How long have Maura and Curtis been a couple on Love Island and who were they with before?

After Jordan Hames’ shock confession to Curtis that he was having doubts about his relationship with Anna Vakili and wanted to crack on with India Reynolds, each half of the couple were at opposite ends of the spectrum.

While Maura jumped to Anna’s defence and immediately told her what was going on, it turned out that Curtis had actually told Jordan to go ahead with his duplicitous plans to move to India without telling his new girlfriend.

In tonight’s episode, Maura is rocked that ‘good guy’ Curtis would sanction this. Speaking in the Beach Hut, Maura says: ‘For Curtis to give that advice to Jordan, it baffles me. If he was my boyfriend, is that what he would do? Would he pull a girl before chatting to his girlfriend?’

Maura and Curtis have a chat on the swing seat. Curtis is frustrated that Maura left their conversation and immediately told Anna about Jordan’s feelings for India, with Curtis saying Jordan was ‘brave for doing it’.

Maura replies: ‘Wow. That’s cheating Curtis,’ and clearly begins to feel differently about the squeaky clean ballroom dancer’s morals. Will he pull it back? Only time will tell. They’re only a fledgling pair, though.

Who have Curtis and Maura been with in the villa?

Curtis was on the show since the beginning of the series, and initially was coupled up with air stewardess Amy Hart.

The pair seemed love’s young dream until Casa Amor, when Curtis announced that he actually didn’t know if he and Amy had a future, and instead tried spending time with Jourdan Riane (who rebuffed him for Danny).

After this, he remained in a couple with Amy, but when their break-up was finalised and she left the house, he was able to satisfy his wandering eye and flirt with Maura and Francesca Allen.

However, her affections weren’t returned, and Tommy chose to stay with Molly Mae Hague.

This Irish model appeared to have her head turned by a couple of people, but her next official couple was with Tom Walker. He made a series of gaffes that strained their relationship, and when he was dumped from the villa, Maura then coupled up with Marvin Brooks after Casa Amor.

That was also something of a damp squib, so during a recoupling Maura chose new boy Chris Taylor. That was her last recoupling before getting with Curtis.

When did Curtis and Maura couple up?

Maura admitted her crush on Curtis on Friday 5 July, while Amy was still in the villa.

On the following Monday she made her move and told the man himself, but their actually recoupling wasn’t quite as straightforward.

After Francesca entered the show, Curtis was given the chance to let two women fight over him, and of course he jumped at it. At a recoupling, Francesca chose Curtis first, which meant the fight was really on.

Maura and Curtis officially coupled up in week seven. Will this be the end, though? Who knows.
