Looks like Daniel Craig is just as much a fan of birthdays as the rest of us.
The James Bond star turned 52 years old on Monday (2 March) and he definitely had a dose of birthday fever as he stepped out in New York to celebrate.
Daniel was spotted chatting with a neighbour, who was no doubt lavishing him with birthday wishes, as you would, and literally couldn’t stop smiling.
See it’s not all martinis and killing bad guys for Bond, 007 can grin like a Cheshire cat too.
Daniel was casually dressed in jeans, a light blue top and suede jacket for his birthday outing, and covered up behind a pair of shades.
His big day marks just over a month until the release of new Bond movie No Time To Die, which will be the last time fans see him star as James Bond after a successful run that started with Casino Royale four years ago.
That was when Daniel first starred as the much-loved secret agent back in 2006, before making a comeback as 007 for Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.
No Time To Die will be his fifth Bond film and Daniel confirmed it will be his last while appearing on The Late Show over in the US back in January.
He was asked on the show whether he is ‘done’ with James Bond and the actor replied: ‘Yes, it’s done.’
Fans are gearing up for the release of new movie No Time To Die next month, which will mark James Bond’s 25th anniversary, and director Cary Joji Fukunaga has been dishing the details on Daniel’s last run as Bond.
Promising fans that ‘everything that was left unsaid’ in Spectre will ‘finally be said’ this time round, Cary revealed: ‘The people close to Bond, those he considers to be family, are at great risk and now there is someone new out there, more dangerous than anyone he has ever encountered, and whoever they are is smarter and stronger than Spectre.
Speaking in a new featurette, he continued: ‘From the moment he’s called to action to the end of the film is a race, not only to save the world but their lives.
‘No Time To Die is a culmination of all that Bond has become, it’s all that he’s seen, all the trauma, the loss.’
Eek. We’re on the edge of our seats, already.
No Time To Die is in cinemas 2 April.
