It’s still a very long way off – but Steven Spielberg’s big screen adaptation of the sci-fi novel Ready Player One has already been given a release date.
Even though the film hasn’t even gone before the cameras yet – with the director still working on his adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The BFG – Warner Bros have announced it’ll be hitting screens on December 15 2017.
‘Any film from Steven Spielberg is an event film, so it felt right to date this thrilling new project from one of our greatest filmmakers for the holiday season,’ the studio’s president of domestic distribution Dan Feldman said in a statement.
