Plankton may be Spongebob Squarepant’s nemesis but BBC Earth and Nickelodeon have now teamed up for this new video to show Spongebob and the world why Plankton and his pals are actually pretty important for our ecosystem.
Like, did you know that without the organism plankton, we’d have no crude oil and therefore no electricity? And therefore we wouldn’t be able to drive or fly?
It’s just a shame Plankton can’t help but be his usual antagonistic self while teaching us really important facts.
