Ulrika Jonsson has praised the NHS after her daughter was tested for coronavirus.
The former Gladiators host assured her followers that ‘everything is fine’, but that her eldest daughter Bo was rushed to hospital after coming down with flu-like symptoms.
Symptoms of COVID-19, or coronavirus, can include coughs, fever and breathing difficulties.
So far, 15 patients in the UK have tested positive for coronavirus, with over 80,000 cases confirmed worldwide.
Ulrika, 52, posted a picture of a port attached to Bo’s arm in hospital, and explained the ordeal on Instagram.
She wrote: ‘EVERYTHING IS FINE. But yesterday was fraught with anxiety and exhaustion.
‘Oldest Female Ungrateful had come home from Uni full of flu-like symptoms and painful chest.

‘Wasn’t allowed to go to Dr’s. 111 sent an ambulance to get her (very calmly) and took her to A&E where Corona had to be ruled out in isolation and investigations pursued due to her cardiac defect.
‘She was ridiculously brave – despite the distress it was causing her. Finally given the all clear.’
Ulrika continued: ‘Mamma is so proud and relieved.
‘And will be eternally grateful to our amazing #nhs which is always there when you need it and has been saving her life since before she was born.
‘(Huge thanks to the 3 wonderful paramedics who treated her with such care and respect. And were sweet with our doggies. I bow to thee). #nhs #cardiacdefect.’
Bo was born with a heart defect (Picture: Instagram)
Bo was born with double inlet left ventricle defect, a congenital defect that affects the valves and chambers of the heart.
As a baby, she had to undergo life-saving surgery on her heart.
Ulrika previously wrote for Hello!: ‘The first years of her life were terrifying and volatile. Together, we walked a tightrope between life and death as she endured one closed- and two open-heart surgeries by the time she was three.
‘As a mother, I carried the knowledge, fear and terror in my head that no matter how brilliant the advancement of medicine, no one knew how long she might live. Or even if.’
Bo’s biological father is Markus Kempen, who left Ulrika the day that she and Bo were discharged from hospital after her birth and first surgery.
However, in 2014, she was adopted by Ulrika’s then-partner Brian Monet, who is also the father of Ulrika’s youngest son, Malcolm, 11.
Ulrika is also mum to Cameron, 25, with ex-husband John Turnbull, and Martha, 15, from her marriage to Lance Gerrard-Wright.

Russian player Maria, 32, revealed she was hanging up her racket for good in a statement released to Vogue and Vanity Fair, after spending more than 28 years of her life playing.
But when one door closes, another opens – and bookmakers reckon she could be heading onto the dancefloor.
Ladbrokes have placed her participation on the upcoming series of the dancing favourite at 2/1, with their rivals Coral also slashing their odds to 3/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: ‘Strictly chiefs could serve up the best line-up ever this year with Sharapova potentially taking part in the show if the latest odds are anything to go by.’
Coral also isn’t ruling out another rival show though snapping her up before Strictly does – putting her more likely to head to the US for a stint on their version of the show, Dancing With The Stars, at 2/1 odds.
Maria announced her retirement from tennis on 26 February (Picture: Getty Images)
I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here when it returns in November was also an option, coming in at a slightly less likely 5/1.
‘Maria Sharapova has had a fantastic tennis career and now she has put her racket away, punters are backing her to showcase her skills on the dance floor on Strictly later this year,’ said Coral’s John Hill.
‘The former Australian Open winner may also fancy a trip Down Under to the I’m A Celeb jungle where she would be a big signing for the show.’
Maria says she’s looking for her next competition. (Picture: Getty Images)
Maria’s impressive career saw her ranked the number one player in the world, winning Wimbledon aged 17, winning five Grand Slam titles, and winning huge tournaments including the Australian, French and US Opens.
‘In giving my life to tennis, tennis gave me a life. I’ll miss it every day,’ she wrote in her goodbye post, announcing her intention to leave the game. ‘I’ll miss the training and my daily routine: Waking up at dawn, lacing my left shoe before my right, and closing the court’s gate before I hit my first ball of the day. I’ll miss my team, my coaches.
‘I’ll miss the moments sitting with my father on the practice court bench. The handshakes—win or lose—and the athletes, whether they knew it or not, who pushed me to be my best.’
‘Looking back now, I realize that tennis has been my mountain. My path has been filled with valleys and detours, but the views from its peak were incredible,’ she said.
.
Continuing, Maria explained: ‘After 28 years and five Grand Slam titles, though, I’m ready to scale another mountain—to compete on a different type of terrain.
‘That relentless chase for victories, though? That won’t ever diminish. No matter what lies ahead, I will apply the same focus, the same work ethic, and all of the lessons I’ve learned along the way.’
Strictly Come Dancing returns later this year on BBC One.

True crime series The Lady Killers airs the chilling moment a wife who abused her husband for 10 years brushed off his injuries and her treatment of him as ‘banter’ despite them causing his death.
Hannegret Donnelly was convicted of the murder of her husband, Christopher Donnelly, in March 2018, after calling in the police herself to their Buckinghamshire home.
When they arrived, Christopher had already been dead for 12 hours, and was found on the bathroom floor with 78 external injuries, which included neck and spine fractures.
Becoming known as the ‘Rolling Pin Killer’, Hannegret willingly went to the police station for questioning, where she brushed off abuse of both him and their children as in-jokes for everyone involved.
She’s seen laughing and brushing off his injuries, as she sickeningly tells police: ‘First of all I tried to sort things out with him in a bantering sort of way, like “if I hit you with a rolling pin maybe you’d come out of your trance”.’
‘I’d hit him a bit harder sometimes. As I said he never… it wasn’t that he fell and lost consciousness,’ she later added, also admitting to punching him on the nose.
Hannegret tried to justify her treatment of her husband as ‘banter’ (Picture: Thames Valley Police)
‘It was more like we had a chase around the kitchen table. Yeah, it’s just sometimes. We’d chase around the kitchen table in a light-hearted way.’
‘I like to be informed as to what is going on,’ she said. ‘I don’t like when people talk behind my back.’
She is now imprisoned after being charged with his murder, and jailed for life with a minimum term of 16 years.
In the documentary, former detective Clare Mackintosh reveals Christopher’s autopsy uncovered dozens of old scars and injuries that would’ve been created over years of abuse.
Hannegret is now in prison for Christopher’s murder (Picture: Handout)
‘He had a cauliflower ear, and a fracture to the cartilage in his voice box which was consistent with attempted strangulation,’ she tells the cameras.
The pathologist determined Christopher’s eventual death as pneumonia, aided by a failing immune system caused by years of systemic abuse.
It was then uncovered that the both Christopher and their children were subjected to ‘a dictatorship’ in the home, with the kids even being taught by her so they can live by her rule.
‘Hannegret created a household that almost like a separate land; it’s a land where she has absolute power,’ Forensic Psychologist Dr Donna Youngs says.
‘Like any territory under absolute dictatorial control, it’s one where she keeps a very firm hold on the infiltration of any external influences: there’s no technology allowed, the children are home schooled. It’s a psychological fortress.’
For Christopher, this also eventually meant he wasn’t allowed access to the medical care he desperately needed when he became ill.
The Lady Killers airs 10pm tonight on Quest Red.

Zayn Malik and Jake Paul have faced some drama (Picture: Getty)
Zayn Malik has proven he couldn’t care less about his recent run-in with Jake Paul, sharing a flashy snap from Las Vegas.
The Pillowtalk singer clearly enjoyed a relaxing stay in Nevada, breaking his silence after the drama to share a photo of him by the pool in his hotel.
Tweeting Zayn as they both celebrated Tyson Fury’s win against Deontay Wilder, Jake said: ‘Almost had to clap up zane [sic] from 1 direction because he is a little guy and has an attitude and basically told me to f*** off for no reason when I was being nice to him.
‘Zane ik you’re reading this… stop being angry cause u came home alone to ur big a** hotel room hahaha [sic].’
The 23-year-old continued: ‘Bro he literally started yelling and freaking the f*** out’, claiming that Zayn had yelled ‘“you wanna test me mate”’ at him.
Zayn’s girlfriend Gigi Hadid was quick with her brutal response, as she replied: ‘Lol cause he doesn’t care to hang w you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies ..? Home alone with his best friends like a respectful king cause he has me, sweetie.
‘Unbothered by your irrelevant ugly ass. Go to bed …’
Gigi was quick to stand up for her man (Picture: Twitter/GigiHadid)
Clearly regretting his actions, Jake later deleted his tweets, writing: ‘Someone needs to take my phone when i’m drunk because I am a f**king idiot’.
‘Gigi and Zayn got back together right before the holidays in December. Zayn has been reaching out to Gigi for the last month and she is giving him another chance,’ they told E! Online.
‘She has always loved him and the break between the two was needed. Zayn has been working on his past music and focusing on his health and is in a really good place currently.’
It seems Jake is fairly low down on the pair’s list of priorities right now.

One media outlet referred to her post as a ‘tale’, as though she was telling a little story, not revealing huge, personal trauma. Another referred to her ordeal as an ‘alleged’ experience rather than the truth.
It is never, ever funny to joke about rape or sexual violence. It exposes a lack of sympathy and understanding from these – predominantly male – trolls. Instead of treating rape with the gravity it requires, they continue to undermine and belittle it.
Yet, if it was one of their daughters, their mothers, their sisters, their brothers, I’m sure they wouldn’t feel the same way.
I was gang raped when I was 13 years old. My friend and I went out – her mum was away – and we both lied about where we were staying. I tried alcohol for the first and got very drunk as a result.
At some point during the night, two boys took us back to her mum’s empty flat. They both raped me in any way that they could.
Is this for real or some kind of joke?
No empathy No concern No trigger warning
Calling rape & abduction a âtaleâ @ReutersUK ??!!
It took me about 35 years to speak out about what happened to me. The perpetrators threatened to kill me if I told anyone, and I believed them, but the shame also kept me quiet. I thought that if people knew they would be disgusted or would look at me differently.
That shame never belonged to me, though – it belonged to the boys who raped me. 100 per cent of rapes are caused by rapists, but it took me many years to work these things out.
I first spoke about my rape in 2014. I was having therapy, my eldest daughter turned 13 and towards the end of a session my therapist commented that my attackers hadn’t been born rapists. Those words sent me on a journey of inquiry with a desire to understand.
I’ve been very lucky since – I’ve had amazing support and made amazing connections. People have told me that I am brave, and that what I am doing by talking openly is courageous, but I don’t want it to be brave. I want it to be normal that we can speak out about the difficult things that happen to us without being made fun of or facing backlash.
How does that help any survivor come out if people are ridiculed when they do? Responding with jokes will only protect the perpetrators and silence survivors.
Many survivors are further bound by the fear of not being believed – look at the case concerning Harvey Weinstein. It took numerous women to bring that man down; it should have taken just one. But we so rarely believe individuals when they speak up because of the blaming and shaming rape culture that has been allowed to breed online.
Rape culture permeates everything from the way we portray women to how we sexualise them and young children. It’s present in our music, ‘locker room’ chat and when young boys watch porn on their phones.
All it really amounts to is the degradation of women, and this seeps into our judicial system where convictions for rape and sexual violence are already desperately low.
We can’t be naive enough to think that when a jury sits down they haven’t already judged the woman sitting in front of them: ‘What does she expect, surely it’s her fault.’
So we have to challenge shaming, blaming and flippant language around sexual violence whenever and wherever we see it – like when a rape survivor’s account is described as a ‘tale’ instead of a hugely traumatic event in their life.
We need to start educating our children from a very young age about what respect is, what a healthy relationship is and what consent is – and this extends beyond sexual relationships.
There is no compassion, no kindness – perhaps because the trolls are unable to see that there is a human being on the other end of what they are doing.
It was the courage of other people speaking out that helped me find my voice and now I try to pay that forward: I go into schools and universities and show people I am not ashamed, this is who I am.
When people see me or any rape survivor speaking, and they see it’s really OK, it gives them hope. If they could share their story, they think, then I can share mine – not necessarily publicly but just with someone else.
I believe that when we as survivors don’t speak out, we hold ourselves back. There is a part of you that’s not alive, not connected into the rest of you.
Finding a way to be believed, to be heard – there’s nothing more powerful than that. Please let us do that.

Kathryn Winnick has got some big news (Picture: Getty Images / Instagram)
Vikings’ Katheryn Winnick is celebrating ‘big news’ with a huge bouquet of flowers – and girl, you have got our attention.
The 42-year-old is best known for the role of Lagertha in the History Channel hit.
However, after being killed off just weeks before the midseason finale, it seems as though the actress has landed another gig – that’s if her Instagram stories are anything to go by.
Taking to the social media platform, the star shared a video of stunning white and red roses as she teased her success.
‘Big news,’ the director wrote to her 4million followers as she told them: ‘Let’s start celebrating.’
At the bottom of her snap, she shared the words ‘stay tuned’ before thanking the mystery florist.
She told fans to stay tuned (Picture: Katheryn Winnick / Instagram)
Checking out her IMDB, Katheryn has three projects currently in post-production, including Flag Day, The Minuteman as well as Wander, where she’ll play Elsa Viceroy.
However, we’re still in the dark about what her celebrations are over, but as demanded by the star we’ll be checking in on her feed with bated breath.
Earlier this month, the actress reunited with her Vikings co-stars, Georgia Hirst and Kristy Dawn Dinsmore, who all partied at the Vanity Fair and Lancôme Women in Hollywood event.
The trio have remained tight-lipped over the latest installment of the historical saga, which left fans on a huge cliffhanger regarding Bjorn’s (Alexander Ludwig) fate.

In the final episode, the King of Kattegat was stabbed through the chest by his brother Ivar The Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen), leaving fans convinced he’d died.
However, the show creator Michael Hirst has other ideas as he has since teased: ‘We haven’t actually seen them dead, but you would imagine that their wounds were grevious enough to probably mean they wouldn’t survive very long.’
The 67-year-old continued to Entertainment Tonight: ‘But I wouldn’t be quite certain that they’re dead yet, until you actually see that.
‘So, I’m not saying that they are both still alive, but they could absolutely still be alive, because we haven’t seen them dead yet.’
Alexander himself, also added to the publication: ‘We don’t really know that, do we? I’ve been ordered by the powers higher than me that I’m not allowed to speak on the subject.’
Vikings season six is expected to return to the History Channel and Amazon Prime later this year.

Taylor Swift makes a not-so-subtle jab at Scooter Braun in the new video for The Man.
The video, directed by Taylor herself, dropped this afternoon and sees the 30-year-old transformed into a dude named Tyler Swift who is pretty much the epitome of toxic masculinity.
And one particular scene references Taylor’s war with mogul Scooter over the masters of her albums.
‘Tyler’ pees up against a wall, on which graffiti spells out the names of some of Swift’s biggest albums, including Fearless, 1989, Reputation and Speak.
A sign reads: ‘Missing: If found return to Taylor Swift’, while ‘Karma’ is also sprayed on the wall.
And the final dig? A sign with a line through a scooter – signalling No Scooters.
Taylor referenced the Scooter Braun row
The video also references the album row in the credits, which inform viewers that the video stars, is directed by and is owned by Taylor Swift.

David Beckham says he won’t be mocked for his Lego loving habits because it ‘calms’ him (Picture: Backgrid)
David Beckham won’t be mocked into giving up his Lego making-habits because he says playing with the little building bricks ‘calms’ him.
Turns out he’s quite the pro when it comes to Lego after mastering it in his childhood, and so far, David’s already built a replica of Hogwarts, a Disney princess castle and a jeep.
David said: ‘I do love Lego. It’s from before I had kids, I grew up making Lego when I was eight or nine years old and I still continue it.
‘Victoria always laughs at me, she’ll come down at like two o’clock in the morning and I’ll still be up doing a piece. She posted something [on Instagram] the other day – because [the Lego] was 11 years and above – she was like, “Really?”‘
The clip saw Victoria filming David fussing over his Lego while she could be heard in the background saying: ‘How much longer, David? 20 minutes… it does say on the box that it’s for an 11-year-old… but you are 44.’
Laughing back at the clip, David then revealed: ‘I love Lego… it calms me when I’m making it.’
And keen to continue his Lego-loving ways, host Jimmy then gifted David a brand new Lego set – the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars – and the former footballer joked: ‘Victoria’s going to be over the moon.’
David was played a clip of Victoria laughing at him struggling over 11+ Lego (Picture: Backgrid)
Becks was given a new Star Wars Lego to try and joked Victoria would be ‘over the moon’ (Picture: NBC)
Jimmy teased: ‘This is the biggest Lego you can get, 7500 pieces. This is 16 years old plus, so it’s a little step up. You’ve got to crush this one.’
We’ve got every faith that Becks is the man for the job.
Joking that VB has always been his favourite Spice Girl, David said he’d asked for her number after she came to watch a football game in London and she wrote it down for him on a train ticket – which he still has to this day.
‘She’d had a couple of drinks so I decided why not, I’ll try and get her number,’ David said.
‘We talked for about an hour in the players’ lounge. She actually got the train up that day so she wrote her number down on her train ticket, which I still have.’
N’aww.

Kirk Norcross says he’s happier unblocking drains than he is being on Towie (Picture: Rex)
You might recognise Kirk Norcross from the first few series of Towie, but these days you’ll find him unblocking drains around Essex instead of hitting red carpets.
The former reality star was a Towie OG back in the day, alongside the likes of Mark Wright, Lauren Goodger and Amy Childs.
Long live the days Kirk whisked Amy off to the zoo for their first date and hurled shade Maria Fowler’s way by calling her an ‘extra’. Iconic.
But, while he made a name for himself wooing his co-stars and being Sugar Hut’s finest – shout out to Kirk’s dad Mick who is the man behind the nightclub – Kirk now spends his day jet-washing and unblocking drains, and he says he couldn’t be happier.
He decided to shun the limelight after experiencing a brutal side to fame, that saw him surrounded by ‘fake people and hangers-on’, following his stints on the ITVBe reality series, Celebrity Big Brother and Ex On The Beach.
Speaking to The Sun, Kirk said: ‘There is so much bulls**t going on when you live your life in the public eye. It can be toxic and you get surrounded by people who are fake and just hangers-on.
‘It can be a very brutal environment. Now I get up, go to work, keep my head down and earn a living with a bigger smile on my face.’
Kirk claims he’s ditched expensive watches and Ferraris for £20 Topman jeans, adding: ‘I realise working up a ladder clearing drains and jet-washing driveways isn’t as glamorous… but I wouldn’t swap things for the world.’
The dad-of-two says reality TV turned him into a ‘monster’ and while he still shares updates of his life on Instagram, Kirk has decided to ditch Twitter for good after struggling with his mental health over the years.
Kirk revealed he went through some dark moments as he struggled with fame and the trolling that comes with it, with the star admitting he once tried to take his own life.
‘It didn’t work. I am so glad I didn’t,’ Kirk said. ‘I have a chance now to be the person I want to be and, if I can, to make a bit of difference.’
Not willing to rehash old arguments and wanting to be respectful to wife Michelle Keegan, Mark is said to be refusing to work alongside Lauren again.
Mark dated Lauren for 12 years. The pair were even engaged for five months before finally calling it quits for good in 2011 and fans would love to see the exes come face-to-face one more.
Sources claim that producers are keen to have both Mark and Lauren back on-screen in whatever way possible. They told The Sun: ‘Producers are in talks now and trying to come up with ways they can get them both on-screen as they’re show legends.
‘The last thing they want to do is upset Mark but at the same time they are really keen to see him with Lauren again.’
Throw in Gemma Collins telling Arg he’s not getting her candy, oh, and leaving a pie for Kirk’s dad Mick on his doorstep, Joey Essex taking Sam Faiers to the dump for a date and Amy handing out vajazzles and you’ve got yourself a party.
Jeremy Kyle is set to return to screens (Picture: Rex)
Jeremy Kyle’s comeback has been confirmed where he will ‘have his say’ after a year of ‘battling the unimaginable consequences’.
The presenter’s representative has taken to social media telling followers to ‘watch this space’ as she shared a photo of the star, along with a lengthy post.
‘So pleased to welcome the very talented and very real … Jeremy Kyle exclusively to @the_can_group For 14 years, Jeremy Kyle dominated Daytime TV with his hugely successful eponymous talk show,’ Claire Powell began.
‘He’s also proved a hit in prime time, fronting five successful series of his investigative current affairs brand, The Kyle Files.. Jeremy’s runaway UK success was the catalyst for two syndicated US series as well as stints presenting two other ITV juggernauts, This Morning and Good Morning Britain.’
The post continued: ‘Jeremy first came to prominence as a Sony Award-winning radio host who changed the game at BRMB, Virgin Radio, Capital FM, talkSPORT and talkRADIO. Known for his honest, engaging opinions, Jeremy has also authored numerous columns for The Sun and a bestselling book for Hodder & Stoughton.
‘A committed father and family man, he’s also a cancer survivor who has miraculously just welcomed a new son (and grandson!) into the world.’
The star has remained silent since his talk show got pulled off air (Photo by REX)
Claire went on to explain that after a tough year the 54-year-old would be returning be ‘back soon to have his say’.
Jeremy Kyle guest Steve Dymond died shortly after his appearance on the show (Picture: Facebook)
Mr. Dymond was found dead in his home just days after appearing on the show leading to its immediate cancellation, sparking a huge debate about the programme’s aftercare procedure and moral compass.
The chair of the Digital, Culture, Media And Sport Committee wrote in The Guardian: ‘I believe we need to formalise these powers and have a clear real-world sanction for those that refuse to comply with a request to provide evidence to a parliamentary committee.’
The Jeremy Kyle Show is now no longer available to watch as all episodes have been pulled from the ITVB Hub and all clips removed from YouTube.

Love is Blind finale is something else (Picture: Netflix)
Warning: This article contains spoilers from the Love Is Blind final.
Love isn’t just blind – it’s blindsiding. The final of Love Is Blind dropped on Netflix this morning and, honestly, after dogs getting on the lash and Giannina having her a*s seductively smacked by the sea, it was still a slap in the face shocker of 60 minutes.
Couples you were convinced would tie the knot actually split up in front of their entire family at the alter and we finally discovered the identity of that runaway bride. Others, said ‘I do’ when we would have bet our house they would say ‘I do not’.
While Jessica Batten pied off Mark Cuevas after weeks of torturing the 24-year-old, and Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton ended the series man and wife, Love Is Blind’s other three couples pulled the rug from beneath us and we’re struggling to recover.
Matt Barnett and Amber Pike actually got married
Barnett actually went through with his marriage to Amber (Picture: Netflix)
Amber actually married the guy who refused to return her calls. Until he signed on the dotted line, she had no clue if she had a husband and, honestly, we were doubtful. Barnett was easily the most reluctant Love Is Blinder to walk down the aisle, showing snippets of the resemblance of a normal person.
But he did it nonetheless and no one saw it coming:
Throughout Love Is Blind, Kelly and Kenny seemed like one of the strongest couples – albeit with little competition. They soaked up way less air time than anyone else because they weren’t slating each other’s sex life or having to resort to speaking through a wall again.
Everything was just plain sailing to the alter – so we thought…
At the hen do, Kelly got candid about her BF and she wasn’t talking about her boyfriend. Kenny was her ‘best friend’. Naturally, producers love to force drama going into the final but it turned out Kelly really meant it.
But Kenny handled it like a pro, somehow hiding his pain with an ‘unrehearsed’ speech to all their friends and family. Kelly’s mum loved Kenny, but it wasn’t enough.
Again, millions were thrown.
Srsly, Kelly? She acted like everything was ð¯ up until suddenly we find out she isnât really attracted to him, and then ON THE DAY OF sheâs like, âBut Iâm not infatuated with him.â ð³#loveisblindnetflix#LoveIsBlind
Damian finally got his power back by turning down Gianinna (Picture: Netflix)
After Giannina’s butterflies couldn’t decide if they were coming or going, continuously being told he wasn’t good enough and his sex wasn’t all that, Damian quite literally took back the power.
In turn, Giannina darted off in her wedding dress, bum-planting the mud on her way out before consoling her mum who somehow turned it all on her. Genius.
Not even 5 mins into the finale for #Loveisblind and Iâm so Surpised and frightened… Damian really rejected Gianna on the spot, Iâve never seen suchððð

Caprice was not allowed to talk about what went on with Hamish (Picture: ITV)
Caprice Bourret has revealed how she couldn’t speak about what really happened between her and Hamish Gaman because of the contract she had signed with ITV.
The former model who was partnered with Hamish on the ITV show before she quit said she has had to remain tight-lipped about what went on due to ‘contractual reasons’.
Neither Hamish or Caprice have directly addressed what prompted them to stop working together, although now the mum-of-two has spoken out exclaiming that reading the rumours about the drama have been ‘really tough’.
‘The worse thing was I couldn’t say anything because of my contractual obligation,’ she began.
‘So, somebody was really taking advantage of the fact that I couldn’t talk, I didn’t have a voice. It was frustrating, it was hurtful, I had to shut down my Twitter account as a result.’
‘It was totally slanderous and untrue, I would say 98 per cent of them,’ she continued to the Express.
Caprice and Hamish decided to ‘part ways’ during the series (Picture: ITV)
At a book launch for Eat Your Way To A Six Pack by Scott Harrison. The Sun quotes her saying: ‘There is no duty of care. In America, they have to have it or they get sued.
‘It’s just thinking about other people, it’s just common decency, I think, when it comes to these kind of destructive shows. We have to have a soul at some point for God’s sakes.
‘Thank God people are talking about it at the moment more, but it’s sad what had to happen for people to do that.’
Caprice accused ITV of ‘having no duty of care’ (Picture: WireImage)
ITV said in a statement: ‘We take our duty of care very seriously. We have always been fully committed to ensuring that everyone involved on Dancing On Ice is fully supported and keep a close eye on everyone’s well being throughout the series.
‘We are very proud of the brilliant team both on and off-screen who deliver a fantastic show each week.’
An insider added that the celebrity contestants ‘have access to a psychologist and are offered counselling, as well as there being an on site physio and GP to cover both mental and physical well being.’
Neither Caprice or Hamish have spoken about what has happened (Picture: Rex)
They told us: ‘Caprice received very little support from ITV and had to seek external help of her own accord. She has been seeing a counselling psychologist as well as two doctors on an ongoing basis.

Hamish recently decided to sit out of a live show after confessing he felt ‘extremely vulnerable’, and that it had been ‘the worst three months of my life’.
He added in a statement shared to his Twitter page: ‘I desperately want to move on from all of this and focus on the skating. I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong, and was told by the team who reviewed all the rehearsal footage that I was an “exemplary pro”.
‘I can only hope that this will all be over soon.’

Danny Cipriani has organised a tribute to Caroline Flack during his rugby match for Gloucester on Friday
Danny Cipriani has organised for himself and his teammates to pay tribute to Caroline Flack during their next rugby game on Friday.
The sports star, 32, currently plays for Gloucester and has reveled he and the rest of the team will all wear black armbands with ‘Be Kind’ printed across them to honour Caroline, following her death.
Gloucester will play the Sale Sharks at their home ground, Kingsholm Stadium, and Danny said in a statement: ‘Caroline was one of the most caring, genuine people I ever met.
‘She endured unimaginable criticism during her years in the public eye but through it all, she just wanted people to show a little kindness to each other. And that’s a message that should be her legacy – be kind.’
It continued: ‘We all have spells of self-doubt, anxiety and low points. Nobody needs other people to point out their flaws and make them feel worse about themselves. A little kindness goes a long way.’
The Gloucester Rugby Foundation has also teamed up with Samaritans to raise awareness of mental health, and £5 of every ticket for the match will be donated to the Gloucester & District Samaritans charity.

Since news of her death, Danny has spoken out about the friendship he shared with Caroline, who he briefly dated, and revealed he has ‘never cried so much’.
Danny said: ‘Someone that I loved as a person very dearly and someone I’ve very close to has decided to take her own life, as everyone knows, and I’ve speaking to her for the past three, four months, we’ve always been in contact since we were together, since we weren’t, and it’s always been a loving friendship.

‘I was so vulnerable with her in my moments since we first met and I told her everything about me, because I felt safe with her. I told her all the things I was embarrassed and shameful about. She made me feel ok. And ultimately it was embarrassment and shame that killed her.
‘I know she knew I had the strength to do this, and we had spoken about how things had to change. I didn’t know it would take this.’
Alongside the texts, Danny revealed he is going to spend lent off social media while he comes to terms with his grief.
He wrote: ‘I’m taking lent off social media. Thank you all for the kind messages. And all the lovely response. Thank you for the bad response. It’s my story. And i did it for me. Then her – she wasn’t allowed to talk to her BF throughout the case because of the law.
‘He wanted the charges dropped. They wanted to pursue. I am not pointing fingers. The CPS and police do a good job. Just saying we can’t always do a good job.
‘This is my grieving process. Our greatest strength is our greatest weakness ps – I was shown how to disable comments. So I’m going to do so on this post. Because it’s for me and my grieving process.
‘In a month i will be back on social because that’s 2020 and this is me navigating my way through life.’

Paddy, 17, has got heart disease, lung disease, arthritis, cancer and doggy dementia as well as being incontinent.
‘I don’t want to do it but it’s cruel to keep him alive because he’s in so much pain. It is going to be so difficult,’ she added.

Fans quickly left their condolences under the post, offering Kerry encouraging words.

Taking to their official Twitter account, bosses shared a clip from Thursday night’s episode which appears to show Ralf’s character Neville Parker saying goodbye to Madeleine even though it feels like he has just arrived.
The caption to the video reads: ‘It’s bittersweet news for D.I Neville Parker as he’s given the all-clear to go home.
‘Luckily for you, you’re invited to his leaving party tonight at 9pm. Don’t be late. #DeathInParadise ‘
During the short one-minute clip, D.I Parker speaks to DS Madeleine Dumas (Aude Legastelois) about ‘going back home’.

‘Morning inspector how was your evening?’ she asked.
He responded: ‘Good thanks, great actually, I have been given the all-clear.
‘I’m allowed to fly back to England, not until we have solved the case obviously but yeah finally, I am going to go back home.
‘I am sure you for one will be delighted to see the back of me and my funny ways.’
‘No, it’s been a very interesting experience,’ she hesitantly answered.
Earlier this week producers also shared a photo of Ralf sat on the beach (Picture: BBC)
Neville goes on to talk about holding a party to thank the rest of his team for ‘putting up’ with him.
He added: ‘Indeed that’s a very good way of describing it, for both of us. I feel like I want to do something for everyone to say thanks for putting up with me over the last few weeks, so I was thinking of holding a drinks party maybe at my place if you’re free this evening.’
Earlier this week producers also shared a photo of Ralf sat on the beach, as they said: ‘Neville prepares to leave Saint Marie in the final episode of the series.
‘Has he secretly grown fond of this little island?’

Harvey Weinstein is reportedly keen to appeal the decision (Picture: REUTERS/Lucas Jackson)
Harvey Weinstein’s lawyer has said the disgraced producer is ‘unbelievably energised’ to fight against his rape conviction, despite being hospitalised in New York.
His lawyer, Arthur Aidala, revealed that Harvey claimed he ‘didn’t force himself on anybody’ and was talking about the future and possibility of bail, when the two met after the guilty verdict on two of the five counts, for criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree, was announced.
Arthur told Page Six: ‘We left him at night after he was admitted. Yesterday morning, again with him at Bellevue hospital, I expected to see him distraught. He was unbelievably energized. Motivated to have his legal team fight for justice.’
One point they want to argue at an appeal is Juror 11, a woman who had written a novel about ‘predatory older men’ who they believed may have had a biased opinion, but this is just ‘one of’ the issues they had with the trial.
He added: ‘Next step is an appeal, which could take another nine months to a year. He hasn’t hired an appellate team as yet. A trial lawyer will also have to be at his side to give colour, explain the trial, know the transcript.
‘In the midst of it all and including the chest pains, he was complimentary on how well the court officers treated him. He said they couldn’t have been nicer.’
Harvey’s back problems and subsequent surgery have been evident throughout the trial, with the producer walking in to court with a walking frame.
Harvey’s back problems have been widely documented (Picture: AP)
Arthur confirmed that Harvey was on ‘lots of medications’, which were being given to him in Bellevue, where he was taken instead of Rikers Island jail because he was experiencing chest pains.
Harvey is due to be sentenced in March, and was supposed to await trial in the notoriously violent New York prison, but has so far managed to avoid being transferred there due to his health.

Arthur says the room Harvey is in in Bellevue is a large hospital room, where he has a shower, sink and toilet and his walker has been replaced with a wheelchair, and he gets hot meals.
The lawyer added: ‘His back is in bad shape. They’ve taken him to the infirmary for surveillance. We don’t know how long he’ll be hospitalized. Doctors will make that decision.’

Letitia Wright will play one of the twins in a new movie (Picture: PA; Getty)
The story of The Silent Twins is one which shocked and baffled the nation almost five decades ago.
Letitia Wright has been confirmed to star in a new movie about the twins, swapping the fantasy of Marvel for a gripping real-life tale. Her involvement will no doubt introduce The Silent Twins to a whole new audience who may know very little about a case which, still to this day, has so many unanswered questions.
What really happened to June and Jennifer Gibbons in the ‘60s and why is the case so confusing?
Who were The Silent Twins?
Identical twins June and Jennifer were from Barbados and moved to the UK during the Windrush generation with their parents Gloria and Aubrey Gibbons.
However, they were actually born in Aden, Yemen on 11 April 1963 where their father worked as part of the Royal Air Force.
The Gibbons sisters were ‘inseparable’
The family settled in Haverfordwest, Wales but struggled to fit in due to their accent and language which was Bajan Creole. Their classmates found it difficult to understand them and they were the only black children in the community making their adjustment to British life immensely challenging.
Why didn’t The Silent Twins speak?
Teachers noticed that the twins would only talk to themselves and refused to read and write.
They developed their own ‘secret language’ which nobody else could understand and it meant June and Jennifer became distant from their family growing increasingly isolated.
It wasn’t until 1976 when a doctor arrived at their school to give students their TB (tuberculosis) jabs when the medic noticed their peculiar behaviour. Unlike other students, June and Jennifer showed no emotion when getting the injection which prompted the doctor to contact a child psychiatrist.
June and Jennifer, here with journalist Majorie Wallace, had their own ‘secret language’ (Picture: PA)
After the psychiatrist, the girls were taken to see a speech therapist at Withybush Hospital. It was here where the therapist recorded them speaking and managed to decipher their ‘secret language’, which turned out to be a blend of England and Bajan slang spoken extremely quickly.
The following year, the twins’ parents agreed to separate them to see if their behaviour changed when they were apart.
However, June refused to cooperate and stopped physically moving, spending most of her time lying in bed at her residential care unit.
Staff who treated the girls struggled to determine whether there was a more dominant figure in their relationship.
Journalist and mental health campaigner Marjorie Wallace who knew the twins shared her thoughts on their relationship.
Wallace claims the sisters had a death ‘pact’ (Picture: PA)
‘They had these rituals where they decided between them which one would wake first, which one would breathe first, and the other wasn’t allowed to breathe until the first one breathed,’ she revealed according to Wales Online.
‘It was like some sinister childhood game that got out of control.’
June and Jennifer were known for their love of writing.
Police later found a large stack of diaries, poems, essays and short stories, some written about crime.
They had such a talent for storytelling that June’s book – titled Pepsi Cola Addict – about a student being seduced by a teacher was self-published.
Why were The Silent Twins arrested?
Their behaviour took another unexpected turn in October 1981, when they embarked on a five-week spree committing vandalism, burglary and arson. They were later caught trying to burn down Pembrokeshire Technical College.

Following a trial at Swansea Crown Court, June and Jennifer pleaded guilty to 16 counts of burglary, theft and arson and were sentenced to indefinite detention at Broadmoor under the Mental Health Act.
What happened at Broadmoor Hospital?
Broadmoor has housed some of the country’s most notorious criminals such as the Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe and East End gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray.
During her time at Broadmoor, Jennifer wrote in a diary entry: ‘I really aim to be alone. Yet, I am deceiving myself. Can I stand being alone? My heart does not beat so fast now. It only beats fast when J is around.’
While the twins did continue to write during their 12-year Broadmoor stint, they were mostly heavily medicated during that time and their volume of diaries and novels noticeably decreased.
How did Jennifer Gibbons die?
Jennifer and June moved to Wales from Barbados (Picture: BBC Pictures)
In 1993, the girls were transferred to the medium-security unit Caswell Clinic at Bridgend’s Glanrhyd Hospital.
However, Jennifer became incredibly weak on arrival at the clinic and was taken to the Princess of Wales Hospital.
She died there at 6:30pm on 9 March aged 29.
A post-mortem report revealed the cause of death to be an undiagnosed myocarditis.
However, in an interview after Jennifer’s death, June revealed they had a death ‘pact’.
‘We said we weren’t going to speak to anybody… I’m going to have to die,’ she said according to Wallace.
The journalist explained: ‘At that point, I got very, very frightened because I could see that they meant it. And then they said, we have made a pact.
‘Jennifer has got to die because they said the day that they left Broadmoor, the day that they were free from the secure hospital, one of them would have to give up their life to really enable the other one to be free.’
Where is June Gibbons now?
June remained at Caswell for another year after Jennifer’s death but later returned to West Wales to build a new life for herself without her sister. She still lives in the area near her parents but has tried to keep out of the spotlight save for some previous interviews.
Jennifer is buried under a gravestone which is engraved with a poem written by June.
It reads: ‘We once were two/We two made one/We no more two/Through life be one/Rest in peace.’
Their case became so prolific that the Manic Street Preachers’ 1995 song Tsunami was inspired by the sisters.
Lyrics include: ‘For you my sister, holding onto me forever / Disco dancing with the rapists, your only crime is silence,’ in reference to their Broadmoor sentence.

And while most people thought they slayed it, some complained their performance was ‘too sexy’ (Picture: AFP)
Those that complained reportedly likened the show to ‘porn’ and called it ‘beyond inappropriate’, but given its had 135million views on YouTube, it seems like most people out there were living for it.
One fan tweeted: ‘For everyone who thought J-Lo and Shakira’s outfits were too racy. I give you Adam Levine Super Bowl 2019. Somebody tell that man to put some clothes on!’
Another argued: ‘So Adam Levine is allowed for perform shirtless during the halftime show and sexually dance across the stage… but as soon as two confident Latina women do it, with just as much coverage, of not more, it’s deemed “innapropriate?”’
We hear you.

Is it really possible to fall in love with someone before meeting them? (Picture: Netflix/Metro.co.uk)
Love Is Blindhas had us totally gripped since it first landed on Netflix, with many of us questioning whether or not a relationship – let alone a marriage – can actually be sustainedhaving fallen in love with someone before meeting them.
Hosted by Nick Lachey and his wife, Vanessa, the show sees singletons speak to a host of anonymous potential love matches, before having to propose to the one they have the most connection with.
But can the likes of Jessica and Mark, and Lauren and Cameron really have found true love on Love Is Blind without having seen each other first?
Relationship expert, psychologist and therapist, Dr. Kalanit Ben-Ari spoke exclusively to Metro.co.uk and revealed that hypothetically, the show could open the doors to a genuine and long-lasting connection.
‘I believe it is possible for people to fall in love without physically seeing each other, but I think maintaining satisfying, long-lasting relationships in today’s culture requires a certain level of physical attraction,’ she said.
‘Individuals may find that their past “requirements” such as height, age and so on, are less important when they fall in love blindly. However, with all good intentions and connections, they may feel that their partner’s appearance is actually not their “type” and there is no attraction in that sense.
‘Our brain perceives information from what we see that is beyond our awareness, from facial expression and body posture, to eye contact and beyond. People tend to relate it to intuition, but actually our brain analyses all non-verbal expressions and based on our personal history, leads us to intuitive feelings.
Can people who’ve never actually met fall in love? (Picture: Netflix)
‘When people are already in a relationship having never actually met, they start to build expectations about what each other will look like. If the reality is close to the imaginary, starting the relationship without seeing the partner can be great. If, on the other hand, they look totally different to your expectations you might feel disappointed, which will then always be buried within the relationship.’
Addressing why someone might sign up to be a contestant on a show like Love Is Blind, Dr Kalanit told us that dating app fatigue is a big factor, as well as a possible desire for fame.
‘I think people participate in reality dating shows for different reasons,’ she said. ‘It could be a genuine longing to find “the one” or to gain publicity. These days young adults are trapped in a culture of Tinder and other dating apps that place physical appearance at the forefront. The quantity of people using these apps, means users don’t need to give potential partners too much attention or consideration, as another potential partner is just a swipe away.
‘We know from the happiness theory that the more choice you have, the less satisfied you will be with the choice you make – always doubting if you could have mate a better one. The more Apps and websites that offer matching, the more challenging it is for young adults to find and create lasting relationships. This can create frustration and despair when it doesn’t work out, so it makes sense that people find the concept of meeting without seeing each other, a very attractive possibility.
‘It’s the longing for significant and meaningful connections that leads people to look for a partner in creative ways. For some, it might be a way to express who they are beyond their physical appearance. They long for, as most of us do, someone to love, accept and see them for who they are, and hope that this concept might be the solution. Regardless of their reasons, every one of the participants on shows like this has the opportunity to learn and grow from the experience.’
Dr Kalanit added: ‘I would also say, that the production of the show distracted from the main issues in the relationships: screens! Phones, computers and other devices are a core problem when it comes to creating and maintaining connections. Once you take them out of the equation, couples are able to feel seen, heard, and connected -which are the foundations for falling in love. If long term couples take this into account, they might even fall in love all over again.’
Love Is Blind is available to stream on Netflixand The Ready for Love courses by Dr Kalanit Ben-Ari are available at http://www.readyforlove.today.
