Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – who’s your favourite?

The Thursday Inbox discusses the most promising new fighting games of 2020, as one reader offers some useful advice on buying a gaming PC.

Passion project
I absolutely loved Masahiro Sakurai’s introduction of Terry Bogard for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This to me was the real example of Nintendo ‘magic’. It’s the sheer enthusiasm of the developers and their refusal to take themselves seriously. Form the late, great Iwata goofing around in Nintendo Directs to Sakurai going on for the best part of an hour about his love for SNK and early days as a gamer.

There’s no way some American marketer from Sony or Microsoft would suggest something like that but here you have the guy going on and on simply because he likes talking about. Apparently in front of a crowd of colleagues that are laughing along with him.

I had a quick go on Terry afterwards and he’s great too. I love that they got all his moves in there and allowing you to input them in the tradition way is an interesting escalation for Smash. I also really like the unusual way the stage works too, great use of a character that probably a lot of people hadn’t heard of.

I haven’t played him enough to say whether he’s my favourite character or not but I really think he could be. But then I’m not sure what is my current favourite either, as they’re all great. Maybe the Hero form Dragon Quest, because I like the way they have the menu attacks? It’s so hard to choose… what a game.

New year fight
So, GC – that’s it for big fighting games this generation – yeah? There’s going to a new Guilty Gear next year, but I can predict right now that while it will handle very nicely, it will be light on content. I could be wrong, I always live in hope of being wrong, but time will tell.

There’s going to be a fighting game based on League Of Legends or something, right? But that’s probably years and years away. That means, there’s nothing major on the horizon. Unless we find out that Sega have been working on a Virtua Fighter 6 or Fighting Vipers 3 in secret since 2016 or something. Ditto for Capcom and the likelihood of Street Fighter 6 or something more interesting. They would have probably announced it by now…
DMR

GC: Guilty Gear is absolutely something to look forward to and Arc System Works has Granblue Fantasy Versus coming out next year too. There’s also The King of Fighters XV, which seems very promising.

Guilty as charged
I felt obliged to write in and express my outrage at Mr Jenkins. I find it impossible not to feel furiously outraged when he thinks he has any right, in his first paragraph of his Capcom Home Arcade review, to furiously bring forth tears of nostalgia from me about the sad fate of arcade venues across the country.

The way he used words to outrage me into reminiscing about those large rooms with all the ear-deafening ecstasy of 20+ arcades coaxing you into parting with your parents’ hard-earned cash. He seems to think it fair to also remind me of local chippies having a solitary cabinet in the corner which always ended up with kids fighting when one kept Hadoukening the other in Street Fighter II. I’m verbing you with my Hadoukening Jenkins.

It’s probably why I’d put Astro Bot as my favourite game of the last 10 or more years. It brought out that little kid in me that was totally wowed by ‘this gaming lark’ way back in the arcades of the late 80s and early 90s.

Warm welcome
Seeing Retrothumb’s request regarding a gaming PC I thought I would chip in with my twopenn’orth. I have both built and bought gaming PCs over the years. There have been times it’s cheaper to build, other times it’s cheaper to buy.

My last two gaming PCs have been purchased from the Dell refurb shop and both were excellent value. An XPS8920 was my last purchase, as I really don’t like RGB lighting.

It’s always worth a look, as they often have discount codes available on top of the discount already given.

Only caveat is, although fully upgradable, the current XPS8930 case is fairly compact and I’m not convinced it’s the best design for airflow. Still, my RTX2060 runs well within temperature parameters.

PC Specialist have a very good reputation and you can pretty much design your own system with them.

Never bought a PC from Amazon, so I can’t help there I’m afraid.

My advice is get the best GPU you can afford. Bearing in mind that Nvidia have advised an RTX2060 for for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC at 60fps and 1080p gaming on high settings.

OK, it’s a beast of a game graphically, especially with the PC improvements, and at present this is an exception, but probably a sign of things to come!

If you do feel brave enough to home build, check out PC Part Picker. It shows other people’s builds and costs them for you.

Another thing to do is check out PC Gamer’s ‘best of’ hardware lists.

Finally, if you still want the console experience alongside your PC, Nvidia Shield will enable you to stream PC games to your TV and hook up controllers. I do this for Overcooked and other multiplayer games. This obviously only works with Nvidia graphics cards and does need a good 5GHz Wi-Fi connection…

Hope this helps! Welcome to PC gaming!

GC: That all seems very helpful, thanks.

Serious games
Great review of the Capcom Home Arcade. That Capcom mini sure looks and sounds very tasty. I aim to get one next year.

I’m not surprised about the Mario and Sonic Olympic game being a dud, however. I imported Sega’s proper Tokyo 2020 Official video game for Switch last month from eBay and that does play well.

It cost me just over forty quid and is fully English.
Ste C

GC: Apparently Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: The Official Video Game is out next year in the West, but only on PlayStation 4 and Switch. If anyone was curious.

One at a time
Hey GC, can you have a full four-player championship on the 21 3D events on Mario and Sonic Tokyo Olympics? I remember on the old Wii version you could only play four events at a time, which was a huge frustrating deal-breaker.

You couldn’t have a full championship on Beijing 2008 or London 2012 either, to be fair, so me and my mates still play Athens 2004 on PlayStation 2 with a multitap.
OakTree Inn (PSN ID)

GC: We think you’re stuck with that; you still have to select individual events each time, which we agree is very limiting.

Successful repair
I wrote in some time ago regarding my malfunctioning Switch Joy-Cons, expressing dissatisfaction at their build quality. I just wanted to update on how I got on with Nintendo UK.

Firstly, can I thank the two readers who wrote in with their own Nintendo support experiences, both UK (good experience) and Nintendo Australia (bad experience).

I submitted both Joy-Cons to Nintendo and got two new replacement Joy-Cons back approx. three weeks later, and a new 12-month warranty to boot.

For anyone experiencing similar issues I should say that submitting the support request on their website was very simple. You then simply send off your items in a suitably packaged box and they scan your phone at a post office, so postage is free.

You also only send the items that you want checked, i.e. Joy-Cons only in my case. Also, my Joy-Cons were almost two years old at the time and Nintendo didn’t quibble.

I hope a new Nintendo Australia Manager is somehow reading this and can help the other reader who experienced such difficulty with them.

Thanks to all concerned.

Room for debate
RE: Panda. I think you missed the point of most of what was going on in the Zelda conversation, which was that someone wrote in complaining that someone wasn’t a true Zelda fan because they appeared to criticise Breath Of The Wild. Which I said was ironic because it’s the least Zelda-like game in recent times, missing out on many hallmarks of the series that make Zelda games not only identifiable as a Zelda game, but also great.

In my opinion that was a bad thing for obvious reasons, and I didn’t enjoy the game much, and was very disappointed with the poor dungeons, lack of proper items, and poor bosses. If you love survival games or open world games, then I imagine you filled your boots, but neither of those things are what I’m after in a Zelda game. And neither has anyone else previously, since they weren’t survival games in the past and nor were they trying to be an open world experience to that extent.

If you want to argue semantics about what is an open world game and what is a survival game, feel free, but pedantry shouldn’t get in the way of my point. We’d be here all day otherwise.

However, I didn’t say the series shouldn’t evolve or change, and I did say that games such as Majora’s Mask did this and managed to retain a Zelda feel, so it is possible to do. Ocarina Of Time managed it as well and retained the Zelda feel, although it did stay with the basic formula. However, Breath Of The Wild hasn’t managed to retain the Zelda feel, in my view, and if it did, it was only because it tricked people into believing it had with the relatively thin veneer of colour palette, sound effects, and setting. Sounds a lot, but gameplay is what makes a game.

And the shrines were very lazy (and I only used lazy in regards to the shrines) – they reused the same formulas time and again in different shrines, and none of them were very good, clever, complicated, or memorable. I’m not sure there’s room for debate in that.
TickTockRob (gamertag/PSN ID/SW-5541-5798-6105)

GC: Breath Of The Wild is not a survival game, it just has a few survival game elements. Open world isn’t a genre either, it’s just a style of level. Trying to pigeonhole the game in this way seems like half the problem. And just because you don’t like something doesn’t make the developer lazy, that’s very disrespectful.

A good reveal
I like Guerrilla Games’ attitude to their upcoming releases. Why can’t all publishers be this relaxed?

I imagine their marketing managers said let’s keep it hush and not show anything until we officially announce a game, but at the same time not pretend it doesn’t exist by having anyone and everyone attached to the project sign NDAs. They probably worded the recent job advert in a way that would let prospective applicants know what the job was likely to be, and I’m sure they’re not bothered that we know Horizon: Zero Dawn 2 is coming.

We all enjoy a good reveal, so it only requires developers, publishers and consumers to respect the ways in which a company wants to first announce or show a game.

I guess the industry’s notorious secrecy dates back to the magazine world exclusive, whereby in order for them to profit from a publication’s hype (i.e. unofficial advertising) with a huge cover and several other perks, they’d need to promise that no one else would beat them to it with any leaks.

At its worst, what that that must have meant though was an opaque sum of money being paid, some sort of agreement over review scores, and the withholding of details from other journalists. GC, I dare say this still goes on today?

On another note, I think Horizon Zero Dawn 2 as a PlayStation 5 launch title would work perfectly. People say Sony might be in a bit of trouble the next generation but as far as I can see as long as they hold on to the talent in the studios they have under their wing, they’ll be able to churn out massive exclusives that draw an audience to the format.

The Videogamer.com podcast was saying the other day that they wish all games could be released for all formats and that exclusives are a bit silly in this day and age, but I for one enjoy the format ‘identity’ that a console can forge. As GC also said recently, the way Nintendo makes games and machines alongside each other means that this practice is unlikely to end any time soon.
Owen Pile (NongWen – PSN ID)

GC: It goes on today in that YouTubers that are regularly paid to advertise or play certain games, although they’re supposed to make it clear that’s what they’re doing. Anyone else would have far more to gain from exposing a publisher for attempting to bribe them.

This week’s Hot Topic
The subject for this weekend’s Inbox was suggested by reader Grackle, who asks what is the worst sequel you’ve ever played?

If there’s one thing the video games industry is never short of its sequels, but which ones have you found the most disappointing? Was it because you were a big fan of the original or because you were really looking forward to the new one and expected it to be different to how it turned out?

How do you feel about sequels in general and how much do you look forward to them compared to original games? If the series in question got another sequel afterwards did you play that, and how did you feel about that?

Keanu Reeves ‘saved’ by Alexandra Grant as artist helped him ‘open up’ after death of ex-girlfriend

Keanu Reeves has reportedly been ‘saved’ from a ‘dark place’ by his new girlfriend Alexandra Grant, following the tragic death of his former partner Jennifer Symes.

The Matrix actor went public with his and Alexandra’s relationship at the LACMA Art + Film Gala on Sunday, after quietly dating for the past year.

It’s said that Keanu, 44, is ‘extremely happy’ with the artist, who reportedly helped him to overcome the grief from the death of his ex-girlfriend.

Keanu and Jennifer were in a serious relationship and she fell pregnant with their daughter Ava. However, their baby girl was stillborn at eight months in 1999.

The couple split shortly after but the tragedy wasn’t over as Jennifer drove her 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee into a row of parked cars in Los Angeles and died in 2001 at the age of 28.

Revealing how Alexandra has been a good influence on Keanu, a source told Life & Style Weekly: ‘She’s one of the few people who’s managed to get Keanu to open up about his emotions and past.

‘He was in such a dark place for so long, but Alexandra’s positive outlook and support have played a huge part in helping him turn his life around.’

According to the insider, Keanu’s friends say Alexandra has not only ‘stolen his heart’ but has also ‘saved him’.

They described the 46-year-old artist as ‘kind, warm and spiritual’ as well as a ‘good communicator’.

It’s the first time Keanu has been pictured so publicly with a girlfriend in around 10 years and it’s safe to say he looked completely smitten during their red carpet debut.

An insider has since revealed that the couple wanted to keep their romance quiet after they started dating earlier this year, and have known each other for a decade.

They also said Keanu is ‘extremely happy’ and ready to be public about their love.

However, it’s not the first time the pair have been seen together.

Last month, they were pictured enjoying a cosy date night in Hollywood with Alexandra seen affectionately resting her head on his shoulder.

And in May, Alexandra joined the Toy Story 4 actor on the red carpet at the MOCA Benefit 2019, before they held hands while posing for a photo at the Saint Laurent Men’s spring summer 2020 show in Malibu back in June.

Kate Garraway appears to confirm I’m A Celebrity stint after weeks of speculation

Kate Garraway has appeared to confirm she’ll be appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

The 52-year-old has been constantly teased about whether she’ll be heading into the jungle by her Good Morning Britain co-stars over the last few weeks.

And, on today’s instalment, it seems she couldn’t quite hold it in anymore.

During a chat about what a person’s Christmas Nativity role meant for the rest of their lives, she explained that she played Mary – which correlated to earning £39,000 a year and having 1,504 social media friends.

However, when Richard Arnold joked that it ‘didn’t bode well for the public vote’, she replied: ‘I’ll be back in the Versace [hotel] with that smorgasbord of sushi and dirty burgers.’

A shocked Ben Shephard questioned: ‘Really?!’

Quickly backtracking, she continued: ‘Well if I were to be, ever in the future, going in…

‘Oh…’

It’s that sheepish ‘oh’ that might have been her downfall…

Susanna Reid had Kate’s back, and put the spotlight firmly on her co-host, asking: ‘Ben Shephard, is this all a foil in case you’re going into the jungle?’

‘A month in Australia, staying in the Versace hotel…,’ he joked.

‘All you want to do, this is my top tip for anyone going in the jungle, get thrown out really quickly and stay at the Versace hotel.

‘It’s such an incredible hotel, there are very few hotels like it, just stay on the Gold Coast for a month while everyone else struggles with the bugs, the rats, the snakes…’

Over to you, Kate…

The GMB star isn’t the only famous face linked with a stint in the Australian jungle, with Love Island’s Amy Hart, Arsenal legend Ian Wright and Nadine Coyle rumoured to be heading in.

I’m A Celebrity returns on 17 November, so we don’t have too long to wait…

Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays, at 6am, on ITV.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are completely smitten as they flirt on date night

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West loved-up at awards
Aw, you guys (Picture: Splash News)

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had a newlywed glow about them as they put on all the PDA in the world at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards 2019 last night.

The couple, who married in 2014, jetted over to New York on Wednesday to attend the awards alongside her mother Kris Jenner and her partner Corey Gamble, and fashion designer Riccardo Tisci.

But even with all that company, Kim and Kanye only had eyes for each other.

Before making their way inside MOMA where the event was being held, the couple could barely keep their hands off each other with Kanye, 42, sweetly hugging his wife as she giggled like a schoolgirl in love.

The couple then gave the photographers the money shot by sharing a passionate kiss outside.

Once inside on the red carpet (or blue, in this case), Kanye was ever attentive towards the SKIMS founder and couldn’t take his eyes off her as she posed for photos. Kim, 39, returned the affection and gently rested her hand on the Gold Digger rapper’s chest.

The power couple looked particularly stylish for the star-studded evening out, with Kanye looking dapper in a navy blue suit teamed with a turtleneck jumper, boots and a thick gold chain.

Meanwhile Kim threw it back in time by donning a pair of blue leather chaps, blue jeans and a matching denim top.

At one point during the event, Kim and Kanye graced the stage to present an award.

The night saw Julianne Moore honoured as an acting and activism innovator, Tyler, the Creator as a music innovator, Riccardo Tisci as a fashion innovator, Melina Matsoukas as a film innovator, and Eddie Murphy as an entertainment innovator.

Once the official order of business was out of the way, Kim and Kanye spent the rest of the night hanging out with A$AP Rocky and other celebrity pals.

It’s been a busy week for Kim, who celebrated her mum Kris’ 64th birthday earlier this week.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star pulled out all the stops to surprise the family matriarch by renting out their former home, where Kim and her siblings grew up.

Lady Gaga cancels Enigma Las Vegas show as she’s ‘too weak’ to perform

Lady Gaga has been forced to cancel the latest performance of her Enigma Las Vegas residency, after coming down with an illness.

The Bad Romance singer confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing a snap of herself hooked up to an IV in a hotel room, while covering her face.

Alongside the upload, the 33-year-old explained that she had come down with a sinus infection, as well as bronchitis, and would be unable to take to the stage.

She told her 37.8million followers: ‘I’m so devastated I can’t perform tonight for so many people who travelled to come see me.

‘I have a sinus infection and bronchitis and feel very sick and sad I never want to let you down.

‘I’m just to weak and ill too perform tonight. Love you little monsters, I’ll make it up to you. I promise (sic).’

The A Star Is Born actress is due to be taking to the stage on 8 November, as part of the third leg of her residency.

But it is unknown whether she will be able to appear.

Gaga’s illness comes after she opened up about her tight bond with Bradley Cooper – explaining their closeness was a ‘performance’.

The pair were dogged by ‘silly’ rumours they had become more than friends while filming A Star Is Born together – speculation that erupted during their now-infamous Oscars performance of Shallow.

Discussing the claims, she told Elle magazine: ‘We wanted people to believe that we were in love.

‘Quite frankly, I think the press is very silly. I mean, we made a love story. ‘For me, as a performer and as an actress, of course we wanted people to believe that we were in love. And we wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars.

‘We wanted it to go right through the lens of that camera and to every television that it was being watched on. And we worked hard on it, we worked for days. We mapped the whole thing out—it was orchestrated as a performance.

‘In truth, when we talked about it, we went, “Well, I guess we did a good job!”.’

They definitely did…

Dog The Bounty Hunter has recalled how he considered suicide while struggling to come to terms with the death of his beloved wife Beth Chapman.

In the finale episode of his hit series Dog’s Most Wanted, the TV star opened up about his grief following Beth’s death in June at the age of 51 after a cancer battle.

Sharing his heartbreak, Dog said: ‘I’ve only been alone as I showered and I had to run out without a towel, because I can’t be alone right now. That’s when I start thinking about things.

‘And I lay down to take a nap, and I reached over to touch something, and it was the freaking dog. I don’t realise yet psychologically that she’s gone gone and I’ll never, ever see her. I don’t realise that.’

Dog, 66, went on to detail how he considered taking his own life as he worried how he would be able to go on with his beloved spouse.

‘I just hope that I don’t live very much longer without her, because now she made the first step, she’s through the gate. She paved a way for me. I want to take a pain pill so bad,’ he revealed.

‘I feel like if I did something to myself right now and passed away suicidal and I got to heaven and was like, “Hi honey”, and would she go, “You dumbass, why would you do that?” Or would she go, “Wow, you’re here”. I’ll be like “Of course I’m here. You left me. I’m here”, So, am I obligated to do that?’

Beth’s death has taken a toll on Dog, who was taken to hospital in September due to a suspected heart attack.

The TV star, real name Duane Chapman, had been experiencing chest pains and was taken to a medical centre in Colorado over a so-called ‘heart emergency’. However, he was released several days later after tests ruled out a heart attack, citing stress as a possible cause of the symptoms.

Later opening up about his health scare, Dog said he was suffering from a ‘broken heart’.

Speaking to FOX31, he said: ‘I’m going through some things psychologically now so that doesn’t help.

‘I think basically I had a broken heart. And of course it’s going to heal.’

From Game of Thrones to Coronation Street – here’s where you recognise The End of the F***ing World cast from

$

The End Of The F**king World trailer has just dropped
There a lot of recogniseable faces in this cast. (Picture: Netflix)

End of the F***ing World made its triumphant return for its second series this week, and it still has a wickedly devious, coal-black sense of humour.

The cast is made up of some recognisable faces from across both the small and silver screens, from high-budget epics like Game of Thrones and Star Wars to soaps such as Coronation Street…but just where exactly do you recognise them from?

Don’t worry, we’re here to help out.

Alex Lawther

Alex Lawther End of The F**king World
Lawther starred in one of Black Mirrors more brutal episodes (Picture: Rex)

Series lead Lawther has found perhaps his defining role in the series as self-confessed psychopath James. But outside of this show, his other most recognisebale is as Kenny in the Black Mirror episode Shut Up and Dance.

The 24 year old starred alongside Game of Thrones’ Jerome Flynn in the stand-alone episode, which aired as part of the Netflix anthology’s third season.

We won’t spoil the plot or the ending for those of you who haven’t seen it’s just….a lot. And you thought The End of the F***ing World was bleak.

Jessica Barden

Jessica Barden End of the F**king World cast
Jessica Barden has starred in everything from Penny Dreadful to Coronation Street (Picture: Rex)

Barden really found her leading lady moment as Alyssa – even if she wasn’t going to return for the second season at one point.

The role is really her first leading role on a drama – although dark fantasy fans may well recognise her for her role in Showtime’es underrated gothic horror Penny Dreadful. She guest-starred in six episodes of the show’s third and final season as Justine, a maid whose taken in by Lily Frankenstein (Billie Piper) and Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney).

As a child actress, she also had a stint in Corrie as Kayleigh Morton, although she was only in the soap for a year until her and most of her on-screen family were axed.

Gemma Whelan

Gemma Whelan End of the F**king World
Game of Thrones will instantly know where they’ve seen Gemma Whelan before (Picture: Rex)

Whelan starred in the first installment of the dark comedy as DC Eunice Noon, although she’s not present in the second run.

Of course, the actress’ most famous role is that of Yara Greyjoy in HBO’s high-fantasy hit Game of Thrones.

She’s also starred in Shakespearean comedy Upstart Crow and guest-starred in an episode of prestige drama The Crown.

Wonmi Mosaku

Wonmi Mosaku End of the F**king World cast
Woni Mosaku is a BAFTA-winning star (Picture: Rex)

Mosaku starred as the crime-solving partner to Whelan’s detective, and much like Whelan, doesn’t appear in the show past the first series.

As for her work outside of the dark comedy, you may well recognise her from her role in Luther. She played DS Catherine Halliday in the fifth and most recent series of the Idris Elba-starring crime drama.

We’re also in the presence of an acclaimed talent; the actress picked up the BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the TV film Damilola, Our Loved Boy in 2016, which dealt with the death of ten year old schoolboy Damilola Taylor in 2000.

Steve Oram

Steve Oram End of the F**king World cast
Steve Oram has had bit-parts in loads of different British TV dramas and sitcoms (Picture: Rex)

Oram plays James’ hapless father, but his face will be a recogniseable to British TV fans…even if you don’t quite realise where you know him from.

Oram is a storied bit-part actor, with roles across a wide range of British dramas and sitcoms.

Just a few on his resume include Miranda, Glue and Not Going Out, as well as the films Paddington, The World’s End and Sightseers, which he also co-wrote.

Josh Dylan

Josh Dylan End of the F**king World
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, it’s Josh Dylan (Picture: Picture)

Dylan, of course, played Young Bill in Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!

Not many people can make double denim look that good.

Naomi Ackie

Naomi Ackie End of The F**king World cast
Ackie has an upcoming role in one of the biggest film franchises on the planet (Picture: Rex)

Ackie is one of the show’s new cast members for its second run, playing the disgruntled former love interest of James’ first victim, Dr Clive Koch.

The British actress is going to have a major breakout in the next year or so, she’s starring in the next Star Wars film, Rise of Skywalker, and has also been featured in episodes of Vera and Doctor Who.

She was also one of the stars tapped for the Game of Thrones prequel Bloodmoon – but sadly, it was cancelled by HBO.

The End Of The F***ing World season two continues on Channel 4. The first season is available to stream on All4 and Netflix.

Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has praised the paramedics who took her to hospital when she was suffering from a brain aneurysm.

The 33-year-old revealed her heartbreaking ordeal earlier this year that required life-changing surgery.

And now, almost nine years after her operation, the actress has once again opened up on the ‘traumatic’ time, which was made slightly easier by the hospital staff who took care of her.

Talking to People magazine, she explained: ‘It was a brain aneurysm that ruptured, and it was pretty traumatic.

‘The paramedics were unbelievable. They’d given me drugs so I was in less pain, wrapped me up like a tortilla and made me laugh the whole way to the hospital.’

Emilia went on: ‘There I was, bleeding in the brain, and there we were in this ambulance having an absolute giggle. They were so gracious.’

And while giving a shout out to the medical team, she also thanked her mum for supporting her through the ‘frightening moment;,

‘There was also my mum, when she went into mum superpower in the hospital: I had aphasia [loss of speech], and she looked at me and went, “Yeah, I know exactly what you mean,”’ the star recalled.

‘She made me believe she understood exactly what I was saying. It was genuinely her greatest moment.’

Emilia first spoke about her health problems in March this year during a powerful essay for The New Yorker.

Here she opened up on how the issues started when she felt unwell during a training session not long after wrapping up filming for season one of Game Of Thrones in 2011.

The British actress wrote: ‘My trainer had me get into the plank position, and I immediately felt as though an elastic band were squeezing my brain.’

She tried to ignore the pain and continue with the workout but it became more difficult.

Emilia revealed how she then had to ‘almost crawl’ back to the locker room before sinking to her knees and becoming ‘violently, voluminously ill’.

‘Meanwhile, the pain — shooting, stabbing, constricting pain — was getting worse. At some level, I knew what was happening: my brain was damaged,’ she revealed.

Ian Wright ‘scared of everything’ as I’m A Celebrity rumours mount

Ian Wright might struggle a little in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle as he’s ‘scared of everything’.

Which is absolutely not ideal.

The Arsenal legend has been linked with an appearance on the ITV show, which is due to start on 17 November, but it doesn’t seem like he’ll thrive in Australia.

In fact, fellow footballer Mark Bright dropped his pal right in it, during an appearance on Good Morning Britain, revealing some of his biggest fears.

When Ben Shephard asked if he had any advice for the 56-year-old in the jungle, he confessed: ‘I’d vote for him to do every task.

‘He’s scared of the dark, he’s scared of everything! He puts the light on…

‘I don’t want to go into too much detail.’

Yep, that’s probably best…

Mark was quick to add that Ian wasn’t guaranteed to be appearing on the show, adding: ‘If he went in.’

The GMB hosts also took the opportunity to probe Kate Garraway on her fears – after she has been tipped to be joining the England ace on the show.

When Susanna Reid asked if the 52-year-old was scared of anything, she admitted: ‘Everything. Absolutely everything. I don’t like heights, I don’t like enclosed spaces, I don’t like spiders, I don’t like snakes.

‘Really nervous about Ian Wright with his weird dark fears, that’s going to really scare me.’

We’re not sure the middle of the Australian jungle is the best place for Kate and Ian, but we cannot wait to see this unfold…

I’m A Celeb kicks off on 17 November, with Declan Donnelly flying out yesterday, joined by wife Ali Astall and daughter Isla.

And a string of famous faces have been tipped to join them – and potentially Kate and Ian – out in Oz, including Caitlyn Jenner, Nadine Coyle and John Bercow.

Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays, at 6am, on ITV.

Ewan McGregor wants to be declared officially single before divorce after admitting he’s ‘happier’ with Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Ewan McGregor has reportedly asked a judge to declare him officially single before finalising his divorce from estranged wife Eve Mavrakis.

The Doctor Sleep actor filed for divorce from Eve in January 2018 after 22 years of marriage citing ‘irreconcilable differences’. Shortly after, he began dating his Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and recently admitted he’s happier with the actress than he was in his lengthy marriage.

According to People, Ewan, 48, has filed legal documents requesting that his marriage to French production designer Eve is dissolved and that his relationship status is officially changed.

In the papers, Ewan reportedly states his belief ‘that a termination of the status of our marriage at this time will assist in [the] resolution of the balance of this matter’.

Ewan and Eve’s divorce has been contentious so far, with the Ewan asking for joint custody of their four children – Clara, 23, Jamyan, 18, Esther, 17, and Anouk, eight. However, Eve responded asking for sole custody and visitation rights for the actor.

It’s said that the former couple still haven’t agreed on how to divide their assets, which include an estate worth more than $25 million (£19.3M), the actor’s $1.3 million (£1 million) pension and joint retirement plans.

Shortly after Ewan filed for divorce, Eve admitted she was disappointed that the Trainspotting actor had moved to end their marriage, stating: ‘It’s disappointing and upsetting but my main concern is our four children are OK.’

Last month, Ewan spoke to Men’s Journal and suggested that he’s happier in his current relationship with Mary, 34.

The actor said: ‘Lighter? Today? As opposed to then? I am better. I am happier. I think that’s true.’

It appears the divorce has negatively impacted Ewan’s relationship with his eldest daughter Clara, who lashed out at the actor and his new girlfriend Mary on Instagram, calling the actress as a ‘piece of trash’.

Clara slid into the comments of a fan account for Mary, which posted a photo describing her as ‘beautiful’.

But Ewan’s daughter wrote: ‘Most beautiful and talented woman on earth? Oh man y’all are delusional. The girl is a piece of trash x.’

Planned Parenthood takes down T.I. for believing an intact hymen equals virginity

T.I.’s admission that he takes his daughter to the gynaceologist every year to check her hymen is intact has infuriated people on many levels.

The rapper appeared on the Ladies Like Us podcast with hosts Nazanin and Nadia when he said that he accompanies 18-year-old Deyjah on an annual trip to the doctors to ensure she is still a virgin, by having her hymen checked.

Now, there’s multiple reasons that people are angry with T.I., real name Clifford Harris, but one of them is thinking that an intact hymen means someone hasn’t had sex.

And Planned Parenthood were there to set the record straight.

In a pretty savage subtweet, the organisation, which provides sexual and reproductive healthcare in the US, schooled the 39-year-old rapper on the concept of virginity.

Planned Parenthood’s official Twitter account, which is followed by nearly 300,000 people, tweeted: ‘Idk who needs to hear this but virginity is a made-up social construct, and it has absolutely nothing to do with your hymen.

Planned Parenthood tweet

Planned Parenthood tweet

‘A virgin is someone who’s never had sex. But “sex” means different things to different people, so “virginity” does too. Many don’t care what it means or think it matters. Whatever you believe, the fact is you can’t tell if someone’s had sex by checking their hymen.

‘The hymen is a thin, fleshy tissue that’s located at the opening of your vagina. Like other parts of our bodies, hymens are a little different for everyone.’

They continued: ‘Many people think the hymen totally covers the opening of your vagina until it’s stretched open, but that’s not usually the case. Most hymens naturally have a hole big enough for period blood to come out and for you to use tampons comfortably.

‘Some people just naturally have hymens that are more open. And many other activities besides sex can stretch your hymen — like riding a bike, doing sports, or putting something in your vagina (like a tampon or finger). Once your hymen is stretched open, it can’t grow back.’

Planned Parenthood concluded: ‘Some people think you can tell if someone’s had sex before if their hymen is stretched open. But that’s not the case.

Mic. Drop.

T.I, who has seven children including Deyjah, has been told that things like physical exercise can break a hymen by Deyjah’s doctor, but he seemingly didn’t listen.

The Blurred Lines rapper said on Ladies Like Us: ‘‘So it’s this one time we go, I think this might have been after her 16th birthday. This is what we do. Right after the birthday we celebrate. Usually like the day after the party she’s enjoying her gifts. I put a sticky note on the door: “Gyno. Tomorrow. 9:30.”

‘So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor will come and talk and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism. He’s like, “You know sir, I have to, in order to share information” — I’m like, “Deyjah they want you to sign this so we can share information. Is there anything you wouldn’t want me to know? Oh, ok. See doc, no problem.”

‘And so then they come and say, “Well I just want you to know that there are other ways besides sex that the hymen can be broken, like bike riding, athletics, horseback riding and just other forms of athletic physical activity.”

‘I say, “Look doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports. Just check the hymen please and give me back my results expeditiously”.’

T.I. added: ‘I will say as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact.’

When the hosts told the star that men would be like vultures around Deyjah, he responded: ‘[Virgins] no fun. Who wants a virgin? Like really? All that work.’

RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni Shangela is saying halleloo to a new acting role as she has landed a spot on the cast for new Riverdale spin-off Katy Keene.

The fan favourite will be joining the cast – which is lead by Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale in the title role – as drag queen Devereaux, the pageant rival of main character Jorge/Ginger Lopez.

The All Stars 2 stand-out has seriously expanded her acting CV in the past few years – logging roles in shows like Glee and The X-Files, as well as a role inLady Gaga’s musical blockbuster A Star Is Born.

According to The Wrap, Shangela’s character will be a ‘ruthless’ queen who know how to get what she wants. So…Shangela, then?

The storied performer is currently booked to appear in the sixth episode of the first season of the spin-off, but if her character proves to be a success, she could be back for more.

Lucy Hale will be starring in Riverdale spin-off Katy Keene

The new series will star Hale in the eponymous role, which is billed as a musical-comedy set in New York, a far cry from the melodramatic noir styling of its parent series.

A Riverdale main cast member is also making the jump over to the spin-off to aid in the transition. Ashleigh Murray – who plays singer Josie – will be arriving in the Big Apple to chase her dreams of stardom.

The show will also star Lucian Laviscount and Julia Chan.

Meanwhile, back in Riverdale land, series star Madeleine Petsch has claimed that the show’s current fourth season will take the teen drama ‘back to basics.’

Camila Mendes also recently made waves, dressing up as a ‘Sexy Rick’ (no, really) from Rick and Morty for Halloween.

The 25-year-old actress channeled her inner genius scientist and made it hella sexy in the process, throwing on a baby blue bobbed wig and a chic white blazer as a lab coat.

Camila completed her look with her very own portal gun, because how would she be able to travel between dimensions without it?

Riverdale season 4 airs every Thursday on Netflix in the UK. RuPaul’s Drag Race is also available to stream on Netflix.

Taylor Swift will bring her Christmas cheer to Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball this December as the popstar has joined the line-up.

It was announced on Thursday morning that the ME! singer will perform at London’s O2 Arena on Sunday 8 December, completing the star-studded line-up.

Capital had spent the past week teasing the final surprise act, and it’s safe to say that fans couldn’t be more thrilled with the news.

‘I AM CRYING ON THE TRAIN,’ one excited fan admitted, while another tweeted: ‘I got tickets, I’m seeing @taylorswift13 again, literally screamed my house down don’t know how I’m going to calm down before sixth form [sic].’

Fresh from buying their tickets to the pop event, another said: ‘IM SO EXCITED TO SEE MY BABY NEXT MONTH.’

It’s not the first time Taylor, 29, has performed at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball as she headlined the event in 2017.

Taylor returned to music this year with the release of her seventh studio album Lover, which of course peaked at number one around the world.

Joining Taylor on Sunday will be Sam Smith, Anne-Marie, Tom Walker, The Script, AJ Tracey, Mabel, Sigala, Sam Feldt and Joel Corry.

It was confirmed yesterday that Harry Styles and Stormzy are performing on Saturday 7 December, alongside Liam Payne, Aitch, Rita Ora, Jonas Blue, Jax Jones, Ava Max, Lauv, Young T & Bugsey and Regard.

Global founder Ashley Tabor-King OBE said of the anticipated show: ‘Some of the hottest stars on the planet will take to the stage at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball this Christmas and it promises to be a spectacular weekend of world class performances.

‘We’re putting the finishing touches to what will be an incredible show and we can’t wait to welcome Capital listeners and our star-studded line-up to join us at the UK’s biggest Christmas party next month.’

Tickets for Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball go on general sale tomorrow at 8am at capitalfm.com.

Caitlyn Jenner admits transitioning was harder than winning Olympics as everyone ‘hated her guts’

Caitlyn Jenner felt people ‘hated her guts’ when she came out as transgender back in 2015.

The 70-year-old was previously known as Bruce, and admitted it was harder to make the huge change than to win a gold medal at the 1976 Olympics, because she didn’t feel ‘accepted’ by those around her.

Speaking on BBC’s Don’t Tell Me the Score podcast, Kris Jenner’s ex said: ‘I trained 12 years for the games. I trained 65 years to transition in 2015. It was harder to do, it was less accepted.

‘Everyone loved the games, a lot of people when they see you transition hate your guts. Look at the quotes on Instagram.

‘By far that was a lot more difficult.’

While Caitlyn is happier since transitioning, she admitted it hasn’t been easy as she doesn’t always feel accepted by the trans community – who have previously asked her not to come to events because of ‘controversies’.

‘Has it been easy? Not even close. I’ve raised about $2.6million (£2.02m), given it away to trans organisations,’ she continued.

‘A lot of them are extraordinarily appreciative of it.

‘On the other hand, they’re having their big fundraiser and say, “Oh please don’t show up you’re too controversial.”’

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star split from ex-wife Kris in 2013, filing for divorce a year later.

They have had a rollercoaster relationship, with the momager left hurt by Caitlyn’s take on their marriage in her infamous Vanity Fair interview.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B4gAafMl-mw/

But she insisted that their relationship is back on great terms, adding: ‘Kris and I went our separate directions. It wasn’t for me to transition or anything to do with that. We changed apart.

‘There was no argument, no nothing, we did our divorce agreement in one day.

‘We both knew it was the right thing to do. I leased a house in Malibu to get out, and yeah we’re on good terms today.’

And she really is on good terms with the famous family, with Kourtney and Kim Kardashian joining Caitlyn for her recent 70th birthday celebrations.

However, this closeness might come to an end as the athlete is set to head on I’m A Celebrity later this year, ready to spill all the gossip.

Stranger Things season 4 episode one episode title is bad news for Eleven (Picture: Netflix)

Stranger Things writers celebrated Stranger Things Day by revealing the first title of season four episode one, and we’re already worried for Eleven.

Matt and Ross Duffer have set fans wild with a first-look at the Stranger Things 4 script, which so far appears to be inspired by Marvel’s X-Men. Sold already, TBH.

The season four premiere will be called…. Chapter One: The Hellfire Club.

‘Looking for new members… are you in?’ the brothers teased, with page number one.

What is The Hellfire Club?

The Hellfire Club were a group of villains in the X-Men comics of the 1980s, lead by vigilante Emma Frost – or The White Queen. All this came during the peak Dark Phoenix saga where Jean Grey famously transformed from being Professor X’s right hand partner in crime to The X-Men’s greatest foe.

And with fans speculating Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown) will turn evil this series, it seems the showrunners are only fuelling the fire.

When asked for teasers for the upcoming season, the writing team previously gave lyrics to Florence and The Machine song, Cosmic Love.

The track tells the story of someone coping with the loss of someone to darkness, and as a result, falling into the darkness themselves.

Will Eleven spiral after the loss of Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and be taken in by a dark side? Will he come back to save her?

We’ve compiled all the fan theories ahead of season four – and there’s a lot to get through.

Stranger Things 4 is expected to drop on Netflix in 2020.

T.I. is catching major heat for his admission that he takes his daughter to the gynaecologist every year to check that her hymen intact.

And while the rapper claimed that his daughter Deyjah was willing for her father to know if her hymen was intact (which means nothing, by the way), the 18-year-old’s Twitter likes tell a different story.

Deyjah has liked tweets about her father being ‘possessive and controlling’ following his comments on the Ladies Like Us podcast.

The college student – who T.I. shares with ex Ms Niko – showed her appreciation for a number of tweets replying to posts of T.I.’s quotes claiming he accompanies his daughter to the doctor each year to ensure she is still a virgin.

Deyjah liked three tweets – one reading: ‘That is just possessive’, another reading: ‘This is disgusting, possessive and controlling *whew*’, and the last which said: ‘”give me my results” first of all mf, those are HER results!! Like WTF.’

Deyjah, who began college this year, has yet to comment on the drama elsewhere, but her Instagram comments have been flooded with debates over her father.

T.I. – real name Clifford Harris – said on Ladies Like Us: ‘Deyjah’s 18, just graduated high school now and she’s attending her first year of college, figuring it out for herself. And yes, not only have we had the [sex] conversation, we have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen.’

The hosts Nazanin and Nadia cracked up laughing, saying: ‘I’m done with you right now.’

The rapper – who is also dad to Messiah, 19, and Domani, 18, with ex Lashon Dixon and Clifford (King), 15, Major, 11, and three-year-old Heiress with wife Tiny, as well as being stepdad to Tiny’s 23-year-old daughter Zonnique – went on to describe the visits to the gynaecologist.

The Angel of Death descends on Vikings as season 6 trailer introduces new character

The Angel of Death has arrived in Kattegat – and Vikings has never looked so fierce.

Lagertha needs to step aside because there’s a new gal in town, and we think we’re already in love.

As if bosses hadn’t teased enough already, they’ve sure gone and got fans excited with a brand new trailer that introduces the Valkyrie.

In Norse mythology, the supernatural being is described as a maiden who is sent by the God Odin to choose the warriors worthy of a place in Valhalla.

So she’s basically the Grim Reaper, and by the looks of things, she means business.

Introducing herself in a voiceover, she can be heard saying: ‘I go by many names, Valkyrie, Chooser of the Slave, the Angel of Death.

‘It’s destined by the Gods that we meet, for the chosen, the end is near.’

But who will she pick to go and join the late King Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) in the halls of Valhalla?

Fans were quick to comment, and threw out a string of theories surrounding the story arc of the newcomer.

‘Umm.. who invited her and Bjorn better not die. She can take Ivar,’ one said while another added: ‘I wonder if she’s there for Bjorn or Lagertha??’

Someone else wrote: ‘Is she replacing The Seer that was murdered by Ivar?’

Vikings
Lagertha and Torvi need to step aside (Picture: History)

The short clip then reveals our much-loved characters at war with one another, with Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø) tied up to a stake, while Torvi (Georgia Hirst) runs through the village.

Harald (Peter Franzén) and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) also feature alongside Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith), while a funeral plays out in a blink and you’ll miss it shot – honestly, things are about to get wild.

Earlier this month, fans of the historical saga took to the web full of concern for the safety of Ironside’s future.

Yes, it seems people are pretty convinced that the brave warrior won’t make it out of alive – so will Bjorn fall victim to the Valkyrie?

In a recent trailer, Lagertha has also been shown burying the Sword of Kings – which she once proudly gave to her son – and we can’t help but think that this is symbolic for his fall from grace.

Vikings season 6 returns to the History Channel and Amazon Prime on 4 December.

James Dean is making a return to the big screen in a Vietnam War movie with the power of CGI – but fans are not happy with this decision.

The iconic actor was well known for the classic 50s films Rebel Without A Cause and East Of Eden, before he was killed in a car accident at the age of 24 in 1955.

And although he has been dead for well over 60 years, he has been unexpectedly cast in the upcoming Vietnam war action-drama movie Finding Jack.

The film, which is based on the Gareth Rocker novel of the same name, is set to be live action, while James will be constructed via ‘full body’ CGI, while using actual footage of him, according to The Hollywood Reporter. James is set to take on the role of a secondary lead role called Rogan, with another actor planned to voice him.

Anton Ernst and Tati Golykh are set to direct the upcoming motion picture, with it being produced by their own recently launched production house Magic City Films, who have obtained the rights to use the late actor’s image from his family. Production is set to start on 17 November, while the production team are aiming for a release in time for Veterans Day 2020.

‘We have searched high and low for the perfect character to portray the role of Rogan, which has some extreme complex character arcs, and after months of research, we decided on James Dean,’ Anton said in a statement.

He added that they are ‘very honoured’ that James’ family has given their blessing to the actor being posthumously cast in the film, while they aim to keep his legacy ‘firmly intact’.

Despite this, a lot of fans have been left unhappy with the decision to cast the late Hollywood icon.

‘That… that should not be allowed unless the dead person gave their consent while they were alive,’ one fan said on Twitter.

Another added: ‘I expect the response to this to be so negative it won’t even be made.’

‘Don’t do it. Leave our legends to shine as they did and create new ones with living actors,’ another chipped in.

‘There are a lot of great people who are alive with talent to share.’

While another simply stated: ‘Let the man rest in peace.’

Avengers star Chris Evans also voiced his disapproval, tweeting: ‘I’m sure he’d be thrilled

‘This is awful. Maybe we can get a computer to paint us a new Picasso. Or write a couple new John Lennon tunes. The complete lack of understanding here is shameful.’

However, the filmmakers hope the success of this project will inspire other well-known late figures to be brought back to life on screen.

Mark Roseler, CEO of CMG Worldwide, which represents James’ family, said: ‘This opens up a whole new opportunity for many of our clients who are no longer with us.’

Finding Jack will be released in 2020.

New Scream movie ‘on the way’ and we need Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox to get on-board

Horror fans are rejoicing at the news that a new Scream movie is reportedly in development, and are calling for original stars Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox to return.

According to horror news website Bloody Disgusting, Spyglass Media Group are currently working on a new franchise based on the original movies created by the legendary Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson.

However with Wes’ death in 2015, it’s not yet known if the next Scream installment will directly follow on from 2011’s Scream 4, a remake or focus on a new set of characters being terrorised by a mystery Ghostface.

Williamson wrote all four Scream movies but it’s reported that he will not be involved in the next project.

Fans of the iconic horror franchise seem to be excited by the news of its return, but most are only interested if the original stars, including Neve and Courteney, sign up.

‘KEEP IT if it isn’t the original cast! Scream isn’t Scream without Neve, Courteney, and David!!!!!!!’ one fan stated.

‘#Scream is definitely coming back to the theaters! I hope it’ll be a continuation from the first four movies. Like how the Halloween movie did it last year. After the evens of the 1978 movie. I hope to see Neve back!! [sic]’ one suggested.

However, not everyone is convinced a continuation or remake would work with Wes and Kevin not involved.

‘NO NO NO. Scream won’t be Scream without Wes Craven, Kevin Williamson, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox or David Arquette. Wes has passed away, Williamson isn’t writing this and I highly, highly doubt the actors will be involved. The TV show failed. Move on & leave this series alone,’ a particularly passionate fan tweeted.

Another agreed: ‘I’m so conflicted… Scream is one of my all time favorite films, and I love the series as a whole. Neve Campbell herself said returning to the franchise after Wes Craven’s death wouldn’t be right. I’m not sure how I feel about Scream without Craven, especially if it’s a new cast.’

It’s been eight years since Ghostface was last seen on the big screen with Scream 4, which starred Emma Roberts alongside all the familiar faces of the original cast.

However, the Scream franchise was also given a revival for the small screen with MTV hosting two seasons of a series reboot, and VH1 bringing it back for a fourth one with a whole new cast.

While the first two seasons were warmly received by fans, the third season has been panned.

Neve, 46, admitted it would be difficult to return to Scream without Wes, who was the ‘heart’ of the franchise.

In a 2018 interview, the actress explained: ‘Well you know, I think it would be challenging because Wes Craven passed away and he was the reason those movies were so good.

‘I mean obviously Kevin Williamson wrote brilliant scripts but you know Wes was the heart of the thing and he was what kept the dynamic consistent. I think it would be difficult to work with another director. But you never know, you never know.’

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will be paying homage to The Great British Bake Off in a new episode – yes, seriously

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will pay tribute to The Great British Bake Off in a new episode. Yes, you read that correctly.

The superhero show – which returns in 2020 – has revealed some of the titles for its new episodes, and many of them are some kind of pun on a popular culture reference.

And one episode in particular, The Great British Fake Off, takes its inspiration from Channel 4’s iconic baking show.

Will the episode see Rip Hunter accidentally enter a baking competition whilst trying to save the world? Who knows at this point.

How much do you think it would cost the show to hire Mary Berry for a guest role in the episode?

We also have the great self-referencing episode Romeo V Juliet: Dawn of Justness to look forward to.

Legends of Tomorrow is already deep into production of its fifth season, which will start airing in January 2020.

The first episode of the new run will also coincide with the massive Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover which is coming to all of the shows in DC’s Arrowverse – Legends, Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash and Arrow itself.

The inter-linked, multi-universe Arrowverse previously brought back Brandon Routh as Superman some 12 years on from his first and only cinematic outing, so the prospect of a Great British Bake Off-style episode suddenly doesn’t seem outside the realm of possibility.

Batwoman, the newest show on the Arrowverse block, has also recently made waves as it airs in inaugural season. Fans are already clamouring to celebrate star Ruby Rose’s on-screen sex scene with her female love interest.

The scene is being praised by viewers for normalising a lesbian sexual interaction, and for well, being hot.

‘Good freaking lord ladies in bed together my wig is flying off,’ one viewer wrote.

‘Wow, #Batwoman showed two lesbians kissing in bed and they don’t have all their clothes on. It’s almost like lesbians have real sex, too,’ another added.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs on The CW in the US and will return in January 2020, with a UK airdate unknown. Arrow is available to stream via Amazon Prime.
