Ralph Fiennes wants new characters so black or female actors don’t need to play James Bond

Ralph Fiennes has revealed he doesn’t believe black or female actors should play James Bond because new characters need to be created.

‘I would like to see a great black actor inhabit a Bond-like persona, but not necessarily be in the same franchise,’ he said.

Ralph, who plays M in the spy franchise, has said that changing the identity of the British agent could be avoided by providing ‘another vehicle’ for actors.

‘I think we could remake the idea of a Bond as a woman or as an actor of any ethnicity in another vehicle,’ he said on NewsNight.

The 56-year-old revealed however that he welcomed the move by the National Theatre to hold a casting event for transgender actors.

‘I think there’s a massive spectrum in which we can find all kinds of casting and all kinds of theatre. I think it’s great that the National, quite rightly, are looking at all different aspects of casting,’ he said.

Ralph also appeared in the Harry Potter series, one of the most successful franchises in movie history, with stars like Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint set up for life thanks to the wizarding world.

But he revealed that he initially turned down the role of one of the series’ most iconic roles, Voldemort, because he was ‘ignorant’ about JK Rowling’s book series.

‘The truth is I was actually ignorant about the films and the books. I was approached by the production. Mike Newell was directing the film that they wanted me to be in, the first time Voldemort was going to appear physically,’ he said, speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show.

‘Out of ignorance I just sort of thought, this isn’t for me… Quite stupidly I resisted, I was hesitant.’

But it was his sister who helped him make the decision.

He added: ‘I think the clincher was that my sister Martha – who has three children who were then probably about 12, 10 and eight – she said, “What do you mean? You’ve got to do it!” So then I rewound my thinking.’

Following Lori Loughlin’s arrest, the young stars of Fuller House are said to be finding support from cast and crew members as they come to terms with recent events.

In the wake of the college admission scandal, the former 90210 actress will allegedly not return to her TV role on the hit Netflix show.

However, according to a source close to production, the show is far more focused on its youngest stars.

An insider told People: ‘There is a concerted effort to protect the kids on the show from all this news.

Lori was arrested earlier this week (Picture: Getty Images)

‘Lori isn’t on every episode, but there is a lot of affection on the set. She is great with the kids, and they all love her,’ the insider added.

‘So almost every other adult, both cast and crew, I have reached out to [the kids] to make sure that they are okay. There’s a group text, and everyone is calling each other.

‘It’s not really gossip, it’s more trying to come to terms with it. No one saw this coming with her.’

The actress, who played Rebecca Katsopolis after four seasons, has featured since 2016, alongside actor John Stamos who plays her husband Jesse.

However, she originally starred in the precursor series Full House, under her maiden name Rebecca Donaldson.

She joined the show in 1988, a year after the OG stars, and stayed with the franchise until 1995.

Lori went on to play Debbie Wilson, Annie’s mother, in the reboot of 90210 in 2008 and landed her part as Abigail Stanton in When Calls The Heart in 2014

She handed herself into authorities on a $1million (£750,865) bond on Wednesday.

Both Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli are being investigated over claims they paid bribes totaling $500,000 (£375, 432).

It’s understood that her two daughters achieved places on the USC crew team that influenced their admission to the college, despite never participating in the sport.

Fellow actress Felicity Huffman was also arrested on conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.

Both have been facing backlash after the scandal (Picture: Rex)

Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade joked she was ‘literally never at high school’ in an unearthed video on her YouTube channel.

The video was posted months before her mother was indicted for her alleged involvement in a college admissions bribe scam.

The 19-year-old, who has a following of almost two million, posted her Last Day Of High School vlog back in 2018 to document her class’s senior year prank.

‘I’m, like, excited to go… do the school prank,’ she said. ‘But I’m also literally never at school that I think my class doesn’t even — and maybe they forget I go there!’

She quickly added: ‘I’m just kidding!’

The news comes a few days after the YouTube star faced backlash for admitting she ‘doesn’t care about college’, adding that she was more concerned with the parties and game days.

The teenager said: ‘I’m gonna be attending college and I’ll still be working on YouTube.

‘I’m living in a dorm with a roommate. My first week of school, I’m leaving to go to Fiji for work, and I’ll be in New York a bunch [of times] this year for work.

‘I don’t know how much of school I’m gonna attend but I’m gonna go in and talk to my deans and everyone, and hope that I can try and balance it all.

‘But I do want the experience of like game days, partying…I don’t really care about school, as you guys all know.’

Fuller House actress Lori is one of 40 influential figures, including Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman, who have been indicted in connection with payments of up to $6 million.

The payments were used to get children into schools including Yale, Stanford, Georgetown and USC (University of Southern California).

Loughlin and her husband Giannulli allegedly agreed to pay bribes totalling $500,000 (£376,000) to get their two daughters onto the USC crew team – with reports alleging that even though they did not participate in the sport, it may have ‘facilitated their admission’ to the college.

Loughlin later handed herself into authorities and was set a $1 million release bond.

Meanwhile, the actress was dropped from Hallmark as well as Fuller House, with Olivia being dropped from brand deals with Sephora.

Deepika Padukone unveiled her waxwork statue at Madame Tussaud’s (Picture: Madame Tussaud’s)

Deepika Padukone sent us all into a spin after revealing her new Madame Tussaud’s statue in London, earlier this week.

The Bollywood legend surprised fans as she popped up at the unveiling herself, along with husband Ranveer Singh – whom she tied the knot with in a lavish wedding last year – and her parents.

And, speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, the 33-year-old revealed the figure has spurred the Gully Boy actor on to get his own.

Deepika revealed Ranveer Singh isn’t jealous of her status – but wants his own (Picture: Madame Tussaud’s)

When asked if he was ‘jealous’ of the achievement, she told us: ‘I’m sure he does [want one] but no, I wouldn’t say jealous. I think he’s inspired.

‘You know, he doesn’t have that streak of jealousy in him but I think he’s inspired, and we were all talking about how the next time we’ll all be here, it will be to unveil his figure.

‘And hopefully soon!’

Seeing as how the 33-year-old has already had an incredible start to 2019, we wouldn’t put it past him!

Deepika’s waxwork was unveiled to the public on Thursday, and was placed in the A-List party section at the museum – making the Padmaavat actress the first Indian actress to make it in that particular zone.

Basically, she’s smashing it – and has her sights set on Marvel next

Deepika’s statue has joined a string of famous faces at Madame Tussaud’s, including Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston and Kim Kardashian, and took six months of intense work by the team to create.

The figure donned a replica of the star’s intricate lehengha she wore to the IIFA Awards, in Madrid, back in 2016.

And she revealed the outfit choice was all her own.

‘It was important to me to have to have the figure wear something [which] embraced my roots. That very, very important for me,’ she said.

‘It was important for me to wear an Indian designer with an Indian touch to it, but at the same time, something that would appeal to a global audience. The team Madame Tussaud’s was on board the idea.

Deepika was left ‘overwhelmed’ by her waxwork figure (Picture: Madame Tussaud’s)

But, despite being emotional at the achievement, she revealed she is more overwhelmed by her parents’ reaction – flying dad Prakash and mum Ujjala out to see ‘her’ first-hand.

‘I think it was an extremely overwhelming experience for my family,’ she continued. ‘My parents went there for the very first time more than 35 years ago, when they first got married. And then they took us again many years ago, when my sister and I were little kids.

‘And I didn’t ever imagine that, you know, a day will come when my figure will, you know, make its way there. It’s very, very surreal, exciting.

‘[My parents] cannot stop talking about how similar it is to me, how identical. I wouldn’t even say similar, it’s identical. And especially for my parents to feel that way…. My mother actually said, “Now I know what it feels like if I had twins”.

‘They loved it so much. They haven’t stopped talking about it. They also insisted on meeting the entire team behind the figure. They spoke to the people who made the figure, the people who styled it, the hair and makeup. They were trying to extract as much information as possible because they just can’t believe that people can actually do something as beautiful as this.

‘It’s extremely overwhelming. It’s actually a weird feeling to actually see yourself outside of your own body? I don’t think I’ll ever be able to entirely articulate the feeling but in a gist I think it’s just really surreal and almost weird to get a sense of what people perceive you to be in a physical form. It’s quite weird.’

Deepika’s figure is available to see at Madame Tussauds London, along with a new interactive dance wall for guests to try out their best dance moves. Tickets available at www.madametussauds.com/London.

Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole has shared his heartbreak over the terrorist attacks in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The former dancer was born in the city and revealed his sadness after 49 worshippers were gunned down.

‘With tears in my eyes I struggle to put into words the heartbreak I am feeling and the sadness for the people of my home city,’ he said.

‘Stay strong, stand together and united people. The world is sending you love and strength through our tears.’

Brendan ended his statement with the hashtag: ‘#CHRISTCHURCH.’

A three-year-old boy is among several children to have died in the Christchurch terror attacks, it has emerged.

Many of the 49 victims of the devastating attack were refugees who had fled warzones for a better life in New Zealand; Muslims account for just over 1% of New Zealand’s population.

Twelve operating theatres worked through the night on almost 50 wounded people and 11 remain in intensive care.

Brenton Tarrant, 28, is accused of slaughtering 49 worshippers and injuring almost 50 more as they attended Friday prayers.

He appeared in court on Saturday morning as the identities of the dead, including young children, began to be shared.

The distraught family of Mucad Ibrahim announced that the boy, three, had not survived the massacre.

Mucad was with his dad and brother Abdi Ibrahim at the Al Noor mosque in Deans Avenue when the shooter burst in and opened fire.

A 14-year-old boy, Sayyad Milne, and four-year-old Abdullahi Dirie are also among the victims.

Sayyad was described as a good-natured, kind teenager who had dreams of becoming an international footballer.

His father John said: ‘I remember him as my baby who I nearly lost when he was born.

‘Such a struggle he’s had throughout all his life, he’s been unfairly treated but he’s risen above that and he’s very brave.

‘A brave little soldier. It’s so hard… to see him just gunned down by someone who didn’t care about anyone or anything.’

The first victim was named as grandfather Daoud Nabi, who threw himself in front of another worshipper to save the person’s life.

His son Omar said the family had left Kabul, Afghanistan, for New Zealand in the 1970s and his father spent his life helping refugees.

Another victim was named as Naeem Rashid, who was killed trying to wrestle the gun from the shooter.

He was rushed to hospital but died later on Friday night.

Mr Rashid’s 21-year-old son Talha also lost his life in the mass shooting.

Mr Rashid was from Abbottabad, a city in Pakistan where he worked with a private bank before moving to Christchurch to work as a teacher.

Thirty-six people remain in hospital, including a boy aged two and a four-year-old girl; of those, 11 are in intensive care.

‘The wounds from gunshots are often quite significant,’ Christchurch Hospital’s Chief of Surgery Greg Robertson said.

‘Many of the people require multiple trips to the theatre to deal with the complex series of injuries they have.

‘We have had patients with injuries to most parts of the body that range from relatively superficial soft tissue injuries to more complex injuries involving the chest, the abdomen, the pelvis, the long bones and the head.’

The couple confirmed their split on Tuesday, after 12 years together – however, a source has since described it as ‘the best publicity they’ve had in years’.

Tanya, 29, referred to the split as a ‘painful decision’, adding: ‘We have a huge amount of love and respect for each other and will continue to remain friends forever.’

Jim later shared a similar statement on his own Instagram page, adding: ‘We will continue to support one another in all of our ventures and are both looking forward to what the future holds’.

The couple splashed out on a lavish wedding back in 2015, however decided to keep it mostly private from fans.

Speaking about the decision to keep things under the radar, Jim previously explained: ‘I just think we wanted our wedding to be very intimate, very private.

‘We share so much of our lives, and we wanted a day where we could just turn everything off.

‘I didn’t even have my phone on me. It was actually really nice, just to have a day with me and my wife and our really close friends and family.’

Bobby Brazier has shared some ‘gorgeous’ modelling photos, and fans have been quick to point out that his late mum Jade Goody would be proud.

As the 10-year anniversary of the Big Brother star’s death approaches, her 15-year-old son shared the black and white snaps on Instagram, asking: ‘1, 2 or 3 ? ❤️ like your favourite x.’

Some fans noticed a striking resemblance between Bobby and his mum, with one telling him: ‘You look so much like your mum.’

Another added: ‘Your the double of your beautiful mum she would be so proud of you both (sic),’ while one more told him: ‘Gorgeous! Your Mum will be shining over you & be so proud.’

Bobby is one of Jade’s two sons, with his younger brother Freddie staying off of social media.

The star’s former partner Jeff Brazier recently opened up about their struggles around the 10th anniversary of their mum’s death.

The 39-year-old brought up his sons alone after Jade died in 2009 at age 27, and revealed as they approach the anniversary it ‘stirs up so much’ in his sons, and he’s seen their behaviour ‘slightly alter’ in the lead up.

‘They promise as teenagers that it’s not impacting on them, but obviously you know better as an adult,’ he said while speaking on a panel for charity Grief Encounter.

‘You can see it, and it’s really difficult when your little babies are struggling or suffering with something that you can’t take away.’

He continued: ‘But I take great comfort from the fact that they have some incredible traits, some tools that I know are going to really enable them to live incredible lives.’

Meanwhile, Jeff’s careful to make sure his sons don’t forget about their mum.

He told the Daily Star Sunday: ‘It can be very confusing at times because where mum should be an easy conversation to bring up at this late stage, it actually becomes harder because teenagers don’t want to talk about things they’re emotionally invested in.

‘We used to have a monthly discussion about mum, but now they’re almost resistant to it.

‘I need to make sure they still talk about their mum and never forget about her.’

Sarah Michelle Gellar cringing over throwback photos with Kelly Ripa is all of us

Sarah Michelle Gellar cringing over throwback photos is all of us (Picture: Avalon, @sarahmgellar)

Sarah Michelle Gellar is having a good old laugh at her throwback photos.

Talk about cringing all the way down memory lane.

The 41-year-old star roped in her longtime friend Kelly Ripa as she shared an old picture of the pair on Instagram.

Taking to the social media site on Friday, Sarah Michelle captioned the shot, writing: ‘Sometimes when I see these old pics, I don’t even know where to start with the — what was I thinking?!?’

Same hun, same.

To be fair her throwback is one of the best out there and we think she knows it as she joked: ‘Well @kellyripa at least we co-ordinated our giant bang flip.’

The picture showed a fashionable pair in long black jackets and in denim – that millennials now call mum jeans – and hair swept to one side.

It certainly looks like the late 80s or early 90s, alright.

‘I mean what was my pink even doing??’ Sarah Michelle wrote in reference to the little finger sticking out.

We were thinking that too, but we really didn’t want to be the first to point it out.

Kelly also ripped into the throwback when she commented underneath the post: ‘Did I ever have a good hair day?’

Taking their banter one step up Sarah responded: ‘Hey I have always wanted my hair to look like you — it’s just perspective.’

Touche.

The pair have remained friends for years after first meeting on the set of All My Children in the ’90s.

Kelly, who spent 12 years playing Hayley Vaughan, also met her husband and on-screen love interest Mark Consuelos on the daytime drama.

However, before the lovebirds even sparked a romance, Kelly knew he was the one.

‘I saw my husband in a photograph before I saw him,’ the 47-year-old told Bruce Bozzi for his SiriusXM Radio Andy show Lunch with Bruce last summer. ‘I knew when I saw his photograph.’

She added: ‘They had been looking for this character for some time. They were looking really for a Latino actor, not an actor that was like — they didn’t want like a dark-haired guy. They wanted a Latino actor.

‘And so I had auditioned every Latino actor in the city and around the city and then California. And then all of a sudden, Judy Blye Wilson, who was the casting director at All My Children, said, “I found him.”’

She said when she looked at his picture her ‘entire future with him flash before’her eyes.

And it seems like they got their happily ever after as their love blossomed, and over 20 years later they share three children – sons Michael, 21, and Joaquin, 16, and daughter Lola, 17.

These reactions are a good sign of things to come (Picture: ITV)

It’s time to get back to the Way of Essex, with series 24 about to come to ITV.

The format has changed slightly – with two 50-minute episodes a week to one hour-long one – but the drama will be all the same.

For the first episode, the gang are off to Thailand for holiday, and fans will know that it never really runs smoothly.

Here’s what to expect, as well as how to watch it.

Who’s left TOWIE?

There’s been a huge cast cull ready for this series, and Kady McDermott and Myles Barnett are two of those not coming back.

We’ll also be losing Chloe Lewis, Jon Clark, his brother Chris Clark, Jordan Wright, and Dean Ralph.

Pete Wicks and Sam Mucklow from TOWIE
It wouldn’t be TOWIE without Pete and Sam causing trouble (Picture: ITV)

Both Chloe and Myles released statements after stating that it was their choice to move on from the show, and they were looking forward to what happens next.

Yaz and Lockie are taking a break too, but will be back, along with Yaz’s brother Adam.

Who’s returning for season 24?

It seems the last couple standing might be Georgia Kousoilou and Tommy Mallet, but there are plenty of old favourites.

Chloe Sims will there, along with Pete Wicks, Diags, Shelby Tribble, Dan Edgar and Sam Mucklow.

There will also be some new faces keen to make their presence known (including Chloe’s little sister Demi).

What to expect

There’s going to be some conflict between Shelby Tribble and Sam Mucklow, as she catches him flirting with newcomer Demi Sims.

Her big sister Chloe is wanting answers on his intentions, and Shelby wants to know why he’d disrespect her – ultimately, there will be a dramatic climax.

Pete Wicks and Shelby will also be reuniting for the first time since their split, so let’s see how things go there.

When is TOWIE on, and what channel?

You can catch it all on Sunday 17th March, 9pm on ITVBe.

The kings of our collective heart (Picture: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images)

Queer Eye season three has dropped and we couldn’t happier about it.

That’s right, the Fab Five are back again, and just in time for a weekend binge.

In Queer Eye, the boys travel around the American south and mid-west giving whole-life makeovers, teaching people in need how to treat themselves with the care and attention they deserve.

From lifestyle and culture tips to interior decor, the boys use their collective expertise to try and improve the lives of the people they visit.

It’s so far made for hilarious, joyful, and sometimes tear-jerking TV. There’s no reason to think that this season will be any different in that respect, however there have been some deviations from the old norm in season three.

Not only have the group made-over their first lesbian on the show, but the filming location has changed…

Where was Queer Eye season three filmed?

This season, Queer Eye wasn’t filmed in or around Atlanta, Georgia, as it was in the two previous seasons.

In season three, Karamo, Bobby, Antoni, Tan, and sweet baby Jonathan have traveled around Missouri (Bobby’s home state) and Kansas to find people who need their help.

If you’ve already blasted through season three, then never fear, because the Fab Five will soon be jetting off to Japan to shoot Queer Eye: We’re In Japan! in which they will transform the lives of ‘four deserving heroes’.

You can watch all three seasons of Queer Eye on Netflix now.

BTS have reached another huge milestone on their way to take over the world.

The seven-piece K-Pop band’s video for Idol has reached 400 million views, six months after it was released on YouTube.

To be fair, it is a total banger.

But the remix of the song, featuring actual Nicki Minaj, still has a long way to catch up, with the video on 69 million.

The Army can get that number up in no time.

Idol is the seventh BTS song to pass the milestone, with DNA soaring on 668 million, Blood, Sweat & Tears racking up 423 million, and Mic Drop getting 454 million.

All of this and they sold out a second date at Wembley stadium?

Basically, your faves are smashing it.

However, Blackpink are still the reigning K-Pop band where YouTube are concerned, with the video for Ddu-Du Ddu-Du being named the most-watched South Korean band on the platform.

It is so damn catchy!

At the time of writing, the clip has amassed more than 710,686,200 watches since it was released last June, and only a few hundred million of those were us…

They all have a way to go to match Psy, after more than 3.3 billion tuning in to watch 2012 hit Gangnam Style.

We wonder how many of those views were Ed Balls trying to learn the routine for Strictly Come Dancing…

Drake & Josh reunion confirmed after 12 years as Drake Bell promises ‘cool and creative’ reboot

Drake & Josh is getting the reboot treatment (Picture: Getty)

Drake & Josh is getting the reboot treatment – and we are so excited.

The series – which focused on the titular characters learning to live together as step-brothers – finished in 2007, but will be back on screens soon.

And Drake Bell has promised it will be ‘cool’.

Well, we’ve waited 12 years for this so it better be…

‘We’re working on something,’ the 32-year-old told People magazine. ‘I’m excited. I think we have a great idea.

Drake & Josh stopped in 2007, after three years on screens (Picture: Nickelodeon)

‘[The show] is going to be way more creative, way cooler than just you know the college years or something like that.

‘We knew that if we were ever going to come back, it’s got to be something cool. I’m excited to see what the fans think.’

And, it’s not just the thought of reprising his role Drake is excited by, he’s also keen to get back on set with Josh Peck again.

Us too, hun.

‘We’ve known each other for so long, and it really is once in a lifetime in this industry that you get to work with somebody and it clicks like that,’ he continued.

Drake (R) and Josh (L) had a major falling out recently (Picture: FilmMagic)

‘He’s just got an amazing comedic wit and incredible timing and he’s really smart and we really get along. So I think that it just kind of all goes together.’

Drake’s words are music to our ears as the pair had a huge falling out a few years ago, after Josh didn’t invite him to his wedding.

Which is a little awkward…

Instead of making the beef private, he decided to sub-tweet the hell out of the 32-year-old, posting: ‘When you’re not invited to the wedding the message is clear.

‘True colours have come out today. Message is loud and clear. Ties are officially cut. I’ll miss you brotha (sic).’

But he later insisted the pair have worked through all their drama, and are closer than ever.

Bring on the Drake & Josh reboot!

Hailey Baldwin has been urged to divorce Justin Bieber for the betterment of his mental health.

The suggestion came via Wendy Williams who claimed that the model should divorce Justin in ‘the name of love’ to help him focus on his own health.

‘Hailey Baldwin is only 22, she’s supposed to be a newlywed,’ said Wendy.

‘I think I’d want to divorce him in the name of love. In the name of love and friendship.’

‘I’m 22, I met you when I was 17. Now, he’s with these public cries and what if they want to have kids? Is he going to be an adequate father? What kind of father and husband is he going to be?’

She then suggested it was ‘all too much for a 22-year-old’.

‘They can quickly get divorced,’ the tall show host added.

‘In the name of love, not mean. Good luck you kids.’

Wendy’s comments come after Justin took to Instagram to reveal that he had been ‘struggling a lot’ and was feeling ‘disconnected’.

‘Just wanted to keep you guys updated a little bit hopefully what I’m going through will resonate with you guys. Been struggling a lot,’ he shared.

‘Just feeling super disconnected and weird.

‘I always bounce back so I’m not worried just wanted to reach out and ask for your guys to pray for me.’

He added: ‘God is faithful and ur prayers really work thanks .. the most human season I’ve ever been in facing my stuff head on (sic).’

Viewers ratings went down this year (Picture: BBC)

Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day show suffered a hiccup with viewer ratings down compared to 2017.

The nation came together to watch the star-studded programme for the BBC One fundraiser on Friday night, with 5.6 million people tuning in.

However, it lost 600,000 viewers from its 2017 edition, when an average of 6.2 million switched on.

On average, only 800,000 more viewers tuned in to Comic Relief than Coronation Street which was being aired on ITV at the same time; 4.8 million fans tuned in to long-running soap.

The Red Nose Day charity telethon had raised £63,548, 668 by 1.30am on Saturday (16 March), with the show continuing into the early hours.

The last edition of Comic Relief in 2017 raised over £70 million, while 2018’s Sport Relief raised £38 million during their live TV event.

Since the charity’s inception in 1985, Comic Relief has raised a grand total of over £1 billion in a bid to rid the world from poverty.

This year’s Red Nose Day telethon included a bunch of special entertainment surprises, including a sequel to Four Weddings And A Funeral.

Other highlights included a Bodyguard one-off episode featuring Keeley Hawes, and an opening salvo from David Beckham.

The night was hosted by a number of duo presenters, including Emma Willis and Paddy McGuinness, Zoe Ball and David Tennant, and Alesha Dixon and Romesh Ranganathan.

You can catch Comic Relief on BBC iPlayer.

Michael Jackson’s music has reportedly been axed from The X Factor in the wake of HBO’s Leaving Neverland documentary.

The talent show, headed up by Simon Cowell, has featured the king of pop’s music heavily in the past including themed episodes such as a Michael Jackson vs Queen special.

However, since the documentary was aired, all looks set to change.

The show will be axing the star’s hits for the upcoming series in light of the accusations, leaving Jackson’s estate without its ‘hefty royalty cheques,’ according to The Sun newspaper.

In Leaving Neverland, Wade Robson and James Safechuck accuse the singer of sexually abusing them as children.

Since the episodes aired, radio stations around the world have banned the late singer’s music while Louis Vuitton have pulled Michael Jackson themed pieces from their menswear collection.

Fans and various members of Jackson’s family continue to defend him.

His nephew Taj has been protesting that Michael is innocent, claiming that Robson is ‘100% lying’ about his allegations.

He said on the Victoria Derbyshire Show: ‘If you look at the timeline, which is what we’ve been trying to say to people, Wade was doing tribute shows after tribute shows, he even begged for the Cirque Du Soleil choreography job.

‘Once the estate said no on that, he started secretly writing a book about his abuse and he shopped it around and nobody picked it up. A year later he comes out publicly with it. That’s in the deposition, that’s not just me saying it.

‘I know Wade, and it bothered me a lot. I feel betrayed. I was the one who got Wade into my uncle’s memorial, I thanked Wade when he testified. I wish I could take all that back.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for the X Factor for comment.

Andrew Garfield brands ‘Kardashian effect devastating and sick-inducing’

Andrew Garfield is seemingly not a fan of the Kardashian-Jenner crew.

The star of The Amazing Spider-Man made his confession when talking about society’s obsession with fame.

Unless you have been living under a rock in the last decade or so, you must be aware of the growing and unstoppable genre of reality TV, where people are famous for famous’ sake.

And the most iconic ‘famous just because’ family are the Kardashians.

The family rose to fame with their reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians after matriarch Kris Jenner turned daughter Kim Kardashian-West’s sex tape with singer Ray J into a money-making machine.

16 years on and the family – Kim, Khloe, Rob and Kourtney Kardashian, and Kylie, Kendall, and Kris Jenner –  are still here with us and brand new reality TV stars are popping up left right and centre.

Andrew is not here for it.

Speaking to The Independent he said laughing: ‘You ask a kid in pre-school now, What’s your dream?’ “To be famous,” they’ll reply.’

And who does he blame for this?

What is the Kardashian effect? Andrew seems to know (Picture: Getty Images)

‘It’s the Kardashian effect,’ he said knowingly. ‘I find it devastating and sick-inducing.’

He added: ‘That normalisation of self-promotion and the obsession of fame is just heartbreaking.’

We take it that Andy is not expecting an invitation to the Kardashian household anytime soon.

Those ties may have been severed a while ago though, after he was romantically linked to singer Rita Ora last year.

Rita famously dated Rob Kardashian.

Rita’s alleged romance with Andrew emerged in November a few months after she split from music producer Andrew Watt, and has also previously dated superstar DJ Calvin Harris in 2014.

The pair are said to have split earlier this month.

Under the Silver Lake is in UK cinemas now.

The day Peep Show fans have been waiting for is finally here.

No, not a reunion, but Theo Walcott’s 30th birthday… Or should that be Three-O Walcott.

Viewers have been biding their time for the Everton footballer’s big day ever since Jeremy (played by Robert Webb) revealed his plans to make a fortune by ‘selling a headline’ celebrating ‘Three-O’.

‘I’ve always got the Three-O Walcott millions,’ he confidently revealed in a series 8 episode.

Happy birthday, Theo Walcott (Picture: Getty)

While Mark (aka David Mitchell) explained: ‘Jeremy’s planning to sell the headline “Three-O Walcott” to a tabloid newspaper when Theo Walcott turns 30, and we’ve agreed not to argue whether that’s a good plan.’

Well it looks like Jez had the last laugh, as Theo Walcott has been trending on Twitter all day.

And Robert was one of the first to wish the former Arsenal star a good day – but refused to utter his now-infamous saying.

Spoilsport.

‘Happy Birthday to Walcott, the England and Everton forward who today celebrates his thirtieth,’ he tweeted.

‘Oh OK then! Theo Walcott has entered his thirty-first year. Happy Birthday.’

The official Everton Twitter account got into the swing of things, posting a video of the birthday boy chowing down on a cupcake and holding a club balloon.

‘At last we can say: THREE-0 WALCOTT! All the best, @TheoWalcott! #EFC,’ they joked.

Happy Three-O, Theo!

Fans are living for it (Picture: @jack_septic_eye)

YouTuber JackSepticEye has confirmed his relationship with fellow gamer GirlGamerGab and fans are living for it.

They’re also sending some affectionate shade his way, but what else would you expect?

The Irish YouTube star – real name Seán McLoughlin – posted a sweet snap of himself with his new girlfriend, simply captioning it: ‘Happy.’

Meanwhile, the Dutch gamer – real name Evelien Smolders – shared another photo of the pair of them, writing: ‘Out having a nice lunch with the babe.’

And fans of the pair were living for it, with one writing: ‘Seeing you happy is a big yes from me.’

Another added: ‘MY FUCKIN HEART IS IN LOVE.’

We feel you.

Some went down the slightly more shady route, with one viewer telling him: ‘Maybe having a gamer girlfriend will help you actually be good at video games now.’

Ouch.

Jack, 29, previously dated Signe Hansen – known online as Wiishu – for three years, with the pair confirming their split back in October.

Meanwhile, Gab, 30, confirmed her divorce from her husband last year, recently clarifying to a fan: ‘I tweeted about [the divorce] back in October, but I haven’t mentioned it on social media since and only mentioned it here and there in vids, so yeah many people will have missed it.’

The sweet photos come after Jack’s battle with fellow gamer and Twitch star Ninja for YouTube subscribers.

The battle between the pair began when the Irish gamer urged his fans to subscribe to his pal PewDiePie – real name Felix Kjellberg – to help him beat competitor T-Series.

However, fans quickly decided it was his turn, comparing his subscriber count to fellow gamer Ninja’s.

With both soaring above 21 million subscribers, things are still pretty close.

The Irish gamer only added fuel to the fire when he tweeted a comparison picture, showing Ninja inching ahead by about 1000 subscribers.

‘Alexa this is so sad!’ he wrote.

Meanwhile, Ninja – real name Tyler Blevins – appeared just a little less bothered about the whole affair, tweeting from his getaway in Poland.

The Bachelor UK winner Alicia Oates sparked speculation she had split from Alex Marks after appearing to brand him a ‘grade A t**t’ on Twitter.

And, after the couple looked loved-up on a night out, the 25-year-old has broken her silence on their relationship.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a photo of herself and the 31-year-old cuddling up to one another, alongside a video of the first moment they met.

‘A very happy ending to what was the most incredibly challenging and emotional journey for us both,’ she captioned the post for her 26.7k followers.

‘We want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved. The crew in SA & Antigua, production & casting @ricochetcasting Warner Brothers @wbitvp @channel5_tv & of course @wrighty_ and most of all I would like to thank everyone who watched the show.

‘Your support has meant so much to me and I will always treasure each and every message I received.’

While her beau shared near enough the exact same message on his own page, neither addressed their relationship head on.

Or the fact she reportedly called him a ‘grade A t**t’.

And many rushed to question whether the posts meant they were still a couple, or had secretly called time on their brief romance.

‘But are you actually together now….,’ one asked, while another commented: ‘I loved you and wanted you to end up with Alex . Are you still together? Xx.’

An Instagram user simply added: ‘So are they together??’

Alex chose Alicia to be his girlfriend in a tense final of The Bachelor this week, giving her his final rose above Charlotte E and Charlotte T.

In an emotional moment, he told the wedding planner he had ‘fallen in love with her’ during their time on the show.

‘You’re amazing, and your spirit is infectious. We giggle and laugh, and that’s something you know I want in the rest of my life,’ he said.

‘But I followed my heart, and Alicia, I’ve fallen in love with you.

‘It’s you! I have not felt like this in a very long time, and I want us to be happy together’.
