Girl band G.R.L have announced they are to split, nine months after the untimely death of band member Simone Battle.
The group – best known for the hit Ugly Heart, which reached number 11 in the UK charts in 2014 – confirmed the news via a statement from their management and record labels RCA and Kemosabe.
‘Nearly nine months following the tragic death of band member Simone Battle, girl group GRL. announces today that they are disbanding,’ the statement said.
‘We wish them continued success in each of their next creative endeavours.’
