Abbey Clancy has revealed she finds it ‘hard’ to watch Strictly Come Dancing after winning the show back in 2013.

The mum-of-four, who scooped up the glitterball trophy with her partner Aljaz Skorjanec, explained she’s still a big fan, but being on the show changed her perspective a little.

‘I just loved my experience on the show, it was the most magical time,’ the star raved to Metro.co.uk.

However, she revealed: ‘It’s quite hard to watch it now having been on it! You see it in a different way because you see behind the scenes and all that.’

Despite not having had a look at the lineup yet, she revealed she’ll be gathering the family round to watch again.

Abbey, who recently welcomed her fourth child Jack with her husband Peter Crouch, admitted she’s feeling a bit outnumbered by the little ones and we really can’t blame her.

‘It’s a bit full-on but I’m kind of loving it,’ she explained. ‘The idea of having two young babies was really scary when I was pregnant but it’s been really lovely, to be honest.’

However, she’s quick to admit that mums are definitely put under pressure nowadays.

‘I do think there is a pressure on mums but I just think you’ve got to take it at your own pace,’ she said, before recalling: ‘I was never one to read all the baby books and I just found my way naturally by myself.

‘When you do speak to other mums like, “My baby goes to sleep, mine has a nap, mine sleeps all the way through the night”, you can start to panic and compare yourself,’ the 33-year-old added.

‘You’ve just got to go at your own pace and see what works for you and not put too much pressure on yourself.’

And that definitely extends to the losing weight element.

Although Abbey managed to slip into a bikini and head back to work just six weeks after giving birth to baby Jack, she insisted she did it at her own pace – although being married to a football legend didn’t hurt.

‘We live in the countryside so we can get out and be active and, being married to an athlete as well, we eat relatively healthy. I haven’t put any pressure on myself or anything,’ she said.

She added: ‘It’s a massive ordeal on your body…you should just listen to your body and [have] everything in moderation.’

And Abbey’s not afraid to admit that balancing life and work is difficult, as she giggled: ‘I’m clearly not doing very well at it today!’

‘It is hard and you feel guilty when you go to work, but it’s important that you can go to work and still be a mum and be you still, not just be defined as a mum, that’s important to me,’ the model reflected.

‘I love to work and I love to be at home with kids as well, so just finding a good balance is important.’

As for what she’s most excited about, the star contentedly reeled off: ‘The baby is ten weeks old, I’m enjoying being a new mum again and having Pete home more, now he’s not playing football, I’m just excited for the next chapter.’

Meanwhile, Abbey is currently partnering with Sainsbury’s for their 150 Days of Community campaign to improve quality of life – especially for older generations, after it was revealed that the number of people over 65 speaking to their neighbours daily has halved to just 14%.

She joined forces with Strictly’s Ola Jordan to get people up and dancing in Marske-by-the-Sea for the occasion.

‘The elderly are quite often forgotten about now and it was heartbreaking when I found out the facts about that,’ Abbey explained. ‘We only recently lost my nan, she was 95 and she was still very much active and young at heart.

‘To think of her being on her own and having no one to talk to is just awful… I loved being on Strictly Come Dancing… I think dance is a fantastic way to get people together.’
