The summer festival season is fast drawing to a close, but we’re not quite done yet – with the Reading and Leeds festivals honing into view over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Over the next few days revellers both down south and up north will head to either Richfield Avenue in Reading or Bramham Park in Leeds, to see the likes of Foo Fighters, The 1975, and other headliners take to the two stages over the course of the next few days.
While Reading Festival is completely sold out, you can still get tickets for the Friday and Saturday of Leeds – and camping passes are still available.
But if you’d rather watch proceedings from the comfort of your own sofa, how can you do so?
Here’s what you need to know…
Can you watch the Reading and Leeds Festivals on TV?
As in previous years the BBC will be broadcasting highlights of both festivals on TV and also online.
Highlights of the Foo Fighters headline set at Reading will be screened on BBC Four on Sunday night at 10pm.
But that’s not all as a range of performances from across the Main Stage and the Radio 1 Stage will be available to stream live on BBC iPlayer throughout the weekend.
You’ll also be able to watch selected sets on demand for 30 days after the festival, while individual tracks and memorable moments will be featured on BBC Music’s YouTube channel as well as the BBC’s dedicated Reading and Leeds site.
If you want to tune in live on your TV, you can do so via the Red Button, where live performances from Reading will air on Friday and Saturday night, with highlights from the festival being shown across the weekend.
Look out too for a documentary on the BBC iPlayer after the festival, following the Reading and Leeds journeys of singer Yungblud – who will appear at both – as well as a Reading and Leeds festival superfan.
Who is performing at the Reading and Leeds Festivals and when?
Friday will see The 1975, Royal Blood, The Wombats and Dave among the acts performing at Reading, while Saturday sees the festival play host to Post Malone, Twenty One Pilots, Blossoms and Billie Eilish.
Meanwhile Foo Fighters, A Day To Remember, Bastille, Chvrches, Yungblud and Frank Carter And The Rattlesnakes are among Sunday’s acts.
Over in Leeds Sunday’s Reading performers – headed by Foo Fighters – will appear on Friday, while The 1975 and Royal Blood will join Reading’s Friday acts onstage on Saturday.
Sunday at Bramham Park will be rounded off by Post Malone, Twenty One Pilots, Blossoms and Billie Eilish as per the Reading bill on Saturday.
