Seungri has been dropped by YG Entertainment following allegations made against him.

Earlier this week, Big Bang star Seungri announced that he is retiring from the entertainment industry following allegations that he provided escorts for foreign investors and VIP clients.

Now, YG has confirmed that they have terminated the idol’s exclusive contract.

In a statement, the agency said: ‘Hello, this is YG Entertainment.

‘Starting with the assault case at the club that Seungri participated in, various suspicions and controversies have continuously arisen. We bow our heads and express deep apologies for causing trouble to many people including fans.

‘On March 12, following the announcement of Seungri’s retirement, YG agreed to Seungri’s request and decided to terminate his exclusive contract.

‘YG acknowledges that as a management company, we were not able to manage thoroughly, and we are deeply reflecting.

‘Lastly, YG realizes the need for extensive reform and promises to put in our full effort into achieving this together with all of our staff.’

Seungri, 28, broke the news that he was retiring a day after being booked for aiding in providing sexual escort services.

He wrote on Instagram: ‘‘At this moment, it seems like it would be good for me to retire from the entertainment industry. I’ve decided to retire from the entertainment industry because of the huge social controversy that has arisen. I am under investigation, and I will receive investigation with sincerity so that the building suspicions can be revealed.

‘During the past month and a half, I have received criticism and hate from the public and been in a situation where every investigative agency in this country is investigating me. I just cannot accept causing pain to those around me just for my sake.

‘I would like to sincerely thank all of the fans both in and out of Korea who have shown me love for the past ten years. For the sake and honor of Big Bang and YG, [my career is] ending here. I would like to apologise one more time.’

Seungri, real name Lee Seung-hyun, is accused of setting up VIP clients at his now defunct club Burning Sun with escorts providing sexual services.

A Kakao Talk exchange allegedly between the popstar and three others in 2016 appeared to show Seungri arranging female escorts to serve potential investors.

In a text allegedly sent by Seungri, it said: ‘Pick the ones who’ll sleep with them without a fuss.’

Seungri has denied sending these texts, claiming they were fabricated.

This week, it was alleged that Seungri used a Kakaotalk group to organise sex workers to serve foreign investors at nightclub ARENA in Gangnam. It has been alleged that there were a number of celebrities in this chatroom.

Jung Joon Young has admitted to being one of the celebs in the chatroom, and that he shared illegally recorded hidden camera footage of sex acts in the group.

Both stars will be investigated on 14 March in separate cases – Seungri is accused of violating the Act on the Punishment of Arrangement of Commercial Sex Acts.

Mike Rutherford has hinted at a potential Genesis reunion show.

Ten years after the band – Mike, Phil Collins and Tony Banks – last performed live together, Mike has returned with a new Mike And The Mechanics album and suggested that the threesome are ‘all fit and healthy and we get on well, so who knows?’

The I Can’t Dance musicians formed in the late 1960s but found mega fame in the 1980s with hits such as Invisible Touch, Tonight Tonight Tonight, and Jesus He Knows Me.

‘I’ve always said, for years, never say never and we did the tour 10 years ago, and Phil is in good shape,’ Mike said on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday.

‘We’re all fit and healthy and we get on well, so who knows?’

The band announced a reunion tour in 2006, and the comeback gigs sold out in just 90 minutes but in 2011 Phil announced his retirement, after illness led to the announcement thathe could no longer play the drums.

A statement from Collins on the Genesis band website said: ‘There isn’t any drama regarding my “disability” and playing drums.

‘Somehow during the last Genesis tour I dislocated some vertebrae in my upper neck and that affected my hands.’

He added: ‘After a successful operation on my neck, my hands still can’t function normally.

‘Maybe in a year or so it will change, but for now it is impossible for me to play drums or piano. I am not in any “distressed” state; stuff happens in life.’

In 2015, he confirmed an end to his retirement but in June 2017, Phil concerned fans when he cancelled gigs after receiving a nasty gash on the head when he tripped on his way to his hotel bathroom; the two Royal Albert Hall dates were then rescheduled for November 2017.

At the time of his accident, it was revealed on his Facebook page that he suffers from ‘drop foot’, which makes it difficult to walk and contributed to the mishap.

It is thought he now walks with the aid of a walking stick.

Cheat has left viewers convinced of an untold connection between two lead characters Leah and Rose, but is it a family affair?

The latest episode of the ITV thriller drama saw university lecturer Leah (Katherine Kelly) continue to be stalked by her student Rose (Molly Windsor), who after being accused of plagiarism, has committed a number of disturbing acts against her, including bumping off her cat.

Things took a stranger turn, however, when Rose whipped out a picture from a box in her bedroom of her dad standing beside Leah – alluding to some past connection between them.

A vital clue is the fact Leah’s dad had an affair, with many now left wondering whether Rose could be the by-product of the infidelity. Considering Rose’s mum committed suicide, it makes sense she’d perhaps want to seek revenge on the family.

This would mean the ‘cheat’ would be Leah’s dad, potentially binding these two women together against a past hardship.

So could Rose be Leah’s half-sister? Viewers are ready to close this case.

Interestingly, there’s a number of other possibilities. Some have speculated Rose might be Leah’s secret child she gave up for adoption, or Rose could have been the one who had an affair with Leah’s dad.

But will we ever find out why that disturbing front door opens outwards? Cheat has some explaining to do.

Jung Joon Young has been dropped by his agency after admitting to filming women in sex acts without their consent.

The singer and TV star was accused of sharing illegally recorded footage in a chatroom with other celebrities, including Big Bang star Seungri, earlier this week.

The 30-year-old admitted to the accusations and announced he was retiring from the entertainment industry.

Now, his agency MAKEUS Entertainment has officially dropped him, after issuing Jung Joon Young’s apology on his behalf.

Their statement read: ‘Hello, this is MAKEUS Entertainment. This is a statement regarding Jung Joon Young.

‘Last night, Jung Joon Young sent his statement of apology to the agency, and we relayed Jung Joon Young’s statement without any modifications.

‘With this incident, the agency has judged that we can no longer maintain our contract with Jung Joon Young. As a result, the agreement was made to terminate the contract as of March 13, 2019 with singer Jung Joon Young, who signed with our label Label M in January 2019.

‘However, we feel a deep sense of responsibility for this incident that occurred due to an artist of our agency, and we will fulfill our duties until the end so that Jung Joon Young can diligently cooperate with investigations and trials as he revealed in his letter of apology. We once again express our apologies for causing trouble due to an unfortunate situation.’

This comes as it was confirmed Jung Joon Young will be investigated as a suspect tomorrow, 14 March, for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, Etc. of Sexual Crimes by sharing secretly recorded footage of sexual acts.

The 2 Days and 1 Night star said in a statement: ‘I admit to all of my sins that have been reported. I have filmed women without consent and have distributed in social media chat rooms, and I’ve felt no guilt while doing so.

‘As a public figure, it was a very careless act worthy of criticism. I kneel on my knees and want to apology to the women in the videos who’ve faced the disgusting truth through this case and feel anger beyond disappointment and shock.’

He then announced he was leaving the programs he was currently on and would cease any current promotions.

‘I will not take time of reflection but will let go of everything as a public figure, and look back at my unethical, unlawful acts which are considered a crime for the rest of my life,’ his apology continued.

‘Out of all, I want to apologise to the women who were harmed by my acts, to those who went beyond disappointment and felt anger, and to those who made me a public figure and cared for me. I will properly participate in the investigation which is set to start on the morning of the 14th with all honesty. I will take all the punishment for my crime.’

Seungri has been booked for separate allegations; the Big Bang star is accused of providing escorts for foreign investors and VIP clients.

YG Entertainment have terminated Seungri’s exclusive contract ahead of him also being investigated on 14 March.

Next week’s video game reveal from Google looks like it’s going to be a game-changer, as industry veteran Jade Raymond comes aboard.

Google video teases video game annoucement as Jade Raymond joins as VP of games

Whatever Google is planning to announce next week it’s clearly not going to be something minor.

They’re due to make a presentation at GDC (Game Developers Conference) 2019 on Tuesday, 19 March and officially the video bellow is the only indication they’ve given of what it’s about.

The trailer explains nothing but features a number of common video game environments, including a sci-fi corridor, inside a castle, some sort of forest area, and a football dugout.

These don’t necessary relate to specific games but are more an indication that whatever Google’s doing it’s going to encompass all of gaming.

Earlier in the week a patent leaked showing Google’s plans for controller features, which raises the question of whether they intend to produce and sell a traditional console or not.

Considering their Project Stream experiment last year it’s widely assumed that the core of whatever they’re doing will be some kind of streaming service, but the details are currently unknown.

The one small detail we do have ahead of time is that veteran Ubisoft and EA producer Jade Raymond is involved, as she’s tweeted about being VP (vice president) of…. something at Google. Presumably whatever the name of their new video game department is.

Raymond helped establish the Assassin’s Creed franchise at Ubisoft, before founding and running Ubisoft Toronto, who worked on everything from Splinter Cell: Blacklist to Starlink: Battle For Atlas.

She left to take a similar role at EA, helping to found Motive Games and oversee Visceral Games, but left when EA shut down the studio and stopped development of their single-player Star Wars game.

Stranger Things’s Max has always had an air of mystery about her – but a new prequel release is set to finally reveal how she came to live in Hawkins, Indiana.

Ahead of the season three launch (which still seems like ages away and it’s hurting us), Netflix revealed the cover art for a new prequel novella with Max (Sadie Sink) as the leading lady.

The punk-inspired cover art is all kinds of bright pink neon and black-and-white cutaways, with the title Runaway Max giving us rock and roll vibes.

Runaway Max will see what happened to the character and her brother Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery) in their past that caused them to end up in the quiet suburban life of Hawkins.

Sadie Sink joined the cast as Max in season two, and quickly became a firm friend with the four leading kids, whose extra-terrestrial adventures and missions quickly make up a lot of the show’s plotlines.

Now, Max and Billy have well and truly found themselves a home – with Max even getting her first boyfriend in the form of Lucas (played by Caleb McLaughlin).

Ahead of the book announcement, 16-year-old Sadie had revealed what was in store for the gang in season three, and even teased her past could be explored.

Speaking to W Magazine, Sadie said: ‘Forget about sci-fi—it’s just about what’s going on with them and being teenagers in the summer, going to the mall, doing normal teenager stuff.

‘You really dive deep into who the characters are and their backstories this season, and then as the season goes on, it gets into the stranger things.’

Stranger Things season 3 returns to Netflix this July.

Ed Sheeran is currently building an empire on his £1.5million estate in Suffolk.

And even though he is being faced with a number of hurdles along the way, it seems the 28-year-old if keen to get his wife’s approval, as it’s claimed he’s just gone and named a pub after her.

While snatching up properties in what’s thought to be nicknamed ‘Sheeran-ville’, the singer has transformed a building into his very own pub, and rumour has it, he’s named the local The Lancaster Lock – after his wife’s full name Cherry Lancaster Seaborn.

While chatting to The Sun, and insider claimed neighbours can see the 15ft sign hanging over the pub’s door, and they say it looks ‘incredible.’

The source told the publication: ‘The pub looks incredible, it’s right in the middle of his estate. It’s every bloke’s dream and he’s obviously decided to get the missus on board by naming it after her.

‘The sign is massive, which came as a bit of a surprise, but everyone locally is pleased to have Ed here and he’s always been a perfect neighbour.’

But despite being happy to have the Shape of You hitmaker around, it seems Ed recently fell under fire with his neighbours after they accused his ‘wildlife pond’ of being used as a swimming pool.

The singer received retrospective planning permission from his local council for the pond after it was built last year.

However, that was on the condition that it should only be used for wildlife, rather than swimming or leisure.

Neighbour Andrew Cattee has now written to the council, arguing: ‘What was initially a wildlife pond has… become a recreational swimming pond, now with the addition of steps, handrail and jetty.’

He added: ‘I am a huge supporter of the creation of ecosystems, especially when it comes to ponds and wetlands.

‘What I would hate to see here is that this is taken one step too far and transformed into an area of development that is for no gain to the wildlife that lives there but only to add to the amusement of those that reside at the property.’

Tony Robinson also said: ‘I believe that the development of the site is more about creating an environment for a “wild lifestyle” rather than actual “wildlife”!’

And not only is Ed facing pool-gate, but fire engines were also called to the estate after a blaze broke out.

A fire service spokesman confirmed that three engines were sent down to the scene, saying: ‘Suffolk firefighters were called to a small building fire at 7.33am this morning.

They added: ‘Crews extinguished the fire quickly and then ventilated the area of heavy smoke. The incident was closed at 8.55am.’

It’s said one was hurt in the event, and no ambulances were required.

Naomi Campbell and Liam Payne are continuing to hide their rumoured romance in plain sight with both spotted attending the National Portrait Gallery gala in London last night – but managed to avoid being pictured together.

The pair joined a bevy of a-listers, including models Kate Moss, Alexa Chung and Jourdan Dunn, Victoria and David Beckham, British Vogue editor Edward Enninful and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, who hosted the annual fundraiser.

Liam, 24, rocked up to the swanky bash alone but mingled with the other celebrity guests while Naomi, 48, kept a low profile but shared a photo of her stunning Azzedine Alaia gown on Instagram. According to Naomi, it’s the last dress designed by Alaia, who died in November 2017.

It’s not the first time Liam and Naomi have attended the same event without being pictured together. Just last week, the rumoured couple were seen at the ABB FIA Formula E party in Hong Kong and were clearly in close proximity to each other judging by their social media snaps.

Those sneaky buggers.

The pair have been romantically linked since January when they were spotted in Ghana before enjoying a string of dates in London.

It was reported that Liam and Naomi would go public with their relationship at a Baftas after-party in February, but the supermodel allegedly wanted to keep their romance casual.

Olly Murs has admitted he slid into Elizabeth Hurley’s direct messages.

The unlikely couple began talking because Olly was keen to get Liz, 54, to star in a new music video but it sadly fell through.

‘We wanted to do a video with her – it was Elizabeth Hurley,’ said 34-year-old Olly.

‘We were trying to do a music video with Liz, so it wasn’t her sliding into my DMs – I had to slide into hers to say, “I’m a big fan, I want to do a music video”. We had this really cool idea,’ he said.

Speaking to Heat magazine, he added: ‘I’m not going to say what it was in case it happens – but we really wanted Liz Hurley.

‘That was quite cool. We had a good chat, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to make it work.’

The Voice coach is currently appearing on TV screens as alongside will.i.am, Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson as they compete to find the next big singing star, but he admitted he ended up in a backstage spat with J-Hud over contestants.

The two rival coaches have been sparring on the ITV series as the competition heats up, and the hitmaker admitted to Metro.co.uk and other press that this year, more than any other, the drama in the ITV studio has escalated backstage, particularly when it came down on to one singer.

‘I did get a little upset with this one here because he really gave it to me,’ Jennifer told us. ‘I think he’s my friend, right, and after this battle we had a fall out.

‘He took his shoe off, I took my shoe off and then I said to put your shoe back on and he still stole them from me. I’m still upset about it.’

She added: ‘I was like, “We are not friends anymore.” So it did get a little heated because I couldn’t believe you would go that low.’

‘I sold my soul,’ grinned Olly.

Microsoft has embraced Steam for the release of its Halo remaster compilation on PC, with Halo Reach also coming to Xbox One this year.

Microsoft has previously always tried to distance itself from Steam, at least in terms of their own first party games, so this new annoucement represents a major change of direction for them.

The Halo collection was originally released on Xbox One in late 2014 but was beset by technical issues that lasted for months and in some cases years.

No doubt Microsoft will be looking to avoid that this time, in part by releasing each game separately. Although the first to be launched is Halo Reach, which was not originally included in the remaster compilation (because Master Chief is only in it via an easily missed cameo).

There’s no specific timeline for the releases but after Reach is launched ‘later this year’ the games will be released in chronological order, so Halo: Combat Evolved followed by Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and finally Halo 4.

Each game will be available to buy individually, so you’ll be able to pick and choose if you’re only interested in some.

The ports are being developed by British studios Splash Damage (Gears Of War 4 multiplayer) and Ruffian Games (Crackdown 2), with 343 Industries overseeing everything.

Microsoft has stopped short of calling the games remakes but insist they’re rebuilt from the ground-up for PC, including new mouse and keyboard controls, custom key-bindings, and a suite of graphical options.

Reach will also be made available for the Xbox One, where it’ll run at 60fps in 4K/HDR on Xbox One X, but only as paid-for DLC.

Xbox One owners will get access to Reach’s multiplayer, including Forge and the Theater, for free but unless you have Game Pass you’ll have to pay for the story campaign and Firefight.

Netflix has announced they’re ‘doubling down’ on interactive storytelling following the success of Black Mirror movie Bandersnatch.

The spin-off movie saw viewers control decisions made by lead character and wannabe game programmer Stefan (Fionn Whitehead), leaving everyone hunting for the plethora of hidden endings as you navigate through the narrative paths.

Coupled with the critically-praised Black Mirror brand, the movie became a big success – and it seems Netflix is making strides to pursuing the medium further.

Speaking about Bandersnatch at a keynote presentation in Mumbai (via Variety), Netflix product VP Todd Yellin, said: ‘It’s a huge hit here in India, it’s a huge hit around the world, and we realized, wow, interactive storytelling is something we want to bet more on.

‘We’re doubling down on that. So expect over the next year or two to see more interactive storytelling.’

The kind of interactive stories they’re planning, however, might not fit into the same sci-fi dystopian bubble, with the streaming giant looking to explore other genres.

‘It won’t necessarily be science fiction,’ Yellin said. ‘Or it won’t necessarily be dark. It could be a wacky comedy. It could be a romance, where the audience gets to choose, should she go out with him or him.’

There’s a lot of room to improve when it comes to interactive storytelling. While it’s hard to argue Bandersnatch isn’t technically excellent, the story itself was far from the show’s finest – so it seems like the perfect stepping stone for future, better iterations on the platform.

The fifth season of Black Mirror, which doesn’t include Bandersnatch, is set to be released this year.

Kylie Jenner’s friendship with Jordyn Woods may be up in the air, but it seems blood is thicker than water.

The 21-year-old had some sisterly bonding time with big sis Khloe Kardashian, as well as Kim and Kourtney, after the 34-year-old’s boyfriend Tristan Thompson cheated with Kylie’s BFF Jordyn.

The Kardashian girls, minus Kendall, headed out for meal at celebrity favourite Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica.

And, proving they’re just like the rest of us, they cosied up in the loos for a selfie in the bathroom mirror.

Wearing head to toe designer garb, but whatever.

Kourtney, 39, shared a picture from the toilets of the Italian hotspot, and everybody seemed to be wearing rather restrictive outfits for a night feasting on pasta.

The mum-of-three wore a daring floor-length dress that appeared to have no top, with a leather jacket providing coverage.

Khloe – fresh from working a nude mesh catsuit in Las Vegas – rocked a skintight snake print midi dress, while Kim, 38, also sported animal print with her wrap skirt, featuring a very high thigh slit.

Meanwhile, Kylie sported a ruched strapless dress, and made sure to update her own Instagram feed with pictures of her look.

The mum-of-one even squatted down in her heels (no mean feat) to give a back view of the frock.

Kylie has been out on a number of nights out with her sisters in the wake of the Jordyn/Tristan drama, but has yet to be pictured with her best friend.

Jordyn – who claims to have been kissed by Tristan at a party, and denies sleeping with the basketball star – has moved out of Kylie’s mansion and back in with her mum amidst the scandal.

However, it is said that Kylie doesn’t know what to do with herself.

A source told Radar Online: ‘They haven’t seen each other but to think they haven’t been in communication with each other is kinda crazy. Their lives were practically one for many years.

‘Kylie cannot function without Jordyn, literally. She cannot go her entire life without her. Jordyn got honest about it and Kylie can see her side.’

It is believed the two stars, who have been besties since 2013, are working on their friendship, though, after Khloe conceded that the demise of her relationship should be blamed on Tristan, not Jordyn.

Fresh reports have surfaced claiming Jussie Smollett’s Empire character could be recast or even killed off.

With Jussie facing 16 Class 4 Felony charges for disorderly conduct for filing a false report, his return to the FOX show is up in the air.

Jussie’s character Jamal was written out of the final two episodes of the season in the wake of his arrest for falsifying a police report. And now Empire bosses are said to thinking about their next steps.

Variety reports that ‘many options are on the table’, and it is ‘possible the character could be killed off or the role could be recast’.

Meanwhile Jamal’s part in the remainder of season five is ‘being downplayed’ despite Jamal having a major storyline.

The actor claimed in January that he was the victim of an assault in Chicago with two men allegedly beating him and shouting racist and homophobic slurs.

On Tuesday the 36-year-old attended a court hearing he didn’t need to be present for, walking into the Cook County Courthouse with his team.

According to TMZ the hearing was for his attorney, Mark Geragos, to file the paperwork so he can represent the actor and his case in Illinois.

While each charge doesn’t potentially mean additional time in prison, each one does carry a maximum probation sentence of four years.

He’s now potentially facing a maximum of three years in prison, a $25,000 fine and 60 years probation.

Jussie has played Jamal Lyon, the middle child of Cookie and Lucious Lyon, on Empire since 2015.

Smollett has previously released his own statement of apology to his Empire co-stars, including Taraji P. Henson and Terence Howard, for ‘putting them through this’ but maintains his innocence.

Netflix has given a rare insight into what they look for in a successful show, and give some sage advice about why they cancel the series they do.

Cindy Holland, Original Content VP for the service, is the one of the main big wigs in charge of how long titles have to live on Netflix before they cut their losses and give it the axe.

Last year alone, surprise sleeper hits like Everything Sucks were given their marching orders, while the far-less well-received Haters Back Off and Friends From College have also been given the axe after their second seasons.

Speaking at the International Television Conference INTV in Jerusalem, Cindy explained that there’s an all-important 28-day window after the show’s release that often determines their fate.

‘Humans are making the decisions about what we choose to invest in, (but) we’re aided by the info we have and we’d be foolish not to use it,’ she told the conference (via Hollywood Reporter).

‘When we are trying to make a decision about a specific title, we can size up what the audience size might be and how much to invest. But the key, like in any other creative endeavour, is — is this a great idea? Could this go for multiple years? Do we believe in the ability of the creative team to deliver?’

Apparently, despite certain investments in strong casts and plans, things just don’t work out sometimes.

So as a result, bye bye American Vandal, Lady Dynamite, Disjointed, Seven Seconds and The Good Cop.

…Then of course there’s the whole Marvel cull, but that could be more to do with Disney’s plans to launch a rival site.

Cindy said: ‘If you order a lot of shows, then there are going to be a few that get cancelled.

‘We have projection models that help us to assess the size of the audience that we think will show up, and if they don’t, we have to consider the point of continuing to invest in something that isn’t performing.’

‘We are trying to stretch our investment dollars as far as we can to maximise the money our members give us each month,’ she added.

New Bachelorette Hannah Brown was not wasting any time as she gave out her first rose during the final of The Bachelor.

Just minutes after being introduced Hannah set her sights on contestant Cam who impressed her with his attempt at a musical introduction.

In the finale Hannah was introduced to the five men who will be trying to woo her in the franchise’s next season.

After casting her eyes over her suitors, the 24-year-old told host Chris Harrison: ‘They’re cool. I’m liking what I’m seeing!’

Chris then revealed that a rose ceremony would take place in the live finale for the first time ever.

Contestant Cam bowled her over by performing a rap on stage, and he made one hell of an impression as she handed him her first rose.

Having met all five of them for the first time, Hannah told them: ‘Thank y’all so much for coming out here tonight. Y’all are so brave and I can’t wait to see you all again.

‘This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve made this season, but you all were great.’

She continued: ‘To those of you who don’t get this rose, I cant wait to see you all back at the mansion and try harder. In all seriousness, y’all are great. … I don’t know what I’m doing.’

Giving the rose to Cam, Hannah told him: ‘How you pumped up the jams, that was awesome.’

However she forgot to ask if he would accept, so she asked him again and of course his answer was yes.

Hannah told Chris that she was ‘really grateful for the opportunity’ to become the Bachelorette.

The Bachelorette starts 13 May on ABC in the US.

Dwayne Johnson has shared a poem to hint at the changes coming for the Jumanji sequel.

Dwayne, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan are all returning to the game for a sequel, with 39-year-old actor and comedian Kevin revealing the news in October.

‘We start shooting at the end of January. We almost made a billion dollars with the first one, so to have the opportunity to repeat that same level of success is beyond exciting,’ he told Variety.

The whole shebang was a sequel to late, great Robin Williams 1995 epic with this trip’s director Jake Kasdan admitting it’s a challenge to make sure they take the story somewhere special.

He previously said: ‘Part of the challenge of figuring out how [the emotional centre of the film] continues is to keep that alive in ways that feel earned … like a true kind of continuation in this story.’

Kasdan will also return to direct, while Awkwafina, Danny DeVito, and Danny Glover join the cast in new roles.

Vikings star Katheryn Winnick is definitely plotting something big, as she has just gone and teased fans with a ‘secret project.’

The actress come director had her followers guessing this week, as she took to her Instagram story with the news.

While sitting in the back of a car, the 41-year-old filmed a boomerang of herself looking up to the camera with a cat filter over her face.

In the caption, she wrote: ‘Oooh the nerves, wish me luck…’ followed by the hashtag ‘secretproject’ and the ‘fingers crossed’ emoji.

Whether or not the project is to do with Vikings is unknown, but after the show’s creator Michael Hirst teased a spin-off, we can’t help but hope that he’s got Katheryn involved.

Chatting to Variety earlier this year, the director spoke about bringing the main show to an end, before giving fans a sneak peek into his next project.

He told the publication: ‘I always knew where I wanted the show to go and more or less where it would end if I was given the opportunity.

‘What I was trying to do was write the saga of Ragnar Lothbrok and his sons.’

He continued: ‘After six seasons and 89 episodes, that’s what I felt — finally — I’d done. We stopped shooting the final episode in November last year and I felt that I’d said all I needed to say about Ragnar and his sons.’

But despite taking the saga as far as he felt necessary, the 66-year-old revealed that a spin-off, or ‘continuation’ as he likes to call it, is definitely on its way.

‘Continuation means, that if we make it, it will be connected to my saga,’ Hirst explained. ‘It may not involve necessarily the same characters.’

‘I can’t go into more details than that, but for the fans of the show it will be a continued enjoyment of the Vikings experience.’

Despite wrapping up filming in December, Hirst has been in touch with Katheryn as he joined her at the WIN awards where she scooped best actress.

Sharing a picture of herself stood in between Michael and her co-star Georgia Hirst, the actress wrote: ‘What a night!

‘I couldn’t feel more blessed than to celebrate this Best Actress Award with my Vikings creator Michael Hirst and costar @geehirst.’

She later added: ‘Thank you to my amazing team for all the love and support!’

Katheryn’s character in the history saga has been a keen favourite of Michael’s, and we’re hoping the pair continue to work together in his upcoming spin-off series.

Until then, however, we have season six of Vikings to look forward to, which is expected to arrive on the History Channel later this year.

William H Macy cut a tense figure as he visited his wife, Felicity Huffman, at a federal building yesterday after she was arrested over her alleged involvement in a college admissions bribery case.

The Shameless actor, who has been married to Huffman for 22 years, was pictured arriving at the Edward B Roybal Federal building in Los Angeles on Tuesday, just hours after his wife was taken in custody by the FBI.

Huffman, 56, and actress Lori Loughlin are among the names of those who have been indicted and accused of paying bribes for their children to get into schools such as Yale, Stanford, Georgetown and USC.

Macy, 68, was seen going through security check-in at the building where Huffman was detained for questioning before being released on bail.

It’s believed Macy has not been indicted in relation to the investigation.

Less than a week before the arrest, Macy spoke to Us Weekly about his and Huffman’s involvement in their daughter’s pursuit of higher education – the couple are parents to Sophia, 18, and Georgia, 16.

The Fargo actor said: ‘My daughter, Sofia, the oldest, she’s in the tribe. She’s going to be an actor.

‘She goes to LACHSA, the arts high school here, and we’re doing the college tour, and she’s looking at theater schools. So yeah, we talk about it a lot.’

He also praised his wife and described Huffman as a ‘great mum’ and ‘kind of astounding,’ adding: ‘I’m the luckiest guy on the planet.’

TMZ earlier reported that Huffman, Macy and their two daughters were sleeping when the Desperate Housewives actress was arrested by FBI agents who reportedly ‘drew their weapons’.

It’s said that the married couple made a charitable donation of $15,000 (£11,000) which authorities believe helped their eldest daughter Sofia get into college.

ABC 11 Eyewitness News reports that recorded phone calls have been entered as evidence to suggest that the payment was related to the admissions scheme.

The investigation reportedly centres on a Californian man who is allegedly running a business which helps students get into their desired college by paying off exam administrators or sports coaches.

After posting bail, Huffman was released from custody but made to surrender her passport.

The TV star is expected to appear in a Boston court on 29 March.

Gearbox looks like it’s finally getting around to unveiling a new Borderlands game, as they tease new artwork via Twitter.

Predictions of a Borderlands 3 reveal have been a staple of every E3 preview for the last five or so years, but it looks like we won’t have to wait till June to finally found about the game.

The tweet below is pretty blatant, as not only does it share the same cel-shaded art style as the original games but the ‘Exit 3’ sign seems to make it even more obvious what it’s about.

Thursday, 28 March is the PAX East event in Boston, which Gearbox has used before to announce or demo new games.

It’s now seven years since the release of Borderlands 2, with only remasters and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – which was not developed by Gearbox – having come out in the intervening time.

Although there was also Borderlands 2 VR late last year, which was the first sign in a long time that the franchise isn’t dead.

There have been rumours and hints of a third game for a long time, with Gearbox confirming they were working on it back in 2016 and publisher Take-Two continually hinting about a major new game on the horizon.

Why there’s been such a delay is a mystery, but it may have something to do with the rise of Destiny and other shared world shooters which work along similar lines.

The Borderlands games were always relatively low budget so it would take a lot of money and effort to transform them into something that could compete with the likes of Anthem and The Division.

Whether that’s what Gearbox is planning to do remains to be seen, but hopefully all will be revealed by the end of the month.

Vikings are always in battle and form alliances in order to succeed in their tasks – but could the Bjorn and Ivar actually unite in the most unlikely twist yet for season six?

The preview clip of the upcoming final episodes have teased that the Scandanavian warriors are heading into battle in Russia, but one fan has noticed that the shields are a dead giveaway over who exactly will be doing the fighting.

‘We can see a couple of the Russian soldiers with familiar shields. When you skip to the shot of the beach battle, the same or very similar shields are surrounding Bjorn,’ the eagle-eyed fan wrote on Reddit. ‘Knowing that Ivar will be in Russia, he probably has the Russians attack Bjorn.’

Why can’t we all just get along, you guys?

It’s hardly surprising that their battle is not over as their fight for Kattegat ended season five with a bang, and it looks like they won’t stop until one of them is dead.

In the new pictures, Bjorn was seen bloody from war and surrounded by a pool of dead bodies – but is his biggest enemy one of them?

Obviously though, this is all speculation until the show comes back to our screens once more.

In the meantime, Alexander Ludwig, who plays Bjorn, has been living his best life back in the 21st century while filming Bad Boyz 4 Life with Martin Lawrence and Will Smith.

And because he knows we’re all snoops, he’s been keeping us well and truly up to date.

Plus Ivar actor Alex Høgh Andersen has turned his attention to helping others, and has been praised for teaming up with the Danish Red Cross Youth. 

Vikings returns later this year, with all previous episodes available on Amazon Prime Video.
