His merits as a presenter have divided opinion in the past, but nobody can deny that Chris Moyles has always benefited from a near fanatical fan base, despite not being on the radio for three years.
Now the controversial DJ has answered the prayers of Moyles Militants nationwide by announcing a permanent gig on newly re-branded XFM incarnation Radio X.
Moyles left the breakfast show slot on BBC Radio 1 in 2011 after a 14 year career at the station.
He was the longest serving breakfast show host in history, beating previous record holder Tony Blackburn in 2009, and fans of the lard-loving Leeds Lad were crestfallen at his departure.
