Mayim Bialik’s Amy might get her big wish before the end of the last-ever season (Picture: CBS)
As The Big Bang Theory nears its end, speculation persists among fans of the sitcom about which storylines will be tied up by the time the show’s finale airs later this spring.
In last week’s episode, The Conference Valuation, Sheldon appeared to come around to the idea of parenting after being roped in by Amy to help Howard look after his babies Halley and Michael.
Sheldon’s entrypoint into embracing childcare was found through the text book Experimenting With Babies, which, as it later becomes clear, was conveniently planted by Amy for him to find in an effort to get the physicist actively interested in raising kids.

Speculation is already rife on that particular point, with Amy’s ‘experiment’ on Sheldon in the last episode perhaps serving as an exercise to convince her further that her husband will be able to hack it when they have their own children.
And it’s an exercise which Sheldon passed with flying colours – so could Amy now be ready to deliver her big news to Sheldon and the rest of the gang in one of the next few episodes?
With Amy being super busy with her career, it could be that she planted the book to test the waters on how her hubby will react to her pregnancy.
We wouldn’t rule out a ShAmy baby being part of the crew by the time the grand finale airs…
The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays on CBS in the US and E4 in the UK.

Actor Jed Allan of Beverly Hills 90210 fame has passed away aged 84, his son has confirmed.
The sudden loss of the actor comes less than a week after the death of his co-star Luke Perry, who suffered a stroke and passed away last Monday.
Jed made his name as a soap star and actor, and appeared as Rush Sanders in the teen drama favourite, the dad of Steve Sanders (played by Ian Ziering).
Ian was one of the first stars to pay tribute to his on-screen father’s death, and he wrote: ‘So sad to hear we’ve lost another 90210 castmate.
‘I had the pleasure of working with Jed Allan from 94 to 99. He played Rush Sanders, Steve’s father. Such a great guy to work with, he will be missed. #ripjedallan.’
Over the course of his career Jed also appeared in the hugely popular Days Of Our Lives, CHiPs, Lassie and Columbo.
Continuing to work for more than 60 years, he became lead characters in several shows, making 102 episodes as Days Of Our Lives’ character Don Craig, and more than 1,000 episodes of Santa Barbara over a seven-year period.
He is survived by his three sons, Mitchell, Dean and Rick, born during his marriage to Toby Brown, who died in 2001.
Jed was married to Toby from 1958 until her passing, and never remarried afterwards.

Seungri has confirmed his retirement (Picture: VCG/VCG via Getty Images)
Big Bang star Seungri has announced he is retiring from the music industry, in light of allegations of providing sexual escort services to foreign investors and VIP clients.
The idol broke the news on Instagram, a day after being booked for aiding in providing sexual escort services.
Seungri wrote: ‘At this moment, it seems like it would be good for me to retire from the entertainment industry. I’ve decided to retire from the entertainment industry because of the huge social controversy that has arisen. I am under investigation, and I will receive investigation with sincerity so that the building suspicions can be revealed.
‘During the past month and a half, I have received criticism and hate from the public and been in a situation where every investigative agency in this country is investigating me. I just cannot accept causing pain to those around me just for my sake.
‘I would like to sincerely thank all of the fans both in and out of Korea who have shown me love for the past ten years. For the sake and honor of Big Bang and YG, [my career is] ending here.
‘I would like to apologise one more time.’
This come a day after the 28-year-old was became an official suspect in a case accusing him of providing escorts to foreign investors in his private club – allegations he has previously denied.
Seungri, real name Lee Seung-hyun, is accused of setting up VIP clients at his now defunct club Burning Sun with escorts providing sexual services.
A Kakao Talk exchange allegedly between the popstar and three others in 2016 appeared to show Seungri arranging female escorts to serve potential investors.
In a text allegedly sent by Seungri, it said: ‘Pick the ones who’ll sleep with them without a fuss.’
Seungri has denied sending these texts, claiming they were fabricated.
This week, it was alleged that Seungri used a Kakaotalk group to organise sex workers to serve foreign investors at nightclub ARENA in Gangnam. It has been alleged that there were a number of celebrities in this chatroom.

Police said: ‘We booked Seungri and changed his status to that of a suspect in order to issue a search and seizure warrant and clear [Seungri] of the suspicions [surrounding him].’
The Strong Baby singer has been banned from leaving the country during the investigation.
Seungri is set to enlist in the military on 25 March, and despite reports that his enlistment would be delayed due to the case, this will still go ahead.
The Military Manpower Administration said: ‘As long as he does not request a delay, he will be enlisting. If he submits a request, we will consider it, but his current situation does not fit the requirements.
‘The MMA will be taking care of the required procedures. If he comes here, we will run the required procedures.’
Police investigations will continue after Seungri enlists at the Choongnam Nonsan Training Centre this month.

She’s certainly got the X Factor, but could she win the X Factor? (Picture: Rex)
Gemma Collins has been on nearly every reality show going – and if rumours are to be believed, she’s about to tick one more off her list with X Factor.
The Towie meme queen has been addictive viewing during her stint on Dancing On Ice (even if it was more for her fights with Jason Gardiner than it was for her abilities) and it’s now thought she could be putting herself in front of Simon Cowell.
The All Stars series of the long-running talent show has been heavily rumoured for weeks after 13 years since the only series appeared on the air – but team X Factor are yet to confirm its existence.
‘We want big and exciting stars and The GC is popular and we reckon she makes entertaining viewing. More important, she can sing,’ a source told Daily Star.
‘Simon has handled many divas over the years with the likes of Sharon Osbourne and Mel B, so we reckon he will be able to deal with this Essex one.’
Impressing even Geri Horner, Gemma admitted that she only wanted to appear on the show to win over the former Spice Girl, and she did just that.
So she could be a perfect fit for the potential celebrity X Factor series, as former stars including James Arthur reportedly turned down a return to the show that made his name.
After hanging up her skates for good at the weekend after the series finale, the world is Gemma’s oyster.

Carol Kirkwood has been away from BBC Breakfast (Picture: BBC)
If someone’s absent from the BBC Breakfast studio it doesn’t go unnoticed.
Such is the case with regular weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, who’s become a familiar face to morning viewers come rain or shine.
Except currently when they tune in they’re seeing forecaster Matt Taylor instead, who’s been delivering the bad news about just how cold it is at the moment.
So just what’s happened to Carol and when is she coming back?
Where is Carol Kirkwood?
A BBC spokesperson confirmed to metro.co.uk that Carol is currently on holiday.
She’ll be back on the show this Wednesday so you don’t have too much longer to wait for her return.
Normally when someone is absent from the show they’re either working on another project or just having a little break from those early starts.
Carol has missed out during her absence though, after rock singer Bryan Adams – who she is a big fan of – stopped by the studios.
The Canadian star left her a message, saying: ‘I came all the way to the Beeb and you’re not here!’ – which was swiftly posted on Twitter.
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays on BBC One from 6am.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is 22 years old today – we feel your pain (Picture: SKY)
Sarah Michelle Gellar and all your favourite Buffy The Vampire Slayer cast members have been celebrating the show’s 22nd birthday, and seriously – where did the past two decades go?
Buffy Summers moved to Sunnydale and began plunging wooden stakes into the lifeless hearts of vampires all those moons ago, before Brexit, The Big Bang Theory and even Britney Spears were a thing. Imagine?
The series was a game-changer, as a regular teenage girl from American suburbia proved that not all superheores wear capes – they have great hair and dodgy leather trousers – and actually, all of us are capable of being a badass.
‘Clearly March is a huge month in my life. 22 years ago today, the show that changed my life, debuted on a little known network, The WB,’ the now 41-year-old wrote on Instagram.
‘To everyone that took a chance on me and this show, thank you. And to all the fans, that watched from the beginning and to those just discovering, thank you for keeping this show and this character relevant.
‘I am eternally grateful to be your chosen one. (Even though I was originally chosen to be Cordelia lol.)’
David Boreanaz, who starred as Buffy’s fanged boyfriend Angel before abandoning Sunnydale for his own spin-off series, bigged up the vampires still wreaking havoc for the slayers today.
He teased: ‘On this date in 1997 Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered. Happy 22nd to all the Vampires out there…I salute you! #Angel Vampires rule…Slayers drool. #Angelus @sarahmgellar.’
Carpenter shared a photo of Cordelia and Buffy in their prom dresses, with the simple caption: ‘Happy 22nd Bday to us #BTVS.’
‘Happy 22nd Birthday to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the amazing family we were, the awesome fans we love, and the best role Xander a man could be,’ enthused Nicholas Brendon, who starred as Cordelia’s on-off boyfriend and Buffy’s best pal.
Joss Whedon confirmed a black actress will be taking on the role of the slayer, while Monica Owusu-Breen, who worked with the showrunner on Agents of SHIELD, has been hired to write the script.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime video.

Simon Pegg ‘couldn’t hide alcoholism’ from Nick Frost (Picture: FilmMagic)
Nick Frost and Simon Pegg share the ultimate bromance after working together on the likes of Hot Fuzz, Shaun Of The Dead and The World’s End.
But while filming these classic movies, it appears Simon couldn’t hide his alcohol addiction from his BFF.
When chatting to Observer magazine, Nick opened up on his relationship with his fellow comedian, and how he knew about his illness because of his own family’s problems.
He told the publication: ‘He tried to hide it. My mum and my sister and my brothers were terrible drinkers. You can’t kid a kidder.’
The 46-year-old confessed that he could have done more to help his friend, after realising Simon was battling addiction.
He said he spotted signs from his own family’s problems (Picture: Getty Images)
He continued: ‘Although in hindsight I could have flagged it up more or helped him more. But at the time, you kid yourself that the worst thing that could happen isn’t going to happen, you know? It’ll be fine.
‘And then you get to a point where it’s not fine, at all… so when do you step in?’
The comedian added: ‘Eventually we all jumped in and got involved to save someone, to save our mate… and that probably goes back to us choosing [each other] as our family.’
Simon has been open about his struggle with the disease and recently thanked his friends for helping him overcome his addiction – putting much praise on the Star Trek director J.J. Abrams.

‘I was depressed,’ he explained. ‘I had always been susceptible to it. But at the same time as I started to ascend into what would conventionally be regarded as a success, I was going down.’
The 48-year-old sought fulfillment and couldn’t understand why material success still left a void.
‘It wasn’t fulfilling me in any way. It wasn’t that it wasn’t fulfilling me, it was because I was depressed. It’s not a mood. It’s a condition.’
His saving grace was came when he was cast as Benji Dunn in the Mission Impossible series alongside Tom Cruise.
Simon fondly recalled how the cast and crew supported him during his difficult time.
‘They took care of me and it helped me to get out of this dark place and realise that life was enjoyable. By the time I finished Ghost Protocol, I was better,’ he said.
‘J.J. Abrams unending faith in me makes me teary to think about it. He’s always stuck by me.’

It’s the end of an era for neighbours and besties Ant and Dec (Picture: Backgrid)
Ant McPartlin might be taking a big step this year with reports that the Britain’s Got Talent host has moved in with his girlfriend, Anne-Marie Corbett.
The big move means that Ant, 43, has separated from his best friend Declan Donnelly for the first time in 30 years as the TV duo have always made sure to be neighbours.
Maybe Ant will still pop round for coffee? (Picture: GoffPhotos.com)
A source told The Sun: ‘Ant and Anne-Marie’s relationship really is going from strength to strength and she has moved in with him very recently.
‘It is obviously a big step for them and, particularly, Anne-Marie, given her situation. But they just want to be together and their home is really a love-nest.’
They claimed: ‘Their friends half-expect further news, like an engagement, once Ant resolves everything with Lisa although he is not talking about that out of respect to Lisa.
‘But Ant and Anne-Marie are happiest spending time at home together and with the girls and the dogs, who are part of the family.’
Anne-Marie is mother to two young children from a previous relationship.
The source reveals that Ant is a ‘homebody’ and loves staying indoors while Anne-Marie is a ‘nurturer’.
‘She is also happy that he has moved away from Chiswick and his old life,’ the source added.
Ant confirmed his relationship with Anne-Marie for the first time earlier this year and described the PA as the ‘most wonderful true woman’.
The TV star praised: ‘Anne-Marie honestly is the fundamental reason for the great change in my life. She’s been my rock. She’s a beautiful soul. We’re very happy.’

They say cheats never prosper but in video games they often do, especially as anti-cheat software is usually ineffective at best.
But Easy-Anti-Cheat seems to be different, with Respawn boasting that they’ve got rid of huge numbers of cheaters from the PC version of Apex Legends.
‘As of today we’ve banned over 355K players on PC through Easy-Anti-Cheat’, said community manager Jay Frechette on Reddit.
‘The service works but the fight against cheaters is an ongoing war that we’ll need to continue to adapt to and be very vigilant about fighting. We take cheating very seriously and care deeply about the health of Apex Legends for all players.’
‘We are working on improvements to combat cheaters and we’re going to have to be pretty secretive about our plans’, he added.
According to Frechette the company has a three-point plan for dealing with cheaters going forward:
We are reaching out and working directly with experts, both within and outside of EA, in this area that we can learn from.
Scaling up our anti-cheat team so we have more dedicated resources.
We are adding a report feature on PC to report cheaters in game that goes directly to Easy-Anti-Cheat.
In the same Reddit post, Frechette promised that Respawn is looking into a fix for players spamming the character select screen and then disconnecting shortly after, but warned a solution would take a while.
He also indicated the company was working on fixing crash bugs and slow server performance but said that the Respawn is not planning to add a ‘reconnect to match’ feature. Some fans have requested such a thing but apparently Respawn feel it will be too open to abuse.
Apex Legends was the most watched game on Twitch last month, unseating Fortnite from its throne, and its popularity shows no sign of slowing down.
Like Fortnite, much of its success depends on a constant stream of new features and tweaks, with the latest rumours – based on data-mining by fans – suggesting non-player characters, remote turrets, and flamethrowers might be added to the game in the future.

Phillip Schofield well and truly added fuel to the fire on last night’s Dancing On Ice – with a cheeky remark about Wes Nelson and Vanessa Bauer’s Pump It routine.
The pair have been dismissing rumours they had a fling at the beginning of their stint on the show, but host Phillip’s introduction to their first performance of the night definitely left people a little red face.
Announcing the pair’s Black Eyed Peas workout-inspired routine, Phillip declared: ‘Would you like to see them pump it?!’
Noticing the double entendre, Holly shot back: ‘As long as that’s the name of the song they’re dancing to!’
Phillip couldn’t resist the cheeky dig (Picture: ITV)
Smirking to the camera, Phillip said: ‘Yes. It is.’
What followed was a risky routine of them performing as if they were in the gym, with a bunch of close-bound lifts that wouldn’t have helped matters at all.
It worked a treat on the judges and viewers though – sending them through to the final round performing Bolero.
Sharing the story online, she said: ‘So before this becomes a thing, literally everything about this is a lie,’ with a cry laughing emoji and thumbs down.
The pair have been fighting off romance rumours throughout the show’s run, especially after Wes’s sudden split from Megan Barton-Hanson.
Wes’ close friendship with Vanessa was the cause of Megan’s ‘jealousy’ at the beginning of DOI. It prompted the Love Island star to accuse Vanessa of strategically announcing her split from her longtime boyfriend Louis Nathaniel at the start of the show.
Dancing On Ice is available to catch up on now on ITV Player.

Ever since she sparked a million crushes in the Blurred Lines video, Emily Ratajkowksi has been one of the most in demand models in the industry.
But she’s got a rival who just as sexy and confident as she is – and it turns out she’s been giving this up-and-comer some advice to slay the modelling game.
The Fat Jewish is the new face of Missguided, with the social media star fronting the brand’s new Self Love Club campaign.
And while many people might feel a tad insecure standing next to Emily Ratajkowksi in swimwear, The Fat Jewish – aka Josh Ostrovsky – knows that he’s just as a much as a 10 as she is.
Josh has received plenty of sage advice from Emily (Picture: Instagram)
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Josh said: ‘I’ve become really close friends with Emily Ratajkowksi, who married one of my closest friends [Sebastian Bear-McClard], and I love hanging out with her and taking pictures with her – because honestly, I like to think that we’re both 10s in completely different ways.
‘The two of us in matching banana hammocks – we’re both 10s, but just different bods. She’s more of a classic 10, I’m more of a giant adult baby 10. I’m living that shit. I’m not afraid to be put on the internet with her in matching thongs. Just celebrate your whole shit, we celebrate all body types.
‘A lot of brands pretend they’re inclusive but it’s really just branding. But at Missguided, they give a fuck, everyone is invited, everyone’s a queen, it’s actually genuine authentic inclusion – a giant body positive rave everyone’s invited to.’
We’re all 10s (Picture: Missguided)
Josh has been in the modelling biz since 2015, as one of the biggest names in plus-size male modelling. But he admits that even when landing editorial shoots, he defaulted to trying to be funny rather than high fashion or sexy – something Emily has convinced him to phase out.
The 37-year-old told us: ‘She’s given me a lot of advice about taking myself a little bit more seriously. At first, I was just being funny when I started doing editorial – because that’s my thing, that’s all I know. My default was ridiculous.
‘But Emily was like, “there are definitely people on the internet who are looking at you and thinking ‘damn look at this guy, he doesn’t give a fuck. How about this, I celebrate my shit like he celebrates his shit'”. If you’ve got it flaunt it. It’s 2019, we’re not reading the comments. I’m kissing all my male friends on the mouth when I see them, we’re happy. Emily said I’m probably inspiring some people to celebrate their bodies, so take it seriously. You’re doing some good, it’s not a joke, feel good about it. And you know what, she was right.’
Josh wants you to stop caring about what others think (Picture: Missguided)
So Josh is now owning his sexiness, and it shows in the Self Love Club campaign, with Josh and other Babes of Missguided – Sahara Raye, Chinq Pink Adriana Sahar, Genelle Seldon, Tabria Majors, Master of Disguise, Tiana Parker, Taylor Giavasis and Marlow Crossland – putting forward six paths to self-love: don’t compare, you’re always a 10; dream big, stay humble; love your body; have fucking fun; just love yourself; and live your best life.
Josh said: ‘The concept of not giving a fuck is really hard, you actually have to go for it. It sounds cliched to say it, but you should do whatever you want. It’s 2019, you can wear what you want, you can say what you want. If you want to start a company that makes tiny scarves for dogs, that could become a billion dollar company. Anything is possible. Be a hoe, be not a hoe, it’s all good. You’ve got to stop caring what people think.
‘When you’re younger, you care about a lot of shit, you have a lot of fucks to give – you care about fashion trends, and your grades, and the opinions of strangers. As you get older, you have less fucks to give, you learn to budget your fucks – give them to your family and friends, but don’t give them to the opinions of strangers.
‘We love sitting around and being desperate for the validation of strangers, but you’ve got to stop caring what people think. And if noone is feeling it, know that me and everyone at Missguided are fucking feeling it.’

Love Island’s Wes Nelson, Towie star Gemma Collins, singer Brian McFadden and presenter Phillip Schofield were among the stars who celebrated the series wrapping up for another year.
James didn’t waste any time getting his party on and downed white wine straight from the bottle as his wife Ola cheered him on.
Sharing a video of James celebrating she added the message: ‘This is how you party after you win!!!!’

‘Proud to have watched him to come from bambi on ice to the best ever @dancingonice celebrity ever!’
Saara Aalto and her professional partner Hamish Gaman, who scored a perfect 40 for both of their routines on Sunday night, were also at the party, and Saara had a quick catch up with her The X Factor co-star Matt Terry. Saara came second to Matt on the show in 2016.
Matt grabbed a photo with his ‘big sis’ Saara and Hamish, saying: ‘I am so so proud of you and all of your achievements. You and @hamishgaman were incredible last night and there really is no limit to what you can do. You are limitless and fearless.
‘I can still remember the first day we met, when I was teaching you swear words in English and carrying your suitcases up the stairs and I am so grateful to have you in my life big sis ! Huge congratulations to @wes.nelson and @jamesjordan1978 also and what a final !!’

During the final James wowed the crowd with a high score, despite suffering from a ‘serious’ shoulder injury.
He had had an accident during a training session, but judges Torvill and Dead still awarded him perfect 10s.

Meanwhile their fellow judges Jason Gardiner and Ashley Banjo gave him 9.5s after saying they felt something was ‘missing’ from their performance.
However, he insisted that he didn’t want to use his injury as an excuse and went on to score a perfect 40 for his second dance.

The former Strictly Come Dancing pro triumphed after weeks of skating culminating in a final which saw him win the coveted trophy ahead of the Love Island star, and singer Saara Aalto who finished in third place.
All of which means Sunday night viewing will be a little less sparkly from now on as the series skates off into the distance.
But we will be seeing it on our screens again in 2020?
Will there be another series of Dancing On Ice in 2020?
Good news folks, as it looks as though Dancing On Ice will indeed be returning to screens next year.
The news was announced by hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby during the final on Sunday night.
No other details have been confirmed though – so we’ll have to wait a while to see whether Jason Gardiner, Ashley Banjo and Torvill and Dean all return – or even if Phil and Holly will be back as hosts.
He picked up a perfect 40 for his next performance, reprising the Dirty Dancing routine from the semi-final – before he and Wes, as the two remaining finalists, tackled Torvill and Dean’s legendary Bolero.
After he was named the winner, a delighted James, in reference to the coveted Dancing On Ice trophy, said: ‘I couldn’t have given it any more and the only reason I had to give so much is because of that little thing there.’

Cinema visits are so often transformative experiences – but how would you react if you saw the star of the movie you’d gone to see serving you popcorn before the screening?
That’s what a bunch of lucky Marvel fans got to experience over the weekend anyway, as Captain Marvel star Brie Larson turned up at AMC Clifton Commons in New Jersey to take in her big starring role among the cinema-going public.
Larson chatted with cinemagoers, served up popcorn and slurped a giant soft drink as she took in the movie theatre experience on Saturday night (9 March).
‘I just heard that I was on the cups and popcorn, and I just wanted to see [it] for myself,’ Larson told movie fans as she was introduced prior to the screening and highlighted the Captain Marvel-branded receptacles on sale.
To be fair, that must be pretty cool.
Reports that Larson was denied a second interview with the boss of that AMC theatre’s catering staff were unconfirmed, but we doubt that there were many complaints from starry-eyed patrons about things like dodgy popcorn or over-iced soda on this special occasion.
Captain Marvel enjoyed a bumper weekend at the box office, racking up an eye-watering $455 million (£350 million) in worldwide ticket sales – the biggest opening ever for a female-fronted film.
‘Marvel Studios once again proves that stories combining diverse perspectives and different experiences make great movies that play to everybody,’ Disney’s distribution chief Cathleen Taff told The Hollywood Reporter.
They also like it when A-listers go and hang out with the general public, too.

For a game that’s been in development for years there’s been worryingly little footage of Shenmue III that looks anything like a finished video game.
Most of it up till now has been brief tech demos and scene-setters, but this latest video does include an actual playable section of the story.
It’s still pretty short, and the cartoonish look of some of the characters is not going to please everyone, but it may mean the game makes its 27 August release date after all.
The footage shows the game’s fighting system in action, which still seems similar to the Virtua Fighter-influenced original.
Ignoring the character designs, it also showcases the new facial animation – which as feared does seem a bit low-tech. But then the animation in general has always been questionable.
The trailer debuted at the MAGIC 2019 event, where apparently the game was shown in some detail. So with a bit of luck there might be some more videos later.
Shenmue III has already been delayed before so if it doesn’t make its August release date it won’t be a massive surprise, but the fact that it’s got this close without a date change has got to be a good sign.
Jennifer Hudson got some practice for her portrayal of Aretha Franklin with a powerhouse performance at the Grammys tribute concert last night.
Aretha, who died in August at the age of 76, was honoured with a star-studded tribute concert, Aretha! A Grammy Celebration for the Queen of Soul, which aired on Sunday evening.
Celine Dion, H.E.R., Janelle Monae, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys and Sza were among the host of ladies who sang Aretha’s iconic hits including Respect, I Say A Little Prayer and A Natural Woman.
Confirming her momentous role, Hudson said in a statement last week: ‘It is an absolute honor to be a part of bringing Ms Franklin’s story to audiences who adore her around the world.
‘She is one of the most iconic and talented artists of all time and what a dream come true it is to portray her extraordinary life on screen.’
Elsewhere during the tribute concert, Celine belted out a rendition of A Change Is Gonna Come, and praised the late legend backstage.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the Canadian singer said: ‘You sing with your heart, but she has taught us that, when we believe so much, that it comes from deeper than the heart, it comes from the soul.

‘So we did not invent those words, she gave those words. She put those words into our repertoire, into our lives and dreams… our performances.’
Celine added: ‘I feel extremely, extremely fortunate and honored that they called me to pay tribute to her because I think that we all took through the years a little part of her. We did not sing her tonight, we lived her.’
In a rather sweet moment, Fantasia was filmed fangirling over rising star H.E.R. backstage, telling the talented musician: ‘You are a beast, you are a blessing and you music is a breath of fresh air so never stop.’
The Respect biopic is set for release on 14 August 2020.

Michonne’s pregnancy will be a key plot point in next week’s episode (Picture: AMC)
The Walking Dead paints a grim, world-gone-very-wrong scenario most of the time, but it’s not all death, walkers and despair in its zombie-populated dystopia.
Titled Scars, the next instalment of season nine will rewind the narrative – which has skipped forward six years this season – to explore some of the time between the end of episode five (when Rick left in a helicopter) and the show’s current present-day.
Promo pictures for Scars have now emerged, with one image showing a pregnant Michonne – who is, of course, still armed with her trusty katana as she carries baby RJ.
Speaking about her character’s pregnancy, Danai Gurira told The Talking Dead back in November: ‘We saw Rick and Michonne attempt to add to the future – well, it worked. There’s a little boy.’
Gurira recalled being ‘stunned’ when she was told by showrunner Angela Kang that Michonne would become a mother again following Rick’s emotional exit – especially as Michonne is led to believe that her partner perished as a result of the bridge explosion.
‘I was stunned, because I never expected that to be where we would go,’ she recalled.
‘But I thought it was very beautiful, about the idea that he left her with their son. It’s heartbreaking, but it’s beautiful, because there’s a new little Grimes.’

Kang explained to The Hollywood Reporter late last year that ‘baby booms’ were one of the ‘signs of hopefulness’ which have emerged in the world of The Walking Dead following the conclusion of season eight’s ‘all-out war’.
‘We wanted to show that Rick and Michonne were committed to each other, fully,’ she explained.
‘They hadn’t gotten married the way others had; there was no proposal, no ring. And yet, they’re the couple who are completely committed to each other.
‘It seemed like a sign of their commitment, and their optimism for the future. They believed they could bring a new child into this world and they could make the world better for that child.’
The Walking Dead continues on AMC Sundays and airs on Fox UK Mondays at 9pm. And is available to watch on NOW TV.

Turns out Bran Stark isn’t The Night King in Game of Thrones after all (Picture: HBO)
Game of Thrones fans have been adamant that Bran Stark is The Night King, but now it looks like there’s actual confirmation from actor Isaac Hempstead Wright that we’ve all been barking up the wrong tree entirely.
Well, actually, even Isaac was baffled when he saw the Bran-less trailer and he’s stressed that his absence genuinely has nothing to do with The Night King. In fact, he really wishes you’d stop asking him that.

‘Whenever I post anything on Instagram I just have a barrage of comments going “Night King! Hello Night King! You are Night King! Hello the Night King!” he groaned to RadioTimes.com.
‘I mean, I suppose Bran is quite an interesting character to theorise over because of his whole link to time travel and whatnot. Because you can kind of get away with anything theory-wise and make it sound convincing if you’ve got time travel involved.’
He added: ‘I mean it’s quite an interesting theory, the Night King one. I just think it seems a bit obvious. A bit cheesy.’
‘People will see he has a target he wants to kill and you will find out who that is,’ the Slovakian-born star told Entertainment Weekly.
Thankfully, there’s just one month to go until all will be revealed.
Game of Thrones returns to Sky Atlantic and HBO on April 14.
