Kate Beckinsale’s ex-boyfriend Matt Rife has thrown a hella shade at the actress, telling her new man Pete Davidson to ‘run’.

Matt and Kate met back in 2017 and he had been just 21 when the pair first got together. They dated for a year, but things didn’t work out and he now describes their relationship as ‘complicated’.

Pearl Harbour star Kate is now dating Saturday Night Live host Pete Davidson and after months of hinting at their romance, they finally confirmed they are officially an item with a tongue-filled and out-there PDA at a New York Rangers hockey game.

TMZ spoke to Matt about Kate’s new relationship and asked him if he had any advice for Pete.

A little hesitant at first, Matt then joked: ‘Advice for Pete? Man to man? Run. Enjoy it while you can.’

‘I hope they’re both happy,’ he added. ‘I don’t really have any solid advice, just be careful.’

Speaking about his relationship with Kate, Matt, who said he hasn’t spoken to Kate for over a year, told the publication: ‘We dated for a year and it was complicated, for sure.

‘A lot of ups and downs, but she’s moved on and I’m happy, I hope they’ve both found or get out of it what they want to get out of it.’

He was asked, if things didn’t work out with her and Pete, would he want to get back with Kate, but done and dusted with the star, Matt replied: ‘No absolutely not. Not a chance.’

Ouch.

Pete and Kate first set tongues wagging about a potential romance after flirting with one another at the Golden Globes and have since been pictured holding hands on multiple occasions.

Insiders told Us Weekly: ‘Kate is so into Pete and has been telling all her friends about him.

‘They have great chemistry, and she loves hanging out with him whenever they get the chance. She has such a fun, young, loving personality and is happy with him.’

‘Pete only has eyes for Kate. She’s cool and fun. It’s long-distance, but they’re taking it slow,’ they added.

Pete was previously engaged to Ariana Grande. Their whirlwind five-month romance came to an end in October last year – shortly after the death of Ariana’s ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.

Ariana has said she is ‘still healing’ from Mac’s death and her split with Pete, but proved there is no bad blood between herself and comedian Pete – giving his new romance her seal of approval.

Asked about Pete and Kate, she said she thinks the couple are ‘so cute’ together.

R Kelly breaks down in tears as he denies allegations of sexual abuse in first interview since being charged

R Kelly has given his first interview since being charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and insisted the allegations made against him are ‘not true’.

Kelly was freed from jail after posting $100k of his $1million bail and is set to appear in court, after being charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse on four victims – three of which were underage at the time.

He pleaded not guilty and has now insisted on his innocence in his first TV interview since being charged.

Kelly appeared on CBS’ This Morning where he broke down in tears over the allegations and stressed that they are not true.

He claimed that he would be ‘stupid’ to have engaged in such allegations, given his past sexual abuse cases that he was not convicted for.

CBS teased the interview with Kelly on Twitter, with the Ignition hit-maker saying in the clip: ‘People are going back to my past… they are trying to add all of this stuff now to that, to make all of this stuff going on feel real to people.’

He denied that his past was relevant to new claims made against him because he ‘beat his case’ when previously trialled for different sexual abuse allegations.

‘Whether they’re old rumours, new rumours, future rumours, they’re not true,’ he said.

Kelly broke down in tears when asked by interviewer Gayle King if he had ‘ever held anybody against his will’.

He told King such accusations were ‘stupid’ before emotionally declaring he is ‘fighting for his life’.

Kelly, which has dogged him most of his career. (Photo by Frank Micelotta/Invision/AP, File)

Kelly said: ‘I don’t need to, why would I, how stupid would I be… all that I’ve been through in my past to hold somebody… how stupid would I be to do that? That’s stupid guys.

‘Use your common sense, forget how you feel about me, hate me if you want to, love me if you want to… how stupid would it be for my crazy past and what I’ve been through.

‘Stop it, y’all quit playing. I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fighting for my fucking life.’

Kelly is due to appear in court on the charges on 8 March, where if convicted, he could receive a sentence of up to 70 years in jail.

Attorney Michael Avenatti has worked closely in the case against the star, and has confirmed he’s handing over a sex tape that allegedly shows Kelly performing sexual acts with a 14-year-old to the prosecution.

R Kelly has continued to deny all of the charges made against him, and his lawyer Steve Greenberg has maintained his innocence – insisting in a statement that the ‘accusers were mistakenly coached into believing they were victims’.

Los Angeles police have stepped up security around Michael Jackson’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

TMZ reports that LAPD are increasing their patrols around MJ’s star to fend off any attempts of vandalism following backlash over HBO’s Leaving Neverland documentary.

Leaving Neverland interviews two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who have accused Jackson of sexually abusing them when they were children.

The controversial documentary explores their allegations in graphic detail and left viewers ‘seriously traumatised’ when it aired in the US.

Its second part was broadcast on Monday night and was branded ‘hard to watch’ by viewers, with an hour-special where Oprah Winfrey interviewed Robson and Safechuck following straight after.

LAPD are concerned his star will be vandalised (Picture: WireImage)

Michael Jackson’s estate are suing HBO for $100million over the documentary and his family have spoken out against Leaving Neverland, insisting the claims made in it are not true and Jackson’s accusers are just ‘trying to make money’.

MJ fans targeted Oprah for being a ‘hypocrite’ and a ‘liar’ for interviewing his accusers, while many have expressed their outrage at the documentary.

Others are supportive of Robson and Safechuck’s story and say the documentary had been ‘disturbing’.

Law enforcement has reportedly told TMZ that they are well aware of the heated controversy and are actively doing ‘extra patrols’ of the area where Jackson’s star sits.

They added that there are also surveillance cameras monitoring his star ‘at all times’.

Despite MJ’s estate trying to prevent Leaving Neverland from being shown on TV, the documentary has now been picked up globally and will broadcast worldwide to 130 different territories.

It will air in the UK on Channel 4 on 6 and 7 March.

Jennifer Saunders has landed her first dramatic role in new series The Stranger, set to air on Netflix.

Harlan Coben’s 2015 novel The Stranger is being made into an eight-part thriller for the streaming service and will air in the US and the UK, with Richard Armitage at the helm as lead character Adam Price.

It tells the story of Price, a man who seems to have the perfect life until he meets a stranger in a bar (played by Ant Man’s Hannah John-Kamen) who tells him a ‘devastating secret’ about his wife.

Netflix teases: ‘Soon Adam finds himself tangled in something far darker than even Corinne’s deception, and realises that if he doesn’t make exactly the right moves, the conspiracy he’s stumbled into will not only ruin lives — it will end them.’

Richard Armitage will play the lead Adam Price (Picture: Getty Images)

Little more is known about the series so far, but it’s now been revealed Jennifer will be joining the cast as Heidi, the close friend of DS Johanna Griffin played by Downtown Abbey star Siobhan Finneran.

Heidi is seeking adventure after her daughter leaves for university, but we’re thinking she ends up in the tangled mess Price gets himself into after the mysterious stranger’s bombshell.

It’s the first dramatic role for the Absolutely Fabulous star, who will appear in the series alongside Anthony Head and Stephen Rea.

The Stranger author Coben will act as an executive producer on the series, and so far, all we know is that it’s set to start filming in March and when it does eventually drop on Netflix we’ll be given eight hours worth of episodes to binge watch.

Jennifer will be back to spoof Mamma Mia for Comic Relief (Picture: BBC)

Until then, though, fans can see Jennifer in Rebel Wilson’s anti rom-com Isn’t It Romantic or spoofing Mamma Mia once again for Comic Relief.

The 60-year-old actress and comedian parodied the first ABBA musical film with comedy partner Dawn French for the BBC charity drive 10 years ago, and now she’s doing it all over again, taking aim at the film’s sequel, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again.

Dawn won’t be back this time round, but Alan Carr will be back to play Colin Firth’s Harry.

Jennifer told The Sun: ‘If I could have lived on the fake Mamma Mia set for the past year, I would have been very happy. This is one of the silliest things I’ve done. But, my God, I enjoy it.’

Demi Lovato hasn’t relapsed since her overdose last year and voluntarily checked herself into rehab, according to reports.

The 26-year-old was recently seen out in Los Angeles for the first time since her month-long rehab stint and new reports claim Demi’s latest treatment was a voluntary decision she made – not because of a speculated relapse.

People reports that Demi chose to enter a facility for a ‘one trip treatment’, with her stay being her ‘own decision’.

The source told the publication: ‘[Demi] has not relapsed since she overdosed. She did recently go to a facility, but it was her own decision. It was one trip to a treatment facility for a few weeks outside of Los Angeles.’

They added that Demi is now back home ‘taking care of herself’ and is in a ‘positive place’, thanks to working out and getting back in the studio to work on new music.

Metro.co.uk contacted a rep for Demi.

Demi’s rehab stint came after she was targeted by online trolls after laughing at 21 Savage memes made over his ICE arrest.

She stressed that she had been laughing at the fact nobody knew 21 was actually a UK citizen, not that he had faced deportation, but that didn’t stop her from being inundated by vile comments referencing her overdose.

Before quitting Twitter, Demi hit back: ‘Wasn’t laughing at anyone getting deported. I know that’s not a joke… Not have I EVER laughed at that (sic).

‘The meme I posted / was talking about was of him being writing with a feather pen. Sorry if I offended anyone. But it’s no excuse to laugh at someone’s addiction let alone their OD.’

Demi was hospitalised in July last year after an overdose at her home and left treatment in November.

She celebrated reaching six months sober in January by getting a rose tattoo inked onto her finger that she told fans she was ‘obsessed’ with.

Previously speaking about her recovery, Demi has said: ‘Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today.

‘But until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up shit that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal..’

Danny DeVito may have taken a tumble in front of an entire room full of journalists and photographers, but that didn’t stop him from cracking a joke.

The Hollywood star had been appearing at a press junket held in Mexico for new Disney movie Dumbo, but tripped and fell over his feet as he walked up the stairs onto the stage.

The fall was caught on camera by Twitter account, Uno TV, and the crowd are heard gasping while Danny is helped to his feet.

But, it’ll take more than some pesky stairs to keep Danny DeVito down and he was quick to reassure everyone he was OK, while showcasing his sense of humour.

‘No printing that picture,’ Danny joked, leaving those in the room laughing as he took his seat.

Danny plays ringmaster Max Medici in the live-action remake of the Disney classic, directed by Tim Burton.

The 74-year-old stars in the film alongside Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton and Eva Green.

It’s set to hit the big screen at the end of this month and fans have already been treated to two trailers, with the movie’s latest teaser showing the heartbreaking scene where Dumbo is separated from her mother.

No, you’re crying.

Dumbo is just one of many Disney live-action remakes in the pipeline, with The Lion King, Mulan, Aladdin and The Little Mermaid all in the works.

Dumbo is set to be released in cinemas March 2019.

Luke Perry’s son Jack has cancelled his appearance at a Bar Wrestling event taking place on 13 March.

Jack is a professional wrestler and goes by the name of Jungle Boy, but has decided to pull out of the event following his father’s death.

Riverdale star Luke passed away, aged 52, on Monday morning at St Joseph’s hospital in Burbank. He had been hospitalised after suffering a stroke at home and was placed under observation by doctors.

Less than a week later, Luke died surrounded by his friends and family, including son Jack, 21, and daughter Sophie, 18.

Bar Wrestling confirmed Jack will no longer take part in the wrestling event next week via Twitter.

They tweeted: ‘Unfortunately Jungle Boy will no longer be wrestling at our March 13th show. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this time.’

Luke had been an avid supporter of Jack’s wrestling career and shortly after news of his passing, sweet pictures circulated of the actor cheering Jack on from the crowd at one of his matches.

New reports claim that Luke has left everything to his two children, he shares with ex-wife Rachel, in his will.

Instagram Photo

A source told Radar Online that Luke had put together a will, splitting his fortune between his kids, several years before his death and after a colorectal cancer scare in 2015 – doctors found and removed precancerous growths.

‘He didn’t want to leave anything to chance,’ they said.

Luke’s daughter Sophie broke her silence on social media following his death and said she was ‘grateful’ for the outpouring of love she and her family have received.

Alongside a picture of herself and dad Luke, Sophie wrote: ‘I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family. And in the past 24 hours I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support.

‘I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages, but I see them, and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I.

Luke was known more recently by fans for playing Fred Andrews in Riverdale, but fans will also know him for starring in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and finding fame as Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210.

He starred in the 90s series alongside Shannen Doherty, who has said she is ‘struggling to cope’ with news of Luke’s death.

Since his passing was confirmed, many of Luke’s co-stars from over the years, including Riverdale and 90210, have paid tribute to him.

Michael Jackson supporters are planning protest against Leaving Neverland documentary hours before it airs in the UK

Michael Jackson supporters are planning to protest against Channel 4 airing HBO’s Leaving Neverland documentary that explores allegations of sexual abuse made against the star.

Leaving Neverland is scheduled to broadcast in the UK tonight (6 March) on Channel 4, with the network previously stating it was amping up security ahead of the documentary’s airing due to backlash.

The controversial doc has already aired in the US, leaving viewers ‘seriously traumatised’ – due to the graphic detail it goes into about Wade Robson and James Safechuck’s claims that MJ sexually abused them when they were children.

Channel 4’s Jasmine Dotiwala tweeted plans of a protest against Leaving Neverland in Westminster hours before the documentary is set to air.

She said: ‘UK TV News teams. Here’s an easy bit of footage for you to grab tomorrow. Michael Jackson documentary protesters will be demonstrating from noon-3pm tmrw from Westminster to @Channel4 #LeavingNeverland.’

Michael Jackson’s estate tried to get the documentary pulled and have filed a $100million lawsuit against HBO – they have strongly denied the allegations made against the Billie Jean hit-maker.

Michael’s family have also said the claims made in Leaving Neverland are not true and accused Robson and Safechuck of ‘trying to make money’.

Leaving Neverland concluded with the second of its two-hour specials on Monday night in the US, with viewers tweeting they were left ‘disturbed’ by the show and that it had been ‘hard to watch’.

While many have shown their support for Robson and Safechuck, MJ fans are standing by the singer and criticised the documentary for being ‘one-sided’.

They also took aim at Oprah Winfrey, who hosted an hour-long interview with his accusers straight after Leaving Neverland finished, accusing her of ‘taking sides’ with Robson and Safechuck.

Reports claim that Los Angeles police have now upped security around Michael’s Hollywood star on the Walk of Fame, concerned by the backlash Leaving Neverland has had.

They are making extra patrols around the site and surveillance cameras have been put into use at ‘all times’.

Leaving Neverland airs on Channel 4 on 6 March.

Lisa Armstrong has been throwing herself into work since her divorce from Ant McPartlin and her latest venture has seen her join the team of TOWIE.

The Daily Mirror reports Lisa has landed herself a new make up artist job on the ITVBe reality show, after impressing bosses.

A source told the publication: ‘As well as her regular stint doing make up on Strictly, TOWIE is another opportunity which [Lisa] grasped with both hands.

‘Everyone was delighted with how it went and they will be using her again lots.’

A spokesperson for TOWIE confirmed that Lisa and her team had supplied hair and make up, adding they did a ‘fantastic job’.

Lisa previously worked on Britain’s Got Talent as a make up artist for 12 years, but was axed in December following her ex-husband Ant’s return to the show.

He took an extended break from TV to focus on his recovery following a drink-drive incident and its thought Lisa’s axing as head make up artist was to ensure a smooth comeback for Ant.

But not letting that get to her, Lisa has thrown herself into a number of new business ventures, including a collaboration with Avon UK and a new dating show.

Lisa stars on The Updaters which will see her sprucing up dating contestants ahead of their dates.

She and Ant divorced in October last year and her heartache has played out in the public eye over the last 12 months, as Ant has since been flaunting his new relationship with Lisa’s former friend Anne-Marie Corbett.

Reports claim Lisa is on the way to ‘getting her sparkle back’, though, as she is said to have enjoyed a string of dates with chef James Howarth recently.

Sources said: ‘They were extremely tactile with one another and Lisa was clearly enjoying the attention. He was just making her laugh all the time.

‘They seemed only to have eyes for each other. It was like no one else was in the room — it was lovely to see.’

Sex Pistols leadman Johnny Rotten has shared his heartbreak at the death of his friend, Keith Flint, after the Prodigy performer passed away earlier this week.

Speaking on the death of the 49-year-old, whose body was found in his Essex home on Monday morning, Johnny claimed the music industry had left Keith ‘alone’ and ‘unloved’ following his success in the 90s.

While heading into the premiere of Epix’s Punk at SIR in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening, the 63-year-old urged his musical comrades to make sure the same fate didn’t happen to anyone else in a similar position and that they could speak to him.

‘My heart is broken for him. He was a good friend of mine,’ the God Save The Queen singer said as he began to tear up.

‘Nobody loved him and he was left alone and he got destroyed.

‘Why? Do so many people in this industry be left alone? Come to me, I’m Johnny.’

He added to TMZ: ‘What you’ve got to understand is, were not looking after each other anymore … any of you out there, come talk to me. Alright? Come talk to me. We do not need to die.’

Keith was found dead at his home on Monday morning in Dunmow, Essex. Police confirmed he had passed away in statement, confirming that the star was ‘pronounce dead at the scene’ and his death is ‘not being treated as suspicious’.

His cause of death hasn’t yet been confirmed, but Keith’s bandmate Liam Howlett told fans he took his own life.

It comes as the group, famous for tracks Breathe and Firestarter, announced on Twitter overnight that all their future shows will be ‘cancelled with immediate effect’, after the group issued a statement about the death of their bandmate.

His last performance with Prodigy was on 5 February at the The Trusts Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. They were set to headline London’s SW4 festival, which takes place on Clapham Common on 24 and 25 August.

Tributes poured in for the star from the likes of The Chemicals Brothers, Chase & Status, Kasabian and Jo Whiley.

Piers Morgan rages on ‘not that hot’ Kylie Jenner’s bilionaire status as he brands mum Kris a ‘pimp’

Kylie Jenner is celebrating being the youngest ‘self-made’ billionaire, thanks largely to her lip-kit empire.

But, while we’re all enjoying the 21-year-old’s triumph, Piers Morgan is basically spitting fire over the whole thing.

In fact, the presenter went on a huge rant during Good Morning Britain, claiming she’s only famous and rich because sister Kim Kardashian made a sex tape with Ray J 12 years ago.

Side note: Why are we still bringing that damn tape up? It has been over a decade.

‘Wait a minute, when you say self-made billionaire? I just thought she got it because her sister made a sex tape, and that’s why they’ve all become hugely rich,’ the 53-year-old began. ‘If Kim Kardashian hadn’t made a sex tape which then got leaked, and she took ownership of it and made millions, then built a whole billion-dollar family franchise out of it, none of them would ever have been heard of.

‘When you say “self-made” billionaire, what you mean is, her sister had sex with somebody, the tape got leaked and the whole family cashed in,’ he fumed, with some dandy air-quotes thrown in for good measure over the words ‘leaked’ and ‘cashed in’.

Despite Susanna Reid trying to calm him down, Piers took his fury up a notch, bringing Kylie’s looks into question.

‘The thing about Kylie Jenner, she’s not even that good looking, is she? She’s not,’ he said. ‘I would have her number four on the list of Kardashians, and the two above her aren’t much better.

‘I’m not being rude, the only hot Kardashian is Kendall, none of them are that hot. If they weren’t Kardashians famous for the sex tape – that’s how they all became known – if they weren’t Kardashians, they would not get in to the average Croydon nightclub. The bar is set pretty low in Croydon, as we know.

‘I think Kendall is the only one who you could say is model quality. She could be a supermodel. Kylie is as dim as a rock of bricks.

‘What does this say about our society, that these talentless, vacuous twerps are billionaires?

‘The only good thing of this is Kim will be seething. She made the sex tape, she owned the sex tape, she had to perform… Poor Kim, she put the yards in for the tape. Ray J, why have his siblings not become billionaires? It’s so unfair.’

Is a ‘rock of bricks’ even a thing?

However, Piers saved the most vicious part of his rant for momager Kris Jenner, branding her a ‘pimp’.

‘Good old Kris, well every pimp needs to make money…,’ he added. ‘If you make money out of your daughter’s sex tape, what are you?

‘We don’t want young girls to think the way to get on is to be a Kardashian, because that way madness lies. Seriously, madness lies. Make a sex tape, make a billion.

‘Especially with International Women’s Day coming up, is this what we’re celebrating?’

Can we all just calm down a second?

Forbes confirmed Kylie’s billionaire status on 5 March, announcing she had hit the milestone two years before Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Speaking about the success, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star revealed the accolade is a ‘nice pat on the back’.

It’s a little more than that, hun…

‘I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future,’ she told Forbes.

‘But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.’

Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays, at 6am, on ITV.

Sarah Michelle Gellar totally forgot it was 20th anniversary of Cruel Intentions and same girl

Sarah Michelle Geller has voiced her utter disbelief the classic 90s flick Cruel Intentions has just turned 20.

The flick that cast her as a sociopathic high schooler who snorts ~suspicious substances~ from a crucifix necklace is just one year off from the legal drinking age in the US and Sarah, who played Kathryn, totally forgot it was that time of year.

To be honest, we forgot as well – time really flies when you’re having fun.

Taking to Instagram to voice the shookethness with the rest of us about the whole thing, the 41-year-old star – who’s married to fellow teen dream Freddie Prinze Jnr – shared the poster of the flick, which also featured Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon and Selma Blair.

Reese, so pure (Picture: Getty Images)

G-darn the 90s were good.

‘Wait…today 20 years?!? I literally just realised today is the actual anniversary,’ she wrote as we all snapped back to reality (oh there goes gravity).

‘Well 20 years later I may be even more proud of this film.’

Instagram Photo

She added, as she tagged the cast and crew: ‘Not very often do you get to be a part of cinema, that holds the test of time. @rogerkumbleyou are the most wonderfully disturbed person I know and I love you. @reesewitherspoon @selmablair@ryanphillippe (and not pictured @seanpthomas @vancityjax) you are even better actors and better people then you were then.

‘Forget me- everybody loves this film and I intend to keep it that way.’

Well, when you put it like that, I suppose we’re due for an anniversary viewing.

For those that need a refresher on the whole plot of the angsty teen drama (that’s grossed $76 million [£58 million] at the box office) with more pouts and nonchalant stares than a Kardashian Instagram feed, the movie centred on step-siblings, Sebastian and Kathryn, who were out for blood.

Based at an elite Manhattan prep school, Kathryn bets Ryan’s character Sebastian he can’t take the v-plates from sweet baby angel Annette (played by Reese) before the start of the term.

Oh boy, you should see her face when he *spoiler alert* does.

Of course as all teen dramas of the 90s go, though, he totally fell in love with Annette while out to destroy his sister and, yeah, didn’t really work in his favour, did it?

Piers Morgan has directed his fury at Steve Coogan over his new Alan Partridge show, This Time.

While we’ve all been loving the actor back on our screens, the 53-year-old isn’t so keen on the show, which makes fun of the Good Morning Britain presenter and co-star Susanna Reid.

However, the journalist attempted to have the last laugh after stating the ratings are down, hinting it is because the actor has ‘disappeared up his own bum’.

Charming…

‘Very sad news that the new Alan Partridge show, called This Time, which obviously mocks me and Susanna…,’ he said on the latest instalment of the breakfast show.

‘Which I love,’ Susanna chipped in.

Piers continued: ‘Steve Coogan is trying to exact revenge on me because he now hates everything to do with newspapers… He’s become a real moaning Minnie, hasn’t he?

‘All the press came out, “It’s all based on Piers Morgan, there’s a Susanna Reid figure…” Ratings have halved week on week. Not just slipped by 10-20%, they’re over 40% down. Literally, nobody is now watching. I watched it last night…’

Kind of negating your own point there, hun…

‘I used to love Alan Partridge, he used to be hilarious, brilliant. It is now utterly unwatchable. Because Coogan has disappeared up his derriere, unfortunately,’ he added.

‘So anyway, very sad news for him, my thoughts are with him at this difficult time. There probably won’t be a third episode… There might be a third episode, there won’t be a fourth.’

Despite ‘literally nobody watching’ This Time, a new series of the Alan Partirdge show is confirmed to be in the works – and filming is due to start very soon.

Count us in!

During an appearance on the Empire Film Podcast, co-writers Neil and Rob Gibbons explained: ‘There are other formats on our list, one of which we’re – I don’t know if we can talk about it – but we’re about to shoot another Partridge series.’

They didn’t give out any other details, but hinted it will see Alan ‘trying his hand at something else’.

Vikings star Katheryn Winnick looks like she’s living her best life.

After scooping WIN’s best actress earlier this month, then attending Elton John’s annual Oscars party, the 41-year-old has now gone and rubbed shoulders with the stars of Captain Marvel.

When making her red carpet debut at the world premiere, the Lagertha actress found herself next to the one and only Samuel L Jackson and ended up giving the 70-year-old a hug before posing for pictures.

The pair looked to be in high spirits as they embraced while engaging in what appeared to be some deep conversation.

Fangirling over the icon, Katheryn shared the sweet moment with her Instagram followers – and it has given us all the feels.

Alongside the short clip, she wrote: ‘Happy to see this guy @Samuelljackson,’ with Pharrell William’s Happy playing in the background.

She later shared a picture of herself on the red carpet, where she said: ‘What a night! Thank you @marvel for a wonderful evening at the world premiere of Captain Marvel. x’

Looking like a mini Captain Marvel herself, fans were quick to pull out their similarities, and told the star: ‘You are my Carol Danvers.’

While others added: ‘Should have been you cast in the lead role,’ and: ‘That was your role!’

But while both Marvel and Vikings fans might have wished Katheryn had landed the lead, it was actually Brie Larson who took the role – and we know she will be incredible.

Appearing on the red carpet alongside Katheryn, the 29-year-old paid homage to Captain Marvel as she dressed in a silver star embroidered gown – a symbol much associated with the iconic superhero.

She’d even teamed the look with matching earrings, which she showed off while posing for pictures by pushing her hair to one side.

Talking about how she prepared for the role, the actress revealed she had to be trained to ‘look cool.’

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she told the host: ‘I trained for nine months and got super strong.

‘But then you also have to learn weird things, like how to make a cool face.’

Captain Marvel is released in UK cinemas on 8 March.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have been snubbed at the 2019 RTS Programme Awards after failing to secure a nomination for the first time in nine years.

The Britain’s Got Talent and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! duo were missed off the list at the upcoming ceremony, which celebrates the ‘extraordinary talent evident across the UK’s television,’ and we don’t doubt that Kerry Katona will be happy about the news.

The Voice’s Jennifer Hudson, Big Narstie and Mo Gilligan go head-to-head with Michael McIntyre for the Best Entertainment Performance gong instead.

In the wake of Ant’s drink-driving arrest and return to rehab, the pair didn’t make an appearance at the event hosted at London’s Grosvener House Hotel last year despite being up for the prize – and they left empty handed too.

Despite the presenters being overlooked, Britain’s Got Talent has been nominated for the Entertainment Award alongside The Last Leg and Don’t Hate The Playaz.

Ant and Dec won Best TV Presenter at the National Television Awards 2019, marking their 18th win in a row for the category, with Dec saying: ‘This is a genuine shock especially this year. I’m shaking here.

‘I want to say thank you to everybody. I really don’t feel like I can accept the award this year.’

Killing Eve is topping the nominations, with Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh both battling it out for Best Female Actor, on top of the show being up for Best Drama Series alongside Peaky Blinders and Save Me.

The RTS Programme Awards ‘recognises programmes which, in the year in question, have made a material and positive contribution to their genre: either because their originality in form or content has in some way moved the genre on, or perhaps created a new genre; or because their quality has set standards which other programme-makers can learn from and emulate.’

Winners will be announced at the Royal Television Society Programme Award’s Ceremony, hosted by Shappi Khorsandi, on Tuesday 19 March.

Days Gone hands-on preview and interview – ‘we have the ingredients to create a really unique experience’

Days Gone - has the Sony formula run into trouble?
Days Gone – has the Sony formula run into trouble?

GameCentral plays the opening few hours of Sony’s latest PS4 exclusive and speaks to the director about open world zombie fatigue.

Regardless of all their other successes this generation, perhaps the most important achievement for Sony is that the PlayStation 4 has played host to their most consistent run of critically and commercially successful exclusives since they entered the games industry. From Horizon Zero Dawn to God Of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man, Sony has much to be proud of. But their developers also have something to be afraid of: who will be the one to break the combo?

Of course, not every exclusive has been a classic but the benefit that something like Detroit: Become Human has is that at least it can’t be accused of following what has become known as the ‘Sony formula’. Almost all the PlayStation 4’s major first and second party exclusives are single-player, story-led games with an open, or at least expansive, game world to explore. That’s not necessarily a problem, especially when the games are good, but it’s a little worrying just how familiar Days Gone seems.

According to writer and director John Garvin, Bend Studio – best known for the Syphon Filter series – were allowed free reign to pitch any game idea they wanted. Which makes it hard to fathom why they went with an open world, post-apocalyptic zombie game that not only seems immediately reminiscent of a dozen other games but also Sony’s own The Last Of Us. If you’ve seen trailers for the game before then you’ll probably be able to imagine exactly how Days Gone works, and that’s kind of the problem.

Although The Last Of Us never had an open world environment the style of storytelling in Days Gone is very similar. We played three hours of the game, starting with the first half hour, where biker Deacon St. John and his brother (or perhaps his friend, we weren’t entirely clear) ‘Boozer’ are trying to get his injured wife onto a helicopter during the initial zombie outbreak. There’s not enough room for all three so Deacon elects to stay behind and help his brother, only to later find out that his wife has died at a refugee camp.

There are what seem to be frequent flashbacks to Deacon’s courtship with his wife, who it’s implied works for an Umbrella-like entity that has something to do with the outbreak, but the majority of the game involves Deacon and Boozer trying to make ends meet in the new post-apocalyptic world. Although they have their own base of operations there are numerous larger camps run by survivors, that range from relatively trustworthy survival nuts to a cult of self-harming maniacs who attack everyone on sight.

These camps are used to pick up side missions and trade at shops, and to upgrade your bike – which is key to your exploration of the game world. Petrol is a vital resource, so you have to keep a careful eye on your supply or risk being stranded out in the middle of nowhere with no easy way to get back.

The game’s key selling point though, as evidenced from its very first trailer, is that there can be hundreds of zombies in the same place, with Garvin talking about them migrating across the country and occupying a specific role in a new post-apocalyptic ecosystem. That does sound interesting, although in the three or so hours we got to play the game all we saw were a dozen or so together, suggesting it’s not a problem you’ll run into constantly.

Days Gone - zombies, zombies everywhere
Days Gone – zombies, zombies everywhere

The chances are increased at night though, as zombies (for some reason the game calls them ‘freakers’) hibernate during the day in ‘nests’ which you’re advised to clear out while you have the chance to reduce the overall number in the area. There’s lots of other hidden secrets to discover as you ride around, many of them of the Fallout style skeletons-that-tell-a-story-kind, but it’s definitely the zombies themselves which are the most distinctive aspect of the game.

Even in small crowds it’s wise to use stealth whenever possible, which leads to a lot of creeping around abandoned buildings and waiting till zombies move on or are distracted by food or noise. The stealth mechanics are very run of the mill but when there are a lot of zombies around it can get pretty tense as you try to avoid making noise that will attract them all at once.

Everything works as advertised with Days Gone but even in the relatively short time we spent with it – with all the excitement and revelation of playing a new game for the first time – it all seemed worryingly familiar and predictable. The bike controls are fine, the gunplay is fine, the stealth is… fine, the dialogue is completely bland but still better than many games, and the graphics are good but not amazing (limited, no doubt, by the processing power needed to have so many zombies on screen at once).

Nothing is broken or unnecessarily awkward but, apart from the hordes, there’s also nothing you haven’t seen a hundred times before. From giant angry bears to clueless enemies that bob up and down from the same small bit of cover there is nothing in Days Gone that seems to have any capacity to surprise you. Perhaps the story will have a sting in the tail but even that seems sadly predictable from an early stage.

With a promised 30+ hour storyline maybe the final game will improve in its later stages but at the moment it feels a lot like the weakest link in Sony’s line-up. It’s almost certainly not a disaster but it really doesn’t seem like another classic in the making.

GC: You mentioned you’ve been working on the game for six years, that’s a long time. I don’t mean this in the negative sense, but why did it take so long?

JG: [laughs] It’s a good question. The longest game we ever worked on before this was Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the Vita, that took two years… and 50 guys. So when Sony gave us a chance to work on a PS4 game we said, ‘We’ve always been ambitious, we’ve always punched above our weight class’ and we wanted to create something that was worth doing. And it was a big game. We went from 50 people to… I think we’re a little over 130 now, which is still pretty small for this type of a game.

And the core mechanics, just to get them right. Because you can’t really know that the bike is gonna be fun until you have a world to ride around in it. And you can’t know if the dynamic nature of the systems are gonna be fun, until there’s enough of them in the game in order for you to be able to play them. And then the core system of the game’s pretty ambitious. You have ranged combat and melee and stealth, all sort of working together in a world environment.

In all the games we’ve made previously it was all scripted, so that you could know that Drake is coming in from this direction and he’s going to face these many enemies and then this event’s gonna happen and so on. But in an open world game the time of day could be different, the weather could be different, the systems are different, the player can come out from any number of directions and angles and skillsets and play styles, so… it just took a long time!

GC: How close to your original pitch is the final game?

JG: Very close. So Bend Studios is Sony first party, right? We’ve been part of Sony for 20 years now and for Sony it always comes down to the player experience. And for us it’s always been a narrative-driven experience, so we had the initial technology pitch, which was the horde, and because part of it has to show off the hardware you have to create something as a first party that’s like, ‘Hey, this is an exclusive for PS4, why do people need to buy a PS4 to play this?’

So that’s really part of the pitch process, you have to create something that’s believable enough, compelling enough, or different enough, or best in class that really shows off what the hardware can do. So creating an overworld that looks like this and with that many enemies was compelling, and it was part of the pitch from the very beginning.

Days Gone - make sure you don't run out of 'gas'
Days Gone – make sure you don’t run out of ‘gas’

GC: The horde is definitely different but things like a post-apocalyptic open world and zombies… that sort of thing has become very familiar.

JG: Yeah.

GC: Especially coming from Sony, where you have The Last Of Us and a lot of open world, narrative-led games. So many that people have started to talk about the ‘Sony formula’. How did you react when you first started hearing comments like that?

JG: We were never worried about it. Again, we know what the Sony portfolio is. We are really, really focused on making Days Gone a unique experience. So from the beginning we knew that the… I wouldn’t even call it a formula, because we have the ingredients to create a really unique experience.

The way the focus is on a bike as your only form of transportation in the world, we knew we had to get that right – so that’s different from most games. And to have the broken road so that the world built around that experience, the high desert as a location and what that brings uniquely to the experience in terms of the different biomes and the weather and the wide variety of spaces within a small area…. these are all things that you’re only going to find in Days Gone.

GC: Or the spiritual sequel to Full Throttle, since this may be the closest we ever get to that.

JG: Even… ’cause I love that game, but the thing about Days Gone is it’s tonally so different. One of the things I like in video games is to have a narrative-driven experience, with a character I can relate to, and I want the tone of it to be serious. I want it to say something serious about the human condition and to really explore things in a way that only games can do. And I feel like that’s what we’re trying to do with Days Gone.

GC: But you must’ve been concerned, even ignoring other Sony games, that there’s a lot of other zombie games around. Considering it could’ve been any kind of enemy really, did you not feel that you wanted to move away from all that?

JG: No, because we wanted to make it grounded. So you say it could be anything, but it can’t be anything. What have you got? You’ve got aliens, you’ve got demons, you’ve got monsters, these are all very, very out there things. And the thing about the freakers in Days Gone is they’re within the realm of possibility.

GC: They are?

JG: If you have a virus that can mutate genome it can do these things. So you notice that all the freaker types in Days Gone are grounded in reality. They’re not so far-fetched that you can say that this has got giant tentacles coming out of it or it’s a two-storey high monster or something.

GC: Okay, so no boss battles for you.

JG: [laughs] Exactly! Not like that, anyway. Everything’s grounded and I think the thing that players will discover when they play the game is that on the surface it may seem like regular zombies but they’re not! They’re alive and part of the ecosystem, and they’re in the world doing their thing whether you’re there to watch them or not. They’re not just shambling around, waiting for you to come along so they can eat you.

They’re eating other things and then they have to go and hibernate and then they build nests and they eat at the mass grave sites and they drink along the lakes and rivers. All these things were built in the world to support an ecosystem that shows that these things have migration patterns, and they have behaviours that you can learn and use against other creature types. And I think that that really makes them unique. And it’s something that you’re not going to see in other games.

GC: So what are the themes of the story? Zombies have always been, at least since Romero, a means to comment on current society and humanity in general, so what are the specific points that you’re trying to make?

JG: Yeah… we can’t talk about that too much without going into spoiler land but it’s not just about the freakers it’s about the whole post-apocalyptic experience and what that does, the stresses it puts on normal human beings. What does it mean if you’ve watched everything, or if your friend gets badly injured and there’s no hospital, and what are you willing to do to survive? And what are you willing to do to help make the world a better place?

So we explore that in every possible way in Days Gone. A good example is the survivor encampments. Like, Copeland’s camp – he’s a truther, he’s a libertarian, and he believes in conspiracy theories and he believes that the federal government is responsible for all of this. And he represents, I think, one aspect of what survivors in a world like this would actually believe.

And then Tucker, who was in the Hot Springs camp, she was a prison matron and she believes that all people are criminals and that if you survive you have to be a criminal so she treats them that way. And I think that is an accurate depiction of how some people would be.

There’s six encampments in the world and they each have a different philosophy, so we explore every possible way you can think about rebuilding civilisation. Including the Rippers, who are a cult. And cults are scary in this world, let alone in a post-apocalyptic world with no checks and balances.

GC: My other concern about the game is that the two main characters seem to rehash the old bald space marine trope. Most of the characters in the beginning just seem to be burly white biker dudes, which is certainly something we have seen a lot in other games.

JG: So, I’ve never seen a character like Deacon St. John in a video game…

GC: You haven’t?

JG: It’s easy to say he’s a white, rough guy – which is true – but at Bend Studio what we always try to do is look past colour and just get to the heart of what a human being does under these kinds of conditions. And I think from the very first moment of the game, when Deacon has to make this choice – and it’s a hard choice between going with his wife or going with his wounded best friend – it’s a tough position to be in, that I think anyone can relate to.

GC: In terms of racial diversity, I don’t think I saw anyone that wasn’t white in what I played.

JG: So, we have a really diverse cast. Manny is Hispanic, who you saw in Copeland’s camp. And Alkai is American Indian and you would have seen him in the Hot Springs camp… there’s more diversity as you move south.

GC: I didn’t meet the American Indian character so it stood out to me. But okay, I’m getting told to wrap up, so thanks for your time.

JG: No problem, great questions.

Jodie Comer has just won her first award and it’s just wild to think the amazing Villanelle hasn’t been graced with plaudits aplenty yet.

The 25-year-old Liverpudlian was awarded the entertainer of the year gong at the inaugural Stylist Remarkable Women Awards overnight and it might be the most pure thing we’ve ever seen.

She was joined by a star-studded room of women including presenter Emma Willis, 42, who rocked a black velvet dress at the bash, held at Rosewood London on Tuesday night, just in time for International Women’s Day on 9 March.

Bodyguard’s Keeley Hawes, 43, was also celebrating all the boss-ness of women in 2019 in a white, puff-sleeved dress as she posed alongside her contemporaries at the swanky affair in the capital.

Singer Anne-Marie, 27, took in the night alongside the epic legends in an off-the-shoulder black jumpsuit we definitely now need in our lives.

However, it was Jodie’s speech that really moved many as she took to the stage to accept her, again, FIRST award for playing the brilliant Villanelle in the BBC show.

She took to the stage looking resplendent in a white, wide-leg pantsuit that let everyone know she did not come here to play, before posing with co-star Fiona Shaw.

Telling the crowd to be ‘patient’ with her as this was her first award, she stood at the podium and continued: ‘It is a huge honour to receive this award and be included with such inspiring women, one of which is my good friend Katarina Johnson Thompson!’

She thanked a bunch of women, ‘in honour of international women’s week’ singling out some remarkable women in her life, including Elizabeth Saltman, Fiona Shaw and her mother Donna Comer.

‘I cannot leave the stage without thanking my mum,’ she added.

There was not even a hint of fatigue as the actress jetted in for the dinner after watching the Miu Miu show in Paris earlier that day.

There is no rest for Villanelle!

Other winners of the night included sports star of the year recipient Katarina Johnson-Thompson, and Annie Lennox, who rightly took home the icon award.

Commissioner Of The Metropolitan Police Service Cressida Dick was honoured with the glass ceiling award.

It all comes as we eagerly await the return of Killing Eve for season two.

The series has proven to be a smash success, with Sandra’s portrayal of Eve winning her Golden Globes, SAG Awards and Emmys. And while on-screen they may be obsessive opposites, off-screen there was nothing but love between Sandra and Jodie.

At the Critics Choice Awards, the American actress honoured co-star in her acceptance speech as she declared: ‘There’s one person who is my obsession, my other half. The person who’s pushed me to the limit and that is the incredible Jodie Comer.’

She continued: ‘When it shows the two of us on set, there is just, the entire world goes away and I’m so appreciative of your trust and your talents.’

Meet millionaire playboy Tony Toutouni who claims feminists ‘hate their lives’

Before Instagram removed Tony Toutouni’s profile, you may have seen one of his posts; he’s the entrepreneur with a penchant for naked women, fast cars, a celebrity lifestyle and flashing the cash.

The Iranian businessman is a controversial figure online and his profile being taken down is just one example of how his lifestyle has been criticised and targeted – and as he attempts to get it back up and online, he thinks he knows who was behind its removal.

Feminists.

‘I have been targeted by different groups who have tried to do whatever they can, and report my pictures, even though I don’t understand what I have done but I have lawyers working on it,’ he says when asked about the profile.

‘I get a lot of feminist groups and religious groups that message me and say things on my direct messages, I get slaughtered by them, they send so many messages.

‘They probably hate their own lives.’

Tony doesn’t mince his words but he’s also softer and less outspoken than I was expecting. Born in Iran, Tony moved to the US with his parents when he was one as they furthered their education – his mother was studying for a Phd and his father was obtaining his Masters – at the University of Kansas.

He won’t reveal his date of birth or age, and his career – right now – is focused on real estate although in the past he has owned car dealerships, nightclubs, bars and restaurants and he is currently investing money into ‘molecular separation’ which he says he can’t give any further details on until he introduces the product into the market.

His account boasted over two million followers at one point – his new account has just under 60,000 followers – and the profile read: ‘I made a lot of money so I can carelessly enjoy my life while pissing everyone off’.

Friends with controversial Las Vegas businessman Dan Bilzerian, Tony was also married in early 2018 for 30 days after he realised that monogamy was not for him.

Now he spends his days hard at work and his evenings partying even harder and he shares it all on Instagram, from the videos of his stacks of cash, to the women spending Halloween with him, to the Instagram stories of his Super Bowl parties.

‘So many people ask about my wildest night out but I have had the wildest of the wildest nights,’ he says, ‘from nine women in my bed multiple times – yes it is sexual – to the nights I’ve been to nightclubs and spend $60-70,000 dollars’.

‘It’s not that much when you’re opening bottles about $1,500 each plus tips so you open up 50 it can run that high easily,’ he says.

‘I think most men want to live that lifestyle,’ he suggests when asked if he considers his pictures aspirational.

‘Whether in their lives they are able to or not, it’s a fantasy for most men. I don’t know how they would feel about it but I can’t see them not liking that lifestyle. Men are hunters and they seek fun and excitement and women, so I don’t understand what man would not like that.

‘In fact, I have men sneak up and say, “my wife would be very upset if she saw me talking to you but I wish one day I lived your lifestyle”. There’s not much I can say [to that]!

‘I am just living my lifestyle and posting my life – everybody lives differently. It’s like asking a guy who works on a farm why he posts about the farm? Who cares about the farm? But that’s his life and my life is what it is, whether that’s fast cars or money or a lot of women.’

Tony began to make money in his late teens and he says it was around the age of 18 that he began to live the lifestyle that he is now accustomed: ‘I’ve done this from an early age and it’s been a fun experience.’

Considering his attitudes towards feminists, I wonder about his attitude to the women he parties with and are happy to pose for what many be consider debauched images.

He calls them his friends, and approaches them all directly wherever he meets them – nightclubs, petrol stations, restaurants; he met his ex-wife – he divorced her after 30 days – after offering to help her fill her car with petrol.

But he does admit that despite his Instagram bringing his fame, it has also stopped women from wanting to get to know him.

‘My Instagram has probably been the worst thing I could have ever done to get other women,’ he laughs, ‘in fact when I meet women I tell them I don’t have Instagram, or I don’t talk about it because the minute they find out is the minute they run because already they have labelled me as a certain type of man by looking at it.

‘They don’t think I will be serious, I will use them and move on, and they are afraid they will be labelled the wrong type of girl.’

Tony, as you may have already guessed, is far from a feminist but he says he believes all women should be ‘independent and have a career’.

His issues, he says, is with the women who use men for financial benefits like a new purse but claims to be independent.

‘They are the ones I make fun of,’ he says.

‘They are delusional. The world has changed in the past 15 or 20 years and it’s become extremely crazy to me because I watch these women, having a sugar daddy or sneaking out with a man to get a purse – even if they are not attracted to them – is a common every day thing.’

(Picture: Supplied)
He says the women are all friends and no one is paid to be there (Picture: Tony Toutouni)

Isn’t he afraid the women partying with him or using him for financial gain?

‘Not at all because I don’t give women money,’ he insists, suggesting that ‘the women who hang out with me enjoy the fun more than anything else so my time with women is based on fun activities’.

Tony doesn’t follow anyone back on Instagram and he never tags any of the women in his posts, an act that welcomes followers in to your world and says ‘look at all my friends, aren’t they great as well?’

His life seems lonely. And not all that glamorous.

Take the Instagram story of his Super Bowl party where he shares videos of the women hired to perform.

As they gyrate across a coffee table and his floor, people crane their necks around them to watch the game – and the cleaner enters the frame to tidy up.

But, he insists his life is ‘jokes and fun’.

‘Me walking women on a leash – people think it’s me actually forcibly walking them on a leash but that’s not true,’ he asserts.

‘If I cared I would fight back and say things to these people who talk about me but I don’t, whatever they say I let them say it and then move on.’

At least he can see the funny side through the pain.

It was recently reported that the star had checked herself back into rehab – despite not relapsing since her alleged overdose last year.

Sources told People magazine: ‘[Demi] has not relapsed since she overdosed. She did recently go to a facility, but it was her own decision.

‘It was one trip to a treatment facility for a few weeks outside of Los Angeles.’

They added that Demi is now back home ‘taking care of herself’ and is in a ‘positive place’, thanks to working out and getting back in the studio.

Game of Thrones ‘screwed political landscape as people tried to be Joffrey’ says Kit Harington

Kit Harington believes Game of Thrones ruined the political landscape by giving Donald Trump a character to rival.

Ahead of the shows final season, the 32-year-old actor confessed to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show on Tuesday night that he thinks that the president of the United States ’emulates Joffrey.’

Making an appearance on the talk show the same day as the series eight trailer dropped, Stephen began: ‘This show was a big cultural definer for the 2010s. So we can blame you for where we are right now.

‘I’ve got this theory that we kind of screwed the political landscape,’ said Kit, who plays Jon Snow on the HBO fantasy drama.

‘By making the Lannisters an acceptable form of ruling family?’ Stephen asked.

Kit replied: ‘I just felt that certain, you know, political figures tried to emulate Joffrey and things went a bit wrong.’

‘He’s got the hair,’ quipped Stephen, referring to the former child King of Westeros’ platinum blonde locks.

Although the Game of Thrones season eight posters hint at the death of Jon Snow, Kit didn’t let slip any spoilers ahead of, announcing: ‘I can’t say anything. I can say zero.

‘We had a table read though, and I was the only person who hadn’t read the episodes.’

Game Of Thrones returns to Sky Atlantic and NOW TV on 15 April.
