Simon Cowell has admitted that watching himself becoming emotional during The X Factor auditions was not easy.
Viewers saw the mogul fighting back tears on the auditions show last Sunday night as hopeful Josh Daniel delivered a heartfelt rendition of Labrinth’s Jealous – which he dedicated to a friend who had died two years earlier.
Simon – whose mother Julie Brett died shortly before auditions began – was seen leaving in a golf cart afterwards.
And speaking to The Sun, he confessed that seeing the footage was difficult but ultimately cathartic.
‘Of course, it brought it all back. It is a very difficult thing to know what to do,’ he said.
