Russell Brand is bringing something to the Bake Off tent we’ve never seen before (Picture: Channel 4)
The Bake Off tent is back, and this time it’s filled with celebrities as they do their bit for the Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
Tuesday night will see the first show of the series arrive on screens, with the first group of four stars trying to impress Paul and Prue with their baking skills.
Among those taking part in the first week is Russell Brand – who might well raise a few eyebrows when he makes a vagina-shaped biscuit as he recreates his wife giving birth in bake form.
Here’s what you need to know about Russell’s wife Laura Gallacher in the wake of the, er, unusual role she plays on the show.
Who is Laura Gallagher?
Laura, 31, is the daughter of golfer Bernard Gallacher and the sister of sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher.
She has previously worked in the restaurant industry, and was involved with the opening of Electric Diner, a restaurant owned by the Soho House group.

The brand is described on the official website as ‘about creativity, colour, individuality and fun,’ offering ‘craft not couture, comfortable cool, not catwalk.’
Tom Goodman-Hill brought experience from his personal life to the role of adulterer Adam in new ITV drama Cheat (Picture: ITV)
Tom Goodman-Hill says first-hand experience in his personal life helped him in his role as an adulterer in a new ITV drama.
The actor plays Adam, who is tempted to stray from his marriage when a clever young student seduces him.
He confessed that having an affair while he was still with his first wife helped him bring ‘experience’ to the character.
He told Radio Times: ‘I was very conscious of that when I picked up the script.
‘But it’s inevitable as an actor. If you understand the map… If you know how that feels, you’re going to bring something of that to the part.
‘You draw on your experiences and choose moments from your life that resonate with your character.’
The Humans star was married to Kerry Bradley in 2005 but had an affair with Call The Midwife star Jessica Raine in 2013. He is now married to Jessica and shares two grown up children with his first wife.

Cheat stars Katherine Kelly as university lecturer Leah Dale, who accuses bright student Rose Vaughan, played by Molly Windsor, of cheating in an essay.
Things descend into a battle of wills as both women try to outsmart and outplay each other, with life-changing consequences.
The ITV synopsis reads: ‘At the heart of the drama is the dangerous relationship between university professor Leah, and her student Rose, when, what begins as a seemingly open and shut case of academic deception, quickly spirals out of control, ending in fatal consequences, and triggering a devastating sequence of events that threaten to engulf them both.’
Cheat starts 11 March at 9pm on ITV

While she’s keeping tight-lipped around the launch, she revealed that she’s working with some Love Island faves, including Hayley Hughes, who models her pieces in her latest campaign photos.
‘The Love Island girls are great girls, we’ve got a few things coming up,’ she teased to Metro.co.uk.
Reasoning that ‘the sky’s the limit,’ she dreams of having influencers like Kim Kardashian and the Jenners wearing her pieces: ‘They’re just so big that they would be most people’s ideal for selling products.’
However, she insists that none of it comes from a personal desire to work with her favourite famous faces, as she deems it ‘strictly business.’
Despite making huge steps in business, she makes no secret of the fact that she found The Apprentice process more than a little frightening.
She won the coveted business partnership with Lord Sugar (Picture: BBC)
‘I think you need a little bit of everything,’ she explained. ‘I think you have to kind of play it safe to begin with a little bit, you have to listen to people and work as a team, but towards the end you kind use your own initiative and be a bit more outspoken.
‘But my big positive was that I kept quite cool and calm throughout and I think that probably got me as far as I did because I had the respect of my team members – I was never carrying on or shouting or screaming.’
She triumphed in last year’s series (Picture: BBC)
She pointed out that being under the watchful eye of Karen Brady and Claude Littner ‘was really intense and quite scary’ at first but, after a few weeks, she took it in her stride.
‘You almost forget what’s going on and you’re just trying your absolute best,’ the 25-year-old said. ‘I did whatever I thought was the right thing without worrying about what everybody else would think.’
And it’s no surprise that Lord Sugar gets a whole lot less terrifying when you’ve actually won the show.
‘I think we make a great team, we’ve had a couple of meetings, chats and we’ve planned things,’ Sian said of the mogul. ‘I think we work really well together.
‘I like his approach in business in general, I think he just tells it how it is and that’s the best way, I think being a Northern girl, I’m used to that way of working.’
Despite being guilty of judging previous candidates from the sofa while watching (aren’t we all?), the Leeds-born winner has rapidly left that attitude behind – although she still plans to make predictions for the next series about ‘who’s gonna get kicked out when’.
‘You think, “Where do they find these people?” And then I applied, and got on it!’ she laughed.
Hayley Hughes is just one of the famous faces she’s been working with (Picture: Supplied)
‘It’s way harder than it looks, I take everything back now…It’s easy to judge when you’re watching, you think, “Oh, I could do a way better job,” but actually being in it it’s so different.’
However, she hasn’t slowed down one bit since finishing the series.
‘I’ve not really stopped since finding out that I won it,’ Sian admitted. ‘It’s just been taking the business from small scale to mass production and hiring a team – it’s just been non-stop.’
Despite the large scale, she still makes sure to model her pieces herself.
‘It’s personal to me, and I’d wear every one of my products,’ she told us. ‘In no way am I trying to be a model, but as a designer I would wear my products and you [should] believe in your products.’
‘The body positivity and empowerment [movement] is massive,’ she marvelled. ‘I want to make products that people feel good in and, whatever size and whatever shape you are, you can wear these pieces and feel amazing, and that’s what I’m trying to get across.’
And her focus on empowered women definitely extends to business.
‘In business as a female, I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve felt like I’ve been inferior,’ she said. ‘I’ve always had the confidence and known my stuff and known what I’m talking about enough to stand my ground.
‘I’m a massive advocate of women and female empowerment – so I feel like girls can do whatever they want to do, especially in business.’

The existence of a cheaper disc-less model was previously rumoured after Microsoft announced they were working on multiple consoles at last year’s E3, with the other expected to be their next-gen offering following the Xbox One X.
Technical specifications for the consoles, previously claimed to be codenamed Lockhart and Anaconda, then leaked late last month – seemingly confirming a cheaper, digital-only model was in the works.
According to Windows Central, this new console will now be titled the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, and will be available for pre-order from mid-April 2019.
They also claim the All-Digital Edition will be released in early May 2019, with a ‘near-global simultaneous launch’ for the console.
A special Fortnite Edition is also believed to be gearing up for release with a custom Fortnite design, and not just a bundle which includes the game.
Interestingly, this release date is before their E3 2019 conference where these announcements usually take place – leaving their presentation to perhaps focus solely on their next-gen offering.
A digital-only edition of the console also reinforces Microsoft’s push towards its Games Pass service, with a Nintendo partnership also rumoured to be announced at this year’s E3.
While it’s important to remember these are just rumours, the escalating evidence definitely suggests Microsoft is making strides for Xbox Games Pass to be as widely available as possible through Project xCloud – but will it be enough to turn the tide on Sony’s dominance?
Russell won the coveted orange apron during his Bake Off appearance when his vagina biscuit impressed judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
In the showstopper challenge the celebs were tasked with recreating their best performance in biscuit form.
Russell decided to depict the birth of his second daughter, with a giant vagina in the centre and him standing to one side next to the placenta.
Despite making less biscuits than he was meant to, and the fact his decoration was pretty sloppy, he was crowned the champion in the special episode because his labia tasted amazing.
He said: ‘I am genuinely thrilled to be adorned with this apron. I’m bang into this, man.
‘I’ll probably gonna wear it home. I shall wear this with nothing else on. This will be me now. I shall cultivate a look around this apron.’
Paul praised the comedian for his artsy approach.
He said: ‘That biscuit was perfect. What he did was a little bit of conceptual art.
‘It was very clever, it was very brave and tasted amazing.’
Prue added: ‘He had the best showstopper, amazing biscuits and it was a celebration of womanhood. Germaine Greer would have approved.’
Also taking part in the episode were The Crown actor John Lithgow, Paralympian Hannah Cockcroft and comedian Jon Richardson.
Other celebs lined up to show off their culinary talents to Prue and Paul include Rylan Clark-Neal – who’s also getting stuck into this week’s Celebrity Apprentice for Comic Relief – Michelle Keegan, Jeremy Paxman, Caroline Flack, Russell Tovey, Big Narstie, and Georgia Toffolo.
The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer airs Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4

‘I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family. And in the past 24 hours I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support. I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages, but I see them, and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I, I’m not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it’s something you aren’t ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it’s all happening in the public eye.
‘So bare with me and know that I am grateful for all the love. Just, being grateful quietly [sic].’
Luke was known more recently playing Fred Andrews in Riverdale, but was also known for roles in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Mark Wright says The Bachelor UK will be a classier affair than other dating shows (Picture: Channel 5)
The Bachelor UK is going to be a more sophisticated TV dating show than the other on offer says host Mark Wright.
With shows such as Love Island or Make Or Break on screens, The Bachelor is going to do things a little bit differently.
Mark told us: ‘I like its sense of elegance and class compared to some of the other ones just because, especially in this one the guy is such a classy man. He’s strapping, 6 foot 6, ripped to shreds, long hair, he’s got an amazing job.
‘And the way it’s shot is like a movie. We use drones to shoot the beautiful location.
‘I like that it’s a reality dating show meets a real life drama. I think people have always loved that, even when people watched I’m A Celebrity and romances were formed, people love watching that. It hooks them.
‘Like Towie and Made In Chelsea and all these shows that are about love essentially. It’s easy to watch, the ups and downs and twists and turns are interesting to watch.’
Mark with the Bachelor Alex Marks (Picture: Channel 5)
He added that he’s not concerned about people using the show to find fame instead of romance.
‘Every show like this, people will be going on, yes to find love but they’re gonna have an element of, “what could this do for me career-wise?” having seen the success of Love Island and others.
‘But the majority of the girls on The Bachelor UK, and especially the girls that make it far are definitely there for the right reasons and our bachelor made sure of that. It was his number one thing.
‘We’ve got girls ranging from 20 years of age to 36, one’s been married and divorced, one has a kid, it’s not all young 23 years old single girls and boys. It’s a mixed age group. It’s school teachers and PTs.
‘It’s a very wide range of girls and he’s got a wide range to pick from. It’s got an element of class to it.
‘The girls have an element of class although sometimes when they’ve had a drink they have a fight or cry, the usual stuff. But it’s definitely got an element of class.’
The Bachelor UK airs weeknights at 10pm on Channel 5

Erin, Michelle, Clare, Orla and Dylan are back in a brilliantly bonkers return (Picture: Channel 4)
Set in 1990s Northern Ireland during the Troubles, Lisa McGee’s teen comedy Derry Girls turned out to be a sleeper hit last year.
Series one was Channel 4’s biggest comedy launch since 2004 and the biggest ever on its online platform All 4.
So it made sense for it to return for another six episodes, kicking off with the brilliantly bonkers Across The Barricade.
Erin (Saoirse Monica-Jackson), Clare (Nicola Coughlan), Michelle (Jamie-Lee O’Donnell), Orla (Louisa Clare Harland) and Dylan (James Maguire) headed off on an outdoor pursuits weekend which aimed to bring Protestant and Catholic school kids together.
When the girls found out the Protestant students were all boys, Clare vowed to befriend a ‘full-blown Protestant’ while Erin and Michelle only had one thing on their minds.
Michelle (Jamie-Lee O’Donnell) and Erin (Saoirse Monica Jackson) on an outdoor pursuits weekend (Picture: Channel 4)
The 90s were stuffed full of comedies about shy, awkward, not particularly nice boys desperate to lose their virginity. And somehow most of them succeeded.
The episode flipped this perfectly on its head as the girls charged into the boys’ dorm room waving alcohol and trying to get some action. We saw the boys recoiling in horror as they realised what the endgame was. One even brandished a purity bracelet.
In the same scene, Orla dreamily spoke about beasts with ‘sophisticated noses’ that lurked in the woods outside, because of course she did. What Derry Girls does brilliantly is mix the harrowing real world (tensions between faiths in Northern Ireland) with the daft. Also see: the hilarious ‘athlete/Catholic’ mix up later on.
But the message that we are not so different after all was brought home beautifully with just a word on a blackboard. And in a time when we are more divided than ever, and the threat of history repeating itself has raised its ugly head, it’s a message that’s desperately needed.
Derry Girls airs Tuesdays at 9.15pm on Channel 4

Piers says Kylie Jenner has Kim to thank for her success (Picture: ITV/REX)
Kim and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner fam are now household names, appearing in their own TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Since launching her business empire and her beauty line Kylie Cosmetics, she has been raking it in at the tender age of 21.

Forbes has valued Kylie Cosmetics at around $900million (£686million).
Chatting about her success, the star said: ‘I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future. But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.’
The mum-of-one, who is dating rapper Travis Scott, also credits her massive social media following which has helped her reach out to her fans.

‘It’s the power of social media,’ the beauty mogul told Forbes: ‘I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything.’
In just two years since first putting out a $29 (£22) lip kit – a lipstick and lip liner – the youngest of the Kar-Jenner clan has gone on to sell more than $630 million (£475 million) worth of make up.

Jeremy Clarkson might be the host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, but that doesn’t mean he’s impervious to criticism from contestants.
The 58-year-old presenter met Anna Watson-Smith from Leytonstone on Tuesday night’s show, who works as a digital retouch artist.
Speaking about her job after earning £1,000, Jeremy said: ‘So you’re a digital retouch artist, are you one of those people who makes people thinner than they are in magazines?’
‘I sometimes make people thinner, I sometimes make them fatter,’ Anna replied.

Asked if she could make Jeremy thinner, Anna said: ‘I’m not a wizard.’
The crowd burst into shocked laughter around the audience, with Jeremy saying: ‘No, I think that was fair enough.’
Viewers though could feel the burn radiating off screen.
The last laugh was perhaps with Jeremy, who couldn’t give an answer when Anna utilised the ‘Ask The Host’ lifeline, which eventually cost her £15,000 when she answered incorrectly.
‘That was a nightmare question and a nightmare part of the board for you,’ Jeremy said.
Anna went home with £1,000 at the end of the show.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire continues on Wednesday ITV at 9pm.
They said: ‘It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint.
‘A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed. ‘We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time.’
Keith has been with The Prodigy from the beginning (Picture: Empics)
His last performance with the band was on 5 February at the The Trusts Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.
They were set to headline London’s SW4 festival, which takes place on Clapham Common on 24 and 25 August.
The group’s seventh album No Tourists was released just five months ago.
Initially the band’s dancer, he was brought in to provide vocals on Firestarter and later Breathe.
He can also be heard on Serial Thrilla, Fuel My Fire, Take Me to the Hospital, Omen, World’s On Fire, Run with the Wolves and Colours.
Band member Liam Howlett told fans that Flint had taken his own life, however this is yet to be confirmed by police. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

South Park creator Trey Parker has split from wife Boogie (Picture: Rex Features)
South Park creator Trey Parker has split from wife Boogie, after nearly five years of marriage.
Reports claim Trey filed for divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles, with The Blast stating the cause of the couple’s split is currently unknown.
Their decision to separate may come as a surprise to fans, as Trey and Boogie had seemed pretty loved-up with one another on their family’s Instagram page (@thesouthparkers) as recently as January.
Trey and Boogie wed back in 2014 and are parents to daughter Betty, six, who has voiced characters on South Park alongside her dad.
Trey and Boogie were married for nearly five years (Picture: Instagram/ thesouthparkers)
The brains behind the US animated sitcom, Trey is also the voice of many of South Park’s male characters including Eric Cartman.
The show has a renowned history of tackling sensitive topics, pulling no punches against Scientology, the depiction of Muhammad and the US political climate with its not so PC humour.
Show creator Trey is also known for co-creating controversial Broadway show The Book Of Mormon, that has since gone on to win nine Tony Awards.
His marriage to Boogie was his second marriage – Trey was previously married to ex-wife Emma Sugiyama. They tied the knot in 2006, but split just two years later.

John Lithgow reminded viewers of his Shrek character Lord Farquaad on Celebrity Bake Off (Picture: Rex/Channel 4)
The Crown star John Lithgow whipped up some gingerbread biscuits on Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer and sparked a load of Shrek jokes.
For the showstopper challenge the celebrities had to make a 3D biscuit model of their greatest performance. They had to use 24 decorated biscuits in total.
John decided to recreate one of his final scenes on The Crown when Winston Churchill invites the Queen for dinner.
He made gingerbread biscuit versions of the characters involved and placed them outside Downing Street.
John making gingerbread gave viewers flashbacks to his character Lord Farquaad from the first Shrek movie in 2001.

Kim Kardashian has just owned Paris Fashion Week (Picture: Getty/Backgrid/Splash)
Kim Kardashian has just owned Paris Fashion Week and we’re all over it.
Granted the reality star likes to sass up her wardrobe, but her latest outfit just walked all over anything else she has stepped out in before.
Kim was seen leaving her Paris hotel decked out in head-to-toe leopard print. We’re talking a leopard print bodysuit, coat, boots, gloves – the lot.
A little too much? You’d think so, but not for Kim K. It totally works.

She added some chic shades and wore her hair swept to one side, working an old Hollywood glamour wave and flawless make up.
Kim was surrounded by security while making her way to the PFW shows, but not before posing for her own photoshoot inside her hotel room, because obviously.
The mum-of-three, who is expecting baby number four with Kanye West, shared a series of snaps of herself and her killer look with her 130million followers, but it was her caption that has already made her outfit choice pretty iconic.

Kim quoted a famous line from classic 90s movie Clueless: ‘You don’t understand… this is an Alia,’ and if that isn’t a two fingers up to the people that robbed her in Paris back in 2016, then we don’t know what is.
In the film, Cher says the line when she’s being robbed at gunpoint in a car park and doesn’t want to lie on the ground in her designer dress.
Fans will remember Kim went through a horrible ordeal just over two years ago, where she was held at gunpoint in her Paris apartment while £8million worth of her jewellery was stolen.
Speaking about the robbery, Kim previously said: ‘For a good year, I almost lost myself. I was never depressed, but I wasn’t motivated to get up and work like I used to. It shook me.
‘There was a lot of me that measured who I was by how much I had. I thought, ‘Oh, I’m worth so much.’ That needed to change in me.’
Khloe Kardashian commented on Kim’s insta post: ‘This is a moment!!!!!!! Queen KKW.’
Kylie Jenner showed her appreciation with a series of heart-eyed emojis, while Bella Hadid commented: ‘I meaaannnnnnnnnn.’

Cardi B and husband Offset enjoyed some alone time in Mexico (Picture: MEGA)
Cardi B and husband Offset hit a rough patch recently, briefly splitting over cheat rumours.
But the I Like It rapper and Migos star seem to be well and truly back on track as they headed off to Mexico together.
Thanks for the invite, huns.
The pair were spotted holding hands as they spent the day together on a luxury yacht in Los Cabos, proving they’ve put all the drama behind them.

Cardi, 26, made the most of the sunshine in a bright, floaty summer dress, while her beau – whom she shares daughter Kulture with – kept things casual in black skinny jeans and a vest.
How hot must he have been in those jeans? We’re getting a sweat on just thinking about it…

In fact, in a video shared with her 41.3million followers, she told us all: ‘Damn, he want me to suck his dick for hours today.
‘Well, let me start getting drunk.’
Honestly, way too much information there…
And she previously vowed they’re just a regular couple, despite being able to jet off on swanky yachts in Mexico, that is…
Speaking to People, she said: ‘I hang out with him, I talk to him every day and we do our thing. It’s just like — to make things perfect … it takes time.
‘You know, fucking and hanging out doesn’t mean that you guys are on like a perfect note, it takes time. It takes time.
‘And it’s a marriage and there’s a child involved and family involved.’

The elbows are a little off, though (Picture: Ryan Schude / Mattel)
Adwoa Aboah became even more of an icon this week, after the model and activist was turned into a fancy Barbie.
Not bad work for a Tuesday, right?
Barbie honoured the 26-year-old Gurls Talk founder with her own mini-me ahead of International Women’s Day and judging by Adwoa’s reaction, she’s picking up what they’re putting down.
Ahead of the day in which Adwoa is due to appear on a panel alongside Meghan Markle to talk about women’s issues, she held her shiny Barbie aloft after being pictured picking out the perfect head for her mini-me.

The doll has a wardrobe that is better than yours as well (sorry, but it’s probably true), sporting many different outfits that mimic the style of Adwoa, or riff on past photoshoots she’s done.
In one she’s wearing a Gurls Talk tee with a leopard print skirt, while in another the Barbie is wearing a replica of the same sequin dress rocked by her human on the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards earlier this year.
Creators did well to imitate this look so perfectly (Picture: WireImage)
The Michael Halpern two-tone dress was teamed with a metallic turban and you bet it looks nearly as awesome on her lookalike doll – who sports the same famous freckles Adwoa has become known for.
In a few days the style queen will appear on a panel alongside the Duchess Of Sussex, at King’s College London on Friday 8 March to discuss all things women.
They’ll be joined by Annie Lennox OBE, and the former Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gillard.
While we’re sure all women will take to the mic and speak passionately about issues close to their heart, Kensington Palace has said the Duchess will address the important International Women’s Day and the challenges women face around the world including access to education and employment.
Honestly, we hope to see Barbie on the panel, too.

Baking legend Mary Berry graces the cover of Good Housekeeping (Photo: Elisabeth Hoff / Good Housekeeping)
Mary Berry has revealed she’s not actually scoffing homemade cakes behind closed doors, saying she ‘really watches the calories’ to stay in shape.
The dough queen, 83, is looking wonderfully chic as she graces the cover of the April issue of Good Housekeeping magazine along with her adorbs dog Darcey, named after retired ballerina and Strictly judge Darcey Bussell.
Mary sat down with the glossy to talk about what she eats at home (it does also involve wine and Lindt chocolates, FYI), going to Bestival for the first time aged 83, and how she feels about being lauded as a national treasure.
Talking about her diet, the baking legend said she rarely snacks and sticks to three healthy meals a day.

‘I believe in having three meals a day. I don’t snack. If I’m at home, I might have a cup of tea with my husband with a piece of toast or a small piece of cake. On the whole, I really watch calories,’ she shared.
The former Great British Bake Off judge went on: ‘I always have a good meal in the evening with lots of vegetables and a smaller portion of meat or fish.
‘I believe in a balanced diet, and because I’m ancient I don’t need an 8oz steak. I do like a glass of wine. I’m not one to devour chocolates, but after supper I have a chocolate of some sort, perhaps one of those Lindt balls.’

Mary, who quit GBBO when it made the move to Channel 4 after the BBC lost the rights to the show, told the mag she’s always up for trying new things while recalling the time she got on stage with Rick Astley at last year’s Bestival to play the drums.
‘I did Bestival… I cooked with Rick Astley and somehow or other he persuaded me to play the drums on stage afterwards. I was rubbish! But they said I was a natural.’
When asked how she feels about being a national treasure, the modest star said she’s only leading by ‘example’.
‘I’m just trying to set a reasonable example. It’s only what I’ve been brought up to do – what my parents did. People are very kind.’

The nation’s favourite cook was joined on the shoot by super cute cocker spaniel Darcey, whose namesake was introduced to the pooch last year.
‘She’s named after ballerina Darcey Bussell. Darcey moves so beautifully, it’s lovely,’ Mary told the mag. ‘Darcey Bussell actually met her at my Christmas show last year when she came and cooked with me.’
Mary will soon be back on TV screens with her new BBC show Mary Berry’s Quick Cooking.
Talking about the project, she shared: ‘The series and the book are about quick, proper cooking with an eye on how long it takes.
‘You’re going to be able to get that meal on the table in 30 or 40 minutes, and it’s the sort of food the family will ooh and aah about,’ she teased.

She joined Penelope Cruz on the catwalk for Chanel’s Fall/Winter show at this year’s Paris Fashion Week event and absolutely bossed it in a checked jumpsuit, monochrome coat and fedora hat.
Cara, who had stepped away from the modelling world to focus on a career in acting, looked like she never left as she made her way down the alpine catwalk.

She took centre stage at the showcase and was seen casually strutting her stuff with her hand in her pockets and a cool collected look on her face. Pretty fierce, no?
The show had been Lagerfeld’s last for Chanel and began with a minute-long silence for the late fashion legend, before ending with David Bowie’s We Could Be Heroes playing as models walked through the finale.
Things got quite emotional and the models were seen crying on the catwalk as they honoured the iconic designer.

It read: ‘Every time I try and write about this man, all I do is cry. He changed my life, he believed in me when so many others didn’t including myself.
‘He also introduced me to some of the most important and special people in my life. He is a visionary, a genius but more than that…. a dear friend. Outside of fashion, he was one of the most interesting and caring men I have ever met.
‘I am so lucky and grateful to have had him in my life, worked with him and been able to spend time with him…. Although now, I wish it had been more. His legacy will live on forever.

‘I miss you more than I could ever try and describe. I wish I had been able to tell you how much you meant to me. I love you @karllagerfeld all I can say is thank for the bottom of my heart.’
She told Jameela: ‘You cannot compare Harvey to Karl. Especially to me.’
Cara then added: ‘What you are saying you must understand is upsetting me greatly. I am grieving someone who was special to me. It’s very tough to have this conversation without getting emotional.
‘All I ask is that you consider those who are hurting right now and leave some space for that before discussing the issues that need to be. That’s all.’

So it seems like Microsoft’s first digital-only console is going to be for the Xbox One, not the next gen. Makes sense to be honest. Without a disc drive they’ll be able to make it super cheap and companies often release cheaper, cut-down versions of their machines towards the end of a generation.
The only problem is that while in theory it’s a great way to catch up with all the Xbox One exclusives I’ve missed this gen… I can’t think of a single one I’m that interested in (to be fair I’m not into racing games). But, I think I will still get it though as I have been very impressed by Microsoft’s attitude towards backwards compatibility so if it is super cheap, like not much more than £100, I will pick it up to play older games.
As far as I can see it’ll play everything but Sony exclusives from last gen and a lot more besides. That’s worth a lot to me, especially with a decent controller. So yes, I’d say it’s a good idea and clearly the future we’re all heading towards – ironically given what I’ll be playing on it. Benson
Decades of change
It really is crazy to think about how quickly games have evolved… and how much they’ve slowed down recently. Resident Evil 5 is 10 years ago and yet it still looks and plays very much like a modern game. Clearly not state-of-the-art but you could easily mistake it for a Switch game. Go back 10 years though and you’ve got something like Silent Hill which, although a great game, has graphics so bad now it’s virtually unplayable. Go back another 10 years and you’re into the Amiga and Master System era.
It’s crazy how far we’ve come in such a relatively short amount of time and yet the plateau we reach, somewhere towards the end of the Xbox 360 era, is real and I don’t see it being any different in the next gen.
Streaming might change the way we play games but it won’t change the games themselves (it actually risks degrading them, given the problems there’ll be with controls on touchscreens). The only thing that does is VR but that also has problems with controls, not to mention nausea, many genres not working well with it, and the cost. That to me is the cost though. If in 10 years VR is commonplace and much improved from now then we might have another 10 year gap that seems more like night and day. Tolstoy
Sad names
When it comes to console designs and names I’ve always just appreciated that a console simply looks the way it does and has a name to go with it. For example, I’ve never been a fan of the US SNES aesthetically but that’s just the way it is. I do prefer the European version but was never too keen on how the logo appears to me like it’s been placed along the front with a ink stamp. I always favoured the Super Famicom font on the Japanese equivalent, to me it helps if a console has a name that’s functional or kinda makes sense but whatever, it is what is, a machine’s look and name will always become synonymous with the software that promote it.
However, the original Xbox aside I know I’m not the only one that thinks Microsoft struggle in this department, I mean, Xbox 360? Xbox One? (abb. Xbone?) Xbox One S (Xbones?) Xbox One X (so just Xbox again?). And just last night I read of a possible digital-only Xbox codenamed Maverick that may be dubbed the Xbox One S All Digital… so the Xbox One S.A.D perhaps? Well… OK. Bad Edit
Reading the Hot Topic for battle royale games, one reader mentioned a racing game where the track would disappear to lose the slowest racer. I thought a perfect fit would be Split/Second where the natural disaster would get rid of the slowest racer. As for Mario Kart battle royale, they already have the Shine Thief. That in itself very difficult to win, that’s with four players as well.
My Switch has a blue pixel when I power it up. Should I get it looked at? It doesn’t detract me from playing but don’t want to make it worse by not doing anything about it. Alek Kazam
GC: That sounds like a stuck pixel, which we didn’t realise was still a thing. If it is though it’s unlikely a shop will do anything about it if it’s just one or two.
Difficult reset
In reply to Suspect’s letter about his son’s Switch, this has happened to me a couple of times.
To sort this problem I did a hard reset (I think is the term).
To do this hold the power button down on the Switch for about 20 seconds or however long it takes. Can take up to a minute though, so don’t panic if nothing happens at first.
This problem usually only occurs after an update to the system or a game.
Hope this helps. Fatys Henrys
No shame
I think Wasimr34 was right to call out those who tried to console shame him (her?).
After GC published my letter about what my depression does to me when it comes to scary games, the usual poisonous Underboxers where quick to apply the acid to their tongues. It’s why I stopped commenting down there many years ago.
They are quick to ridicule and pour scorn on peoples’ lifestyles, mental states, and game choices and I’m surprised GC doesn’t have some sort of mediation to limit these snidey comments. On the whole, the regular Underboxers are a pleasant bunch to one another but there’s just a few who feel that they must apply the ‘holier-than-thou’ attitude to belittle choices that don’t fall-in-line with the masses.

GC: We don’t have that kind of control over the comments section, because it all goes through Facebook, but if things get out of hand anyone can email us and we can just turn off comments for that particular article.

The Smash Bros. director guy is all kinds of crazy and was it me or did he seem to be implying that he’d done the whole IV drip thing before? I vaguely remember him having a health problems a few times, but really…
What I do know though is that Japanese employees can end up working absolutely insane hours and it’s deemed completely normal. I don’t know this from video games but just general working practices, so I imagine it’s especially bad for games. It makes me feel guilt when I read about it but I don’t know what you do to stop it. A boycott is only going to harm the people you’re trying to help. Centaur
Is anyone else really starting to feel sorry for BioWare now? The bad news is just pilling up almost day by day now, it’s just awful. I thought the whole bricking story would be exaggerated but I actually know a friend that it happened to and needless to say he is not happy. This is the sort of thing EA could get severely sued for and if it keeps happening I don’t see how they avoid it, especially in America.
We’ve seen even in the Inbox people mocking BioWare for the problem but surely it’s obvious to everyone that the problem is EA’s fault. It was already obvious that Anthem had been released too early, judging by the lack of content, but now it seems there wasn’t nearly enough time for bug-checking and fixing. That’s not BioWare’s fault it’s their publisher’s, EA.
But are EA execs the ones that are going to be sacked and maybe see their entire company shut down? Is it hell. Once again we see the people that make the games, that work ridiculous hours and put in so much blood, sweat, and tears treated like disposable objects. I know many industries are like this but you’d think with gamers being so passionate (to use the most positive term possible) that we’d be able to get behind the people who make are gamers and try and protect them from the people that just want to exploit them. I have a confession to make… I’m really enjoying the campaign of Crackdown 3. There, I feel better now! Adam Lion 23 (gamertag)
While I was hunting for hidden and agility orbs in Crackdown 3 I came into a cave and while exploring I found an illuminati reference inside. The subject for this weekend’s Inbox was suggested by reader Edone, who challenges you to name the worst part of your favourite game.
Nothing’s perfect, so what is it you don’t like about the game or games you otherwise love? Is it a trivial detail or something that actually impacts your enjoyment of the game? How would you fix the problem and what effect would that have on how you – and the wider world – think of the game?
How tolerant are you in general about games with obvious flaws and are there some things which you regularly give a pass to? Or are there some flaws which instantly put you off a game, no matter what else it gets right?
The small print New Inbox updates appear twice daily, every weekday morning and afternoon. Readers’ letters are used on merit and may be edited for length.
You can also submit your own 500 to 600-word 4Player viewer features at any time, which if used will be shown in the next available weekend slot.

Luke Perry has left everything to his children Jack and Sophie in his will (Picture: WireImage)
Luke Perry’s children are set to inherit their father’s fortune, following his death.
Radar Online reports that the Beverly Hills, 90210 star has left everything to his two children, Sophie and Jack, in his will.
A source tells the publication that Luke had put together a will, splitting his fortune between his kids, several years before his death and after a colorectal cancer scare in 2015 – doctors found and removed precancerous growths.
They claim: ‘He didn’t want to leave anything to chance.’
Luke is dad to son Jack, 21, and daughter Sophie, 18, from his previous marriage to ex-wife Rachel Sharp.
She said: ‘I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family. And in the past 24 hours I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support.
‘I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages, but I see them, and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I.
‘I’m not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it’s something you aren’t ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it’s all happening in the public eye.’
Luke was known more recently for playing Fred Andrews in Riverdale, but fans will also know him for starring in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and finding fame as Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210.

His former 90210 co-stars have paid tribute to Luke across social media following news of his death, with Shannen Doherty, who played Luke’s onscreen girlfriend Brenda Walsh, telling fans she was ‘struggling to cope’ with her loss.
She revealed that the pair had been planning on working together again and were preparing plans for a TV return for their fans.
Fox has confirmed that it will be rebooting 90210 with its original cast, including the likes of Tori Spelling, but Luke and Shannen were yet to sign up for the series.
