Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has recently confessed that fan favourite River Song, played by actress Alex Kingston, may well return to the hit time-traveling BBC show alongside Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman.
Moffat introduced the world to the Doctor’s future/past/present wife (you work it out) in the amazing 2008 episode Silence in the Library, starring David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor.
Alex Kingston herself has also commented that she would love to return to Doctor Who.
So, with both not ruling out a River return, here’s just WHY it would be so good.
