Please, a round of applause for BTS who have, once again, made history with their album Map Of The Soul: 7 storming the Billboard charts.

Again.

Just moments after its 21 February release, Map Of The Soul: 7 yesterday officially debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at number one.

Which makes it the group’s fourth number one album on the chart – following Map Of The Soul: Persona (2019), Love Yourself: Answer (2018), and Love Yourself: Tear (2018).

According to Billboard, Map Of The Soul: 7 shifted 422,000 equivalent album units during the week ending 27 February, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, thus earning the biggest week of sales for any album released in 2020 thus far.

With 347,000 traditional album sales, and 26,000 track equivalent album units, as well as 48,000 streaming equivalent album units Map Of The Soul: 7 absolutely smashed it out of the ballpark.

Shall we note that all of these impressive sales also translates to 74.7million on-demand audio streams in the album’s first week?

BTS, they’ve done it again!

While smashing their own records, BTS’s drop is the biggest week of any album released by a group since One Direction’s Made in the A.M., which was released way back in 2015 with 459,000 units.

Map Of The Soul: 7 also follows on from Harry Styles’ Fine Line, which debuted in the top spot with 478,000 equivalent album units back on 28 December 2019.

It’s just another win for the band, who recently clocked their second UK number one album.

Their latest shot to number one over this side of the pond, becoming the fastest-selling album of 2020 so far here as well – but were we ever going to be surprised by something like this happening?

The boys’ album – of which you can read our review here – sold 38,000 copies in its opening week, 2,000 more than Eminem’s Music To Be Murdered By, which was previously the fastest-selling album of the year.

Of those 38,000 sales, 32,000 came from pure physical and download sales.

This is BTS’s second UK number one album, after last summer’s Map Of The Soul: Persona made them the first Korean act to achieve the top spot on the UK official chart.

Hey, let’s give the boys another round of applause.

Fern Britton feeling ‘indestructible’ after split from husband of 20 years Phil Vickery

Eight years since she left us, Fern Britton is back! For the first time since 2009, she?ll be reacquainting herself with the This Morning sofa as she joins us to chat about her new ITV show, ?Culinary Genius?. After famously fronting ?Ready, Steady, Cook?, Fern is back in the kitchen alongside a host of well-known chefs - including her husband Phil Vickery - to put some budding cooks through their paces.

Fern Britton is feeling ‘indestructible’ following her split from husband Phil Vickery.

In January, the former This Morning presenter confirmed that she and her TV chef husband had split after 20 years together, saying in a statement: ‘After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways.

‘We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children. We would appreciate it if our privacy is respected at this time.’

And despite sometimes feeling low and ‘finding life difficult’, Fern seems to be relishing her new way of life.

The 62-year-old told Woman and Home: ‘Life has changed for me in the last ten years, especially with my career. So it’s lovely to think I can just concentrate on writing, the kids and getting on with life. This feels quite comfortable, and Phil and I knew it was the right thing to do.

‘At this moment in my life I’m feeling really confident, strong and quite indestructible.’

Fern and Phil began dating in 1999 after meeting on Ready Steady Cook, and tied the knot a year later, with their daughter Winnie, now 18, arriving in 2001.

And despite their split, Britton insists that she and Vickery, 52, still have a ‘good friendship’ and will always be connected due to their daughter.

Fern, who is also mum to twins Jack and Harry and daughter Grace from her marriage to Clive Jones, said of the separation: ‘We simply needed to follow our own paths.

‘Over time we realised we weren’t necessarily having the kind of life we once did. It seemed right to say “thank you” and move on.’

One of the paths Fern is following is a 1,100 mile charity bike ride from Lands End in Cornwall to John O’Groats in Scotland – the longest cycle route in the UK.

Fern is raising money for Shuktara, an organisation with provides a home to young people with disabilities in India, alongside a group of 20 women between their 20s and 60s.

Explaining how she first bonded with these women, Fern wrote on her Just Giving page: ‘About 14 years ago I decided to take on a cycling challenge to Cycle the Nile in Egypt. I was 48, overweight and under exercised. At the time I was presenting a British TV show called This Morning and although I wanted to do the ride just for me, under my married name, the programme had other ideas, and set me off with a camera crew to record every hill, drop of sweat, gasp of breath and puncture. I was riding with strangers, a group of real women who had real jobs. They were midwives, doctors, lawyers, teachers plus women who had parked their career for their families, but were ready to take on this daring challenge.

‘You can imagine how out of place I felt. A woman with a camera crew is not discreet. I was a very conspicuous oddity. Later, these lovely women told me they thought I might not do all the ride. That I would insist on First Class travel, make up and cheat the miles by only doing the first two miles and the last two but riding in the air conditioned coach for the other fifty miles they would be riding. But together we did it the whole 400 km in 5 days. Cycling in searing heat through mighty deserts, past ancient temples, and the valley of the kings, always following the sparkling River Nile.

‘Over the trip the girls and I bonded over blisters, saddle sores, exhaustion and tremendous laughter. We literally grew to love each other.

’14 years later and we have many rides under our belts. Cuba, India, Tanzania, Russia, Estonia, Jordan, Zanzibar, Panama, China, Nicaragua, Cambodia, Vietnam and Costa Rica. We have raised many hundreds of thousands for our chosen charities.’

Final Fantasy 7 Remake free playable demo out now on PS4

In a surprise move Square Enix has released a hands-on demo for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, with a free PS4 theme if you buy the full game.

Playable demos are not something you usually get for most games, but then Final Fantasy 7 Remake is not most games.

The insanely anticipated remake is out 10 April as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but if you want to see what the fuss is all about it’s available from the PlayStation Store for free right now.

It’s the same demo as was shown to the press last year and involves the sabotage mission against Mako Reactor 1, and the first boss battle, from the beginning of the original game.

Not only will you get to see what all the fuss is about but if you download the demo before 11 May you’ll also get an exclusive PlayStation 4 theme when the full game comes out next month.

Originally, Final Fantasy 7 Remake would’ve been out this week, on Tuesday, 3 March, but it received a five-week delay at the start of the year.

Although it’s a standalone experience the release next month is essentially only one chapter in the whole story, and it’ll take multiple games to complete the plot told in the PlayStation 1 original.

However, Square Enix has never said how many chapters there will be in total or when the others will be released, with this first game only covering the events set in Midgar.

It’s also unknown when the game might come to an Xbox format, with the timed exclusivity on PlayStation ensuring it won’t be until after April next year.

Johnny Depp ‘wanted by Disney for sixth Pirates of the Caribbean movie’

DIsney are considering getting Johnny Depp back on board for more Pirates of the Caribbean (Picture: Disney)

Johnny Depp is reportedly set to return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise as Captain Jack Sparrow.

According to reports Disney bosses are ‘lobbying’ for him to reprise the role.

We Got This Covered claims that the ‘revelations’ in the actor’s $50million (£40million) defamation lawsuit against ex Amber Heard are what is prompting Disney to try and get Depp back on board.

The site reads: ‘The recent turn of events in Depp’s legal battle and the overwhelming support from the public in his favor has some of the Mouse House executives now lobbying for his return behind the scenes.’

The actor first played Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in 2003. This was followed by Dead Man’s Chest (2006), At World’s End (2007) and On Stranger Tides (2011).

He was last in the role for 2017’s Salazar’s Revenge.

Depp was in court in London over the last week, as he is suing The Sun newspaper and its executive editor Dan Wootton over an article which alleged he had been abusive to Heard.

The star denies the allegations of domestic abuse and has accused his ex of being the ‘aggressor’ in their relationship, which ended in May 2016.

After Amber wrote an op-ed in December 2018 for Washington Post alleging that she was a victim of domestic abuse, Johnny launched a $50million (£40million) defamation lawsuit against the Danish Girl actress.

He claimed her ‘fabricated domestic violence allegations are categorically and demonstrably false’ and his lawyers argued it was an attempt to ‘smear’ his name.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Depp and Disney for comment.

Matt Hardy leaves WWE and teases AEW, IMPACT Wrestling and more as he becomes free agent

It’s been the source of much speculation for weeks now, but Matt Hardy has finally confirmed what many suspected.

That’s right, the Broken One has left WWE and is seeking a new challenge, admitting he needed to be more fulfilled creatively and so he is pondering his next move.

In a video posted to this YouTube channel, he announced his contract had expired on March 1 at midnight, and he’s decided not to re-sign – although he thinks the door is open for a return one day.

He said: ‘I am going to become a free agent and that’s not saying I’m not going to return to WWE… I did not want to leave WWE. I love WWE. WWE is my home. WWE has treated me great as an employee for the last three years.

‘They’ve been good to me. They’ve been good to my family. They’ve been great to my kids. I have nothing but great things to say about the WWE and all the people who work there.’

Matt – who has been heavily tied to a move to rival promotion All Elite Wrestling – insisted the time was right to become a free agent.

AEW has continued to tease Hardy as the possible mysterious leader of the Dark Order faction, and the company shared a cryptic post on Twitter again hinted at the move not long after his announcement.

It simply read: ‘The Exalted One Is Near.’

Explaining his decision further in his video, Matt noted: ‘The reason I needed to leave WWE is because when it comes to my creative stance – and my creative outlook on myself and my career and how I want it to go for these last 3 or 4 years that I have to spend as an active in-ring competitor – I just think myself and WWE are on different pages.’

Matt promised he’d be tuning into near enough every major promotion this week – including his brother Jeff Hardy’s appearance on WWE Backstage tomorrow night – to survey the scene and figure out his next move.

Elaborating on his WWE departure, he added: ‘I want to enter a creative renaissance. I am not, obviously, 25 or 30-years-old. I am 45-years-old and I have to be utilised in a certain way. But I still know in my heart, I know I have so much to offer this business.

WWE superstar Randy Orton attacks Matt Hardy with a chair on Raw

‘I have so much entertainment left inside this vessel. And I have so much I want to give each and every one of you.

‘I want to enter a creative renaissance and I want to have non-stop input on my creative process. And I think that’s where WWE and I are on different pages.’

Matt’s final appearances in WWE saw him decimated by Randy Orton on Monday Night Raw on consecutive weeks as part of the build towards the Viper’s expected grudge match with Edge at WrestleMania 36.

It was a big weekend in the world of Eurovision (Picture: Pavlo Gonchar / SOPA Images/Sipa USA)

It was the biggest weekend yet for the Eurovision Song Contest, as Super Saturday bulked up the line-up of participants.

And if you missed all the action, we’ve got you covered.

Daði Freyr and his band Gagnamagnið are already firm favourites in the contest, after their viral track Think About Things was chosen to represent Iceland at Söngvakeppnin on Saturday.

And Natalia Gordienko will be representing Moldova with her song Prison, after coming out on top at O Melodie Pentru Europa.

At Belarus’s national final in Minsk, duo VAL were confirmed to be heading to Rotterdam with their track Da Vidna.

VAL is made up of real-life couple Valerie Gribusova and Vlad Pashkevich, with Valerie best known for competing on The Voice of Ukraine and winning Slavic Bazaar.

Meanwhile, Vlad has some Eurovision experience, having produced Belarus’s 2017 entry Story Of My Life by Naviband.

Da Vidna is a cool and modern electronic number with soaring vocals, with a catchy beat, and VAL will perform in semi-final number one on 12 May.

Estonia chose their entry at Eesti Laul, selecting Uku Suviste as their representative.

The 37-year-old has competed twice before at the Estonian national selection, in 2017 and 2019, finishing second last year – but he’s finally made it, after being chosen exclusively by the public vote.

Uku will be bringing his ballad What Love Is to the second semi-final on 14 May.

Croatia’s national final Dora 2020 was also held on Saturday, and Damir Kedžo beat 15 other competitors with his song Divlji Vjetre.

The dramatic ballad is all drums and booming vocals, and will be performed in the first semi-final.

On Sunday night, the grand final of Beovizija came to its crescendo as Serbia decided who to send to Rotterdam.

And in the end it was girl band Hurricane who came out on top.

The three-piece girl band – made up of Sanja Vucic, Ksenija Knezevic and Ivana Nikolić – are taking their upbeat pop track Hasta La Vista to Eurovision, accompanied by impressive choreography.

Sanja and Ksenija have a bit of experience at Eurovision already – Sanja represented Serbia in 2016 with Goodbye (Shelter), while Kseniha was a backing singer for her father Knez when he represented Montenegro in 2015.

And finally, the Romanian public tuned into Selecția Națională 2020 to decide which song Roxen would be performing in Romania.

Roxen sang Beautiful Disaster, Cherry Red, Colors, Alcohol You and Storm, with Alcohol You being voted as the winning song.

Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Sweden and Switzerland are still to confirm their entries.

The Eurovision Song Contest grand final takes place on 16 May.

James Franco slams ‘salacious’ sexual misconduct claims after two accusers file lawsuit

James Franco has denied the sexual misconduct allegations against him, describing the claims as ‘salacious’ and ‘false’.

The 41-year-old actor is accused of sexually inappropriate behaviour towards two students, Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal, who filed lawsuits against him in October.

According to the students, the misconduct took place in 2014 at Franco’s acting school, Playhouse West Studio 4, before it closed in 2017.

However, Franco is now said to have filed a demurrer – a written objection to the lawsuit – hitting back at the allegations.

According to the documents obtained by People, Franco’s lawyers argue: ‘While the salacious allegations in the complaint have made great tabloid fodder, they are also false and inflammatory, legally baseless and brought improperly in the form of a class action largely to gain as much publicity as possible.

‘This lawsuit is a travesty of justice and the culmination of a meritless campaign that has unfairly tarnished a decent man’s hard-earned reputation…

James Franco
The incidents allegedly took place at Franco’s now-closed acting school (Picture: Getty Images)

‘Ms Tither-Kaplan had always expressed gratitude for having been given the opportunity to work in Emmy-nominated productions with Franco, one of her teachers.’

It continued: ‘Tither-Kaplan was so effusive in her praise of Franco that she had posted unsolicited tweets and texts extolling Franco’s virtues, how much she admired him and how much she got out of her time at Studio 4.

‘The casting director and others involved with those films have confirmed that all actresses, including Tither-Kaplan, were aware of the nudity scenes ahead of time, that they were constantly checking to make sure the actresses felt comfortable, that they signed nudity waivers, and that no one — including Tither-Kaplan — ever complained.’

Tither-Kaplan first came forward in 2018 to accuse Franco of sexually exploiting her and four other women in an article published in the Los Angeles Times.

The former student alleged that Franco removed safety guards while filming an oral sex scene on set of 2015 movie The Long Home.

‘I got it in my head pretty quickly that, OK, you don’t say “no” to this guy,’ Tither-Kaplan claimed.

‘I feel there was an abuse of power, and there was a culture of exploiting non-celebrity women and a culture of women being replaceable.’

In their joint lawsuit, Tither-Kaplan and Gaal claimed the ‘widespread inappropriate and sexually charged behaviour towards female students by sexualising their power as a teacher and an employer by dangling the opportunity for roles in their projects’.

In a statement released to People at the time, Franco denied the allegations against him and said: ‘This is not the first time that these claims have been made and they have already been debunked.

‘We have not had an opportunity to review the ill-informed Complaint in-depth since it was leaked to the press before it was filed and our client has yet to even be served.  James will not only fully defend himself, but will also seek damages from the plaintiffs and their attorneys for filing this scurrilous publicity-seeking lawsuit.’

Ozzy Osbourne compares affairs to ‘junkie fix’ after nearly losing wife Sharon forever

Ozzy Osbourne has compared having affairs to his drug addiction, calling it ‘getting a fix’ after nearly losing wife Sharon forever.

The pair have been rocked by a number of affairs during their 38-year marriage, with Ozzy’s 2016 relationship with his hairdresser Michelle Pugh making headlines and almost resulting in divorce.

But despite this, the pair have worked through their issues, and appearing on Good Morning Britain Ozzy admitted his biggest fear was Sharon actually leaving him.

‘It’s like a Shakespearian play, our love story,’ Sharon said. ‘Ozzy’s been a right old f***r with women.’

When asked by Piers Morgan if he ever feared Sharon would end their 38 year marriage, Ozzy admitted: ‘Absolutely. I was terrified.’

He later compared having sex with other women to his drug addiction.

The Crazy Train singer explained: ‘I think it’s another fix. If you’re a junkie like I was, anything that alters your mind, you go for it.

‘I didn’t love any of these people. I learned a lesson.’

However that’s easier said than done for Sharon, who admitted she was ‘broken in every sense’.

So took a pair of scissors to all of his wardrobe to let out her anger.

‘I said to him, “if you ever do this to me again, I’m going to cut your hair off or cut all your clothes”,’ Sharon explained.

‘I wish I hadn’t had done the stupid thing that I did to warrant that happening,’ Ozzy admitted. ‘You never know what you have until you’d lost it, and I thought I’d lost her, big time.’

During the chat, the pair also discussed Ozzy’s Parkin 2 diagnosis – a rare form of Parkinson’s that has affected him since birth.

Admitting that has known about the issue for years, he has now come forward as its hinders his ability to perform… not that he’s going to let that stop him.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.

In a matter of days, the ‘Subway singer’ – as she’s been hailed in the US – has gone from total obscurity to boasting almost 700,000 Instagram followers – including Ariana Grande. Really.

Fans of Sir David Jason had the rare opportunity to get up, close and personal with the Only Fools and Horses legend over the weekend – if they were willing to fork out up to £400.

The 80-year-old actor hosted the David Jason & Friends exhibition in London where fans of hit TV series, Only Fools and Horses, were able to visit the reconstructed set and look inside Del Boy Trotter’s flat.

‘I am looking forward to the opportunity of meeting so many fans of Only Fools and Horses. It should be cushty,’ David said in a comment printed on the poster.

It advertised an autograph signing session with Sir David, as well as the chance to have a photo taken with him, a peek at authentic costumes and props from the actor’s career and also a meet-and-greet with some of his co-stars.

Fans were no doubt thrilled at the opportunity as it was the first time that David has attended an Only Fools and Horses convention.

But they needed to have saved a pretty penny if they wanted a photo with David which they could cherish forever.

The event offered various packages, starting off with bronze priced at £55 per person. It included entry, a free autograph, souvenir programme, a photo in the Trotter flat (but not with Sir David), a free autograph from each guest actor and access to the on-stage talk with all attending actors.

There was quite a big price jump from bronze to the silver package, which would have set the fan back a cool £255 per ticket.

It included all the above, plus an eight-page glossy wallet, a printed photo with David inside the Trotter flat complete with a mount and frame.

If event-goers really wanted the whole shebang, they would have had to pay £375 for the gold package, which featured everything from the previous offers plus an in-person autograph from David.

But the ultimate offer was the platinum package, which had the added bonus of the fan being able to ask Sir David one question at the Q&A. However, this wasn’t on offer to everyone and was on an invitation-only basis.

All tickets were non-refundable and non-transferable so, hopefully, they chose their package wisely.

According to the Del Boy Online Shop website, donations from the event will be gifted by both the organisers and Sir David to the charity Diabetes UK.

Boxer Ricky Hatton attended the event and sat next to Sir David on-stage where they shook hands for a photo.

Ozzy Osbourne vows to perform live again after Parkinson’s diagnosis: ‘I’m not ready to hang my mic up yet’

Ozzy Osbourne has vowed to return to the stage after coming clean about his Parkinson’s diagnosis – because it’s one of the main things keeping him going.

The 71-year-old Paranoid rocker appeared alongside wife Sharon Osbourne to talk about his health, joking he was ‘milking it’ as famous friends including Slash and Elton John rallied round him to offer their support.

Diagnosed with Parkin 2, gene that Ozzy was born with, the star’s health has deteriorated in recent years as the rare disorder works at a slower pace than what most know Parkinson’s to be.

But despite the disease, Ozzy hopes to return to the stage once again – and refuses to think of an alternative option.

‘My desire is to get back on stage,’ he said. ‘I’m not ready hang up my mic yet. That’s what I live for. To do shows.’

‘I exercise as much as I can, I have a trainer, I do pilates, I do all kinds… a masseuse, nurses 24/7…’ Ozzy continued.

‘But the best medication I can get is being in front of an audience. It’s breaking my heart to be honest.’

‘I will [perform again]. I am,’ he told Piers Morgan. ‘Absolutely. I will be up there. I have to say that.

‘I feel like you’re saying “What will you do if you can’t do it again?”. It’s not an option, because I will do it.’

In fact he’s so in love with the stage, he joked he would even trade in wife of 38 years, Sharon Osbourne.

‘I’ve known about the Parkinson’s since 2003, and I had it all my life,’ he added. ‘It’s not like the Michael J Fox one.’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.

Lady Gaga really does suffer for her art.

The singer shared clips of herself submerged in a freezing ice bath on the set of Stupid Love last month.

With hair pink hair tied up in a bun, Gaga sits totally naked and up to her neck in a tin bath of icy water.

And she revealed that her tub had a special tribute to her legions of loyal fans.

In the video, shared to her Instagram Stories, the Bad Romance singer said: ‘I’m in the f*****g desert, I’m in an ice bath, because I f*****g love my f*****g fans who are even on the side of this tub.’

She adds to the person filming her: ‘Show them where they are…’ and the camera moves down to reveal ‘Little Monsters’ printed on the side of her bath.

‘I love you Little Monsters. Stupid Love,’ Gaga adds, referencing her new single.

The 33-year-old usually takes an icy dip after a show to help her recover from energetic performances.

Stupid Love is the lead single from Gaga’s upcoming sixth studio album, rumoured to be titled Chromatica.

Sharing the inspiration behind her epic comeback track, Gaga told Kiss FM: ‘Stupid Love is a really special song to me. I worked on it with a few different people, Bloodpop and Tchami Being some of them as well as [producer] Max Martin.

‘I wrote this song with a lot of love in my heart and a lot of belief that the world operates because of kindness and love.

‘I think that for some of us, it’s easier to love and for others it’s harder to love and the more vulnerable we are, the more brave we are to open ourselves up, to really, really love each other.

‘I think that love heals the world, I think it keeps us together. It’s how we survive as a planet and I wanted to make a song that really celebrated love and reminded us all how important it is.’

Stupid Love, the video for which dropped last week, is on course to land the number one spot in the UK.

Amanda Bynes still loves Drake after that ‘murder my vagina’ tweet as she celebrates 14 month sobriety

Amanda Bynes has come a long way from tweeting about how she wanted Drake to ‘murder her vagina’.

But as she celebrates 14 months of sobriety, the former child star found time to show love for the Canadian rapper.

In a now deleted post, Amanda signalled that she’s still a big Champagne Papi fan, nearly eight years on from her infamous tweet.

The 33-year-old shared one of Drake’s posts and wrote: ‘Fav songs out now, DRAKE 1. Money in the grave 2. Yes Indeed, RODDY RICCH 1. Ballin 2. High Fashion [sic].’

Back in 2013, Amanda – who was undergoing personal and legal turmoil due to drug and mental health issues – tweeted: ‘I want @drake to murder my vagina.’

Drake responded to the post in an interview with XXL, saying: ‘I don’t even know who that is doing that or what that’s about.

Amanda Bynes
Amanda blamed the tweet on drugs (Picture: Neilson Barnard/Getty Images)

‘If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing. It’s obviously a behavioural pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going.’

And in 2017, Amanda apologised for the tweet, blaming drugs.

The Hairspray actress said: ‘I actually wasn’t being insincere. I was like saying murder my vagina.

‘I was serious, but I was also on drugs, so that was my way of saying like, “Let’s do it man”. But I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B9N2MbPB3AO/

‘He’s hot! What does that even mean? It just means, like, “F*** me, Drake!”‘

Amanda is now in a much better place, and took to Instagram to celebrate her sobriety.

Sharing pictures with friends, the Nickelodeon star wrote: ‘Celebrating being sober a year and two months!’

Last month, Bynes revealed she is engaged to a man named Paul, and apologised for previous tweets when she called celebrities ugly, saying: ‘I just wanted to post a video to say I’m sorry to everyone who I called ugly on Twitter. I was feeling so ugly at the time and it was really hard for me to express myself at the time because I was so drugged out and now I’ve remained sober for over a year- same with Paul.’

However, it is believed that Amanda’s parents do not approve of the engagement, and as her conservators, the wedding cannot go ahead without their permission.

New Rockstar Games image still doesn’t look like much of a GTA 6 tease

Mystery Rockstar Games image
This doesn’t seem like much of a clue for anything (pic: Rockstar Games)

There’s another unexplained new image on the Rockstar Games website but if it’s hinting at a new game it’s hard to tell what it is.

If Rockstar do or say anything at the moment then there’s an army of fans ready to explain how it’s all a blatant hint that Grand Theft Auto 6 is imminent.

The image discovered on their site last week was certainly odd, as the 80s style sexy robot design didn’t seem to match with any existing game, but the simplest guess was that it’s nothing specific and just a general image meant to promote Rockstar as a whole.

That seems even more likely with the new image above, which is just the Rockstar logo with a few catchphrases on it. Or is it?

Mysterious Rockstar Games artwork
The new image isn’t as distinctive as last week’s (pic: Rockstar Games)

Fans on Reddit went over the image with a fine-tooth comb, but while the phrase ‘Killing dreams murdering hope fighting the righteous bullying the weak’ sounds like it might be hinting at Bully 2, it’s actually something Rockstar has been using since at least 2014.

The phrase ‘Why don’t you tell me what went wrong?’ seems to be new but that doesn’t help, because if it’s referring to something specific it’s not obvious what.

The parallel lines on the image are reminiscent of anti-forgery marks on a bank note, which is certainly GTA-esque. Although money is hardly a subject limited to Grand Theft Auto.

Curiously, the image seem to have been taken down from its original location on the Rockstar website, but while some are trying to interpret the filename of 1GT3.jpg as a reference to GTA 3, and perhaps a remake of some sort, that seems a bit of a stretch.

Two new images in as many weeks is unusual but if these are meant to be hints at new games they couldn’t be more obscure. More likely they’re just meant to promote Rockstar as a whole and aren’t about anything specific.

That’s especially true given all the talk about a secret, hidden video on Rockstar’s YouTube channel turned out to be just another GTA Online update (one for what are essentially F1 cars).

If Rockstar are on the cusp of making an announcement it’s possible it could be part of a major reveal from Sony or Microsoft about their next generation consoles, something in turn which may have been delayed by the coronavirus outbreak.

In short, there’s nothing concrete to go on here at all and we wouldn’t put it past Rockstar to make more of these sorts of images just to mess with fans.

Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell cosy up on red carpet after totally denying engagement rumours

Joe and Dianne look all loved up on the red carpet despite laughing off engagement rumours (Picture: Backgrid)

YouTuber Joe Sugg and his girlfriend Dianne Buswell looked all loved up at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2020 after firmly denying they haven’t got engaged.

The stars, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 and have been together since, lit up the awards on Sunday night, Dianne in a stunning sequinned dress and Joe looking dapper at her side.

They turned up along with Joe’s cast mates from Waitress as he was nominated in the Supporting Actor – Musical category.

But despite looking all loved up, the couple’s appearance comes after they laughed off the suggestion they had got engaged.

Back in January they appeared on This Morning, where Holly Willoughby asked them if the speculation was true.

The pair said absolutely not.

‘No that’s not true, we’ve got a tour to get going, we haven’t got any time for that,’ Dianne, 30, said.

But that doesn’t mean they’re not clearly in love.

Sharing a snap of the two of them dressed up for the awards, Dianne wrote on Instagram: ‘The annual photo by the stairs. So proud of this boy. Heart of pure gold.’

Joe, 28, also posted a very cute selfie of the lovebirds together.

Members of the public nominate their favourite plays and stage performers across the UK in the annual WhatsOnStage Awards, which was held on Sunday 1 March.

Waitress was nominated eight times in six categories – Best Actor, twice for Best Actress, Best Actor in a Musical, twice for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical, Best New Musical, and New Musical.

The play didn’t end up winning any awards, though, pipped by stars like Fleabag’s Andrew Scott, who won for Present Laughter and The Crown’s Claire Foy, who won for her role in Lungs.

But Joe seemed happy with it all anyway.

On Twitter he wrote: ‘We may not have brought any awards home for @WaitressLondon tonight but the real prize was being reunited with my amazing cast mates who I’ve missed a lot!

‘Also all your lovely continued support has been the best to even say I’ve been nominated was a huge achievement for me.’

Riot’s tactical shooter, Valorant, officially announced for summer release

Originally codenamed Project A, Valorant is Riot Games’ own tactical shooter for PC, due out in the summer.

Over the weekend, one of Riot Games’ upcoming titles, Project A, was apparently leaked early, with its actual name, Valorant, quickly becoming known.

Some fans of the mystery title theorised that the leak meant we’d get an official announcement soon. And they were right.

For those who missed it, Valorant was originally announced last year, amongst a bunch of other projects, with the only info being that it would be a tactical shooter.

Earlier today, Riot provided more concrete details about the game, including a release window of summer 2020 and the launch of an official website and description:

‘… Valorant is a free-to-play game of precise skill, high stakes, lethal gameplay, and clutch moments that rewards creative gameplay styles. Valorant pits two teams of five players against each other to win a round-based, attackers vs defenders, best-of-24-rounds gunfight.

‘In Valorant, players choose from a diverse cast of hypernatural, battle-ready agents from real-world cultures and locations, each bringing a set of unique abilities that complement gunplay through tactical information and strategic support, changing the way players approach a situation. Abilities are designed to create tactical opportunities for players to take the right shot.’

So far, it sounds very much like Overwatch, especially in regards to its diverse cast, though with a much less cartoony art style judging by some alpha footage Riot has shared (though it’s possible it could change).

As it is, it bears more similarities to another PC tactical shooter with a strong competitive scene, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. That game had over 901,681 concurrent players, according to PCGamesN, in early February, smashing its previous record. Then, over the weekend, that record was broken again, with the game having 924,045 concurrent players. So Valorant clearly won’t be lacking in competition when it launches.

For those who may want more technical details, Riot also confirmed that the game will include 128-tick servers for all global players (which will also be free for everyone and upscale lagging players’ movement up to 128 frames per second), custom-built netcode, and proprietary anti-cheat prevention and detection from day one.

Currently, the plan is to release Valorant for PC, with no word on whether it will come to consoles. Considering Riot’s other free-to-play online multiplayer title, League Of Legends, was a PC exclusive for 10 years before a console port was announced, it’s unlikely Valorant will make the jump to consoles any time soon.

Valorant is scheduled to release this summer for PC.

Frankie Bridge used to carry plastic cutlery everywhere with her, because her obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) made her believe restaurants didn’t wash their metal cutlery properly.

The Saturdays star has been open about her experiences with depression and OCD, and in her new book Open, she shares how her OCD affected her daily life.

In an excerpt printed by The Sun, Frankie, 31, explained that she feared that cutlery in restaurants and hotels wouldn’t be clean.

The Ego singer wrote: ‘I went through a phase of carrying plastic cutlery everywhere.

‘We stopped off at so many service stations and I just couldn’t trust that the knives and forks had been cleaned properly.

‘The texture of the cutlery became an issue too – I couldn’t bear the feeling of tinny metal, or a bent prong, in my mouth.’

When is Doctor Who back on and who is the Timeless Child?

We are shook (Picture: BBC)

Doctor Who fans were left shaken after series 12 concluded last night with a dramatic and gripping finale.

Viewers finally discovered who the Timeless Child is, but the final episode of the season opened up just as many questions as it answered, closing with a gripping cliffhanger.

So, who is the Timeless Child, and when will Doctor Who return?

**If you haven’t caught up on last night’s show, avert your eyes, because spoilers lie ahead…**

Who is the Timeless Child?

The Timeless Child is… no other than The Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) herself.

The revelation The Doctor is the Timeless Child is the biggest twist in the show’s modern history – perhaps even its entire history.

It completely changes the dynamic of the show, and The Doctor’s regenerations are practically limitless now – and alters the Time Lords’ own origins.

The Doctor’s history has gradually revealed itself since the show’s conception and it was previously believed she was a renegade Time Lord.

However, last night’s episode revealed that she is so much more, and from a different species from another dimension altogether.

Upon finding out her identity, she said to Sacha Dhawan’s Master: ‘You’ve given me a gift… of myself. I contain multitudes more than I ever thought, or knew.’

Image still from the eries 12 finale of doctor who
The show will return… but when? (Picture: BBC)

The episode ended with an intense cliffhanger, leading viewers to question when the show will return.

It closed with The Doctor seemingly banished to ‘whole of life imprisonment’ after she had been zapped into a prison cell by the Judoon.

With no windows in sight – how, and when will she get out?

When will Doctor Who return for the Revolution of the Daleks?

Doctor Who bosses have confirmed that ‘The Doctor and her friends will be back for a one-off extended special around Christmas and New Year.’

Showrunner Chris Chibnall said: ‘We can’t leave the Doctor there! On that cliffhanger! Well, we did. But rest assured, the Doctor and her friends will be back for a one-off extended Special around Christmas and New Year.

I don’t know when they’re going to put it on yet, otherwise, we’d tell you!

‘There will be Daleks. There will be exterminations. Thrills, laughter, tears. You know. The usual. See you at the end of the year.’

Doctor Who's Jodie Whittaker
Things don’t look good for The Doctor…(Picture: BBC)

So, there you have it. The show will be back, but the date is yet to be confirmed.

The news comes after bosses revealed Doctor Who will return for a 13th season, despite a dip in ratings.

BBC drama controller threw his backing behind the show, when he told Deadline: ‘I worked on Doctor Who myself and produced it for many years and I can honestly say I don’t think it’s been in better health editorially.’

‘It will always be an important show for us and we’re a very long way from wanting to rest it.’

They have not yet confirmed when viewers can expect to see it with Chris telling EW: ‘It will be next year sometime, hopefully, unless my holiday goes on for a really long time, which is always tempting.’

Harvey Weinstein watches TV in first images from hospital as lawyer says convicted rapist is ‘going stir crazy’

Photos purporting to be of Harvey Weinstein watching TV and rubbing his balding head have emerged from Bellevue hospital following his recent rape conviction.

Weinstein is currently under guard in his Bellevue hospital room, after being admitted for suffering chest pains instead of being taken to Rikers Island jail ahead of his 11 March sentencing.

Last week he was found guilty on two out of five counts of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree, and could face up to 29 years in prison when he is sentenced this month.

However, following the conviction, Weinstein was handcuffed and led out of the courtroom while the judge said he will request that Weinstein be held in the infirmary after his lawyers said he needs medical attention following an unsuccessful back surgery.

Now in the first images purported to be of the disgraced Hollywood mogul, Weinstein can be seen in the cramped hospital TV room gazing up at the screen days after his spokesperson claimed he ‘stares at the four walls’ all day.

Wearing a white T-shirt, at one stage he appears to rub his head while a wheelchair is stationed nearby – however you cannot see his face.

It was previously claimed 67-year-old Weinstein’s room was apparently ‘bare’ with just a bed, stainless steel toilet with no seat and large windows, and guards are stationed outside his door, however in this room there appears to be several small lounges arranged in the middle.

According to a source who spoke to Pix11 – who first obtained the images – Weinstein ‘is free to roam and is not handcuffed.’

Adding that he is ‘treated like any other person’, they told the news outlet: ‘He is waking with the aide of a wheelchair. He is holding on to its handles to go to the TV room, using it as a walker, where he spent about an hour this morning and then walked himself back.’

Harvey Weinstein

It comes after Weinstein’s spokesperson said the former mogul is finding his stay in Bellevue difficult and is ‘very, very low’.

Juda Engelmayer, said he spent an hour and half with Weinstein on Friday, telling Reuters: ‘It’s scaring him. I think he’s melancholy. He’s very, very low right now.

‘He doesn’t like being left alone. When no one’s there, he said he’s just staring at the four walls. He can go stir crazy just staring at the emptiness.’

Last week his defence lawyer, Arthur Aidala claimed Weinstein was ‘unbelievably energised’ to ‘fight for justice’.

He told Page Six: ‘We left him at night after he was admitted. Yesterday morning, again with him at Bellevue hospital, I expected to see him distraught. He was unbelievably energized. Motivated to have his legal team fight for justice.’

One point they want to argue at an appeal is Juror 11, a woman who had written a novel about ‘predatory older men’ who they believed may have had a biased opinion, but this is just ‘one of’ the issues they had with the trial.

Weinstein went on trial in early January facing five charges of rape and sexual assault, all of which he pleaded not guilty to. A jury of seven men and five women found the disgraced producer guilty on the fifth day of deliberations.

The jury found Weinstein not guilty on the most serious charge, predatory sexual assault, which could have resulted in a life sentence for the former Hollywood producer. A judge ordered Weinstein to be jailed immediately after his conviction.

He’ll remain in custody until his 11 March sentencing. He faces up to 29 years in prison.

Lorraine Kelly revealed her daughter Rosie has been forced to self-isolate after being struck down with an illness in Singapore as the world stands still with fear over coronavirus.

The 60-year-old revealed her husband is flying out to be with their 24-year-old daughter, who is currently living in Singapore working in Public Relations, despite just suffering from ‘a bit of a cold’.

Lorraine explained her husband Steve Smith called to say Heathrow airport was totally dead as tourists avoid flying during the pandemic, joking this could well be the best time to plan a holiday.

Currently, coronavirus has been discovered in over 50 countries claiming more than 3,000 lives, mainly in China where the first case was reported.

Dr. Hilary Jones joined Lorraine today where he told viewers the elderly were most at risk and the ‘mortality rate will be higher than normal flu’.

‘We need to be careful,’ he stressed, but also assured audiences that right now we shouldn’t be too alarmed or think about self-isolation with less than 40 cases of the virus being confirmed in the UK.

‘Let it run,’ he insisted. ‘Most people will recover.’

Last week This Morning viewers freaked out after learning masks are totally useless to prevent the disease from spreading.

What is the coronavirus and where did it start?

Coronaviruses are a family of diseases which include the common cold and the virus which caused Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), which originated in China in 2002 and killed nearly 800 people around the world.

The virus causing concern now is a new strain which has made the jump from animals to people, named Covid-19.

It causes fever and a cough and can make it hard for people to breathe, causing viral pneumonia in severe cases.

Over 2,700 people worldwide have now died after contracting the illness.

How does it affect the lungs?

What are the symptoms of the virus?

The virus is more likely to progress into a severe illness or prove fatal among older patients or those with weakened immune systems.

As it is a viral illness, antibiotics will not help and there is no known cure or vaccine.

To avoid the illness, take usual hygiene precautions, such as using a tissue to cover coughs and sneezes, and making sure to wash your hands.

Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth after touching things like poles on public transport and avoid close contact with people suffering an acute respiratory infection.

You should also avoid unprotected contact with wild or farm animals.

So far, 13 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the UK.

Hundreds have been tested for it here, with most of the tests coming back negative.

How many people in the UK have it?

Is Coronavirus in the UK?

Where is Wuhan in China, where coronavirus started?

The virus originated in the city of Wuhan in China, where it is believed to have made the jump from animals to people at a seafood market.

Wuhan is the capital of China’s Hubei province, a landlocked province in central China.

It is built along the Yangtze river, and is around 500 miles west of Shanghai and 690 miles north of Hong Kong.

It is the largest and most populous city in central China, although estimates over its population vary.

And today, Dr. Hilary shut down another popular myth doing the rounds that drinking buckets of water will kill off coronavirus by producing stomach acid.

Sadly, ‘it’s total rubbish’, according to Hilary.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
