Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to feature in a brand new documentary that promises to expose a number of royal secrets.

After the pair stepped down from their royal duties, it seems the series, titled Inside the Crown: Secrets of the Royals, couldn’t be more timely for fans of the monarchy.

And while we watch the recent bombshell unfold on the news, the first episode Love and Duty will provide us with an inside look at royal relations.

Historians, eyewitnesses, and royal insiders will offer expert knowledge on the couple’s marriage, who tied the knot back in May 2018.

And as they focus on the fairy-tale romance, they’ll also be asking the question: ‘Will the couple be able to balance the pressures of love versus duty?’

Acknowledging it’s a ‘hard road to walk’, the first episode will reflect on previous marriages within the monarchy such as Edward VIII, who gave up the crown in order to be with the divorcee Wallis Simpson.

Queen Elizabeth II’s marriage to the Duke of Edinburgh will also be put under the microscope after they rebuilt the image of the Windsors following Edward’s scandal.

But as they appear to be going strong 72 years after they wed, the four-part docu-series will not shy away from Charles’ ‘destructive’ marriage to Diana, as well as the Queen’s sister, Margaret, and her decision to romance Peter Townsend.

It will be interesting to see whether or not the programme has been updated following Meghan and Harry’s move to Canada.

The Queen was said to have been ‘hurt’ by the decision with Buckingham Palace later saying that talks about the couple’s future were still ‘at an early stage’.

After a historic emergency summit at Sandringham, her Majesty issued a rare personal statement saying she respected the Sussexes’ wish to live a ‘more independent’ life.

She gave her permission for them to spend time in Canada, as well as the UK, while ‘complex’ matters about the details of their future are resolved.

The biggest concerns yet to be ironed out are the couple’s desire to become financially independent and earn their own living while still being expected to carry out royal duties.

Issues of security for Harry, Meghan and their newborn son Archie are also being discussed by both the British and Canadian governments.

Inside The Crown: Secrets Of The Royals airs Thursday at 9pm on ITV.

Martha Stewart wouldn’t buy Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina candle, but knows ‘horny guys’ would

Martha Stewart blames ‘horny guys’ as the reason that Gwyenth Paltrow’s now-infamous vagina-scented candle has sold out.

The iconic TV chef appeared on Andy Cohan’s Watch What Happens Live when she was asked by the host whether she would purchase the newest piece of Gwynnie’s Goop merchandise.

The candle in question famously carries the scent of the Shakespeare in Love star’s vagina. The odd product went viral after it was listed for $75 (£57) on Goop, with many people seeing the candle as peak Goop thanks to the lifestyle website’s tendency to host out-there products (like those infamous jade eggs to put in your vagina, that you totally shouldn’t use by the way).

‘I wouldn’t buy that candle,’ Martha told Andy. ‘Not necessarily.’

The presenter asked the 78-year-old what the candle selling out ‘says about America’ and let’s just say, we think Martha’s cracked the code on the specfic demographic for genitalia-scented candles.

‘I think it’s not America,’ she theorised. ‘I think it’s guys who are horny.’

Well, that’s one way to put it!

The product in question has seen its own storm of publicity following its launch, but the Marvel star behind it says it’s all ‘good controversy.’

The 47-year-old spoke at the National Retail Federation on Tuesday, where she blamed sexism for the controversy against Goop, saying she ‘rubbed people the wrong way’.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming star – yes, Gwyneth, you were in that movie – said: ‘If you are in the news and it’s driving traffic to your site, it’s not a bad thing.’

The controversy has obviously worked, as the ‘This Smells Like My Vagina’ candle is currently out of stock on Goop.

A description on the site read: ‘This candle started as a joke between perfumer Douglas Little and GP—the two were working on a fragrance, and she blurted out, “Uhhh..this smells like a vagina”—but evolved into a funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent. (That turned out to be perfect as a candle—we did a test run at an In goop Health, and it sold out within hours.)

‘It’s a blend of geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed that puts us in mind of fantasy, seduction, and a sophisticated warmth.’

Little Women director Greta Gerwig swaps breast milk with best friend and that’s definitely one way to bond

Little Women director Greta Gerwig has revealed she and her best pal swap breast milk.

And you thought you were close with your best friend.

The star, who shares her 10-month-old son Harold with her partner Noah Baumbach, explained that she and her friend, who is also breastfeeding her child, switch up the milk to build up their kids’ immune systems.

‘We should all be breast feeding each other’s children, because actually it builds up the immune system,’ she advised.

The more you know!

The star’s not afraid to get real about mum life, admitting to Elle magazine that she thought she’d be able to keep elements of her life before she had kids – but it wasn’t to be.

‘After my friends threw me a baby shower I got given nursing bras and, while putting stuff away afterwards, I remember thinking, I’ll keep my regular bras out as well because I’ll use those sometimes, too. Like when? When is the time if they’re eating every hour and a half?’ she explained.

‘You have to believe that, alongside your new life, your older life is going to continue – and then you realise with stunning clarity that that’s not true.

‘I think you have to not know that, to be able to do it.’

Meanwhile, after the director impressed audiences with her adaptation of Little Women, fans and fellow actors have been left confused at why she was snubbed for a best director Academy Award nomination.

Nevertheless, she’s not holding any grudges, taking to her pal Emma Watson’s Instagram to thank the Academy for the Oscar nods Little Women received overall.

‘I am brimming with happiness—thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you (that’s six!) to the Academy,’ Greta wrote.

‘This film of Little Women has been over thirty years in the making, from the very first time Louisa May Alcott and Jo March reached across time and space and made me believe I could be a writer and creator.’

WWE SmackDown results and recap: Roman Reigns chooses Royal Rumble stipulation for King Corbin match

Robert Roode sends Roman Reigns throw the barricade
Roode and Reigns brawl on SmackDown (Credit: WWE)

We’re just over a week away from the Royal Rumble as the card begins to take shape – and Roman Reigns looks to be on a collision course to end his feud with King Corbin once and for all.

Their issues were a big part of SmackDown this week, with The Usos and The Revival facing off in a great match earlier in the evening with the former team picking up a huge win.

It was a short match, but so energetic and exactly what it needed to be without these four men getting the opportunity to go all out on a bigger show.

Even more interesting, though, was Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder frustrated after the loss as they realised they needed to make a change with WWE not caring about them OR tag team wrestling.

For the main event, we got Reigns taking on Robert Roode in a tables match, with the winner getting to choose the stipulation for Roman’s clash with Corbin next weekend.

These two had a good brawl, making full use of the stipulation with King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler getting involved just as expected, with the Usos making the obligatory save as Reigns then his the spear on Roode, sending him through the table and earning himself a win with some momentum.

After the match, we found out Roman vs. Corbin will be a Falls Count Anywhere match. For every criticism that comes to either of these men, it’s clear each and every week that the live crowds are behind this story – they were red hot for the closing stretch and the finish itself.

Throw in the fact that both of them are great performers with clearly defined characters and a proper issue with each other, and there’s not a lot to be pessimistic about for their blow-off match.

Hopefully, they’ll make full use of the stipulation at the Royal Rumble, and put an end to this saga so both men can move on as WrestleMania season gets underway.

Best of the rest

This week’s SmackDown seemed back on track, with some really solid focus for the Royal Rumble, kick starting the show with Kane coming out to big up next weekend’s event.

He was interrupted by Bray Wyatt in the Firefly Funhouse, who unplugged Ramblin’ Rabbit’s life support (what a MONSTER) and played up their past. He appeared from under the ring to take out the Big Red Machine, but Daniel Bryan made a surprise save with the running knee as The Fiend escaped while Bryan pulled out some of his hair for a nice bit of revenge.

He then talked about Bray trying to run, and challenged him to a strap match at the Royal Rumble to make sure there’s nowhere to hide.

Elsewhere on the broadcast, John Morrison made his in-ring return in a fun match with Big E, overcoming the challenge and perfectly setting up a tag team title shot for Morrison and The Miz after back-to-back singles wins over the New Day.

Lacey Evans also overcame Bayley in non-title action to set up a future title match, and continued her amazing rise in recent weeks as she’s fully established herself in the eyes of the fans as a likeable star.

The rest of the show was all focused on the Rumble, with Shorty G and Sheamus set to clash, Braun Strowman confirming himself for the 30-man match but still staking his claim for the Intercontinental championship.

With just one more broadcast for each brand before the Royal Rumble, it’s going to make for some exciting television as we get closer and closer to the start of the Road to WrestleMania.

Quickfire results

  • John Morrison pinned Big E with the Starship Pain in over 8 minutes.
  • The Usos bested the Revival in a great 5 minute sprint.
  • Lacey Evans beat women’s champion Bayley in 11 minutes.
  • Alex Bliss defeated Sonya Deville in less than 2 minutes.
  • Roman Reigns beat Robert Roode in 11 minutes in a tables match.

Former Love Island host Caroline Flack is planning to ‘make a comeback’ after she was charged with assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Laura Whitmore has temporarily replaced the presenter, who stepped down last month following her assault charge, as host of the winter edition of the ITV2 dating show which is set in Cape Town, South Africa.

It has been reported that the ITV host is planning to ‘reinvent herself’ by ditching her party-girl lifestyle, following the assault charges which Flack has denied.

‘Caroline has been avoiding the usual celeb haunts. She’s been going on long hikes, reading, doing yoga and taking care of herself with spa treatments, healthy food and lots of sleep,’ a source began.

‘She is more keen than ever to get out of the city and escape the stress of it all,’ they continued to Closer Magazine.

The source added that once she and Lewis can legally reunite they plan ‘to swap parties and boozing for dog walking and quiet nights in front of the TV’.

It follows after former Love Islander Amy Hart revealed she has been in touch with Caroline through Instagram Direct Message.

‘I’ve sent Caroline messages, we speak so…,’ she commented.

Chatting to Daily Star Online at the European premiere of Cirque du Soleil’ LUZIA she continued: ‘Yeah, on Instagram.’

When quizzed about Laura replacing Caroline, Amy added:  ‘Both of them are amazing so whatever happens the show will always be in good hands.’

After Caroline stepped down from hosting duties she wrote in a statement:  ‘Love Island has been my world for the last five years, it’s the best show on telly.

‘In order to not detract attention from the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is to stand down for series 6. I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town.’

Caroline Flack’s rep has been contacted for a comment.

Love Island airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV2.

Love Island twins Eve and Jess Gale reportedly had a secret conversation ‘to plot their next move’ before being torn apart in one of the most brutal dumpings we have ever seen.

Eve became the first contestant to be ditched from the island after being left without a partner in the recoupling.

However, they technically aren’t the first person to leave the show, after Ollie Williams walked out just three days into the show.

And it has since been reported that the pair had a chat before the recoupling to plan what they were going to do next – although TV bosses chose not to air the conversation.

In the private chat, the duo agreed if one of them got dumped from the villa the other would stay and continue their journey.

Uni student Eve told the Daily Star: ‘It’s heartbreaking to leave her in there. Jess and I are rarely apart. We live together and work together.

‘We do so much together so when we are apart or can’t contact each other it feels weird.’

The original couples had already been given a shake-up from the very first day after twins Eve and Jess Gale were brought in to steal two men from their original partners, choosing Callum Jones and Mike Boateng.

This left Shaughna Phillips and Leanne Amaning single, though their boys did choose to leave the twins for their original partners ahead of the recoupling.

Paige Turley was also left single after Ollie walked out of the villa, stating that he was ‘still in love’ with his ex on the outside.

However, despite their close connection, the recoupling meant the twins were separated as Eve was sent home while Jess remained in the villa paired up with Nas.

In the recoupling, Finley Tapp chose Paige Turley to couple up with, Connagh Howard picked Sophie Piper and Mike Boateng chose Leanne Amaning.

Callum Jones picked Shaughna Phillips to pair up with, Connor Durman chose Siannise Fudge and Nas Majeed went for Jess Gale.

ITV have been approached for a comment.

Love Island continues nightly on ITV2 from 9pm.

It’s been on the air less than a week, but Love Island has already dumped its first contestant following the first recoupling of the series.

The show’s already bid farewell to one of its number after Ollie Williams made the decision to quit the villa earlier this week – but another person lost their place in the villa as the remaining Islanders – including newcomers Connagh and Finley – chose their new partners on Friday night.

And there were emotional scenes as the remaining single girl packed up her things and left – but just who was dumped, and who is now coupled up with whom?

Here’s what happened on Friday night…

Who left Love Island last night in the first dumping of the series?

The first dumping of the series saw twins Eve and Jess Gale separated after Eve was left single at the end of the first recoupling, and subsequently dumped from the villa.

Both Eve and Jess were left after all the other couples had paired up – leaving Nas Majeed the tricky task of having to choose between them – calling it ‘a very difficult decision’.

Ultimately however he chose to couple up with Jess after saying he ‘had spent slightly more time wit her and got to know her a bit better’ – with the sisters left in tears as Eve urged Jess to stay on in the villa.

‘I wouldn’t let you walk away with me, you’ve got to try…you can’t let me hold you back,’ she told her in emotional scenes – with Jess later fighting back tears as she said in the Beach Hut: ‘My experience in here is going to be so different without her, I’m going to be thinking about her the whole time.’

Even Nas was thrown by the whole thing as he added: ‘I’m normally very cool, calm and collected but that really had me on the ropes today.’

Who are the new Love Island couples?

It was all change for many of the couples, with Sophie and Paige among those with new partners (Picture: ITV)

Here’s who is together after the first recouping…

  • Finley Tapp and Paige Turley
  • Connagh Howard and Sophie Piper
  • Mike Boateng and Leanne Amaning
  • Callum Jones and Shaughna Phillips
  • Connor Durman and Siannise Fudge
  • Nas Majeed and Jess Gale

The Wiggles star Greg Page is recovering in hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest at a Sydney bushfire relief concert.

The singer, who was one of the founding members and known to fans as the Yellow Wiggle, fell in front of the audience when he was walking off stage at the end of the hour and a half performance.

Thankfully, Greg looked to be in high spirits in a snap posted to the band’s official Twitter page. Sat in his hospital bed, the 48-year-old gave the camera a grin and a thumbs up.

‘We’ve visited Greg this morning & he wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes,’ the post read. ‘He’s so grateful for the messages of love & support from around the world.

‘Greg’s main concern was that the show tonight should go on.⁣ Let’s do it for Greg whilst raising much needed funds.’

Following the incident, members of the band performed CPR on him and an off-duty nurse used a defibrillator in attempts to resuscitate him, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

The performance was in aid of the Australian Red Cross and the New South Wales Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service.

Fans were left concerned when the band tweeted: ‘Update: At the end of the show this evening there was a medical incident off stage involving Greg Page.

‘Medics were called immediately and he was taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment. We will provide more information as it comes to hand.’

They later added that he was recovering, with the photo of the star being a welcome sight for fans hours later.

‘Ive long outgrown the show but I’m glad hes doing alright. Especially knowing how it all went down,’ one fan responded.

Another added: ‘Love you Greg! So so proud of you for putting your absolute everything into last night,’ with one more saying: ‘Get well Greg. Thanks to my daughter I’ve seen every Wiggles show 17,000 times. But still love you guys!’

Greg is a founding and long-time member of the band, featuring in the group from 1991 to 2006 and 2012 to 2013.

Sex Education’s intimacy co-ordinator explains BTS secrets to ‘realistic’ sex scenes

Sex Education doesn’t shy away from raunchy scenes seeing Otis and the gang get steamy between the sheets.

But while both teenage angst and dreams are at the heart of the binge-worthy series, we can’t help but feel some of the more seductive scenarios might get awkward on set.

Talking about the secrets behind those ‘realistic’ sex scenes, intimacy co-ordinator (yes, that’s a thing) Ita O’Brien has opened up on how they keep the cast as comfortable as possible.

When chatting with News.com.au, she said: ‘We want to know your “no”. We want to know what’s not suitable for you as a person, and we can work creatively with an actor with your agreement and consent and help the production.

‘When we work from a clear “yes” from the actors, it’ll be a way better sex scene because the actor can be free, they can be open, which you can see from the scenes in Sex Education.’

Sex Education
She aims for the cast to feel as comfortable as they can be (Picture: Netflix)

And how they keep those parts of the Netflix hit believable?

Ita explained: ‘We have an understanding of physicality, body movements and anatomy, and of an actor’s process and how they can serve the script.

‘And then once you get in front of the camera, your actors can be free because they know they can trust where they’re going to be touched and where they’re touching their fellow actor.

‘If the choreography isn’t there, the audience will say (it) doesn’t look real.’

Aimee Lou Wood, who plays Aimee Gibbs in the series, recently revealed that her co-stars all find it ‘really fun’ filming the show’s – often cringeworthy – sex scenes as their moves are planned in advance.

Speaking ahead of the launch of season two, she told Metro.co.uk: ‘It’s actually really fun and I find it really helpful, those sex scenes, because you’re spending a lot of time with your character.

‘You could have full days of doing those kinds of scenes, just you and the director and one other person, so it’s probably the most time that I have personally to really sit with Aimee and be with the character and get to really know who she was.’

She added that seeing how a person behaves in the bedroom helps you get to know them better.

The star explained: ‘It helped me inform the rest of my characterisation and the other scenes so much, doing those sex scenes, because it says so much about person, how they have sex.’

Sex Education seasons one and two are available to stream on Netflix.

**Warning: This article contains spoilers for Vikings season six.**

Vikings’ Katheryn Winnick is getting fans hyped about her directorial debut following Lagertha’s death.

The 42-year-old who played the former queen in the historical saga left the series after the infamous shieldmaiden was put to rest.

However, it seems the showrunner Michael Hirst couldn’t get rid of the star that easy, as she is set to make her return in next week’s installment.

But this time, she will be behind the lens.

That’s right, the actress has left her stamp all over the episode Valhalla Can Wait, where it looks as though she’ll be getting her revenge on Marco Ilsø, who plays Hvitserk.

Another snap showed the star holding onto a clapperboard in front of Ragga Ragnars who was all done up as Gunnhild.

‘Directing the new Queen, Gunnhild played by Iceland’s one and only @raggaragnars,’ Katheryn said: ‘Strength and beauty.. she’s a force!’

‘You’ll never be gone from Vikings,’ one insisted while another said: ‘Nice that you’re still around.’

Someone else added: ‘Amazing portrait you gave Lagertha over the years! Good luck directing now and last episode was heartbreakingly good.’

Suki Waterhouse has sparked engagement rumours by sporting a ring on her wedding finger during a date with beau Robert Pattinson.

The model looked smitten as she and the Batman star enjoyed cocktails together at a Dior dinner party in Paris.

The 28-year-old looked stunning as she chatted away to her beau, donning a white jumper and mesh skirt for the bash in the French capital.

Robert, 33, went for a casual look as he donned an all-black outfit, with a leather jacket and backwards baseball cap.

The pair are rumoured to have got engaged over Christmas, with the Twilight star spending the holiday with Suki’s family.

The sweet couple were first linked when they were spotted kissing in Notting Hill in August 2018, although it’s believed they had been dating for a couple of months beforehand.

Although they have kept their relationship private, the pair were seen looking loved up last year when it was confirmed Robert would be taking on the role of Batman.

They were snapped holding hands as they wandered along in Los Angeles before stopping for a coffee.

Meanwhile, Robert appears to be thriving, recently appearing alongside Timothee Chalamet in Netflix’s The King, and starring as billionaire Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves’ eagerly-anticipated movie.

And the movie is shaping up to have an incredible cast, with Zoe Kravitz taking on the role of Catwoman.

Colin Farrell has been confirmed as villain Penguin, while the director also revealed Andy Serkis as butler Alfred, with the role previously being played by Sir Michael Caine in the Christopher Nolan directed Dark Knight trilogy

Peter Sarsgaard is rumoured to be playing the role of Harvey Dent after he was added to the production, with Aaron Eckhart, who played the villain in Nolan’s 2008 flick The Dark Knight, looking forward to how the character will be portrayed.

Former Dancing on Ice judge Jason Gardiner has thrown shade at Holly Willougby’s appearance at one of his stand-up shows.

During the event on Thursday, the former judge sang a song about the ITV show, and referred to Holly as ‘Holly Wollobooby’.

He also slammed Dancing on Ice for trying to be like Strictly Come Dancing.

‘Hosted by Phillip and Holly Willobooby whose massive t**s aren’t hard to see,’ he sang.

‘Be honest, there is not much of anything else to say.’

‘It’s like Strictly, but on ice. It tried to be Come Dancing. You get bruises from hell and that f***ing headbanging. It’s Dancing on Ice. What do I do instead, watch Call the Midwife. And now I’m free,‘ reports The Sun.

It follows after the former judge slammed Holly and Phillip Schofield for being ‘fake’ after they apparently failed to reach out to him following his departure from the show.

Even though, as Jason claimed, he sent Phillip a message following the fracas surrounding alleged complaints by fellow ITV stars towards the presenter.

Expecting a message from the hosts he’d worked with since 2005, Jason told The Sun: ‘Since it was announced I was leaving the show I’ve had nothing from Phil and Holly. Not even a text message.

‘It is hurtful, especially because when Phillip was getting a lot of negative attention recently I sent him a message of support.

‘I thought they would get in touch but I’ve learned this industry is full of fake and disingenuous people.’

It wasn’t his only thought on Phillip – who was mired in controversy after it was alleged last year a number of ITV presenters spoke about the alleged ‘toxic’ atmosphere at This Morning, with a reported spat with his co-host Holly thrown in as well.

However ITV as well, as Holly and Phil, have all denied there is an issue.

Holly even went so far as to suggest she’d quit This Morning if Phillip was to ever leave, saying on Celebrity Juice of her ‘TV husband’: ‘We said right from the beginning that if either of us didn’t do it, we wouldn’t want to do it.

‘I can’t imagine This Morning without Phil.’

Metro.co.uk contacted reps of Holly and Phillip for comment.

Why will Hank Azaria no longer voice Apu in The Simpsons and will the character still be in the show?

Actor Hank Azaria, who voices the character of Kwik-E-Mart convenience-store owner Apu Nahasapeemapetilon in The Simpsons, has revealed that he will be stepping away from the role after two decades.

The 55-year-old American star, who has been part of The Simpsons cast since the character of Apu was created in 1990, spoke to website Slashfilm to confirm his decision to no longer voice the character.

Azaria also provides the voice for Simpsons’ characters Moe Szyslak and Chief Wiggum, among others and so will not be leaving the show entirely, he will just no longer voice Apu.

Why did Hank Azaria decide now to no longer voice Apu in The Simpsons?

Talking to website Slashfilm about his reasons for stepping away from voicing Apu after 20 years, Azaria said that the decision was a joint one made between him and the show’s creators: ‘We all made the decision together… We all agreed on it. We all feel like it’s the right thing and good about it.’

Azaria’s decision to no longer voice Apu comes after years of controversy about the character.

The character has been accused of reinforcing racial stereotypes and Indian-American comic Hari Kondabolu drew further attention to the issues surrounding the character in a documentary called The Problem With Apu.

Created in 2017 by Kondabolu, the documentary talks about the representations of South Asians on US television and explains that part of what makes the character of Apu problematic is that he is defined by his job, arranged marriage and the size of his family.

Kondabolu also shares his personal experiences in the programme, explaining that growing up children would use impressions of Apu from The Simpsons to taunt him.

After the documentary aired, Azaria responded in December 2017 saying: ‘It’s really upsetting that [his character, Apu] was offensive or hurtful to anybody.’

Taking to Twitter after the news that Azaria had confirmed he will not do the voice for Apu anymore, Kondabolu said: ‘If @HankAzaria is indeed no longer doing the voice of Apu, I do hope they keep the character & let a very talented writing staff do something interesting with him.

‘If not to better the show, then to at least spare me some death threats.’

‘My documentary “The Problem with Apu” was not made to get rid of a dated cartoon character, but to discuss race, representation & my community (which I love very much). It was also about how you can love something (like the Simpsons) & still be critical about aspects of it (Apu).’

He added: ‘Most people who saw the documentary like it & those that didn’t see it…hate it. You can see it on Amazon, truTV app & other places. Feel free to watch it by legal or illegal means. I don’t get paid more either way & it’s the message of the film that has the most value to me.’

Will another actor voice Apu?

With Azaria stepping away from the role, the future of his character Apu is unclear.

The actor admitted that when it comes to what the future holds for Apu, show bosses and creators of The Simpsons ‘haven’t sorted it out yet’.

Hari Kondabolu has said ‘I do hope they keep the character’ but Hank Azaria has admitted that show bosses ‘haven’t sorted out’ what they will do about Apu’s character in the future. (Picture: The Simpsons/SKY TV)

‘What they’re going to do with the character is their call,’ Azaria said. ‘It’s up to them and they haven’t sorted it out yet. All we’ve agreed on is I won’t do the voice anymore.’

The Masked Singer UK: Jonathan Ross may have let slip celebrities identity: ‘Rita is the best detective’

Was he meant to tell us that? (Picture: ITV)

The Masked Singer judge Jonathan Ross has revealed that Rita Ora’s guesses have been spot on during the show – so does that me we know who the celebs are now?

The comedian let slip that the pop singer is actually the ‘best detective’ on the judging panel.

In an interview with Lorraine Kelly Jonathan exclaimed: ‘I think it’s such a great show to watch with your family.’

When asked about the celebrities behind the masks he added: ‘We have no idea – they’ve kept the secrecy, it’s been so tight.

‘So far, although it pains me to admits the best detective on the team so far, is young Rita Ora.’

Speaking ahead of the new talent show Davina McCall confirmed Jonathan’s admission as she exclaimed:  ‘Rita did very well. She got quite a few right.’

So basically now we have to rewatch all of the shows so far to listen to Rita’s guesses….

The talent show’s presenter Joel Dommett has also revealed that one celebrity who has denied being on the show, actually is behind one of the masks….(well as if they are going to admit it Joel).

So far the guesses that have been thrown out are Nicola Roberts as Queen Bee and John Barrowman as Unicorn.

But now the former Extra Camp presenter confirmed that he knows that some of the celebrities performing have given fans a false impression by denying that they’re on the show.

‘Last Saturday, I saw someone who is on the show saying it wasn’t them. Which is interesting,’ he began.

‘The final episode is going to be a mad one. There are three reveals and nobody is getting near to guessing them. It’s going to be epic.’

He continued to The Sun:  ‘The secrecy behind it is insane. None of the crew know, only a handful of producers — maybe five or six. Until the reveal happens, I’m still guessing myself.’

It follows after Jason Manford shut down claims that he was Hedgehog, but now thinking about it, is he just saying that?

The Hedgehog
Could it be Alfie Boe? (Picture: ITV)

The comedian revealed on Good Morning Britain that his new show had actually been moved to make way for the ITV talent show.

‘Have you moved the time because you’re defeating yourself?’ Kate Garraway asked him.

‘I don’t want to spoil the show by saying no but – no,’ he laughed.

‘My own kids asked me as well.’

The Masked Singer viewers were convinced that Jason was Hedgehog, so now it looks like they’ll have to go back to the drawing board.

Other guesses for Hedgehog included Michael Ball or Alfie Boe.

The Masked Singer airs on Saturday at 7pm on ITV.

Love Island fans fume as Mike and Leanne’s romantic scene gets cut short: ‘How can they crop this?’

Love Island fans were left fuming after they spotted a romantic moment play out between Mike Boateng and Leanne Amaning only for it to be cut short.

While tensions were running high with the recoupling looming over the islanders, the policeman appeared to have a sweet interaction with his gal.

After gathering around the fire pit, the 24-year-old stood up from his seat and went to scoop the customer service advisor up off her feet.

However, just before she was whisked up by the former footballer, the scene was cut short – and viewers were not happy.

Taking to Twitter, fans were outraged and started to accuse the show’s bosses of deliberately chopping out Mike and Leanne’s story.

‘Nah ITV are really not tryna give Mike and Leanne air time because how can they crop this?’ one quizzed as another wrote: ‘That full-on had a storyline. He literally whisked her off her feet wtf. #LoveIsIand @LoveIsland what is the meaning of this!? Where is the rest???’

Someone else shared the same sentiment and quipped: ‘Honestly the unseen bits better include a whole lot of Mike and Leanne content. they’ve robbed us for two episodes.’

And it seems others through the same: ‘Mike was about to lift Leanne and they cut out the seen. Wtf. They won’t show Mike being all cute with Leanne but as soon as he starts moving mad, they’ll show it asap.

‘Those producers are enemies of progress #LoveIsland.’

Mike was the only boy that Leanne stepped forward for when the islanders coupled up in the first episode.

And it seems their relationship has been going from strength to strength since then, as he refused to sleep in the same bed as Jess Gale when the twin stole him in a savage recoupling.

He’s already admitted he has feelings for his fellow islander, and despite trying to make things work with Jess, went onto confess that his head could not be turned.

He even revealed Leanne gives him ‘butterflies’, and our hearts just can’t cope!

But while they’re happily falling in love, Eve Gale is still on her search after being booted out of the villa in Friday night’s episode.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Love Island reps for further comment while the show continues on ITV2 at 9pm.

Tom Felton wants to play the next James Bond – and who could say no to Draco Malfoy?

Harry Potter star Tom Felton is eyeing up a major career change as she plots to swap spells for spies and become the next James Bond.

Since the Wizarding World series ended its theatrical run in 2012, Tom has branched out, scoring roles in Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Flash TV series.

But he has another franchise in his sights – and with Daniel Craig hanging up his Aston Martin after the release of No Time To Die, now’s the best time to throw your hat in the ring to become the next Bond.

‘James Bond would be the ultimate dream,’ the star told Closer magazine. ‘The first film I had, when I was seven years old was James Bond. That’s all I had on my mind.’

Well Tom, a vacancy has just opened up! Get your CV in! We’ll promise to put in a good word for you, maybe a reference if you’re lucky.

Of course, playing platinum blonde bad boy Draco Malfoy does mean that, to an entire generation, Tom has basically been typecast as a baddie, but he insists that this isn’t the case.

‘I like playing the goodie, but I don’t really look to play a good guy or a bad guy,’ he continued.. ‘I like playing people who are different to me – the further away they are from home, the more fun it is to play.’

Daniel Craig James Bond
To be fair, there is a vacancy (Picture: Sony)

There’s been a lot of hats thrown into the ring for the role of 007, so Tom has some competition in the form of (possibly) Bodyguard star Richard Madden and Happy Valley star James Norton (although we feel like as soon as someone mentions about wanting to be Bond, their chances of getting the role are slashed to less than zero, soz).

However, series producer Barbra Broccoli has insisted that she still doesn’t know who will be replacing Craig in the role just yet.

‘I’m in total denial. I’ve accepted what Daniel has said, but I’m still in denial. It’s too traumatic for me.’

While there have been calls for a female Bond or an actor who isn’t white to take on the role, producers have spoken out about what they are looking for while casting.

Barbra added: ‘I believe we should be creating new characters for women – strong female characters.

‘I’m not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play it. I think women are far more interesting than that.’

No Time To Die comes to cinemas 2 April.

Meghan Trainor revealed that she almost gave her hit song All About That Bass to another artist as she revealed ‘I’ll never look as good as Rihanna’.

The 26-year-old who is currently a judge The Voice opened up about how she struggled with her weight as she rose to fame.

Speaking on Ashley Graham’s podcast Pretty Big Deal Meghan exclaimed: ‘I knew it would never [work], I thought it would never work. People don’t sing about that stuff. People are just hot, and pop stars are just hot and beautiful. I’ll never look as good as Rihanna, you know.’

She continued: ‘I told my dad, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll be 26 and I’ll be the biggest songwriter and then I’ll figure out how to fix my body and lose weight and look like a pop star, and then I’ll do it.’

The Dear Future Husband singer revealed ahead of her stint on The Voice that her publisher almost signed her up to the singing competition.

‘My publisher, she’s my biggest fan and supporter and she always told me you should be the artist. I would just write songs and she would have me pitch them and then one day she just told me “I’m going to sign you up for The Voice, we’re going to get you on there” and I panicked,’ she added.

‘I was like “NO! Absolutely not. I’ve never been on television. How am I going to do that? How am I going to go out in front of my favourite superstars and hope that they turn around!”

‘I think that’s the scariest thing ever and at the time I just wasn’t ready.’

Megs continued: ‘I was, like, 18 and I wasn’t comfortable in my own skin.

‘I was afraid of taking pictures, I was just learning how to be comfortable with pictures of myself and that took many years of being in front of the camera and practice and learning who I am to really understand that career and that life and now I’m here and I’m like “LET’S GO! PUT ME IN!”.’

The Voice airs on Saturday at 8.30pm on ITV.

Is Love Island on tonight? (Picture: ITV)

We’re less than a week into Love Island 2020 and already we’ve seen no end of drama from the villa – not to mention two islanders leaving for good.

So far the series has brought us couplings, recouplings, new arrivals, romantic dates (and their dramatic aftermath) – as well as splitting up twins Eve and Jess Gale after Eve was dumped from the island, and Ollie Williams deciding to quit the villa.

It can only get more compelling here on in – but is the show on on Saturday nights?

Here’s what you need to know…

Is Love Island on tonight – and when is the highlights show?

The short answer is Love Island is on tonight – but not as you know it.

Because instead of the usual action from the past 24 hours in the villa, Saturday night gives the contestants the night off as Iain Stirling fronts Love Island: Unseen Bits instead.

Connagh and Sophie on Love Island
Connagh and Sophie are now coupled up (Picture: Rex Shutterstock)

That show sees the narrator taking a look at some of the highlights which didn’t make it into the main show – together with his usual witty voiceover quips, of course.

You can catch that on ITV2 tonight from 9pm – and it runs for an hour and five minutes

, the same length as the regular nightly shows.

Who are the current couples on Love Island?

Following the first recoupling of the series, here is who is currently together on the show:

  • Finley Tapp and Paige Turley
  • Connagh Howard and Sophie Piper
  • Mike Boateng and Leanne Amaning
  • Callum Jones and Shaughna Phillips
  • Connor Durman and Siannise Fudge
  • Nas Majeed and Jess Gale

John Cena feared tarnishing WWE legacy like Mickey Rourke’s character in The Wrestler

John Cena soaks up the WWE atmosphere
John Cena will never forget his roots (Credit: WWE)

John Cena has been vocal about stepping away from WWE without outstaying his welcome – and it seems his decision was influence by the big screen.

The former world champion admitted he didn’t want to end up like Mickey Rourke’s tragic character Randy “The Ram” Robinson in The Wrestler – which was directed by Darren Aronofsky and earned its leading man a Golden Globe and BAFTA – who is working to make ends meet while clinging to his legacy well past his glory days.

He told Collider: ‘I don’t want to be greedy as a performer and I see that a lot in sports entertainment. The movie The Wrestler was centred around a guy who can’t let go. I’m being a s**ty human being because I can’t let go of this thing.

‘I invested my life in that company and then there’s no one, whether they like my performance or not, that will argue that. I think after the extended period of time that I put in, it’s okay for me to take a step back and reflect and be like, “Okay, I need to have more than that in my life because if that’s all that defines me, that’s a depreciating asset”.

‘Every sunset that happens, I get a little slower and a little older and a little slower and a little older and it’s eventually going to end.’

For Cena – who has become a huge name in Hollywood with upcoming roles in the likes of The Suicide Squad and the Fast & Furious franchise – also insisted he doesn’t mind if his fame and fortune ‘all stops tomorrow’ because he’s had a fantastic run.

John Cena smirks in a WWE ring

‘I know the good things that define me and I know the qualities I have as a human being,’ he added. ‘I’m going to move on and go forward. I know that all this is borrowed. I’m just grateful to have it and grateful to be able to contribute.’

That’s not to say he’s ready to totally ignore his WWE legacy, or take over the current product at the expense of the younger stars.

He explained: ‘What I don’t want to do is take somebody who has spent 50 bucks on a ticket for themselves, their partner, their families, they bought souvenirs, they bought popcorn and paid for parking and have look at me like, “He used to be something.” You know?’
