Jameela Jamil has admitted she chose the ‘most inappropriate and unfortunate’ moment to come out.

Last week, the Good Place star came out as queer, saying it was ‘scary as an actor to openly admit your sexuality, especially when you’re already a brown female in your thirties’.

While Jameela was commended for coming out, her timing was criticised as it came against the backdrop of backlash for her role on the new vogueing competition show Legendary.

The 33-year-old was cast as a judge on the series – with HBO’s press release originally announcing she was also MC – and many argued that the job should have went to a transgender person or somebody involved in the ballroom scene.

And Jameela has now acknowledged that her statement came at a difficult time.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘Well. Last week was a perfect clusterf***. It was completely overwhelming.

‘The sequence of events was insane, a misunderstanding was left uncorrected for too long, and misinformation spread too far, too fast, then my timing was bad, and in a moment of distress and pain, personal things were blurted out because when you have a secret for decades and you’re traumatized, it always feels like it might just f***ing burst out of you at any given moment, even the most inappropriate and unfortunate ones.

‘I thankfully chose the *most* inappropriate and unfortunate time, maybe ever, for mine. 👌🏽 So now you don’t have to feel embarrassed about yours. I PEAKED FOR ALL OF US! 👊🏽’

She continued: ‘But timing aside. Better out than in, and thank you for the thousands of messages of kindness and deeply personal letters from strangers and people I know, coming out to me privately. I don’t take it lightly and am happy for you that you felt ready to tell even one person.

‘Do it whenever you feel the time is right, as long as you think you’ll be safe. Don’t feel bad for hiding it for as long as you need, and move at your own pace. But feel no shame about getting it off your chest and know you aren’t alone. There is a huge community of people who understand you, respect you and stand with you.

‘On we go, hoping this week will be calmer than the last, and sending everyone the most love. Jam 🌈.’

One follower responded on Instagram, writing: ‘I still think that you should give your position on Legendary to someone who is more involved and connected with the ballroom scene! I’m not blaming you for taking the job but when you hear that transgender people have been wronged and disregarded when they have so much experience in the scene, only because they don’t have the following that you have, then you gotta do something sister!’

Jameela replied: ‘I only signed on because they hadn’t managed to sell the show for 2 years even though it’s SO amazing. Megan [Thee Stallion] and I jumped on board to make sure it got made, because it is 90 percent ballroom talent on and off screen. We are just here to bring our followings to the show, and to support and celebrate these talented and inspiring people. We really are a small part of the show, and when people see it, they will see that.’

Jameela is a judge on Legendary alongside Megan Thee Stallion, Law Roach and Leiomy Maldonado, while Dashaun Wesley will act as MC.

Legendary will premiere this spring on HBO Max.

Buying big name video game developers isn’t cheap, but Sony has revealed just how much it paid for the creators of Ratchet & Clank.

With the new generation of consoles about to begin, Microsoft and Sony have been buying up a lot of independent developers lately, to help ensure they have a steady supply of exclusive games.

Microsoft has been on the biggest spending spree, but we never got to find out how much they paid for studios like Obsidian Entertainment and Double Fine.

But thanks to a new SEC filing we do know how much Sony paid for Marvel’s Spider-Man developer Insomniac Games… $229 million, mostly in cash.

On the face of it that seems surprisingly cheap, as Insomniac are a big studio with a lot of major hits under their belt, including the original Spyro The Dragon games, Ratchet & Clank, and the Resistance: Fall Of Man series.

They’d had a lean few years prior to the 2018 release of Marvel’s Spider-Man, but after that became a major hit Sony snapped them up last August.

Most of Insomniac’s best-known games have all been published by Sony anyway, so the purchase seemed to be a smooth one. But while you’d assume Spider-Man 2 is a shoe-in they haven’t announced what they’re working on at the moment.

Neither have a number of Sony’s other first party studios though, including Horizon Zero Dawn makers Guerrilla Games and Gran Turismo creator Polyphony Digital – although again it’s easy to guess in each case.

Obviously they’re busy making games for the upcoming PlayStation 5, but the main question is whether everything is going to be announced at once, in terms of the new games, or whether some studios, possibly including Insomniac, will keep their current projects secret for a while yet.

Stephen Mangan revealed he got abuse hurled at him in the street after series one of The Split after he ‘cheated on Nicola Walker’.

The actor appeared on Good Morning Britain alongside co-star Annabel Scholey to talk about the second series, which will hit our screens tonight.

The star explained that viewers got ‘very upset’ with him after his character Nathan cheated on Hannah (Nicola Walker).

And while you’d think fans would be angry at him for cheating on Hannah, you couldn’t be more wrong as they are actually mad at him for being unfaithful to actress Nicola.

‘I got a lot of grief because my character started out as a really normal and loyal, fun and maybe slightly boring husband,’ he told the hosts.

‘And then it was discovered that I was on this list, dating website, like adultery websites and I, had people, lots of people coming up to me on the street saying “how could you cheat on Nicola walker?”, on Nicola, not the character, people were very very upset with me so I am bracing myself for more abuse.’

He added: ‘If you’re going to make a second series you have to top the first one otherwise, you have to do something good if not better otherwise what is the point of bringing it back?’

The synopsis for the first episode of series two reads: ‘The Split delves back into the world of a high-flying family of lawyers, where Hannah Stern is busy negotiating complex divorce cases whilst being confronted by difficulties in her own family.

‘Although Hannah and Nathan’s marriage seems to be back on track, she hasn’t forgiven him for his past indiscretions and is continuing her relationship with Christie in secret. With pressure mounting on her in her personal life, she meets a new client at work, TV presenter Fi Hansen, who is part of a celebrity power couple and is concerned about her prenup.

‘Meanwhile, Ruth comes to terms with a different pace of life, and Zander introduces an unsettling new colleague to the firm.

It sounds like there is more drama on the way.

The Splits airs on Tuesday at 9pm on BBC1.

The cast for the live-action remake of Cinderella has got even bigger, with James Corden, Romesh Ranganathan and John Mulaney being signed up to play the mice/footmen.

Sony’s Cinderella, which will star Camila Cabello as the title role, has also signed up Minnie Driver to play Queen Beatrice, Deadline reports.

Other big names who will be appearing in the upcoming movie include former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan, who will play the King and father to Prince Robert, who will be played by Nicholas Galitzine.

Idina Menzel will play the evil stepmother in the reimagining of the classic fairytale, while Billy Porter will take on the role of the fairy godmother.

As well as now starring in the movie, James Corden will also be producing the flick alongside Leo Pearlman, through their production company Fulwell 73.

Kay Cannon will helm the upcoming film, which is slated for release in February 2021, and which is the latest Disney classic to be given the live action treatment.

The updated version will see Cinderella as an ‘ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow’.

The musical comedy will be based on an original idea by James Corden, and despite still being in the early stages of development, the casting process is well under way.

This new version of Cinderella is not the first big-screen interpretation of the fairy tale – with the most recent being Kenneth Branagh’s 2015 live-action film, which starred Lily James as the titular character.

While most of the live action remakes of classic children’s films have been huge successes, one that didn’t have quite the same appeal was Cats, which was widely panned by critics and audiences alike.

Cinderella will be released in cinemas on 5 February 2021.

Kellan Lutz’s wife Brittany Gonzalez has opened up about her devastating grief after suffering a stillbirth six months into her pregnancy and admits she’s ‘not ready’ for another baby.

The couple announced the sad news last week that Brittany, who married the Twilight actor in 2017, had lost their unborn child after a stillbirth. 

According to the NHS, stillbirth is defined as losing a baby after 24 weeks of pregnancy. Less than 24 weeks is classed as a miscarriage or foetal loss.

In a heartbreaking Instagram post, Brittany detailed how she has been coping with her loss and compares herself to Leonardo DiCaprio and his Oscar-winning performance in The Revenant.

‘This has, without a doubt, been the hardest season of my life,’ Brittany began. 

‘It feels as though within one day we went from a season that felt like a warm summer day, to the most frigid, windiest, iciest, day ever recorded. (Anyone ever seen The Revenant with Leo? I feel like Leo in The Revenant right now!)’ 

The 31-year-old went on to explain how her ‘emotions’ are ‘slightly all over the place’ although she understands it’s a part of the grieving process.

‘Some moments I feel so full of peace and hope and expectancy. And other moments, simply put, it all just hurts like hell,’ she stated. 

Brittany revealed that she has been forced to face a ‘cruel reminder’ of the pregnancy and what was to come, as she is now producing milk. 

‘The pain… I miss her. A lot,’ she admitted. ‘My milk came in last night. My boobs are rocks, leaking, and hurt like heck. It feels like a cruel reminder that I have no baby to feed.’ 

She added: ‘My arms and neck are covered in bruises from IVs and blood transfusions and my body is so sore from fighting to survive.’ 

Brittany is now trying to look towards the future with positivity and has praised Kellan, 34, for being the ‘greatest husband’. 

Sharing her future fertility plans, Brittany stated: ‘Even though this is so heavy, I have an unexplainable hope and excitement for the future. 

‘I’m not ready for another pregnancy right now, (not sure when I will be honestly), but I’m excited to heal and move forward and explore this new version of myself.’

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation looks set for a revival in order to celebrate the 20^th anniversary of the show debuted.

The crime drama has become a firm favourite as it focused on the forensic pathologists that use science to help detectives discover the truth behind a series of grisly murders in Las Vegas.

Now, US network CBS is in talks to bring it back for a new series with the entire original cast involved, according to Deadline.

The ‘event series’ may well be a one-off to mark the landmark year for the show – which at its peak would draw in 25million viewers a week.

Ending in 2015, the show has numerous spin-offs CSI: Miami, CSI: New York and CSI: Cyber – all of which have been celebrated just as much as the original.

It’s been reported that William Petersen and Jorja Fox, who played Gil Grisson and Sara Sidle in the series, have both been approached to return.

George Eads, who played Nick Stokes on the show, was the longest running member of the squad, appearing in 335 episodes during the show’s run.

Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows), Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown) and Paul Guilfoyle (Captain Jim Brass) completed the show’s original top five cast members, but it’s unknown who will return.

If it does go ahead, the team want Elementary writer Jason Tracey to pen the plot, with Jerry Bruckheimer once again producing.

It’s believed the show will return to Vegas, acting as a ‘sequel’ and catch up with the team who we last saw in the two-hour series finale of 2015

First it was Temtem copying Pokémon, now a PC clone of Animal Crossing is entering early access and it looks surprisingly good.

Copying Nintendo is not something that most games companies usually dare, not only because they’re notoriously litigious but because if rustling up a clone of Mario or Zelda was that easy everyone would be doing.

Some of Nintendo’s less action-packed games do offer an easier target though and the turn-based battles of Temtem do manage to do some things better than Pokémon.

There are also some obvious benefits Hokko Life has over Animal Crossing, simply by being on PC, which allows for more complex customisation and interface options.

Animal Crossing is one of Nintendo’s most laidback franchises and there’s no goal as such, beyond expanding your house and filling it with as much interesting bric-a-brac as possible.

Making friends with your animal neighbours, and collecting bugs and fish, is also a big part of it and Hokko Life seems to have all that too.

The game isn’t some cynical clone by a giant company though, but instead a one-man project by former Lionhead and Sony developer Robert Tatnell.

Apart from the novelty of it being available on a non-Nintendo format the big draw of Hokko Life is that you can design your own furniture, clothes, and wallpaper in a much more detailed way than any Animal Crossing game.

There’s also a crafting element, which is being introduced in next month’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and some Stardew Valley style farming, which isn’t.

Hokko Life plans to enter early access later this year, while Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out for Nintendo Switch on 20 March.

Blac Chyna has hit back at the backlash over her being at the Oscars on Sunday night, claiming the response was ‘racist’.

The model, 31, who has a son, King Cairo, with Tyga and a daughter, Dream Kardashian with Rob Kardashian, was surprised so many people questioned her appearance at the film awards.

Many fans took to Twitter to comment on Chyna going to the awards, as she is not involved in the movie industry, but her reps claimed it was no different to anyone in the entertainment industry turning up.

They told TMZ: ‘Whether it be the fact that she is a reality star, a single mother, or the inevitable reminder that she was a former stripper … it does nothing to change the narrative that just maybe the Oscars indeed are “so white”.

‘[It] further highlights the fight that many African Americans in the Entertainment Industry face; yes, even during Black History Month.’

According to the site, Chyna took the comments to show that the Oscars still has a ‘big problem with people of colour’.

Her rep added that although Chyna was not nominated or involved in any way with any of the films that were, she ‘finds inspiration in supporting her friends, mentors, and other talent that has helped provide a blueprint for her career.’

Chyna had taken to Instagram to tell fans she was attending the event as a plus one to sound engineer Christopher Trujillo.

She had opted for a black, floor-length gown with a thigh slit to show off the tattoo on her leg, and a slit to the navel, with statement blue glittery fringes on her cuffs and giant shoulder pads.

Her hair was styles in 1920s-style waves, and she kept her jewellery to a pair of earrings to let the statement dress do the talking instead.

The line-up for Reading and Leeds Festival is here – and after Stormzy’s incredible Glastonbury headliner last summer, he’s back on the big stage.

The Vossi Bop star is headlining the Friday night in Reading and the Saturday night in Leeds, and he sounds pretty chuffed.

The 26-year-old shared a picture of the bill to Instagram, and quoted his track Big Michael, writing: ‘Could be Glasto could be Reading.’

No doubt the grime star will be one of the biggest draws of the weekend, following his groundbreaking headlining spot at Glastonbury in 2019.

Stormzy joins Liam Gallagher and Rage Against The Machine at the top of the impressive line-up.

RATM, who have reunited after a nine-year hiatus, will be playing Leeds on the Friday and Reading on the Sunday, marking the rockers’ third time at the festival, after performances in 1996 and 2008.

And Oasis legend Liam – who confirmed his participation last year – will be taking to the stage in Reading on Saturday, and Leeds on Sunday.

The rest of the line-up isn’t too shabby either, with Migos, Gerry Cinnamon, Courteeners, Run The Jewels and Two Door Cinema Club also hitting the main stage.

On the BBC Radio 1 Stage, revellers will be treated to performances from Sam Fender, Dermot Kennedy, Mahalia, AJ Tracey, IDLES, Rex Orange County and Fontaines DC.

While the quality of acts is no doubt impressive, there is a distinct lack of women on the bill – with only Mabel and Lady Leshurr getting main stage slots.

Reading and Leeds Festival is on from 27 to 30 August, with tickets going on sale this Thursday at 9am.

YouTube star NikkieTutorials has been announced as the online host for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 and we’re definitely into it.

The Dutch star, who boasts a following of more than 13 million on YouTube, said she was ‘beyond thrilled’ to announce the news as she shared a string of snaps of herself donning a glitzy jacket.

Basically, she already looks like a pro.

‘GOOD EVENING EUROPE, I am beyond honored and thrilled to announce that I’m the online host for #ESC2020,’ she wrote.

‘I’ll appear on all three #Eurovision live shows AND host a special YouTube series with this year’s participating artists in ROTTERDAM!’

The YouTuber – real name Nikkie de Jager – said in the video: ‘Today I am taking back my own power.

‘Planet Earth is full of labels and I never felt comfortable with labels. I wanted to be my own person, my own identity, without any rules, labels and without any restrictions.’

And her announcement as the online host for the contest comes after a string of performers have been confirmed for the contest, which is set to take place in May this year.

Singer Diodato will be representing Italy this year, after the star took home the win at the Sanremo Festival competition.

Samanta Tina will represent Latvia, while Montaigne will be taking to the stage for Australia. Meanwhile, Eden Alane has made history as the first Ethiopian-Israeli to represent Israel.

However, the announcements haven’t come without a touch of drama (of course), as Italian hopefuls Bugo & Morgan were disqualified after storming off-stage mid-performance at the Sanremo festival.

Things took a turn for the worse when Morgan changed up the lyrics at the last minute and seemingly threw all the shade at his duetting partner.

To the music of their track, Sincero, he called his buddy out on his alleged ‘ingrattitude, arrogance, and bad intention,’ as well as telling him to ‘respect the stage and the person who brought him there.’

And as the words flowed from his mouth, the live orchestra stopped playing, seeing Bugo leave the stage in a huff.

This Morning’s Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have just gone and surprised a couple with £1000 after they lost their purse last week.

Pauline and Geoffrey Walker are internet sensations after the plea for help went viral.

Taking to Instagram, the pensioners shared a video of themselves explaining how their purse and the money inside was stolen during a trip to town.

In the caption, they wrote: ‘Someone has stolen Pauline‘s purse from her bag while shopping in Coalville today.

‘The bank has guaranteed return of all unauthorised transactions with her touch card so that’s okay.’

They added: ‘If you find her purse please [phone] one of our family telephone numbers inside, luckily she did not have a large amount of cash inside.’

And now the duo have appeared on the popular breakfast show to give an update on their stolen purse.

‘There’s a lot of people looking for it but I don’t think they’ll find it,’ Pauline confessed while sat next to her hubby.

Talking about how they’re trying to move on from the ordeal, Geoffrey added: ‘We have moved on from that now, we don’t dwell on negative things too long, we like to present a happy face.’

Holly and Phil however, tried to cheer up their guests by playing their new game Spin to Win.

‘We only do this for very special occasions,’ Phil told them, before explaining the game’s rule: ‘We have lots of cash prizes and you will win the prize that the arrow spins on. Hopefully that will fill up any new purse.’

When asked if they wanted a hard or soft spin, Pauline and Geoffrey sat there in silence, looking completely baffled as to what was going on.

Phil joked: ‘We’ll go with a hard spin,’ as he whizzed the wheel round while hoping for a large sum.

The arrow stopped on £1000, and when they announced the news to the up and coming influencers, Pauline whispered to her man: ‘£1000.’

‘Yep £1000 is on its way to you to put into whatever purse you have,’ Holly confirmed, but got no reply.

Closing off the segment, Phil joked: ‘I think they’re a bit stunned…’ as Pauline and Geoffrey’s call came to an end.

No doubt their new fortune will sink in soon and we can’t wait to see their next Instagram post on it!

Liz Hurley gave us all tiara envy with her latest fashion look as she headed to India for a ‘magical’ weekend with her friends.

The actor and model, 54, shared a series of photos from her trip on Instagram, telling her followers: ‘A magical weekend with old friends in Jaiselmer.

‘It may take some time to recover. Thank you to @tanyadubash and @arvinddubash for being the best hosts #lebaloriental’.

Elizabeth stunned in a floor-length see-through mesh dress with grey embellishments, which she paired with a large ornate necklace.

The pièce de résistance, however, was the elaborate tiara she wore on her head, that would put most pageant queens (and possibly Queen Elizabeth herself) to shame with how regal it was.

Liz is no stranger to a crown, however, as she starred as Queen Helena Henstridge in The Royals from 2015 until 2018.

The American primetime soap opera saw Liz star as a fictional queen consort of England and charted the family’s various dramas.

She also recently claimed she and the actual Queen share the same stalker, saying om Watch What Happens Live: ‘Well, in the office in London, we have a file called “nutters”. Every time particular people send mail, they have to go into the nutter file.

‘There’s one nutter – I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this – he only stalks two people. I’m one of them, and the other is the Queen of England. So as it happens, every time he changes location, we get told by Scotland Yard.’

Liz looks to be having a great time in India, as she shared a variety of outfits on her social media accounts from her week in Jaiselmar, Rajasthan.

Lucifer season 5 is the final season of this crime caper/ romance/ drama – and we’re both excited for it to arrive, while also not looking forward as we know this is the devil’s final curtain on our screens.

Dennis Haybert is joining the cast as God

Dear Old Dad has never been seen before now – though was briefly heard in the Christmas special, where he was voiced by comic book creator, Neil Gaiman.

But now he’s back with a brand new voice… and we finally get a face along with it in the shape of 24 star, Dennis Haybert.

Showrunner Ildy Modrovich previously teased he would be a ‘guiding force’ for Luce and brother Amenadiel (DB Woodside), but seeing as their relationship with their father isn’t exactly a cherished one, we’re not sure that’ll be a good thing.

Thankfully a photo of the two brothers and their dad, pictured above, seems to be a little more civilised.

Guess we’ll know soon enough.

Smallville’s John Glover rumoured to join cast in unknown role

Lucifans dropping by the Warner Bros studio in Los Angeles got a bit of a shock when John Glover, aka Lionel Luther in Smallville, started talking to a crowd of people waiting to get into a taping of Conan O’Brien’s talk show.

And in the process casually dropped that he was going to be in Lucifer.

According to the poster on Reddit, he told those outside: ‘I just got this part in this show, have you guys heard of it?’

In a photo to prove the claims, Glover was seen clutching a script which clearly has the Lucifer logo on it – though we don’t know who exactly he plays just yet.

Seeing as Tom Welling, who was Smallville’s Clark Kent, has also been in the show as Cain/Detective Pearce, we can’t help but wonder if they’re somehow connected…

Lucifer episode titles revealed so far

The Lucifer Writers Room have been slowly leaking the titles of the upcoming episodes as each one goes into production.

It’s not known if they’re subject to change, but either way they’re enough to get us hyped up… or in a couple of cases, extremely confused.

Throw in that they’re filming filmed out of order, which means that the number on the scripts aren’t always the actual order it’ll be seen in, and you’ve officially got us stumped.

The Lucifer musical episode is officially ON

Anyone who’s watched Lucifer knows these things about Lucifer – 1) he really needs to learn that it’s not safe to have an elevator from a nightclub straight into your home with no key, and 2) his piano is one of his most precious possessions.

So after hearing his previous renditions and musical interludes (with one from Maze in season four for good measure) it seemed just matter of time before a musical episode was announced.

Well, the writing team were listening, and in the upcoming season we’re finally getting that sing-a-long that we’ve been begging for. 

The detective squad will be getting their dance and sing-song on in Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam.

On top of that, we’re also going to be getting some all-singing-all-dancing moments in other episodes too as Maze and Lucifer perform a duet together in an all black-and-white episode.

Lucifer season 5a release date

… Yup, this is the big one, and unfortunately there has been no sign of confirmation just yet.

However the team have been filming for the past four months on the show, and while it’s still in production, it looks likely there may be news soon.

The gang are pretty good at tying in some news with a devillish twist – announcing season 4 last year with a naked Tom Ellis video to mark the start of a 666 hour countdown to the show’s launch.

So whatever it is, they’re definitely going to be making a song and dance about it, and that’s before the musical special kicks in.

Lucifer seasons 1 to 3 are available on Amazon Prime Video, and season 4 is available on Netflix.

Saturday night TV just won’t be the same now that ITV has axed the dating show Take Me Out.

The Paddy McGuinness fronted show has been a part of the schedules since 2010, matching single girls with lads looking for love – and hoping to score a match in the Isle Of Fernando’s.

But all good things must come to an end – so with ITV having pulled the plug, just when is the final series set to air?

Here’s what you need to know…

When is Take Me Out’s final series?

There’s been no word from ITV so far on when the final series might air – or even if there is going to be a final series.

The show was last seen on screen in the autumn, with the most recent series followed by a 1980s special, as well as one involving members of the emergency services.

However it’s unclear whether another series had gone into production or been confirmed at the time of the announcement.

So we may have to accept the fact that Take Me Out’s love lift has already shut down for good.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to ITV for comment.

Why has Take Me Out been axed?

Although no official reason has been given for the show getting the chop, reports have suggested that it’s simply run its course.

A source told The Sun: ‘ITV and Paddy have done all the specials you can eke out of a dating show, so it’s been decided it’s time for it to go.

‘As with many shows, ratings have slid a bit in recent years. But it will go down as a big success — it’s had more weddings than Blind Date.’

A spokesperson for the channel said: ‘We’d like to thank Paddy, the production team at Thames as well as all the contributors for their hard work in making the show such unmissable television.’

The show spawned seven weddings and six babies during its time on air, among them Beckie Finch and Adam Ryan – who welcomed a son in 2018.

Beckie took to Twitter to pay tribute to the show, saying: ‘So sad to see Take Me Out come to an end. I owe everything to the show, the wonderful producers, everyone backstage, Paddy McGuinness and the contestants of series eight. My little family wouldn’t have existed without it.’

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were joined by a Flat Earther on This Morning, who compared the planet to Peter Weir’s movie, The Truman Show.

Mark Sargent, who has written the book Flat Earth Clues: The Sky’s The Limit, sat on the iconic sofa where he shared his views on the world.

And while Phil tried to defend the theory that the Earth is in fact a globe, Mark argued otherwise – seeing him call Tim Peake a fake.

He said: ‘We can’t prove it’s a globe, it starts out with everyone in the Flat Earth community saying can you prove it without using NASA.’

The host chirped in: ‘I flew on the Concorde, and you get up to 65,000 foot, and I could see the curvature of the Earth.’

However, Mark wasn’t convinced as he told the presenter that he only saw what he wanted to.

‘You’re looking at CGI nothing more,’ he confessed before turning his attention to satellites: ‘There is something up there [in space], no question, but are there people inside it? No not a chance.’

When asked about the moon landing, and the astronauts that say they’ve traveled through space, Mark shared his outlook on the infamous Tim Peake.

‘He’s a military officer nothing more – everyone that goes up there is high ranking military,’ he said: ‘If you don’t fake it, the private industry is going to get involved and they will fake it on their own.’

Trying to explain his thoughts, Mark went onto compare the world to The Truman Show, adding: ‘It’s very similar – the really short version is, you don’t live on a globe.’

He then held up an example of his beliefs, showing Antarctica forming a circular ice wall around the other continents – which Phil jokingly compared to Game Of Thrones.

Turning to the law, he said: ‘The Antarctic Treaty forbids [you going to the wall], you cannot go there.’

Holly looked truly baffled and asked where he got this information from, to which Mark stated: ‘It’s not secret information, it’s public domain, it’s all corporations – that treaty was built in 1959.’

Closing off the segment, Phil joked: ‘Out of all the things going on in the world, and everything that is happening, I think we’d be able to cope if someone said, “this is how it is.”‘

He added: ‘Stop spending money on CGI and build some hospitals! I think we’re ready to know.’

Kelvin Fletcher’s wife Liz Marsland unfollowed her husband on Instagram amid rumours he had been getting a little too close to his Strictly partner, Oti Mabuse at the weekend.

Kelvin and Oti were crowned the winners of Strictly Come Dancing 2019 with Kelvin describing it at the time as ‘the most amazing experience of my life.’

So, what is happening between the pair and why did Kelvin’s wife unfollow him on Instagram? And, have another two contestants fallen victim to the Strictly curse…?

What happened between Kelvin and Oti from Strictly?

Pictures have emerged of Kelvin and Oti heading into a hotel for a nightcap at 3:30am on Saturday morning.

The pair had been out with their Strictly co-stars and were celebrating the end of their live tour with some drinks.

The pictures, obtained by Mail Online, show the Emmerdale star, 36, with his arm around Oti, 29, as they waited to get into the hotel, however, there is nothing to suggest there is anything untoward going on between the pair.

That was, until Kelvin’s wife Liz unfollowed him on Instagram, leading to speculation something else could be going on.

However, Liz was quick to quell any rumours, saying she unfollowed him because she was simply upset he was out drinking while she was at home with their two young children.

She has since told Entertainment presenter Richard Arnold that she ‘trusts him completely.’

Oti is also married and tied the knot with her professional dancer husband, Marius Lepure, in 2012.

Who is Kelvin Fletcher’s wife Liz Marsland and when did they marry?

Liz – who also goes by the names of Elizabeth, Eliza and Liza – is an actress and singer from Lancashire.

She starred in the 2016 TV series In The Club and has done the voiceover for several advertisements including Jet2 and Spotify.

Kelvin and Liz have known each other since they were eight but began dating over a decade later when Liz finished university.

They wed in a private ceremony in London in 2015 where wedding guests included Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan.

Together they have two children – Marine Molly, three, and one-year-old Milo.

Amid her tour for Jagged Little Pill’s 25th anniversary, Alanis Morissette is set to play an acoustic gig in London.

And isn’t it ironic? Nope, still not ironic.

Anyway, the exciting news comes after the singer announced in December she’d dropped a brand new song, called Reasons I Drink, that features on her new album, set for release this year.

But it wasn’t just the new material the vocal talent was bestowing us with, as she’s also set to hit the road and head on tour to celebrate 25 years since the release of her 1995 album Jagged Little Pill – that boasts her iconic hit Ironic.

And that includes London, you’ll now be very pleased to know (we assume, since you’re reading this).

On Twitter the Canadian singer announced three fresh intimate acoustic European dates, which include a gig in the UK capital for anyone who’s ruddy keen to rock out (acoustically, of course) to some You Oughta Know.

She wrote on Tuesday: ‘Coming across the ocean to play a few intimate acoustic jagged little pill shows…can’t wait to see you!’

When it comes to ye olde London town, Alanis will take to Shepherd’s Bush Empire for a special gig on 4 March 2020.

Don’t dilly dally with the decision making though, if you’re keen to go tickets are bound to be snapped up quick smart when they go on sale Friday, 14 February from 10am.

Aside from Europe, Alanis will make her way across the US, performing on 31 different dates in the likes of Nashville, Los Angeles, Toronto and Seattle.

Jagged Little Pill – Alanis’ album that hit number one in 13 different countries – has also been turned into its own Broadway musical, that debuted in New York on December.

First released in 1995 (hence that 25 year anniversary palaver) the album reached number one across the globe including here in the UK, as well as US and her native Canada.

With more than 33 million copies sold it was one of the biggest selling albums of all time, as Kanye might say.

And seems we’re still pretty obsessed.

Nicki Minaj has thrown her support behind Prince Harry for his decision to quit the royal family for his wife, Meghan Markle.

The Queen singer, 37, revealed her thoughts on the duke and duchess stepping down as senior royals – and she had nothing but praise for Harry.

Speaking on Apple Music’s Queen Radio, she said: ‘Now I do want to get into something. Who thinks it’s cool that the girl Meghan Markle left the UK with her husband?

‘Can I just say what I think about that real quick? Kudos to him. Is it William or Harry? I don’t know. Harry, thank you.

‘Kudos to Harry because let me tell you something, and this is what I love about my husband, real men always say a happy wife a happy life. That’s what real men say.’

Nicki admitted that she finds it attractive when men put their partner over everything, revealing that that is how her husband, Kenneth Petty, treats her.

She added: ‘It’s so attractive, like it turns me on. It’s like put your woman first you know and make sure she’s always comfortable and happy.

‘And like what happened with Princess Diana, we don’t need a redo or a re-run. You feel me? Everybody knows I love Princess Diana and if you’re being bullied in the media and you’re sick of this s**t and all you wanted was to marry the man that you loved, then by God yes he should support you in getting the f**k up out of there.’

Nicki also admitted that while she doesn’t know what ‘the queen’s house looking like or smelling like’ but that if she were to move into the palace she would want to have everything brand new and no old furniture.

Meghan and Harry have managed to avoid much of the headlines in the past few weeks as they began their new life in Canada with their son, Archie – and by the sounds of it, Nicki Minaj might pop round with a housewarming gift, too.

50 Cent’s hit series Power came to an end this week after six long seasons of riding with Ghost and Tommy through the drugs and drama. 

Netflix viewers had spent weeks trying to predict who shot Ghost but when the murderer was finally revealed in the series finale, they realised it was actually easily predictable all along. 

*** SPOILER *** 

Producers had led us through exhaustive flashbacks over the past five episodes with each told from the perspective of the main suspects – Tommy, Rashad, Paz and Dre, before finally revealing Tariq – Ghost’s own son – as the shooter. 

His mother, Tasha, taking the fall for his crime was the (expected) twist in the tale. 

The closing scene featured a montage of Tariq starting a bright new life as a college student – albeit only as a requirement to get his hands on Ghost’s inheritance money – and Tasha beginning a gloomy new chapter behind bars. 

Although providing some enjoyable moments, it wasn’t exactly the whodunnit shocker of the decade… pretty much everyone on social media guessed Tariq as the killer and that Tasha would take the wrap for her beloved – translation bratty – son. 

But there is plenty more steam in the Power train as creator Courtney Kemp, has revealed her plans to create a Marvel-style universe which is pretty rare in TV land. 

‘We are patterning it after Marvel, where different characters come in and out of other people’s shows,’ Courtney told Entertainment Weekly.

‘So there’s crossovers and some of your favorite characters will come back, even if they don’t get their own spin-off, they will show up in places. We’re trying to really do it for the fans, to give the most of what they want.’ 

To be exact, there are currently four Power spin-offs in the works. 

What Power spin-offs are in the works? 

Power Book II: Ghost 

The first, Power Book II: Ghost, has already started filming and will star Mary J Blige and Method Man. 

It’s expected to focus on Blige’s character as a businessman from Queens and Tariq (played by Michael Rainey Jr) who will likely follow in his father’s footsteps into the drug game. 

Naturi Naughton, who plays Tasha, also shared a photo of herself on-set wearing prison scrubs so fans will be able to see what happened next after she was locked up for Ghost’s murder. 

The only problem is that Tariq grew to be an incredibly unlikeable character by the series end – especially after killing Ghost – so it’ll be interesting to see how the wayward teen will redeem himself. 

Power Book III: Raising Kanan

You didn’t think 50 Cent was going to create a whole Power universe and not include a series about his own character did you?

There are few details about Raising Kanan but judging by the title, it’ll likely explore the complex character of Kanan Stark, played by 50 Cent. 

Deadline previously reported it as a prequel jumping back to the 1990s during Kanan’s younger years in Queens when he met Ghost and Tommy. 

Power Book IV: Influence 

Corrupt wannabe governor Rashad Tate (played brilliantly by Larenz Tate) will be getting his own show and, actually, this one we’re pretty excited about. 

Rashad was a fascinating character who had the perfect amount of charm and cunning in equal measure. 

At the end of Power, he found himself back in the running for governor after Ghost’s death so fans will no doubt like to see more of his scheming ways. 

Power Book V: Force 

Tommy was honestly the core of Power and we felt a pang of pain when he rode off to find the Californian sunset in his beloved mustang. 

It’s widely rumoured that Force will follow what Tommy gets up to in his new surroundings – and whether he becomes top of the drug game again.

Just with a lot more sunshine than chilly New York. 

That’s a lot of Power to get through in the coming years – can there really be too much of a good thing?

Avengers star Mark Ruffalo revealed he would love to star in the new TV series of Parasite as he is tipped for the lead role.

The Marvel star’s potential ‘involvement’ comes one month after HBO announced it was developing a limited series based on the hit film.

Featuring Bong Joon-Ho and Adam McKay as executive producers, the series is said to take place between the two time periods in the movie.

According to scooper Jeff Sneider (via Collider), ‘multiple sources’ say the Parasite series want Ruffalo to take the starring role.

Asked for comment, HBO explained in a statement, ‘The HBO limited series inspired by Parasite is in the early stages of development, and to speculate on any characters or casting is wildly premature.’

And it seems that Ruffalo is equally as keen to be part of it as he told TMZ: ‘That’d be amazing’.

‘He’s [Bong] amazing. I love him. His speech last night was incredible he made an amazing movie and I’d be honored to be able to play something in that. It’s so beautiful. You know how it is nowadays, nothing’s done until it’s done but maybe one day. It’d be cool to be a part of.’

Parasite is the first non-English language film to win the best picture prize in the 92-year history of the Academy Awards.

The film, which is an equal mix of black comedy and psychological thriller is directed by Bong Joon-ho and follows the life of two Seoul families, as they get entangled in an unexpected incident

Its meticulously-structured plot, dark humour, and stunning cinematography have earned it plaudits with critics and cinephiles alike.

Parasite opened in UK cinemas on Friday 7 February and is showing in over 100 locations in the UK.

It is not available on Netflix or any other UK streaming platforms at present, however, if you’re on Netflix you can catch director Bong Joon-ho’s acclaimed action-adventure hit, Okja (2017).
