Sheridan Smith is to play a grieving mum in a drama about Stephen Port, called The Barking Murders.

And viewers have been given their first look at the 37-year-old in action, on set of the BBC show.

She will be taking on the role of Sarah Sak in the series, whose son Anthony Walgate was the first victim of Port – the ‘Grindr serial killer’.

The actress was spotted looking clutching her phone to her face in a floral shirt as she began filming.

Sheridan will be joined by a string of famous faces for the show, including Jaime Winstone and Stephen Merchant – who is taking on the role of the infamous murderer.

And she will already familiar with the drama’s writers, having worked with Jeff Pope and Neil McKay on The Moorside.

‘Neil and I are delighted to be working with Sheridan Smith again, who brings such honesty and passion to every character she plays,’ Jeff – who also worked on Appropriate Adult – said about the role.

‘Stephen Merchant didn’t hesitate when we asked him to play serial killer Stephen Port and we are so grateful that he has agreed to take on such a difficult and challenging role.’

Port attacked four men during 2014 and 2015, using dating app Grindr to lure his victims to their deaths.

During that time, he gave Anthony Walgate, Gabriel Kovari, Daniel Whitworth and Jack Taylor date-rape drug GHB, before raping and murdering them.

He was sentenced to life in prison in November, 2016.

The series will focus on the families of Port’s victims, and how they dealt with the news.

As well as The Barking Murders, Sheridan was recently announced as the favourite to be taking on the role of model Sam Fox.

A biographical TV series about the former Page 3 model is on the way, with the Cilla star hotly tipped to get the part.

And she already has Sam’s seal of approval.

‘I would love for Sheridan to just say yes. I’m working on it. She would be perfect,’ she told the Daily Star. ‘I want to find a rising star to play my younger self and Sheridan Smith in my 30s.’

Speaking about the show, she also revealed the ‘wheels are in motion’ and is hoping to start filming ‘before the end of the year’.

Captain Marvel directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck have revealed that the character Mar-Vell was originally written as a man – until Anette Bening came on board.

Girl power at its finest, guys.

It’s no secret that the character has been traditionally male in the comics, but the directing duo revealed that they followed this approach in the script for the Brie Larson flick until pretty late in the game.

In fact, Jude Law was originally tipped to be playing Mar-Vell, a Kree warrior that eventually defected and defended Earth against his people. He was also the original Captain Marvel.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recalled: ‘We had already started some initial casting discussions for an actor, a male actor to play Mar-Vell. No one specific, but we’d started looking at lists. And we were struggling with it, frankly.’

However, when the decision to merge the roles of Mar-Vell and the Supreme Intelligence came along, everything fell into place for the directors.

On casting the American Beauty star, Anna added to Entertainment Weekly: ‘We’ve just been big fans of her for a long time, and she’s got all those qualities. She’s got the great mentor quality that we were looking for in that character, but she can also be really tough, and that was really necessary for both aspects.

‘She can be regal, which was perfect for the Supreme Intelligence, and she can also just be casual and cool and laid back, which was necessary for Lawson.’

However, Mar-Vell isn’t the only thing the dynamic duo changed from the comics, with Carol Danvers now being a fighter pilot, who shoots a light-speed engine to keep it out of Kree’s hands during an intense battle, as opposed to being head of security at the US Air Force.

Meanwhile, the movie also answers how Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury lost his eye, and was subjected to wearing his trademark eye patch for the rest of his days.

Spoiler alert: it has a lot to do with a pesky alien cat.

Jon Snow has proven he’s more than happy to bust out some moves to Madonna’s Material Girl as he joins Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman for their 24-hour Danceathon in aid of Comic Relief.

The Strictly Come Dancing presenters started dancing at 7pm on Monday night and have, at the time of writing, been moving for more than 20 hours, raising more than £400,000.

Although they’re definitely starting to flag, it’s nothing a few celeb pals can’t fix.

The 71-year-old news reporter looked to be having the time of his life as he joined the pair for a boogie, jamming to Madonna’s Material girl.

Earlier on in the challenge, Tess, 49, and Claudia, 47, had a visit from their Strictly pal, pro dancer Aljaž Škorjanec, who made sure Tess was keeping true to her ballroom roots.

Drag queen Jinkx Monsoon was another famous face paying Tess and Claudia a visit, alongside I’m A Celeb star Fleur East, who told viewers: ‘I’ve been showing them some moves.’

TBH, they need all the help they can get at this point.

Davina McCall told the audience: ‘The girls are literally so exhausted, and they don’t want to tell you. They’re doing this all for a reason, please, if you can, donate!’

‘I’m not going to pretend it’s been easy,’ Tess said to BBC News.

Davina added: ‘Claudia is strapped up on her leg, both of them are strapped up on their back. Tess has been in tears, she’s also feeling nauseous, and Claudia is talking about baby giraffes.’

We won’t ask.

However, not everything to come out of the Danceathon has been good news, with Piers Morgan mocking the pair and busting out some moves to 50 Cent on Good Morning Britain.

We can’t unsee it.

But one person who might not be getting an invite to the upcoming wedding is Jose Canseco, who took the opportunity to accuse Alex of cheating on Jen with his ex-wife, Jessica.

Cheat viewers are already threatening to boycott the ITV drama already after Leah Dale’s cat Betsy was murdered in cold blood.

Fingers were pointed in Rose Vaughan’s, played by Molly Windsor, direction in suspicion of the cruel killing, after it was hinted that she’d kidnapped the feline, oh and killed Leah’s husband Adam (Tom Goodman).

On top of frustrations over front doors opening the wrong way Rose’s assassination of the pet, which was later discovered on the curb, seemed like a step too far and viewers complained on Twitter about the sadistic storyline.

‘That’s it! I’m turning off. When will writers realise there’s no need to kill the cat!!’ slammed one angry watcher.

Others echoed similar sentiments, adding: ‘NOT OKAY WITH THEM KILLING OFF THE CAT’ and ‘Why did you have to kill off the cat?’

The second episode of the psychological thriller is set to continue tonight, with more drama in the pipeline.

‘With relations becoming increasingly hostile, Leah resorts to more extreme measures to expose Rose, and as tensions flare between Leah and Adam, could it be that her husband is taking Rose’s side?’ teases the synopsis.

‘Rose seems to pursue a more personal retaliation against Leah, but who is telling the truth?’

Cheat continues on Tuesday night at 9pm on ITV.

Devil May Cry 5 has proven to be a successful comeback for the franchise, taking the number one spot in both UK charts and selling almost exactly the same as reboot DmC: Devil May Cry from 2013.

That may sound disappointing until you factor in the rise in digital sales over the last six years, which will mean Devil May Cry 5 sold considerably more overall.

Unusually though we do know exactly how much the game sold at retail as, whether by accident or design, Chart-Track has this week included actual sales figures, that show Devil May Cry 5 sold 20,872 physical copies.

The PlayStation 4 accounted for 80% of those sales, with the Xbox One version only managing to get to number four in the individual format charts.

Former number one Anthem saw its sales slip 62% in its third week, with the PlayStation 4 version falling straight out of the individual formats top 10.

Thanks to Chart-Track we know Anthem sold 4,974 physical copies last week, across all formats, beaten by Red Dead Redemption II which saw a 3% rise in sales and sold 5,980 copies.

The only other new release of the week was Square Enix’s critically mauled Left Alive, which snuck in at number 39 in the all formats chart with a paltry 947 copies sold.

This week’s big new release is Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, which although an online-focused title should still have little trouble unseating Devil May Cry 5 from the top spot.

Holly Willoughby has beaten Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly at the TRIC Awards 2019, nabbing the gong for TV Personality of the Year.

The 38-year-old This Morning presenter, who was absent from Tuesday’s This Morning because she was ‘saying goodbye’ to her beloved grandma, came out on top over the Geordie duo and Celebrity Juice’s Keith Lemon.

Ant and Dec won the highly-coveted award last year, just months before Ant, 43, was charged for drink-driving last April, but Holly’s been hard at work over the past few months – even stepping in to co-host I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2018.

On top of that, Holly’s continued being he role of team captain on Celebrity Juice, co-presented Dancing On Ice with Phillip Schofiled, and kept up with her This Morning duties.

Speaking about Holly’s success at this year’s TRIC, This Morning editor Martin Frizell beamed: ‘Holly deserves this award more than ever this year after all her recent success.’

He added to The Sun Online: ‘She is a joy to work with and all at This Morning are very proud of her.’

Holly has yet to comment on her win, as she’s sadly been mourning the loss of her grandmother who has passed away.

The mum-of-three paid tribute to her Nan on Instagram, writing: ‘Today we say goodbye for a little while to my beautiful Nan… go and be with Grandad… he’s been waiting for you… love you… miss you….’

The funeral took place on Tuesday, with Big Brother’s Rylan Clark-Neal stepping in for Holly on This Morning.

South Korean singer-songwriter and presenter Jung Joon Young has admitted to crimes of sharing hidden camera footage, as he today announced he was retiring from the industry.

The 30-year-old had been accused of sharing hidden footage of women on 11 different occasions in chatrooms.

Today in South Korea, the performer issued a statement in which he apologised and admitted to ‘all the sins that have been reported.’

On Tuesday, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency revealed they were booking Jung Joon Young in relation to the allegations, on charges of violating the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes.

Later, in an apology issued by MAKEUS entertainment he said he was ’embarrassed’ and had a ‘guilty conscious’

‘I admit to all of my sins that have been reported. I have filmed women without consent and have distributed in social media chat rooms, and I’ve felt no guilt while doing so,’ he continued.

‘As a public figure, it was a very careless act worthy of criticism.

‘I kneel on my knees and want to apology to the women in the videos who’ve faced the disgusting truth through this case and feel anger beyond disappointment and shock.’

He then announced he was leaving the programs he was currently on and would cease any current promotions.

‘I will not take time of reflection but will let go of everything as a public figure, and look back at my unethical, unlawful acts which are considered a crime for the rest of my life,’ his apology continued.

‘Out of all, I want to apologise to the women who were harmed by my acts, to those who went beyond disappointment and felt anger, and to those who made me a public figure and cared for me.

‘I will properly participate in the investigation which is set to start on the morning of the 14th with all honesty. I will take all the punishment for my crime.’

According to SBS News, Jung Joon Young was allegedly one of the celebrities in a chatroom involving Big Bang’s Seungri – who has retired from entertainment after being accused of providing escorts for VIP clients.

The report alleges that conversations dating back to late 2015 were discovered through a restored Excel file, and saw a man, believed to be Jung Joon Young, telling a friend he had had sex, before uploading a three second clip of the act which was secretly recorded.

According to Soompi, the knowledge of these images in chatrooms first came to light earlier this week on 11 March, following a report from SBS funE.

Jung Joon Young was abroad when the allegations came to light, however upon returning to South Korea, he has been banned from leaving the country.

Tanya Burr and husband Jim Chapman have split, after four years of marriage.

The YouTube stars first started dating in 2007, tying the knot eight years later, but have called time on their relationship.

Tanya, 29, confirmed the sad news on her Instagram story, telling her 3million followers: ‘Just wanted to let you all know that a few weeks ago Jim and I made the painful decision to no longer be together.

‘We have a huge amount of love and respect for each other and will continue to remain friends forever.

‘Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy at this difficult time.’

While Jim shared a similar statement on his own page, adding: ‘We will continue to support one another in all of our ventures and are both looking forward to what the future holds’.

An insider also added to the Sun: ‘There was no one to blame they just grew apart.’

Fans rushed to support the YouTube star in the comments underneath her recent Instagram upload.

‘I’m honestly so shook. This news doesn’t seem real,’ one posted.

‘I’m so sad about the news. I wish you both the best,’ a follower commented.

Would you believe that Peppa Pig creators once bored people with their drawings before reaching £1billion success?

The show’s creators did not get off to a swimming start as they admitted that they were worried their idea would never get off the ground and – it gets worst – that people were initially bored of the idea.

But if Rome was not built in a day we can’t expect a global empire worth £1 billion to spring out of nowhere.

In the early days, Neville Astley and Mark Baker bored adult humans in the pub with the idea of the playful little piglet who has gone on to be one of the most popular children’s programme globally.

The sassy swine is so well known she is broadcast in 180 countries and translated into 40 languages.

Neville explained to the Radio Times: ‘People in the pub would ask us, “What are you drawing?” We’d say, “A pig, called Peppa, it’s going to be big.” They’d lose interest and wander off’.

The duo told the publication that they were inspired by 1970s cartoon classics including Roobarb and Pingu, and worked away for hours in their homes or pubs.

The beloved show has now been running for a good 15 years but not without a hiccup.

‘We’d made this little trailer for Peppa but hadn’t got anywhere,’ recalled Mark. ‘It’s very difficult to sell your own creative work. The good thing about Phil is he’s quite thick-skinned.’

We wonder if Neville and Mark would have predicted that their pub drawings would one day influence children across the pond to speak with a British accent.

American parents have been noticing that the popular Channel 5 cartoon has given their sprogs an ever-so British-English tone after it first aired in 2004 (today broadcast in the USA on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.)

Peppa speaks with a slow-paced, some might say, cute middle-England accent and the impact of her speech has clearly rubbed off on youngsters across the Atlantic.

PewDiePie has celebrated hitting 89 million subscribers before his competitor T-Series, as supporters of the music label have claimed he’s ‘insulting’ India.

The battle rages on.

The Swedish gamer, who’s currently sitting a mere 1000 subscribers ahead of the music label, tweeted the news to his followers, simply writing: ’89mil son.’

’90mil incoming,’ one fan told him, while another asked: ‘Is there even that many ppl on earth?’

However, the celebration comes after the 29-year-old revealed some T-Series supporters had been accusing him of ‘insulting India’ in his video comments.

‘Tseries now have people spamming my diss track to make them subscribe because: pewdiepie insults india,’ he tweeted.

Meanwhile, the record label, which has also passed the 89 million mark, has been going full steam ahead in its attempt to overtake Pewds – real name Felix Kjellberg.

After months of silence, Bhushan Kumar, the Managing Director of T-Series uploaded a video, urging supporters to subscribe to ‘Make India win.’

Since, famous faces from India have come out in droves to promote the channel, including actor Anil Kapoor, who told fans: ‘Attention, attention, attention! India’s very own YouTube channel is on the verge of becoming the world’s number one YouTube channel.

‘So put all your hearts into winning this. All you have to do is subscribe to T-Series on YouTube.’

And the efforts are clearly paying off, with T-Series overtaking Felix multiple times.

However, with the current king of YouTube having held his spot since 2013, he’s always pulled back his crown within minutes.

While T-Series have only just joined the fray, PewDiePie fans have been campaigning for months to keep him in his top spot.

American YouTube star MrBeast headed up the campaign, with stars buying billboards and radio ads for the gamer, and even hacking video games to promote the channel.

And, with the top spot constantly changing hands, it looks like the battle is far from over.

Russell Tovey will be one of the latest celebrities to enter the Bake Off tent tonight.

The actor has been a regular face on TV for nearly 20 years with his career also spanning across film and live theatre.

Russell split from his fiance Steve Brockman in June last year just months after the couple had announced their engagement.

Last week’s episode saw comedian Russell Brand walk away as the winner, beating Jon Richardson, Hanna Cockroft and American actor John Lithgow.

The five-part Stand Up To Cancer series has been popular with Bake Off fans and aims to help raise money to fund cancer research.

And she is not lying there. If not dealt with properly –  with the correct techniques, products and equipment –  black hair can be left unredeemable or permanently damaged.

Some black stars even opt to bring their own pre-styled wigs to set rather than rely on a stylist to work on their actual tresses.

The America’s Got Talent judge explained to an enquiring fan on Twitter that in order to work on Hollywood productions, hairstylists and make-up artists need to be members of a particular union – which she says is ‘extremely difficult’ and ‘expensive’ to join.

And Gabrielle is not alone with this sentiment as former Drake and Josh star Yvette explained that she aims to have her hair already done before arriving on set.

She added on Twitter that there are also issues when it comes to make-up artists, with many celebs taking their own foundations, lipsticks and concealers with them.

Referring to the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild, Yvette said: ‘Proficiency w/ Black hair & faces is not a specialty. We aren’t on the bonus menu. EVERY stylist & artist in @Local_706 should be able to do WHOEVER walks into the trailer. These are BASIC skills. Black artists can do everybody. Why is it one-sided?’

Many fans took to the social media site to point out that black actors are having to pay out of their own pockets while other cast members get the service for free.

Elsewhere in showbiz, black models have been very vocal for years about being forced to take matters into their own hands.

Victoria Secret’s model Leomie Anderson, who voiced her complaints about a makeup artist not having a foundation to match her darker skin tone via Twitter in 2016, posted a video called Black Model Survival Kit on her website to help others ‘survive the black model mishaps that you come up against.’

Her video was filled with hair and make-up tips to help models avoid looking ashy because some MUA’s foundation shades do not match their skin.

Her tutorial came after her rant in February 2016 when she documented an unpleasant experience at a gig.

She tweeted: ‘Of course I get given to the makeup artist who had ONE brown foundation she was trying to mix with white on a sly because she’s not equipped.

‘Had to ask her straight “do you have foundation for my skin tone orrrr?” My girl started sweating and said “I like to mix brands.”’

She continued: ‘Why is it that the black make-up artists are busy with blonde, white girls and slaying their make-up and I have to supply my own foundation?

‘Why are there more white [makeup] artists backstage than black when black ones can do all races’ [makeup]?

‘This is probably the first season that a white hairdresser hasn’t said to me “Oh I’ve done Naomi Campbell’s weave, I know what I’m doing.'”

Strictly Come Dancing’s Tess Daly screamed in fear as she narrowly avoided a major disaster during her Comic Relief danceathon.

The 49-year-old presenter, who was joined by partner in crime Claudia Winkleman for the fundraising event, almost took a tumble during Beyoncé’s Crazy In Love – the first track of the challenge.

Before the task kicked off, Tess addressed her 442,000 Instagram followers, telling them she was feeling apprehensive about the whole thing.

‘Guys, I am very excited and I’m also a little bit nervous, because tonight myself and Claudia Winkleman are dancing, staying up right, staying awake, giving all of our best moves, for 24 hours,’ she told them.

‘We are dancing for Comic Relief to raise funds in a dance-a-thon so I hope you can join us and get involved because we would love to have your support.

And she had every reason to be a little anxious with that little slip waiting for her right around the corner.

During the 15th hour of their danceathon, Claudia explained to BBC news how DJ Trevor Nelson told her she’d ‘peaked’ for bouncing for the first four hours.

‘I went, “Don’t be silly. I know I’m 47 but I can go on like this for 17 months.

‘About two minutes later, my knee clicked out, my back went out and Tess got sick.’

Tess interrupted: ‘But we’re going to keep going. We’re not going to stop.’

After a three-year absence from our screens (with the exception of a Children in Need special), The Great British Sewing Bee returned for another season of entertainment so wholesome, it rivals that of The Great British Bake Off.

After season four, Claudia Winkleman left the sewing bee for undisclosed reasons, and was replaced by comedian Joe Lycett.

The 30-year-old has already appeared in the likes of Live At The Apollo, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Would I Lie To You? and Celebrity Juice, so is no stranger to screen time.

Four new celebrity faces are heading into the Great Celebrity Bake Off tent on Tuesday night to show Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith what they can do.

Among those joining the line-up on Tuesday is actress Michelle Keegan, who’ll be joining Rylan Clark-Neal, Russell Tovey and James Acaster as they slave over those hot ovens in aid of a good cause (Stand Up 2 Cancer).

Michelle originally found fame in Coronation Street as Tina McIntyre, but she’s gone on to enjoy a pretty successful acting career since she left the cobbles in 2014, in a tragic storyline which saw Tina killed off.

Here’s what you’ll be seeing her in post-Bake Off.

What is Michelle Keegan up to next?

The actress recently confirmed she has signed up for series five of Our Girl, in which she plays Georgie Lane.

Keegan has been in three series so far, recently signing up for a fourth round as Georgie – who’ll be promoted to a Sergeant in the next season – and saying she was excited to be back on board for a new six-part series of the show.

‘Being in Our Girl has been one of the highlights of my career so far,’ she said as the news was confirmed.

‘I feel very lucky to be part of the show and I’m really excited that it’s coming back.’

What has Michelle Keegan been in since Coronation Street?

The 31-year-old has been in a string of shows since her time in Weatherfield came to an end.

She appeared in the BBC drama Ordinary Lies in 2015, before replacing Lacey Turner in Our Girl.

The actress has also appeared in ITV2’s Plebs, as well as playing Bobby Moore’s wife Tina Dean in the ITV miniseries Tina and Bobby, which aired in early 2017.

More recently she has been filmed the Sky One series Brassic, created by This Is England’s Joe Gilgun and Shamesless writer Danny Brocklehurst.

So Captain Marvel has been released to some pretty massive fanfare, box office record-breaking and boundary shaking.

Is that reflected in the reviews from us, though?

The recently-released Marvel tale of Carol Danvers has been so hotly tipped ever since it was announced way back in 2014, and now it’s been released it’s got shining reviews from many and a few mehs from punters who wanted more.

Because they always want more.

There’s no doubt people are voting with their money, though, with the flick earning $455 million (£346 million) at the box office and scoring the biggest ever opening for a female-led film.

But us, here at Metro.co.uk, well, it seems we’re a little divided. By all accounts the cat’s cute, though.

What did Claire Rutter think?

‘I was prepared not to enjoy Captain Marvel. I just wanted to get to Avengers to be honest. But this definitely made me sit up and pay attention.

‘Brie was believable as the girl who struggled and overcame her setbacks to be the biggest bad ass in the universe.

‘But Jude Law, I could not get on board with, I couldn’t get past his “leading man in a romantic comedy” smile.

‘Djimon Honsou was underused, with iconic roles in the likes of Gladiator, I wanted to see more.

‘That being said, the nostalgia element was on point. Also, I’ve still been questioning why they would allow Vers to join them as part of their team, is this really plausible? However, Goose made me like cats, so that’s a thumbs up.’

Okay, so that’s one vote for the Cat. What are Tilly Pearce’s Marvel(lous) thoughts?

‘The cat was the real MVP. I thought the film and music was cool and the Stan Lee cameo was super sweet.

‘But I kinda left disappointed, I wanted a stronger story overall and I don’t think it delivered.’

Alright, two for the cat. Now your turn, Adam Starkey…

‘The arrival of Brie Larson into the MCU might be the focus of Captain Marvel, but this throwback origin story is a tired, forgettable and oddly bland vessel for the actress.

‘Held back by Marvel’s typical issues of planting seeds for steps ahead, and a main character who is under-served in the script, you’re left with a film which will be easily swept under the rug once Avengers: Endgame rolls around.

‘PS. when a cat becomes the highlight of the film, you’ve got a problem.’

Sorry, cat. Let’s see if Rebecca Lewis mentions the feline…

‘Captain Marvel had a lot riding on her shoulders but the MCU’s first female superhero shrugged all those concerns off by simply acting like the weight of 11 years of male-dominated superhero films never even existed.

‘A lot of that is down to directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who were previously known for quiet yet intense indie dramas such as Half Nelson, and who have bought that sensibility to the MCU, but also Brie Larson, whose Carol Danvers is steely and determined yet lost and searching for acceptance.

‘The story has an unexpected and wonderful twist but it is not without its issues; the anti-imperialist message it flaunts is completely at odds with Carol’s own history – and the story’s praise for her work – with the US Air Force… and although the de-aging process on Samuel L Jackson is incredible to see on screen, it’s not able to hide that it’s a 71-year-old man running.

‘Yet ultimately, this is the strongest Marvel film in years, pure of heart and full of honesty and with a realness to it that has been missing from Marvel films for a few years.’

No cat mention!

But 3/4 positive reviews ain’t bad, right? In fact, let’s just give it 3/4…

Bollywood producers are working on a Mother Teresa biopic, in a bid to ‘pay tribute to the noble soul’.

The film, focusing on the incredible life of the nun, will feature ‘top talent’ from around the world, with Pradeep Sharma, Nitin Manmohan, Girish Johar and Prachi Manmohan set to produce.

Speaking about the upcoming project, Seema Upadhyay said: ‘We visited the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata and the experience was surreal.’

‘She is a global icon and we will ensure to leave no stone unturned to meet her international stature and pay our tribute to the noble soul,’ the producers added in a statement.

‘We hope we will do justice and will be able to spread the message for peace, love and humanity that Mother Teresa stood for.’

Girish also gave his Twitter fans a look at the artwork for the film, showing a close-up image of her praying hands.

‘Proud NEW journey……,’ he wrote alongside the upload.

‘Official biopic on Nobel laureate #MotherTeresa launched, produced by Pradeep Sharma, Nitin Manmohan, Girish Johar & @Prachinm.

So far, it is not yet known who will be playing the part of the icon – aka no word if Scarlett Johansson is free.

The film is set to be released in 2020.

This isn’t the first time the life of Mother Teresa has been depicted on screen, with Richard Attenborough narrating a documentary back in 1986.

And The Letters, released in 2014, explored her life through notes she wrote to confidant Father Celeste.

Amy Schumer has never been known for doing things the standard way, so when it came to promoting her new Netflix special, we knew we were in for a weird one.

The star, who announced she was pregnant back in October of last year, told her fans in a video that she plans to be more ‘dignified’ this time around.

Sounds legit.

‘I am done being dirty,’ the 37-year-old revealed. ‘It’s not who I am anymore.’

She added: ‘I know it’s pretty weird to hear that from me, but get used to it.’

Pointing to her stomach, she reasoned: ‘Because I’m already kind of an amazing mum.’

However, the Amy we have come to know and love returned to us when the star threw up a little after she said she was feeling ‘super blessed’.

Ever the composed lady, she soldiered on, asking: ‘Where was I? Oh right, my newfound gentility.’

Now that I’m a role model to my little fetus, I’ve got to be more mature, more grown-up, more, like, dignified,’ she pointed out, before throwing up again…a little more this time.

‘I just want to steer clear of sharing overly personal details,’ the comedian explained, before making us feel a little queasy with a whole load of vomit.

Girl, we did not need to see that in HD.

Despite suffering with terrible pregnancy sickness, Amy’s set to poke fun at it in her new special, Growing, although she reassures viewers that there’ll only be 10 minutes of pregnancy-related comedy ‘mostly because Ali Wong threatened my life.’

Meanwhile, the star was forced to get serious recently, and cancel some of her tour dates.

Amy told her 7.9 million followers that she was ’embarrassed’ she had to cancel the final dates of her tour, but because her pregnancy sickness isn’t getting any easier, doctors haven’t cleared her to fly.

‘I wanted to push through and do my shows because I hate letting people down and I love stand up and money!’ she told fans. ‘But more than that I have to think about my health and the baby.’
