films together before?
What have Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt starred in before?
While Once Upon A Time In Hollywood will be the first feature the pair have appeared in, they have been in one other movie together.
The pair both featured in The Audition, a 2015 short film by directing legend Martin Scorsese.
That movie actually saw the two actors playing fictionalized versions of themselves, with the plot featuring DiCaprio and Robert De Niro vying to win the lead role in Scorsese’s next movie.
However they are both outdone when Scorsese decides to cast Brad Pitt instead.
What is Once Upon A Time In America about?
The synopsis is as follows: ‘Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognise anymore.
‘The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.’
The film plays out against the backdrop of the Charles Manson murders – notably the death of Sharon Tate who was eight months pregnant when she was killed by the Manson Family.
Margot Robbie stars in the film as Tate, with the support cast also including Al Pacino, Bruce Dern, Damian Lewis, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning and Lena Dunham.
The film is also set to mark the final big screen appearance of Luke Perry prior to his death on 4 March.
