James Cracknell has gone public with new girlfriend Jordan Connell, just weeks after announcing his divorce from Beverley Turner.
The rowing superstar – who is gearing up for his Strictly Come Dancing debut – was spotted kissing the cheerleader as they spent the day together at the park.
In pictures obtained by MailOnline, the 47-year-old couldn’t keep his hands off his new girlfriend, packing on all the PDA.
An insider also told the publication the pair have been growing very close recently.
‘They have become very close and since his marriage break up there are few people who would deny him the support of an attractive young woman,’ they told the publication.
‘The end of James’ marriage to Bev has been amicable and friendly but there’s always going to be regret and maybe loneliness when something like that happens so it’s great he’s going his own way.’
However, their coupling may come as a shock, as James obtained a divorce from Beverly last month, following 17 years of marriage.
The former couple tied the knot in 2002, and share three children together – Croyde, Kiki and Trixie.
But it wasn’t to be, as they announced their split in a statement in March.
‘We can confirm that sadly we separated last year,’ it read. ‘Together, we remain committed to our amazing children, they are our absolute priority.
‘We’re also, as any couple is, different people from who you were 17 years ago and we can look back and say we did everything.’
However, the pair have remained close, and James admitted Bev was ‘supportive’ over his Strictly Come Dancing news.
When asked what his family thought of him joining the line-up, alongside Alex Scott and Jamie Laing, he told Good Morning Britain presenters Ben Shepherd and Kate Garraway: ‘Bev was supportive and the kids were like, “No!”’
