Harry Styles reassured fans he was ok after he was robbed at knifepoint on Valentine’s Day, as he appeared on NBC’s Today Show.

The Fine Line star’s appearance at the Today Show had fans queuing round the block to see the star, before he performed some of his new songs and sat down for an interview with Carson Daly.

Harry was asked about the terrifying incident in which he was robbed of money on Valentine’s Day by a man with a knife, but thankfully was unharmed.

He told Carson Daly: ‘I’m OK, thanks, thank you. Thanks for asking.’

The robbery was the day before his rumoured ex, Caroline Flack, died by suicide, proving to be a difficult weekend for the singer.

While he hasn’t spoken out about her death, Harry paid tribute to Caroline on the red carpet at the Brit Awards by wearing a black ribbon on his lapel.

The night also saw Harry and Lizzo hanging out, and making jokes about their friendship with host Jack Whitehall, and it looks like that is far from the last time we will see them hanging out.

Harry addressed speculation that the pair would eventually collaborate, telling the hosts: ‘I just think she’s amazing, I think she’s such a great artist.

‘As a fan, what you want an artist to be is themselves, and I think she’s someone who is just herself and she makes amazing music and it’s really feel-good, and I think that’s what a lot of people need right now. I think she’s great.’

When asked whether the pair would team up on a song together, Harry remained tight-lipped but said: ‘Maybe!’

The singer has jumped on stage with Lizzo to perform her hit song Juice – complete with synchronised dance moves, of course – and he even performed the track at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, too.

Harry, who rocked his performance on the Today Show in a pink suit and spotted tie that only he could pull off, also attracted crowds who had battled the rain to wait outside New York’s Rockefeller Center for him for hours, in the hopes they could see him in the flesh.

It was all worthwhile for the confirmation that a Lizzo collaboration could happen in the future… now they need to get in the studio and make it happen.

Netflix’s Love Is Blind has gone and dropped a whole host of awkward first dates that didn’t make the final cut.

The new dating show has captured viewers with its interesting take on falling in love.

And while fans eagerly await the final installment (set to drop on the streaming platform tomorrow FYI), the show has decided to make the wait slightly easier with a string of never before seen dates.

Taking to Twitter, their official page uploaded a short video with back to back clips of cringe-worthy moments seeing Giannina and Barnett joke about Game Of Thrones, while Amber shows off her artificial intelligence knowledge to Cameron.

‘You ever watch Game Of Thrones?’ Barnett asks Giannina, who quips: ‘Are you Jon Snow?’

And in true Barnett fashion, he goes onto brag: ‘I think I’m more attractive than Jon Snow,’ before quickly adding: ‘I’m kidding.’

But Giannina sees right through his act, and teases: ‘You’re not kidding.’

Trying to defend himself, the hopeful says: ‘Oh no, I don’t have the long hair, I wish I did. I got the sides without the top.’

He jokes that he is actually going bald – and that might have just been the worst chat up line in history.

We’re then taken to Amber and Cameron’s date where she tells him artificial intelligence is going to be ‘the downfall of humanity.’

Although that’s a popular opinion, Cameron was impressed, with the 27-year-old quickly quoting Yogi Bear (as you do), telling him: ‘See, I’m not your average bear.’

And while they struggle on through the date, Diamond and Mark are getting to know each other – and i doesn’t take long for the talk to get dirty.

‘Do you know anything about Pisces?’ Mark asks after Diamond growled when finding out his star sign.

‘I heard you guys are good in bed,’ she tells him demanding the answer: ‘Urm, I… You know… I’m not gonna.’

Awkward!

It seems Nicole Scherzinger is taking style cues from her mates Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly as she emerged suited and booted – well, heeled – on Wednesday in London.

The star evidently meant business as she donned an amazingly chic blazer coat and pantsuit as she hung around the BBC studios in the capital.

Frankly, we never look this swish while loitering outside broadcasting buildings.

Bringing the outfit home, The Pussycat Dolls star added a pair of nude heels and massive sunglasses because her future is just.too.bright right now.

Is that a dad joke, or is that a dad joke?

Oh, and can we please pay special attention to the legend ‘pussy power’ gold necklace in reference to the Pussycat Dolls? And, ah, where can we get four of those?

Anyway, while the singer and X Factor judge is always looking amazing, it seems she has taken notes from her mates Ant and Dec who tried to cover up her group’s stage costumes over the weekend with their own suits.

The newly reformed girl band – made up of Nicole, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar – appeared on Saturday Night Takeaway on, you guessed it, Saturday to sing a medley of their hits during the End of the Show, Show.

The five-piece took to the stage wearing black robes where they began singing Buttons, and Ant and Dec nodded along seemingly enjoying the performance until the robes came off.

The comedy duo jokingly shook their heads and started running down towards the stage to try and put a stop to the performance – seemingly riffing on the hoard of pearl-clutchers who recently found issue with what the PCD wear while on stage.

When the girls weren’t stopping their performance, the pair attempted to try and cover up Nicole and Kimberly’s outfits with their blazers and vests, before then stripping off themselves.

Still, because people will never learn to just appreciate talent when they see it, an Ofcom spokesperson confirmed to Metro.co.uk that 67 people went to all the effort to contact the telly watchdog about the group’s iconic performance, because, apparently a raunchy routine to their classic bops warrants complaint.

Oh, this world.

Nicole’s appearance today comes just weeks after the PCD officially dropped their comeback single, React, which is quite simply, pure nostalgia party for the ears. Keep doing what you’re doing ladies – we’re loving every minute.

Alexa Bliss wants the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to get a bigger spotlight at WrestleMania 36.

The SmackDown superstar – who held the gold last year with her BFF Nikki Cross – has set her sights on regaining the belts and thinks the upcoming Show of Shows in Tampa, Florida would be the perfect way to bring relevancy to the relatively new titles, with Bayley and Sasha Banks being crowned inaugural champs in February 2019.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, she said: ‘I would love for us to go for the tag team championships again. We’re establishing the women’s tag division still, and there’s no better place to showcase the titles than at WrestleMania!

‘I think our women’s tag division has some of the most talented women on the roster, you just don’t see that because the tag division is so new and it’s not getting as big of a spotlight. But it’s just a matter of time because the titles area so new, and I think WrestleMania is the perfect spotlight for it!’

Since the Kabuki Warriors – Kairi Sane and Asuka – won the gold at Hell In A Cell in October, the tag championships have taken a bit of a back seat as the latter has been more focused on Becky Lynch’s Raw Women’s Title.

However, Alexa – who previously admitted she’s love to have Bowling For Soup play her entrance for WrestleMania this year – and Nikki could be the breath of fresh air the division needs.

The tag team has been a revelation for Little Miss Bliss, as she’s had to get used to working as a babyface rather than drawing the ire of the WWE Universe.

‘It’s been very interesting, being the bad guy for six years and then all of a sudden being told, “Oh you’re a good guy,” ‘ she added. ‘So I’m definitely working on getting rid of those bad guy tendencies – it’s still in my nature to scream at the ref and throw a temper tantrum in the ring, but hopefully I can gear it towards another direction!’

The former women’s champion is glad to be able to let loose on screen, particularly because she’s find it too hard to hold it together with a front row seat to Nikki’s antics.

‘A lot of times I just don’t keep a straight face,’ she admitted. ‘When I was a bad guy, I used to have to keep a straight face all the time, even when stuff was funny.

‘I find that when I’m a good guy I can just laugh things off and it doesn’t really break character that much.’

Alexa also snubbed any mention of a match and feud between the pair, insisting she doesn’t see the real life best friends going separate ways any time soon.

‘Well, yeah when I was first paired with Nikki everyone was like, “Oh no, poor Nikki, she’s gonna turn on her”. Then it became this misfit amazing dynamic tag team,’ she said.

‘No one thought anything of it and it just somehow worked. I’m having a lot of fun with it, and I know Nikki’s having a lot of fun with it, so we’re gonna keep it going for as long as we can.’

Westworld fans have uncovered two new trailers previously kept secret as part of a virtual reality game online that teases a growing relationship between Dolores and Caleb.

Basically, think of it as a rom-com just with more murderous robots.

In anticipation of season three – which drops next month – HBO launched a bespoke online game where players could interact with the human world that lies outside the titular parks.

Fans initially discovered one trailer when the game first appeared earlier this month, but now those tech-savvy wizzes have found two more.

The first clip heavily plays up the relationship between main character Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and new boy Caleb (Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul).

What could it mean? What connections do the two share? And why is the trailer itself framed as a rom-com?

Will there be some inter-species romance going on in the third series?

‘I’ve been keeping an eye on you,’ Dolores tell him. ‘You’re the one I’ve been waiting for.

‘I’m working on something big and I think you can help.’

Caleb asks her: ‘What are you going to do?’

And her answer is simple, really: ‘Start a revolution.’

Sadly, however, it seems the soppy bubble soon bursts as the second new trailer fans found seems to find Dolores intentionally manipulating Caleb as Maeve (Thandie Newton) is hired to kill her.

These robots just can’t catch a break.

The new season will be taking a different twist as it leaves the parks behind as Dolores (Wood), a newly-converted Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson) and Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) escape to the human world following their successful revolution in the Westworld complex.

HBO revealed a new poster for the next run featuring a skin-free robot sinking into sand with a desolate city skyline in the background.

And the poster is captioned: ‘Free will is not free.’

Some fans predicted an absolute riot or, as Dolores more accurately says…a revolution.

Westworld returns to Sky Atlantic on 16 March and will be simulcast with HBO in the US.

Love Is Blind dropped on Netflix earlier this month, and ever since those opening credits, it’s all anyone has been able to talk about.

If you’ve been living under a rock, or just not ready to fall hard for another dating show while Love Island was still on, you’re seriously missing out.

The 10-part series, presented by Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa, follows a group of singletons who agree to take part in an experiment to determine whether love is actually ‘blind’ or not.

They do this by having a string of dates in a ‘pod’ where they speak to anonymous love matches through a wall, before falling madly in love and proposing to the person they’ve found a connection with.

It’s only once they’ve got down on one knee that they meet for the first time, and are jetted straight off on a luxury pre-wedding honeymoon, after which they move in together and plan their nuptials.

Ahead of their (un)happy day, here’s a look back at the wildest Love Is Blind scenes so far.

Cameron proposing to Lauren in the first episode

The very first episode of Love Is Blind gifted us with some incredible moments – but none more ridiculous than the first proposal of the show.

Cameron Reid and Lauren Speed wasted no time in dropping the L-bomb on each other, just hours after ‘meeting’. Seriously, we barely had time to learn everyone’s names, and these two are professing their undying, never-ending love for one another.

And things got even wilder when Cameron plonked down on one knee, deciding Lauren – someone he has never met before – was the woman he wanted to be with for the rest of his life.

We can’t even settle on an ice cream flavour in the time that he decided to pop the question, but undeterred, Lauren insisted she felt the same way. And, just like that, we had our very first Love Is Blind engagement.

Jessica going back to Mark after dumping him for Barnett

While Lauren and Cameron were convinced from the get-go that they loved only each other, Jessica Batten found herself torn between Mark Cuevas and Barnett – who was in a love square of his own with LC and Amber Pike.

Jessica pushed herself out of said triangle and decided to call things off with Mark because she had a better spark with Barnett. Unfortunately, she didn’t let Barnett know her thought process beforehand, and ended up being dumped by the man of her dreams very soon after.

Refusing to take the L and move on, she went running to Mark who gladly took her back, assuming the wobble meant she definitely felt the same way.

How wrong he might have been…

On their first night of freedom / post-pod life, Giannina and Damian had the most romantic dinner to kick-start their life together – when Gigi decided to not-so-subtly bring up sex.

‘I’m just telling you, it’s been 435 days…,’ she let slip.

‘Day 325, I went to the beach so I can remember how it feels to have my ass smacked, right? By the waves. Because it’s been a while.’

Bragging about their love life to the girls soon after, she confessed: ‘Let’s just say, I was at day 398 and now I’m at day… [zero].’

Ermmmm, that maths isn’t quite adding up, hun.

Diamond v Carlton

Diamond and Carlton took their time in the pods, refusing to jump into any rash decisions like their podmates. In fact, they got engaged 10 days after their first ‘date’ – basically an eternity compared to some of the others.

However, things fell apart between the pair shortly after they jetted to Mexico – when Carlton opened up about his relationship history, explaining he is bisexual.

Diamond revealed that she ‘needed time to think’ about their romance, but it wasn’t to last and the pair had a huge row the following day – with the 28-year-old furiously handing back her engagement ring before quoting Beyonce lyrics and leaving the hotel solo.

Jessica really hasn’t been having the best time of it on the show, after being dumped by Barnett and having to grovel to Mark.

But, while she was having a serious conversation with her groom-to-be over exactly where they saw their future together – because of the 10-year age-gap – viewers were a little more preoccupied at the fact she happened to be sharing her very big glass of wine – with her dog.

Yes, seriously.

We’ll share a lot with our pets – food and cuddles topping the list – but there is absolutely no way we’re divvying up our wine…

Jessica telling Mark how fit she thinks Barnett is

Jessica truly is the gift that Netflix keeps on giving, and we’re utterly obsessed. One episode saw the gang reunite to celebrate Barnett’s birthday, which went about as well as you’d expect.

A few too many wines (not shared with the dog) later and she decided then was the best time to have a deep and meaningful chat about their feelings. In the middle of his birthday party.

A chaotic QUEEN if ever we needed one.

Not complete with basically throwing a flame all over his big day, she then has a row with Mark who was trying to throw her a compliment. All he said was that Gigi is a close second compared to her, but boozed-up Jessica took this the wrong way and let slip that she finds Barnett really, really fit.

A normally very composed Mark was having none of it and decided to sleep on the sofa instead. Fair enough.

The Love Is Blind men are seriously eager to please anyone in their bride-to-be’s life, and Cameron is the perfect example of this.

Flailing a little when under the pressure of meeting Lauren’s mum, he decided the best thing to do was to whip out his rapping skills.

Some discuss politics, some namedrop random celebrities they once queued next to in a Starbucks about 12 years ago… Cameron chose to channel his inner Kanye West.

And yes, it really was as cringe as it sounds.

Gigi and Damian’s row about sex

Gigi and Damian are arguably the most volatile couple to make it out of the pods, and seem to argue about every tiny little thing.

The most insane row has to be when they were in a stand-off in separate rooms – perhaps to recreate their simpler pod relationship – when Gigi dropped a bombshell over their sex life.

‘You know how you tell me this is the best sex of your life?,’ she yelled at him while standing in the kitchen with her hands folded.

‘Have you noticed that I don’t return the compliment? I don’t say it’s the best sex of my life, too…

‘Why don’t you initiate it? Why don’t you seduce me, even though I jump on you every freaking second? Why don’t you just look at me and take it. I do not understand. Why can’t you just seduce me?’

It’s fair to say, Damian got the message soon after…

Damian’s parents blank Gigi

While Damian might have signed up to fall in love on a reality TV show, it turns out his parents absolutely did not.

So, while the rest of the Netflix stars were out meeting their potential in-laws, Damian’s family decided they wanted nothing to do with it, refusing to meet Giannina on screen.

Unfortunately, this unfolded when Gigi was already on her way to see them, leading to another very awkward row in a random car park.

She didn’t seem all that fussed about the drama, spending more time concentrating on getting her mascara just right.

Amber Pike is a true Love Is Blind HERO, purely down to her devotion towards Barnett, a man she has known for about a month. At her bachelorette party, she couldn’t quite contain herself, breaking down in sobs over her impending nuptials.

After having chained as much prosecco as possible, she cried to the camera, telling us all: ‘I’m about to get married. Oh my God. I’m marrying my best friend.

‘I’m getting married to my best friend and I love him and I’m so lucky. It’s huge and I’m so lucky and thankful. I’m also really drunk.’

Never, ever change.

And if the last nine episodes haven’t been enough of a rollercoaster, it’s only about to get worst as the finale sees all five couples ready to seal their fate on their wedding day.

But it doesn’t go without a hitch, as the trailer shows a woman in a wedding dress, running for her life outside – before falling flat on her face in the mud.

While we’re totally none-the-wiser over who decides to take the plunge, we do know that two couples are no longer following each other on Instagram, meaning there are some awkward moments about to go down.

And we cannot wait.

The internet might be a terrible place sometimes, but this week Taika Waititi has single-handedly brightened up everyone’s lives with some glorious photos of himself napping.

It’s the small things, right?

The JoJo Rabbit director stumbled upon a Twitter thread dedicated to photos of himself catching up on his beauty sleep, thereby giving us one of the internet’s greatest gifts.

The thread, which has been aptly dubbed Taika Naptiti, celebrates all of the director’s naps – and best believe there’s a lot of them.

From snaps of him napping on set and dozing in character, to nodding off on couches and in the most unlikely of spots, it’s a glorious sight to behold.

‘Finally! A place where all the photos can live,’ the 44-year-old said in response to the thread. ‘There are more out there too. People with Taika sleeping photos must come forward. This is a safe space.’

His pal and Avengers star Mark Ruffalo answered the call, sharing a string of photos which helpfully illustrate the different stages of the nap. It’s important information.

‘On Twitter, @taikawaititi said people with Taika sleeping pictures must come forward and I am here to deliver,’ the Bruce Banner actor declared.

‘1. Taika taking a 2 minute nap on the red carpet.⁣ 2. A rare photo of Taika just before he naps.⁣ 3. Full-fledged nap mode 💤 ⁣4. An even rarer photo of Taika not sleeping.’

Good work all round Ruffalo, 10/10 for effort.

Fans have also been sharing some of Taika Naptiti’s greatest hits, with that one nap he took with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston being a firm favourite. It’s a classic, after all.

‘Oh to nap on one couch with chris hemsworth, tom hiddleston, and taika waititi,’ one said, with another adding: ‘I want someone to love me like taika waititi loves taking naps.’

One more said: ‘I’m convinced that every time @TaikaWaititi walks into a room he immediately scans it and thinks “I could nap there [armchair emoji] … I could nap there [sofa emoji] … I could nap there [toilet emoji]…”‘

The king of naps truly knows no bounds.

Taika has definitely earned his naps, after recently winning the best adapted screenplay Oscar for his movie JoJo Rabbit, which made him the first Indigenous person to ever receive an Academy Award.

The star gave an incredible acceptance speech, thanking his mum and the producers of Jojo Rabbit, before joking that he had more people to thank but he’d forgotten them, instead concluding: ‘I dedicate this to all the indigenous kids in the world who want to do art and dance and write stories. We are the original storytellers and we can make it here as well.’

However, in the winners room, Taika had a different reason for not thanking his friends, agents and co-stars.

He said that he told those close to him: ‘If I have to go up, I’m not going to thank you. Why should I? I did all the typing. No one else did it. And all the words came from my head. So why am I gonna thank my lawyer for that?’

Valid point.

During the ceremony, Captain Marvel star Brie Larson also caught him inexplicably slipping his trophy under the seat in front of him to keep it safe.

Maybe he thought it needed a nap too?

Game of Thrones may have aired for eight seasons, but in that time it left a lot of characters in the dust.

Even though we know what happened to Jon Snow (Kit Harington), his sisters Arya and Sansa Stark (Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner) as well as, sadly, the fate of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) Thrones kept such a sprawling cast list at times that it was inevitable that some would get left behind.

Among the many complaints against season eight, it was the countless plot holes and questions that remained unanswered, but spare a thought for these guys, who literally just got written out for no rhyme or reason.

1. Jaqen H’ghar

Jaqen H’ghar (Tom Wlaschiha) was one riddle the show never quite got around to solving.

First unveiled as a member of the Faceless Men, Arya’s journey to becoming a member of the guild lead her to be appointed as Jaqen’s apprentice in the House of Black and White.

But we never quite knew where Jaqen stood…or who he even really was. In fact, there seemed to be two Jaquen’s; the first Arya met on the road in Westeros as a prisoner, the second as the de facto head of the Faceless Men in Braavos. Not that we ever got to the heart of the enigma as once Arya left Braavos to rejoin her family, Jaqen was left behind too.

As usual, George RR Martin’s source novels of A Song of Ice and Fire still have Jaqen around. He’s currently in the Citadel helping a just-arrived Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) on his quest for knowledge.

2. Quaithe

No doubt a striking character, Quaithe (Laura Pradelska) embodied that age-old fantasy trope; a creepy, beautiful woman with knowledge of our character’s secrets.

An inhabitant of Quarth, the masked mystery woman approached Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) and offered him some advice about Daenerys and her dragons.

Much like Jaqen, when the show’s narrative for the Dragon Queen shifted away from Qarth, Quaithe was left in the dust, but she has a much more interesting time of it in the books, frequently appearing in visions to Dany. There’s also a reader conspiracy to figure out just who is behind the mask – something we never got to see in the show itself.

3. Daario Naharis

Oh, Daario (Michiel Huisman).

A storied warrior in the swords-for-hire the Second Sons, Daario quickly joins Dany’s cause in Essos (and becomes her lover) but is left behind as her Regent in the Bay of Dragons when her ambitions for the Iron Throne take her across the sea.

Daario is then never mentioned again…despite the fact that he has access to both funds and armies that could have been very useful to Dany’s crusade.

4. Kinvara

A Red Priestess just like Melisandre, Kinvara (Ania Bukstein) made a singular, but very impressive, appearance in the show during its sixth season.

Kinvara is the Head Priestess of Volantis, and appears to pay a visit to her queen, but gets sidetracked with Varys (Conleth Hill).

The woman then goes on to reveal some scintillating details about Varys’ past when he was made an eunuch by a twisted sorcerer looking to speak to the devil.

This would have been a great addition to the tale and another layer to the eunuch’s complicated character motivations…yet she disappeared without a trace.

5. Ilyn Payne

Ilyn was noticeably one of the first people Arya Stark added to her ‘list.’

Sadly, however, the actor was diagnosed with cancer so was written out of the show after series two. Famously, though, he bounced back from his initial diagnosis and is still alive and well today, meaning a return to Thrones was certainly a possibility, just one that never came to fruition.

Not only that, but Arya was denied the opportunity to tick another name off her list…

6. Illyrio Mopatis

He even kickstarted one of the main narratives of the show – marrying the younger Targaryen off to Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) in the hopes that he would gift Viserys (Harry Lloyd) his army.

Of course, it didn’t quite work out like that, but still, Illyrio did send Dany off on the path that would lead her (for a good hour or so at least) to the Iron Throne.

Considering his connections to both the Targaryen’s and Varys’ networks of spies in Kings Landing, we find it surprising we never caught up with Illyrio to see what he thought of the fruits of his labor.

Top Boy’s Micheal Ward has teased the script for season two following Drake’s announcement that the show would be returning to Netflix.

At the start of the year, the rapper decided to give us all one last Christmas gift by revealing the series’ renewal.

And now, the cast are bursting at the seams with excitement – so much so that the Jamie star has dropped the title of the first episode.

Taking to Instagram, the 21-year-old shared a picture of the script with the word: ‘Killing No Murder’ scrawled across the front.

In the caption he wrote: ‘If you don’t know, now you knowwwww……………’

The actor continued: ‘So happy I can finally share with you that we’ve been confirmed for another season and I cannot wait to start filming this for all of us.

‘This is gonna be even more special than the first.’

His post comes just weeks after Drake let slip that the popular series would be making its grand return.

The God’s Plan rapper, who was integral in bringing the notorious crime drama back into our lives, confirmed the news in a comment posted on GRM Daily’s Instagram page.

Celebrating the show’s success, the account asked whether we’ll be seeing another chapter this year, and Drake replied: ‘Of course.’

The 33-year-old helped bring Top Boy back in 2019, six years after it last aired on Channel 4.

The 10-part series saw Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson reprise their roles as Dushane and Sully, with the likes of Dave and Lil Simz also joining the cast.

Back in November, Top Boy star Ashley told Metro.co.uk that the crew was already working on a script.

‘We haven’t had the actual green light yet but it’s looking promising,’ he said: ‘In preparation for that we’ve already been working out storylines and writing so it’s looking good.

‘Obviously I won’t give anything away but it’s looking dope and we’re all looking forward to going again with the show.’

Top Boy is available to watch now on Netflix.

Sandra Bullock has been spotted filming scenes for her upcoming as yet untitled movie in Canada, and it looks like she was letting someone know exactly what she thought of them.

The actor, 55, was shooting scenes outside a store, where she was seen carrying a cup of coffee before flipping the bird to someone just out of shot.

And it was just a single one-finger salute – it was with both hands to ensure the message really got across to the recipient. Nice.

The unnamed Netflix thriller will also star Viola Davis, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Richard Thomas, Linda Emond and Emma Nelson.

Nora Fingscheidt will direct, while Graham King will produce the movie from a script written by Mission: Impossible – Fallout’s Christopher McQuarrie.

Sandra and her Fortis Films company will also co-produce the title alongside Veronica Ferres for Construction Film.

The upcoming film follows on from the enormous success of the last Netflix thriller Sandra starred in, Bird Box, which was watched by almost 26million viewers in the first seven days after it was released.

So far, what we know about Sandra’s character, named Ruth Slater, is that she has been released from prison after serving time for a violent crime, but is finding it hard to be accepted by society.

She is faced with severe judgement frim her former friends and people she knew, and thinks her only hope for redemption is to find her estranged younger sister who she was forced to leave behind.

Filming is currently taking place in Vancouver, Canada, and it looks like we can prepare for some pretty intense confrontations judging by these first pictures.

The film has been in the works since 2013, with Sandra signing up to take part in November 2019, ahead of filming beginning this month.

There is currently no news on a release date or a title for the movie, aside from that it will be available on Netflix.

Actor Ben Cooper has died at the age of 86, his nephew has announced.

The actor died on Monday in Memphis, Tennesee.

Cooper’s nephew Peter Searls confirmed his uncle’s passing to The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor’s death came after a long illness, as he reportedly suffered from dementia in the years before his death. The Arizona Raiders actor is said to have been living at a memory care facility in Memphis.

Cooper was best known for his role as Turkey Ralston in Johnny Guitar, which also starred Joan Crawford.

He also appeared in 1963’s Gunfight at Comanche Creek opposite Audie Murphie, as well as Duel at Apache Wells in 1957, and both Support Your Local Gunfighter and One More Train To Rob in 1971.

Best known for appearing in westerns, he told an interview for the Museum of Western Film History thathe used to practice his ‘fast draw’ for 90 minutes a day for years to perfect it.

Cooper acted in Gunsmoke three times and TV shows L.A. Law, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Dallas and The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo.

He survived by his daughter Pamela, and his sister Bunny.

The creator of gaming’s most famous cheat code has passed away, as the video game world remembers the iconic hack.

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start. If you’ve ever entered that sequence in a video game, or noticed it being referenced in a movie or on a T-shirt, then it’s all due to a Konami developer named Kazuhisa Hashimoto.

Hashimoto had a long and illustrious career at Konami, but the code’s creation dates back to his work creating the 1986 NES version of arcade classic Gradius (aka Nemesis).

The conversion was much admired, but Hashimoto found the game too difficult and so added the code so that he could beat it.

In Gradius the code instantly activates most of the available power-ups but its function in other games can range from extra lives (as in Contra) to a joke message saying it doesn’t work (in Castlevania spin-off Kid Dracula).

The code has also turned up in more modern games, most notably the Metal Gear Solid series, as well as games that have nothing to do with Konami, ranging from Rocket League to Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Meanwhile, a variation of the code is used to reset Netflix on many devices, it’s a plot point in the Disney film Wreck-It Ralph, and it became an Easter egg on the 2016 Marks & Spencer Christmas food website.

As translated by GlitterBerri in 2003, Hashimoto said: ‘I had one guy under me, and he played through the coin-op version [of Gradius]. That one’s really tough. I hadn’t played that much and obviously couldn’t beat it myself, so I put in the Konami Code!’

The news of Hashimoto’s death came from composer, and one-time Konami employee, Yuji Takenouchi on Twitter, with many Japanese developers now taking to social media to express their sadness at his passing.

Sophie Kasaei thought she’d found the one, but was left more ‘heartbroken’ than she’s ever been when she found herself unexpectedly single after just turning 30.

It was a milestone birthday that she thought was going to bring her another huge moment in her life, an engagement.

Sophie had been happily loved-up with ex-boyfriend Jay Bigz, but her happy ever after came crashing down around her when they split in July last year, after he decided he ‘wasn’t happy’ in the relationship anymore.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Sophie admits she didn’t see the split coming, especially as she had planned out her life with Jay.

‘Going through a break up at this age, it’s hard. When you meet someone now, you have it all planned [out], and when it turns to sh*t… well, that’s why I think I was so heartbroken because I’d planned everything,’ she said.

In the months that followed her break up, Sophie kept herself distracted with a stint in the Ex On The Beach villa and she’s now joined the cast of MTV’s Geordie OGs.

Season two will see her reunite with Geordie Shore originals Holly Hagan, Marnie Simpson, Gaz Beadle and Aaron Chalmers.

But, she’s found herself in a very different position to them all.

Holly’s engaged and planning her wedding in Ibiza and Gary pops the question to girlfriend Emma McVey after welcoming baby number two.

Marnie is getting used to motherhood after giving birth to baby boy Rox and Aaron is preparing to become a dad for the first time.

While she was worried that she wouldn’t have a place on the show because she’s not quite settling down, Sophie says that, actually, she’s ‘content’ with where she’s at in life at the moment.

And now she’s hoping other girls who find themselves in a similar situation will be able to relate to her.

She said: ‘I was a bit like, “oh god everyone is having kids, people are going to be like what’s Sophie doing with her life?” but you know what, it’s relatable.

‘I’ve just turned 30, don’t get us wrong I didn’t plan this, I was hoping to be settled by 26, but life throws things at you and you’ve just got to take it on the chin and roll with it.’

‘I’d love to have a baby and be settled,’ Sophie confessed.

‘But at the same time, I am quite content with my life. For some reason, I’ve had to be single at 30, moving out and living on my own, but I finally feel like I know myself a lot more than when I was younger.’

And not ruling out finding love again, Sophie continued: ‘I’m sure of myself, I know what I want in a man, I know what I want in life… when you feel like that, someone will come along.

Geordie OGs will see Sophie putting her days of tearing up the toon and partying in the Geordie Shore house behind her, as she moves forward with channelling her independence and setting up her own business.

The reality star quit Geordie Shore in May 2019, after re-joining the show as a series regular in 2016.

She decided to leave out of respect for ex-boyfriend Jay, when her Australian ex Alex rocked up and joined the show, because she felt it was the ‘right thing’ to do to put her romance first.

Excited to finally be showing a different side to her on Geordie OGs, Sophie said: ‘To be a part [of the show] was just so exciting. It was the first time in all these years that I can show me, what I do and my personality.

‘Usually I’m just in Geordie Shore partying, people don’t really see us having normal conversations about life. This will show us in a different light.’

Geordie OGs premieres on Wednesday 26 February at 9pm on MTV.

‘That doesn’t have to mean with someone. It can also mean with myself,’ she explained. ‘It just feels incredible when you’re not alone, when you’re facing the world with someone else.’

She later added that she no longer feels the need to be ‘secretive’ over their relationship, and is ‘proud’ of the love they have for each other.

‘I don’t want to be so secretive that people think I’m ashamed of anything. But I’ve never been in a relationship where things are so public, or where I posted pictures of someone else. This seemed different.

‘We had gotten to the point where we had kept it a secret, or at least not wanted attention, and now I feel like I’m not going to be proud.’

Ayda Field has given us a cheeky glimpse into her life with husband Robbie Williams with a snap of him standing in his birthday suit.

The 40-year-old took to Instagram to show fans Robbie’s tush as he stood in front of the TV and blocked the view.

Don’t worry, he’s turned away from the camera.

Looks like that door needs fixing, it’s got a crack in it.

Little does Ayda know, though, that Robbie Williams actually won Rear of the Year in 1999 with Denise Van Outen.

The 1997 title actually went to his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow as well as Melinda Messenger.

One fan asked what we were all wondering: ‘What’s the tattoo on his lower back??? I tried to zoom in, but didn’t work.’

‘The woman on the tv has a good view,’ another joked.

Ayda’s posterior post comes after the couple welcomed their fourth child via the pair’s ‘incredible’ surrogate.

The duo has named the new addition to their family Beau Benedict Enthoven Williams, with Ayda announcing the happy news on Instagram.

Sharing a snap of their four kids’ pairs of feet, she wrote: ‘”Spot the difference…” On this Valentine’s Day, we would like to celebrate love in the most awesome way… Beau Benedict Enthoven Williams.

‘As with Coco, he is biologically ours, but born via our same incredible surrogate.

‘We are so blessed to have our healthy son safely in our arms and are officially complete as a family ❤️❤️❤️ #happyvalentinesday #surprise #familyof6 #whodathunkitinthe90s The Williams Family xx’.

So sweet – especially as the announcement comes the day after Robbie’s 46th birthday.

Robbie and Ayda’s daughter Coco, who was also born via their surrogate, was kept a secret until her arrival last September.

Phillip Schofield was left in stitches after one This Morning viewer noticed an error during Steve Harley’s performance on Wednesday’s show.

The ITV host admitted the performance was a ‘highlight’ of his career as Steve sang his hit song Make Me Smile.

However, things didn’t go quite to plan after one fan shared the performance online with the live subtitles – and something just didn’t look right.

In the song, Steve sang: ‘Come up and see me, to make me smile.

‘Or do what you want, run on wild.’

But one eagle-eyed viewer who just happened to have the subtitles on at the time shared a screenshot of what lyrics came up on the screen.

Along with the screenshot, they tweeted: ‘Been singing the lyrics wrong all these years.’

The subtitles read: ‘Come up and see me, Pakistan me smile.’

Phillip saw the funny side of it as he retweeted the photo to his 4.5million followers.

Along with a few laughing-face emojis he exclaimed: ‘Wtf…mind you, they do have to type very quickly.’

The moment also appeared to be a highlight for Steve as he shared a photo of the duo to his Twitter.

‘With Phillip Schofield, This Morning, what a pleasure @schofe,’ he told his followers.

Luckily viewers also found the mishap funny as they responded on social media.

One tweeted: ‘Subtitles do make me laugh! Face with tears of joy. They seem to be getting crazier. Rolling on the floor laughing. Confusing for people who rely on them though.’

Another commented: ‘That’s more than some typo pmsl!!!!’

A third added: ‘Oh wow, that’s hilarious! Rolling on the floor laughing.’

Speaking on Charlamagne Tha God’s YouTube series, Pete said he didn’t think it was fair for Kaia to take on his ‘issues’ and the break up happened just before he went to rehab.

‘We were dating for a few months,’ Pete said.

‘She’s very young and I’m f**king going through a lot… [the split] was before I went to rehab.’

‘She should be having fun, she shouldn’t have to worry about some dud that just has issues and sh*t,’ Pete claimed.

‘She should be enjoying her work… it just wasn’t the right place or time at all.’

Laura Whitmore enjoyed some well deserved down time after the final of the winter series of Love Island.

The host, fronting her first ever series of the dating show, crowned islanders Paige Turley and Finley Tapp the winners on Sunday night.

Now her work is officially done, she and boyfriend Iain Stirling spent some extra time in South Africa to soak up the sun and take in the sights.

Laura shared snaps on Instagram of how her holiday is going, as she spent time strolling through at Delare Graff Estate.

She looked gorgeous and relaxed in a loose green dress as she jokingly twirled around the vineyard.

In another photo she posed for the ‘gram, closing her eyes and running a hand into her long blonde hair.

The Love Island final was an emotional one for Laura, as she paid tribute to former host and friend Caroline Flack after the TV star took her own life.

Thanking this year’s finalists – Paige, Finley, Luke M, Demi Jones, Luke T, Siannise Fudge, Ched Uzor and Jess Gale – she said the islanders helped her get through the last couple of weeks ‘more than they’ll ever know’.

After being forced to sit out two days of the intense Sports Relief desert Trek in the Namib Desert, Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw has returned to play.

Yesterday the DJ was ‘gutted’ not to be taking part in the cycle challenge with the rest of the team, but after taking the medical team’s advice he explained his ‘body needs to recover’ following a bout of exhaustion.

The 35-year-old got pulled by the medic just two kilometers from the finish line.

After taking some time to rest, and a thorough medical assessment from support crew on the ground, Grimmy was able to reunite with his celebrity teammates on Wednesday’s gruelling challenge – which involved a 100-mile trek across the tough terrain by bike, foot and ski.

And doesn’t it look simply backbreaking, seeing the likes of Frankie Bridge take on some of the highest sand dunes in the world with a pair of walking sticks for stability? Snaps for all involved, we say.

Luckily Grimmy is raring to go after being cleared to continue for the penultimate day of the expedition and, along with his teammates, will scale 19 of the highest sand dunes in temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celcius.

Halfway through the skiing challenge on Wednesday, BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin said: ‘There’s hardly any shadow at all and it’s only 10 O’clock in the morning.

‘I’m looking across miles and miles of the world’s biggest sand dunes and they are so high. We’re taking on 19 of them today.

‘We’ve been talking a lot about why we’re doing it and we’ve all individually got a reason that we’re doing it.

‘It’s hard. It’s relentless. But it’s utterly incredible being in the middle of nowhere in such a beautiful place.’

While Channel 4 journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy said that ‘it’s been absolutely horrific’ so far.

He added: ‘It’s been far more shocking than any of us thought it would be.

‘It’s been genuinely really difficult. Everything is 10 times harder because of the heat. But it is utterly stunning at the top of the dunes. You need to stop and take it in.’

Former Saturdays singer Frankie said she finds it easier to take part in the trek in the early morning, even though ‘by 8.30am it’s already roasting’.

She added: ‘I just want to get as far as I can, in my own time and at my own pace. I did have a moment arriving in camp last night when I thought, this is just amazing. I’ve surprised myself today.

‘I really hope my experience in the desert shows people with mental health issues that you can still do the things you want to do.

‘There have been times that I’ve wanted to give up but I’ve somehow managed to push through.’

Over four days, from Monday to Thursday this week, the team will attempt to cross the Namib Desert by foot, bike and ski to reach the Eduard Bohlen shipwreck on the notorious Skeleton Coast.

Guided by their own navigation skills, they are facing exhausting days in the blistering sun as they take on the highest sand dunes on earth and encounter deadly desert wildlife as they cross the world’s oldest desert – all in sweltering heat.

An hour-long documentary will chart the highs and lows (both physical and emotional) of the team as they tackle the challenge for Sport Relief and will be shown on BBC One with BBC Breakfast, The One Show and BBC Radio 5Live all tracking the team’s progress next week.

Each day they will follow the group’s ups and downs as they tackle this 100-mile desert challenge of a lifetime, with footage straight from Namibia and daily catch ups as the team take on this epic adventure.

Their efforts in the Namib Desert will be broadcast in an hour-long Sport Relief documentary on Wednesday 11 March at 8pm on BBC One.

The BBC are shaking up their TV schedule in order to fit in an emergency coronavirus special.

Instead of airing Inside Out, the network have gathered a panel of experts and BBC reporters from across the globe to answer vital questions in regards to the spreading illness.

BBC confirmed the half-hour show will air on Monday night at 7.30pm, and will dish up general health advice as well as travel guidelines for those planning on going abroad.

Radio Times has also reported specialists will warn viewers over a potential outbreak at their workplace, especially after Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow recently put himself into isolation.

Over the past week, the UK has been struck by the disease after a Chinese national was diagnosed in London.

Since then, two schools have closed following the holidays, while offices in Canary Wharf have been put on locked down over coronavirus fears.

American oil firm Chevron advised its 300-strong workforce to work remotely after an employee reported flu symptoms on their return from a country infected by the deadly bug.

In a statement, a company spokesperson said: ‘Chevron continues to monitor the situation very closely, utilizing the guidance of international and local health authorities.

‘Our primary concern is the health and safety of our employees and we are taking precautionary measures to reduce their risk of exposure.’

According to reports seen by The Sun, the government’s ‘worst-case’ plans predict 80 per cent of Brits could become infected, of which two per cent – 500,000 people – could die.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said official advice has been changed to say people who have been to anywhere in Italy north of Pisa should self-isolate if they develop flu-like symptoms on their return to the UK.

Experts have been appearing across a range of TV shows, including This Morning where they have served up advice to viewers.

Both Dr Simon Clarke and Simon Calder recently reassured viewers at home that there’s nothing to be concerned over for now, however, they did admit that wearing a mask is basically pointless.

‘Would you wear a mask through the airport?’ Holly Willoughby asked, hoping to comfort people in the idea they can do something to prevent catching the illness.

But, Dr Clarke quipped: ‘No, masks are pretty useless,’ before explaining: ‘The pores and the fibers in them are too big for the virus.

‘The virus is smaller than the wavelength of light, they will just pass straight through them, they will infect you by your eyes potentially.’
