Composer James Horner, who wrote the music for a string of blockbuster movies including Titanic, has died following a plane crash in Southern California.
According to reports a single-engine plane which belonged to the 61-year crashed yesterday morning near Quatal Canyon in Los Padres National Forest, around 100 miles from Los Angeles.
Local authorities said that the pilot – believed to be Horner – was killed, and that no other passengers were on board.
