If you haven’t discovered BBC series Keeping Faith yet then it’s about time you did.

The second series of the show, which was shot in both Welsh and English language versions, was the most popular show for 25 years on BBC Wales when it aired last year.

So it’s no surprise to see that a second series has come along, kicking off on BBC One last night as well as dropping on to the iPlayer in its entirety.

Here’s what you need to know about its cast, including star Eve Myles.

Who is in the cast of Keeping Faith season 2?

The cast of Keeping Faith season 2 is once again led by Eve Myles as Faith Howells, a solicitor on maternity leave whose life is turned upside down when her husband and business partner Evan disappears without warning.

Eve originally found fame in the BBC Wales series Belonging, which ran from 2000-2009, but remains best known for starring in the Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood as Gwen Cooper – appearing in all four series of the show from 2006-2011.

She’s also been in the likes of Little Dorrit, Broadchurch and A Very English Scandal.

Her screen husband is played by actor Bradley Freegard – who is actually married to Eve in real life.

He’s one of the stars of the S4C series Teulu – although EastEnders fans might recognise him as Jane (Laurie Brett)’s haute cuisine tutor Gethin Williams, a character who appeared in the soap in 2012.

Other cast members include Mark Lewis Jones (Chernobyl), Hannah Daniel (Holby City’s Leah Faulkner), and Aneirin Hughes (Hinterland).

What is Keeping Faith season 2 about?

The first season saw Faith looking for clues relating to his disappearance as the mystery grips the whole of the Welsh town where she lives – with the character being thrown into a world of kidnap, murder and other shady activities.

Season two continues the story 18 months later with Faith drawn into a murder trial.

Keeping Faith continues next Tuesday night on BBC One at 9pm, or you can watch the whole series now on BBC iPlayer.
