Tupac murder suspect reveals what happened night rapper was shot

An ex-gangster and major suspect in the murder of Tupac Shakur has revealed what happened on the night the rapper was fatally shot in Las Vegas.

Former Compton Southside Crips gang member Duane ‘Keefe D’ Davis claims he witnessed a fellow passenger brutally gun down 2Pac on September 7, 1996.

The hip hop star, then aged 25, died from his wounds six days later and has become immortalised in death and one of the biggest selling artists of all time.

Police have never charged anyone for the murder which has sparked conspiracy theories and bizarre suggestions he faked his own death.

But a major LAPD investigation headed by former detective Greg Kading identified Orlando ‘Baby Lane’ Anderson – Keefe D’s nephew – as the shooter in retaliation for Tupac attacking him hours earlier in the MGM Grand following a Mike Tyson fight.

While Anderson died a year later in a shootout, his uncle Keefe D has twice confessed to his involvement.

And now he has spoken at length about what exactly happened on that fateful night in Sin City through a new autobiography Compton Street Legend and interviews with Vlad TV.

After his nephew was beaten up by Tupac and his crew, Keefe D claimed along with his relative they went looking for Suge Knight to ‘quash the situation’.

Suge was the head of Death Row Records, Pac’s music label, which was linked to the LA gang the Bloods who have a deadly rivalry with Crips.

As they pulled up alongside the musician’s BMW, driven by Suge Knight, in a white Cadillac on the Vegas strip Keefe D claimed that 2Pac ‘looked like he was reaching’ for his gun.

In his new book, Keefe D said: ‘The s*** was on, Tupac made an erratic move and began to reach down beneath his seat.

‘It was the first and only time of my life I could relate to the police command “keep your hands where I can see them”.

‘Instead Pac pulled out a strap and that’s when the fireworks started.

‘One of my guys from the backseat grabbed a glock and started busting back.

‘The first shot skinned Suge in the head and I thought that m*********** was dead.

‘I’d heard some stories that Suge used Tupac as a shield when the bullets started flying but that’s some b*****, Suge was already wounded and he was the one that got touched.

‘As the rounds continued flying I ducked down so I wouldn’t get hit.’

Keefe D refused to reveal who fired the shot saying ‘it’s for the streets’, but in a previous taped confession under immunity with Greg Kading’s taskforce he claimed his nephew was responsible.

Tupac was hit four times and one bullet pierced his lung.

Since his death, Pac has generated more than 75 million global sales.
