Andy Murray and Kim Sears enjoyed a date night at Cheltenham Festival (Picture: Backgrid)
Andy Murray and wife Kim Sears looked seriously loved-up as they enjoyed a rare date night at Cheltenham Festival.
The tennis champion, 31, and painter – who got married back in 2015 – only had eyes for each other as they took in the annual races from a box.
During their day out, the couple were spotted piling on the affection, sharing private laughs and jokes with each other, and even high-fiving to celebrate a possible win.

Side note: We would do a lot more than a high-five if we won a race, but anyway…
Kim, 31, looked seriously chic as she rocked a floral dress, coupled with a dusty pink blazer.
While her husband covered up against the cold in a long coat and grey trousers.

Their Cheltenham visit comes after Andy underwent hip surgery, in an attempt to prolong his tennis career.
Speaking during the Australian Open, he explained: ‘I’m not feeling good. Obviously been struggling for a long time and been in a lot of pain for probably about 20 months now.
‘I’ve pretty much done everything that I could to try and get my hip feeling better and it hasn’t helped loads.
‘I’m going to play. I can still play to a level, not a level I’m happy playing at. The pain is too much really, it’s not something I want to continue playing that way.
‘I tried everything I could to get it right, it hasn’t worked. My plan is kind of middle to end of December in my training block, I spoke to my team and told them I can’t keep doing it.
‘I need to have an end point because I’m just playing with no idea of when the pain will stop. Making that decision, I think I can get through to this at Wimbledon, that’s when I’d like to stop playing. I’m also not certain I’m able to do that.’
‘I underwent a hip resurfacing surgery in London yesterday morning…,’ he told his 1.6million followers.
‘Feeling a bit battered and bruised just now but hopefully that will be the end of my hip pain. I now have a metal hip.’
Thankfully, the athlete looks to be doing a lot better now.

The Simpsons’ Al Jean believes Michael Jackson used his cameo in the cartoon to ‘groom boys’ (Picture: Fox; Redferns/Getty)
The Simpsons showrunner Al Jean believes that Michael Jackson used his cameo appearance to ‘groom boys.’
The producer, who’s broken his silence following the decision to remove the King of Pop’s episode from streaming and syndication, reflected on the season three instalment, titled Stark Raving Dad, in the wake of Dan Reed’s controversial documentary Leaving Neverland airing.
‘What saddens me is, if you watch that documentary—which I did, and several of us here did—and you watch that episode, honestly, it looks like the episode was used by Michael Jackson for something other than what we’d intended it,’ Al told The Daily Beast.
‘It wasn’t just a comedy to him, it was something that was used as a tool. And I strongly believe that.
Michael Jackson’s cameo appearance aired back in 1991. (Picture: Fox)
‘That, to me, is my belief, and it’s why I think removing it is appropriate.
‘I lose a little bit of money financially, it’s not something that’s great personally to lose one of the most successful things I ever did, but I totally think it’s the right move.’
Michael voiced character Leon Kompowsky, who was an inpatient on a psychiatric ward claiming to be the King of Pop, back in the 1991 episode.
‘I think it was part of what he used to groom boys,’ Al added. ‘I really don’t know, and I should be very careful because this is not something I know personally, but as far as what I think, that’s what I think. And that makes me very, very sad.’
Al also confirmed that Michael had written the song his character and Bart sing to Lisa, which includes the line ‘and your first kiss from a boy.’ The Simpsons airs weekdays at 6pm on Channel 4.

James will leave co-hosts Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond behind for a travel show around Japan.
The show serves as the first of a collection from Amazon Prime with Clarkson and Hammond also going on solo adventures.
James will travel around the country exploring the numerous elements that make Japan so unique, heading from North to South over the course of the series as he discovers what drives their whole culture and what their approach to life can teach the rest of us.
May and his co-hosts have a history of somehow riling people up abroad with their…erm…unique take on other cultures. Here are the standout incidents.
India
When the trio were a part of Top Gear in 2011, the show sparked a complaint from the High commission of India in London about comments Jeremy made during an India special.
While driving a Jaguar in India that had a toilet roll on the aerial, Jeremy said: ‘This is perfect for India because everyone who comes here gets the trots.’
In a letter to the Telegraph, the High commission of India said: ‘India is a developing country, we have very many issues to address, all that is fine but it is not fine to broadcast this toilet humour.’
Ofcom received 157 complaints but the watchdog said that his remark was just part of the show’s ‘outspoken humour’.
Mexico
Earlier in 2011 the show offended Mexico’s ambassador in London after Hammond said a Mexican sports car resembled characteristics of the people. He said: ”Mexican cars are just going to be lazy, feckless, flatulent, overweight, leaning against a fence asleep looking at a cactus with a blanket with a hole in the middle on as a coat.’
May said in the episode that one of the sports cars was called ‘the tortilla’ before admitting that he couldn’t remember what the car was called.
Hammond and May also referred to Mexican food as ‘refried sick’ and ‘sick with cheese on it’.
Demanding an apology from the BBC, the ambassador said: ‘These offensive, xenophobic and humiliating remarks only serve to reinforce negative stereotypes and perpetuate prejudice against Mexico and its people.’
Burma
In the 2014 Burma special, Clarkson came under fire for a remark while watching an Asian man crossing the bridge over the River Kwai in Thailand.
Looking at the bridge with Richard as the man walked across he said: ‘There’s a slope on it’. Richard replied: ‘You’re right. It’s definitely higher on that side.’
The word ‘slope’ is a derogatory term used to refer to Asian people.
The show’s executive producer Andy Wilman later apologised for ‘any offence caused’ by the comment.
Argentina
The Top Gear team landed in hot water over a licence plate in Argentina (Picture: PA)
The cast and crew of Top Gear were forced to abandon filming in South America after accusations that a licence plate on a car driven by Clarkson was a reference to the Falklands War.
Locals protested against the plate which read H982FKL, thought to be a reference to the war and the year it began.
The team traveled back to the UK three days early after local authorities denied them permission to film.
Wilman said at the time that claims the plate had been deliberately chosen were ‘completely untrue’.

Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez give us all the feels at Prince’s Trust Awards (Picture: REX / WENN)
Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez have given us all the feels when appearing on The Prince’s Trust Awards red carpet.
The couple looked every ounce loved up as they giggled away to each other while posing for pictures.
Looking at his pregnant girlfriend, the Strictly pro tried to make her laugh as he pulled faces in her direction.
And his attempts worked, as the 34-year-old couldn’t help but laugh back as she beamed at her man.
Dressed to the nines, Gemma proudly showed off her blossoming baby bump as she clung onto Gorka’s side.
The pair announced their pregnancy back in February this year where they uploaded a picture of themselves onto Instagram.

Sitting next to their pet dogs, the soon-to-be parents had placed signs in front of their puppas, which read: ‘Guess what… Mum’s pregnant!’ and ‘we’re going to be big brothers! ‘
Gemma wrote alongside the picture: ‘And what Amazing big brothers they will be!
‘Myself & Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year.’
She added: ‘Baby Marquez!!! We love you loads already @gorkamarquez1.’

The star has joked about trying to find her ‘abs’ in a recent picture (Picture: Gemma Atkinson/Instagram)
Since then the former Hollyoaks actress debuted her growing tummy on the red carpet of The Brit Awards.
While standing close to his girl, the 28-year-old was overheard telling press on the night: ‘There she is, love of my life.’
The star has even joked about trying to find her ‘abs’ in a recent picture, where she could be seen cradling her belly as it poked out from under her denim shirt.
Writing in the caption, she revealed just how much she couldn’t wait to meet the little one – and our hearts were well and truly melted.
She joked: ‘Ab check?’ before adding: ‘Can’t wait to meet you mini Marquez.’
Gemma and Gorka met at the launch party of Strictly in 2017, and following a tipsy pizza date after the bash, started a relationship as they competed on the show.

A 19-year-old Russian girl talked about her anxieties about sleeping with 20 men on Porn Laid Bare (Picture: BBC)
New BBC Three documentary Porn Laid Bare sees six Brits forced to watch a 19-year-old porn star have sex with 20 men.
The three-part series, which becomes available to stream on Thursday, details the dark side of human trafficking, drug use and violence within the adult film industry and left the spectators in shock when they visited an orgy set.
As the group arrive in Spain, they bare witness to a young Russian girl discussing her nervousness about having sex with 20 men – having believed it was going to be half that number.
The girl chats with Brits Neelam Tailor, Ryan Scarborough, Anna Adams and Cameron Dale in a red eye mask, telling them that all the participants will be pocketing just over £2,500 for the work.
The men covered their faces with masks (Picture: BBC)
Like the unidentified woman, the men also wear masks to conceal their faces.
Upset by the scenes, Anna tells the cameras: ‘I’m really concerned for her safety.
Anna got visibly upset over the situation and was concerned for the teen’s safety (Picture: BBC)
‘I feel scared for us to leave because I don’t know what’s going to happen when we are not there.’
Meanwhile, Ryan tells a visibly upset Cameron: ‘It is the worst thing I’ve ever seen.
‘It just doesn’t look fun. After a week, how do you know how comfortable you feel sleeping with this amount of men? It’s not the environment for a 19-year-old.’
‘Three of the group come face to the face with one of Spain’s most notorious producers, Torbe, also know as ‘The King of Spanish Porn’ who in renowned for filming group sex scenes,’ teases the episode one synopsis.
‘They witness a gang bang shoot with a young woman who is new to the industry, raising concerns about the vulnerability of young women in Spain’s porn industry.’
Porn Laid Bare is expected to land on BBC Three on Thursday.

Brit Marling plays Prairie Johnson in The OA (Picture: Netflix)
The OA’s long-awaited second season is set to arrive this month, setting the task of reacquainting ourselves with movements, NDE’s and dimension-hopping once again.
Released back in December 2016, Netflix’s genre-bending sci-fi series starring and co-created by Brit Marling is one of the most unique shows in recent memory – following a young woman named Prairie Johnson who reappears after being missing for seven years.
What starts out as a simple mystery, however, balloons into a spiritual journey of belief involving torturous kidnapping with self-proclaimed angels. It wasn’t for everyone, but it was certainly memorable for those who persisted through the occasional indulgence.
But after the finale saw Prairie bundled into an ambulance after a shooter descended upon the school, there’s a number of questions surrounding the next season. Need a refresher? Here’s the biggest prevailing theories and discussion points for season two.
Did Prairie make up her story?
Towards the end of season one, French heads into Prairie’s house and discovers a cardboard box full of books relating to angels, Homer the Greek poet, and Russian oligarchs – leading him and the rest of the locals enraptured by her story to believe she had fabricated the entire thing.
Considering the trailer for season two sees Prairie seemingly jump through dimensions, however, signs points towards her powers being genuine – but will the locals ever listen to her again?
Who was the mysterious shooter at school?
The OA came to a controversial end (Picture: Netflix)
Through clever editing, it’s still unclear who exactly turned up at the school with a rifle – sparking theories of who the mysterious individual could be.
On closer inspection, fans have pinned the individual in question as having blonde hair, leading some to believe it could be Steve from another dimension. Or Hap from another dimension seeking vengeance on Prairie.
A more logical straight-forward answer is that it could be Miles who was punched by Steve in the throat earlier in the season. This, however, feels a bit basic for a show steeped in dimension-travel.
Or could it be connected to Prairie’s FBI therapist Elias? Some believe his presence is involved in a cover-up of Hap’s experiments, having found himself in suspicious places at suspicious moments.
Speaking of which, did Elias plant the books in Prairie’s house?
Elias is Prairie’s therapist (Picture: Netflix)
As French discovered the books and retreated downstairs, Elias is bizarrely in the house too. His presence is oddly timed, and isn’t exactly explained.
One theory reckons he might have planted the books in order to make the locals believe Prairie was mentally unstable, and is somehow part of a cover-up of Hap’s experiments.
It certainly seems plausible. Elias is a character who is relatively unexplained in his motives, so he’s surely set to hold some big answers.
Is French actually Homer?
Why did French see Homer? (Picture: Netflix)
While French is inside Prairie’s house, a brief moment sees him look into a mirror where he sees Homer’s face staring back at him. This has led some to believe there’s a connection between the two, or that Homer could have jumped dimension and become French.
It’s a relatively loose theory, but Brit Marling has stated how everything in the show is planted for a reason. Interestingly, like French, Homer is also initially very sceptical of Prairie’s powers – so could there be some connection between their two paths?
Is this all taking place inside Prairie’s head?
Is Prairie simply trapped inside her head? (Picture: Netflix)
While there’s doubts over whether Prairie’s story is genuine or not, some theorists believe the entire story of Hap’s experiments is actually a living representation of her subconscious mind.
Scott is claimed to represent her pragmatism, while Homer is optimistic support. It’s a far out there theory, but The OA feels like a show where almost anything is a possibility.
Drake caught a fan’s bra on stage, carried on performing like a pro (Picture: Deadline News)
Drake managed to catch a fan’s bra on stage during his recent tour show, while not missing a beat of his song – proving he’s a multitasking pro.
The God’s Plan rapper was performing in Manchester when a very impressed fan decided to strip off and throw her bra at him.
Basically shooting her shot, and why not?
And Drizzy managed to catch the underwear, give it a quick once-over and didn’t miss a beat of In My Feelings, all in front of 20,000 fans.
Seriously, someone give that man an award.
The fan in question, Tal Brea, shared the clip of the moment on her social media pages, telling followers: ‘HOW DID @Drake CATCH MY BRA LIKE THAT I CANT.’
But, unfortunately, she revealed she didn’t actually get it back, as he ‘threw it on the other side of the arena’.
Which is less than ideal…
Drake kicked off his mammoth Assassination Vacation Tour in Manchester on Sunday, and has been smashing it ever since.
Drake proved he’s a multi-tasking pro (Picture: Deadline News)
And, following the success of his stage show – and new album Scorpion – the 32-year-old is now set for a very brief Las Vegas residency.
But, don’t be expecting him to follow on in Britney Spears’ footsteps with a show-stopping performance, as he’ll be rapping to an intimate crowd of around 8,000.
‘We’re going to completely remove the DJ booth,’ Wynn’s Vice President Alex Cordova told Rolling Stone about upcoming shows.
‘Our artists perform in the round, so essentially, where the exterior and the interior space meets in the centre, that’s where the stage is going to be.
‘So Drake is going to be able to perform for the intimate crowd of 1,800 [on one side] and also to [a crowd of around 3,000] on the other side.’
Anyone else booking a flight to Vegas immediately?

Stuntman Adam Behan has worked on Viking and Game Of Thrones (Picture: Adam Behan)
Vikings stuntman Adam Behan has spoken about being set on fire during risky stunts.
Behan is the stunt double for Harald (Peter Franzen) and Bishop Heahmund (Johnathan Rhys Meyers) on the hit History Channel show.
While he is surely well used to doing dangerous things for an epic shot, it isn’t without its risks, with fire and horses being the most hazardous elements from the show.
Adam told Metro.co.uk: ‘Naturally every stunt has its inherent dangers – high falls, fire burns, horse work, or detailed fight choreography – even “simple” stuff like coaching an actor for a fall to the floor has risk.
‘Making sure correct techniques are used and providing necessary protection is a big part of our job.
‘As for the “most risky” stunts that I’ve performed, fire burns or horse work come to mind. I can’t really decide between these two.
‘Fire work is dangerous for obvious reasons, but horses are so sensitive and at the end of the day have a mind of their own. We really need to be on our A-game when working with them.
‘The guys around me are so highly experienced and skilled though, so I have nothing but absolute confidence before going on fire or when working with horses together.
‘Safety is paramount and first on everyone’s agenda, we all want to go home the way we came into work.’

Vikings is ending after season six, and Adam, who has been involved with the show since season five, is looking forward to being back, even if it is for the last time.
Adam told us: ‘Vikings was such a great production to work on, I’m going to miss it a lot.
‘I genuinely feel so grateful to have met so many amazingly talented people along my way, some of them are friends for life.
‘Over the seasons we worked so closely as a unit that by the end we genuinely felt like a family.
‘It’s definitely the people I’ll miss the most. I was on the show on a full time capacity from the start of season five when I started doubling as Bishop Heahmund. I’m super excited to see season six.’
Adam was a stunt double for Peter Franzen and Johnathan Rhys Meyers on Vikings (Picture: Adam Behan)
Behan had high praise for Franzen, who took his role so seriously that the stunt crew had to ask him to ‘tone it down’ in rehearsals.
‘What a dude!’ Adam laughed.
‘Peter is an absolute gentleman and I’m sure anyone who has worked with him will say the same.
‘What a professional he is, always showing up for rehearsals with the same attitude – ready!
‘Peter worked hard in fight rehearsals and was extremely receptive to instruction, constantly trying to out-perform his previous fight.
‘He’s a very fit man so working together in rehearsals was always great fun, lots of sweat, shouting and laughter filled our rehearsal space for those hours with Mr. Franzen, sometimes we’d even have to ask him to take it down a notch or two.
‘Once a sword was put in his hands, you were no longer looking at Peter Franzen, you were looking at Harold!’
Adam had a blast working with Peter Franzen, who plays Harald on the show (Picture: History Channel)
That’s not only the only hit sword-slinging show Adam is a part of, as he has also worked on Game Of Thrones, including season eight which will include some intense and grueling battle scenes.
‘Adjusting the body clock to the night shoots I found to be quite difficult, I hadn’t done back to back nights like that before. Other than that it was a fantastic experience!’ he said.
But when we pressed him on what fans can expect from the show’s final season, Adam was keeping it zipped.
‘The fans will need wait and see to find out, but it’s a whole load of awesome. They certainly won’t be disappointed.’
Vikings returns later this year on History Channel while Game Of Thrones starts on 14 April on Sky Atlantic

So we’re finally going to hear about Borderlands 3, eh? I hope it’s going to be worth the wait and to be honest I have a pretty good feeling about it. I think they know the dangers of not going all out after all this time so I can’t imagine it’ll just be an identikit sequel.
I hadn’t really made the Destiny connection before but I guess the two are quite similar, and that it makes sense for Borderlands to go proper open world and emphasise the co-op and everything. I just hope they don’t dial down the humour and the story because I thought that was really good before, better than anything Destiny has ever done.
Because it had a sense of humour they can probably joke a bit about loot boxes as well, while also getting away with using them. If The Division is all super serious then this could be the perfect time for Borderlands to offer an alternative. Venger
Resetting Sonic
Just been reading some rumours (no real proof, could easily be made up) that Sega are thinking of doing a Sonic Adventure remake. Could be a decent idea if true, allow them to reset the 3D games as it were and maybe move on to a proper Sonic Adventure 3 that’s, you know, actually a good game.
I have very fond memories of playing Sonic Adventure 1 in my youth but even then I think I secretly knew it wasn’t very good. And going back to it now? It’s pretty awful. Horrible camera, lousy controls, and random gameplay.
The idea of a 3D Sonic should be possible, and you could argue that not many games got as close as Sonic Adventure, but it’s still a risk to put it on any kind of pedestal. Howard
American console
So I guess Google really is cooking up something major for next week. I still don’t see how it can be streaming only because I don’t think broadband is up to it in America. Because if there’s one thing that teaser trailer makes clear is that this is a thing aimed purely at Americans.
With an annoucement in the middle of the night in San Francisco, where the date is advertised as 3/19/19 already says it all. Maybe it’s a technical thing but it already sounds like the sort of mistake Microsoft made where they thought they’d start by dominating America and then move out, but never really did either.
What I assume is going on is that it’ll be a console with optional streaming abilities and they’ll have a bunch of in-house games and exclusives to promote. That is interesting, don’t get me wrong, but I hope that they’re games that show why there needs to be a new console and not just clones of already popular ones. Pinky
If the future of gaming is going to be streaming to devices, it should lead to the end of the console unveil and launch day which makes me sad. One of the best things about being a fan of games is the hype, speculation and eventual unveiling of a new console, seeing what it looks like and what it can do compared to the previous one.
Then there is all the anticipation and excitement leading up to launch day. I don’t normally buy on launch day but some of my fondest childhood memories, and even adult memories, were opening a new console on Christmas Day. Sadly, a streaming future looks like this might not be the case.
I say all this as I anticipate that we will just need one box and then we will be set until it breaks, possibly only upgrading to a 4K version. Or that games will be streamed to our tablets, phones, and even our TV set. Angry_Kurt (Twitter)
Natural rivals
Going to be very interesting to see Microsoft going up against Google as I’m sure those two see themselves as the closest rivals. Especially as I bet they both have similar ideas about what to do in the next gen.
In theory Microsoft should be able to wipe the floor with them, but their lack of investment in first party games could really cost them. No wonder they want to hold everything back and not release it for the Xbox One though, they’re going to need to come out gun blazing to stay relevant with so much competition.
Funnily enough I think Nintendo might be the only that’s large immune to the new companies joining the party as all their stuff is so different anyway they’re not really competing directly. Might be why Microsoft wants to get them on board, if that’s still happening. Shemp
Ranged combat evolved
I see Microsoft are really trying to turn up the hype on Halo, obviously getting ready for Halo Infinite. As others have said though I really don’t know how that’s going to go. I haven’t played it recently but just the whole franchise seems old-fashioned to me now to think of.
Given it’s a first person shooter, which isn’t exactly the most versatile of genres, I don’t know how you turn it around and actually do something different. Open world is a good guess but the trick is going to make sure the action is still tight enough and not just shooting aliens from miles away with a sniper gun. Deuce
Obvious choice
All these medieval themed anime on Netflix and yet not a sign of Dark Souls or Bloodborne? Is it me or does that not seem the most obvious and actually desirable option? Whether it’s goor or not I don’t think anyone has been sitting around making up Dragon’s Dogma fanfic and trying to piece together the narrative. But that’s what half the fun is with From games!
Sure, you don’t want to give anything away by spelling things out but there’s no need to do that at all. If they did Bloodborne as well it could end up being the best Lovecraft adaptation as a side bonus. I can’t imagine From are any more difficult or expensive to work with than Konami or Capcom either. 84Cobalt
So the guy who invented PUBG is just ditching it and leaving, just like the guy that invented DayZ (and the guy that took over from him)? I never was a great fan of early access and now it just seems to have become accepted practice that there’s no guarantee any of these games will ever be finished. If even one as big as PUBG can’t do it then what does that say about everything else that’s smaller?
Actually, didn’t the DayZ guy also say he was going to go off and experiment with new ideas, basically exactly what Brendan Greene is saying right now. Nobody likes publishers like EA calling all the shots but sometimes you do see the difference having a more professional, organised company makes in terms of the end product and just making good on promises. Although given Anthem maybe EA aren’t the best example there…
I wish Brendan well in whatever he does next, because I have played PUBG in the past and enjoyed it, but whatever he works on next I hope he actually finishes it before he releases it. And then maybe he won’t have to have an embarrassing campaign like Fix PUBG. Pr0meth@us

I’d never heard of Phoenix Point until but that trailer looked great and very much like XCOM. Great to know that at least one old Speccy developer is still going, making games similar to when he started out! Eloz
I got a second-hand copy of Spider-Man: Homecoming recently and it had two Digital Ultraviolet download codes for the film. So I guess it’s a bit of a lottery as one or both of them might have already been used. Dominic

The Bachelor UK’s Alex Marks and Charlotte T kiss a lot in Wednesday’s episode (Picture: Channel 5)
The Bachelor UK continues tonight with our lothario Alex Marks going down to Charlotte T’s hometown to meet her family, yep despite only meeting a little over a week ago.
The pair caused major controversy during Tuesday’s episode after the Worthing native not only managed to bag a solo date which saw them kiss multiple times, but the smooches don’t stop there.
In a teaser clip, music coach Charlotte went the extra mile to make sure Alex’s trip was extra special and serenaded him with her impressive operatic voice in an empty theatre.
‘Walking into the theatre and hearing Charlotte’s voice blew my mind,’ Alex admitted. ‘I’ve never had a performance like that for me in my entire life. The romantic tension, you could cut it with a knife.
Alex and Charlotte T shared a snog at the end of the night as well (Picture: Channel 5)
‘I’m just mesmerised by her voice.’
And proving how obsessed he is with her pipes, Alex snogged the living daylights out of her.
However things took a tense turn when Charlotte introduced Alex to her mum Mila, dad Big Dave and brother Justin, who relentlessly hammered him with difficult question after difficult question.
Alex was thrown into the hot seat and quizzed on some of life’s biggest questions like the ‘three most important things in a relationship.’ Eek.
But this was all a walk in the park for Alex, who managed to impress them all so much that Mila told the cameras: ‘Alex, I think is a very nice man.
‘All the qualities that I’m looking for, he’s got it all ticked.’
At the end of the night Alex told Charlotte just how much he’d enjoyed himself, and guess what? They kissed again.
The Bachelor continues tonight at 10pm on Channel 5.

‘Not gonna lie, I kind of love the new trailer for #Aladdin,’ one posted. ‘Life Genie looks better now in my opinion, the music, visuals, it’s just fantastic. After a whole new world kicks in, I got chills guys. LITERAL CHILLS. I can’t wait!’
With another impressed fan adding: ‘Will smith was perfect casting for genie. DO NOT @ ME. #Aladdin.’
Despite some stating they never had any doubt Will would be great in the role, the actor himself admitted he was terrified of it.
‘Whenever you’re doing things that are iconic, it’s always terrifying,’ he confessed.
‘The question is always: Where was there meat left on the bone? Robin didn’t leave a lot of meat on the bone with the character.’
Aladdin will be released in UK cinemas on 24 May.

Don’t like what Samuel L Jackson has to say? He couldn’t care less (Picture: Rex Features)
Samuel L Jackson believes Donald Trump is ruining the planet and he doesn’t care if you disagree.
The Captain Marvel actor has been vocal in his dislike of the US President but he isn’t fazed is he loses fans over his opinions on the current administration.
And did you expect anything different?
The 70-year-old actor previously stood up for his mate, director Spike Lee, after Trump accused him of ‘putting a hit’ out on him.
Adding to his thoughts he elaborated, and, Trump, should you happen to be reading this, you’re probably not going to like it. And if you don’t like swear words, you also might not like this. Just saying.
We imagine this is how he’d look at you if you told him you didn’t like what he had to say (Picture: Disney-Marvel Studios)
‘This motherfucker is like ruining the planet and all kinds of other crazy shit,’ he told Esquire magazine this week. ‘And the people think that’s okay. It’s not fucking okay. And if you’re not saying anything, then you’re complicit. And I wouldn’t give a fuck if I was a garbageman and I had a Twitter account; I’d tweet that shit out. I’m not thinking about who I am and what my job is when I do that shit.’
Asked whether he was worried about ‘antagonising’ his fans by speaking out against the prez in such a way, the Pulp Fiction legend couldn’t care less.
In the most badass Samuel L Jackson way, he added: ‘I know how many motherfuckers hate me. “I’m never going to see a Sam Jackson movie again.” Fuck I care? If you never went to another movie I did in my life, I’m not going to lose any money. I already cashed that check. Fuck you.
Samuel and Spike at the Oscars (Picture: Getty Images North America)
‘Burn up my videotapes. I don’t give a fuck. “You’re an actor. Stick to acting.” “No, motherfucker. I’m a human being that feels a certain way.” And some of this shit does affect me, because if we don’t have health care, shit, and my relatives get sick, they’re going to call my rich ass. I want them to have health care. I want them to be able to take care of themselves.
‘This is how I feel. And I count to one hundred some days before I hit “send,” because I know how that shit is.’
Well, damn, Samuel.
The actor had previously commented on Trump’s comments on Spike Lee, after the BlacKkKlansman director asked punters to ‘be on the right side of history’ and ‘do the right thing’ when it comes to the 2020 election.
Speaking to TMZ as he jumped on a plane following Spike’s Oscars acceptance speech, he reacted to questions about Trump’s comments by saying: ‘Come on, he’s too sensitive.’
Seemingly watching from his lounge and not picking up with Lee was putting down, Trump tweeted: ‘Be nice if Spike Lee could read his notes, or better yet not have to use notes at all, when doing his racist hit on your President, who has done more for African Americans (Criminal Justice Reform, Lowest Unemployment numbers in History, Tax Cuts, etc.) than almost any other Pres!’
Samuel reacted to Trump’s sentiment of ‘doing the most’ for African Americans by adding: ‘Yeah, he’s got the biggest plantation!’

Most Haunted’s Yvette Fielding is so afraid of ghosts she can’t watch her own episodes
Yvette Fielding may be known as the First Lady Of The Paranormal, however the legendary presenter is so terrified of ghosts she can’t watch her own TV show.
This makes her day job as host of Most Haunted an occupational hazard right?
Speaking about her nearly two decades investigating haunted spots around the world and being frazzled by angry spirits, Yvette can still vividly remember one night’s investigation where she was forced to retreat to her car and recite the Lord’s Prayer.
That’s pretty heavy.
The 50-year-old usually chills out by listening to the Mary Poppins soundtrack on the way home (nothing to ward off a poltergeist than a Spoonful Of Sugar, am I right?) but one night at a Leeds council estate needed something a little stronger.
‘Nobody had been able to live in the place since the 70s and people had complained about being pulled up the stairs backwards, being choked,’ she told Metro.co.uk. ‘As soon as you walked in you could hear the furniture being dragged upstairs, but no one was there. Then knives were thrown at us. Two members of the crew got burns on their arms.
‘I remember saying the Lord’s Prayer in the car. Then I put the Mary Poppins soundtrack on and was ready to go a week later.’
For someone who has made a massive career out of creating content that scares the bejeebus out of viewers, it’s slightly settling to learn the extent to which Yvette is freaked out of spirits herself.
Adding Standon Hall in Staffordshire was also particularly hair raising, she continued: ‘I was physically shaking with absolute fear and I had to walk out of both those locations and just take an hour to have a break from it. It was just too much.
‘You always question your sanity when you’re in places like that. Objects flying at you that if they hit you they would have hurt you or possibly killed you. You think this is nuts. A normal person would think, this is nonsense.
Yvette is known as the First Lady Of The Paranormal (Picture: LIVING TV)
‘How can you believe in something unless you see it with your own eyes? But I’ve seen it, so I know there are such things as ghosts, spirits, energy we cannot see that manifests itself in certain ways or manipulates objects. I’ve seen it all and I don’t want to think about it too much when I’m away because it would really screw me up.’
Filming for months has the presenter feeling strong towards the final cut – but once life for Yvette and her producer husband Karl Beattie returns to normal, she can’t even watch back episodes she’s lived for real.
‘There’s no way in hell, I still don’t, I’ll look at the social media and I can tell what’s happening in the show but I can’t watch it,’ she laughed. ‘Even though I do it, I can’t watch anything spooky because it’ll mess with my head.
‘I’m scared to death. We just started filming the new series and I’m jumpy as anything. The longer the series goes on I get really brave. We have a break and [I’ll hear] the slightest noise and I’m an absolute wreck; it’s pathetic.’
She’s had knives thrown at her and spirits come way too close for comfort, but Yvette has teamed up with Smart Energy GB because opening her electricity bill is something that keeps her up at night.
Working on its smart meter campaign, she said living in a ‘big old farmhouse’ has meant her bills were something to fear more than a demon with a penchant for throwing sharp objects.
Evidently to keep her mind off the rising cost of electricity (global warming, it’s a thing, people) she’s launched into the 24th season of the Really UK show and is still keen to show us that ghosts are a very real thing.
Believe it or not, Yvette is not giving up the good fight to open our eyes to the other side we cannpt see.
‘You can’t see the internet but we know it’s there,’ she said, comparing ghosts to technology.
‘I’ve seen it and it’s amazing; there is life after death and we will see our loved ones again. I’m not religious, but I definitely now there is a God and I know it sounds silly but I can’t wait to see my dad again.
‘It’s made my life happier knowing that.’

And the model appeared to ignore the controversy as she headed out with boyfriend Gabriel Glenn, earlier this week.
The 20-year-old was all smiles on the outing, in West Hollywood, popping to Bush’s concert at The Roxy.
She opted for casual look for the gig, donning a tie-dye t-shirt, coupled with khaki trousers and trainers.

Paris’ day out comes after she urged fans to take a backseat from social media, and put their phones down a little more.
In a post shared on her social media…
Taking to Twitter, she told her 1.32million followers: ‘They say phones are a distraction and while I agree, I feel like social media and the news are way more depressing than life.
‘Turn that shit off, you’ll smile more.’
Michael Jackson has been met with claims he sexually abused Wade and James (Picture: AFP)
Aaron Carter was dragged into the controversy (Picture: Rex)
Just before her uplifting post, she shot Aaron Carter a love heart emoji after he defended Michael Jackson amid sexual abuse claims discussed by Wade and James in HBO’s Leaving Neverland.
In a chat with TMZ, Aaron later vowed he had the ‘time of his life’ when he spent time with the Thriller singer at his Neverland ranch as a child.

‘Neverland was incredible. I had the time of my life with Michael. I was about 15 years old, I had the time of my life,’ he said.
‘Wade, I’m very disappointed in you because I don’t understand why he’s trying to tie my name into this shit.
‘If you come at me with this shit – you’re lucky I’ve got something to lose now – because I would punch you in the face.’
.
Aaron confirmed that he stayed at Michael’s house, and in his bedroom, at the Neverland ranch when he was a teenager but denies that Michael did anything other than give him career guidance and support.
He also revealed he couldn’t ‘understand’ the accusations against the late star, as his own experience was ‘beautiful, gentle and loving’.

After casually having a baby with his long-term girlfriend, performer Tinie Tempah decided the National Prince’s Trust Awards was the best time to bring out the little one.
And didn’t he look ruddy chuffed.
The rapper and fashion designer quietly welcomed a baby (well, we can bet there was anything but quiet when it came to the actual welcoming, but that’s neither here nor there) late last year, after keeping the whole palaver under the radar.
Tinie was all smiles (Picture: BACKGRID)
In fact, the only hint he’d become a father came in a now-deleted Instagram post on Christmas Day, which showed off a rare snap of his baby girl.
Seemingly wanting to shield the world for a little longer, Wednesday was the day of grand public outings as Tinie – real name Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu – headed to the London Palladium alongside his two leading ladies.
The little one looked to be sleeping (Picture: BACKGRID)
Wearing a sharp suit, the artist cut a dapper figure in a black double-breasted blazer with a little flair in the form of a flower button-up underneath.
His partner wore a camel dress and sneakers as she carried baby, who appeared to be having a mid day nap, into the venue.
His smiles come after last year, albeit-briefly, introducing his little one to the world.

As he shared a snap of himself and his offspring boarding a private plane, he wrote: ‘Bringing home this sweet one just in time for Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone.’
This family rides in style.
Tinie, 30, is typically very private about his dating life. In 2016, the Brit award-winning rapper was reported to be dating the daughter of a Sir.
In an interview with the Daily Star, Tinie said of his love interest at the time: ‘I’m not interested in us trying to be like David and Victoria Beckham.
‘The moment you start to display your relationship as a rapper, it’s the beginning of the end.’
He also opened up about the prospect of having kids and admitted that, while he was keen to start a family at some point, he was fearful of the responsibility.
‘I’ve always wanted kids, but it’s only this year that I’ve figured out how to actually do that,’ he said.
‘I’m thinking about the responsibility, the sacrifice. At the moment, my life is crazy, but when I do settle down, I wanna have a big family, man.’
Looks like he’s made a start.

Gia Gunn might not have won Drag Race or All Stars, but she sure as hell has left an incredible legacy behind her.
Being the first ever transgender woman to compete on RuPaul’s masterpiece, she has high hopes that the series will continue to diversify and she plans to keep repping trans excellence.
Metro.co.uk caught up with Gia to discuss all things relating to the VH1 show, including where she’s at following Ru’s controversial transphobic comments one year later, the show’s filming secrets and of course the upcoming Brit edition.
Trans debate with RuPaul
RuPaul made headlines last March after he made controversial comments saying he wouldn’t let transgender women compete on the series.
RuPaul caused mass upset last year after saying transgender women wouldn’t be accepted onto the show (Picture: Getty)
Reflecting on Mama Ru’s initial words, Gia told us: ‘I think myself and many other members of the community were a bit hurt just because there are so many trans people who season after season have considered trying out and hoped that one day they would be good enough to make it on.
‘But then to hear the father of the show come forward and basically say no matter how talented you are, you will not most likely be on the show due to you being who you are… I think that’s a pretty grand and very drastic and harsh statement.
‘But Ru apologised and I think then that apology was further driven by inviting me onto All Stars. I think that was her way of showing that the show is all-inclusive and that it really doesn’t matter.’
Gia isn’t holding a grudge against Ru though and she’s grateful she got the opportunity to return to the show, adding: ‘I don’t think that he was wrong because it was his idea of what a drag queen is or what a contestant should be. It’s his show. If anybody is going to make those rules it is him.

‘In terms of me personally, I was invited to go on the show and I was able to bring trans representation on the show.
‘We just have to focus on the positive and moving forward and realising that I was honoured to be the first openly trans person on the show after so many seasons.
‘It’s a lot of good things that I took away from being on the season. I look forward to continuing to spread my own message of love when it comes to all of this and continuing to represent the show and trans excellence at its finest.’
Staged argument scenes
Gia spilled the T on how Drag Race is filmed, smashing illusion that it’s all completely off the cuff.
The 28-year-old performer confirmed that her clash with joint winner Trinity The Tuck during All Stars was made up for the cameras, explaining that the queens’ savage quips fired in each other’s direction are created for entertainment purposes.
‘I mean it’s a TV show,’ she began, ‘for those of us know how TV works, we can create what it is that viewers want to see without breaking any relationships or creating any bad feelings or really insulting one another.

‘A lot of what was done on Drag Race was quite intentional. Not everything is as glamorous and that’s the whole art of TV production.’
But that’s not to say it wasn’t totally ad lib, with Gia explaining: ‘Back in season six I didn’t really know how it worked. I also think that creates good TV as well. People are super candid and super unexpected.
‘If it’s just us being in the work room, that’s just one long day.’
‘Once it actually starts happening I’ll definitely be watching,’ Gia enthused. ‘My biggest advice is be true to yourself and be super natural. Don’t be afraid to give it your full potential because it only happens once and you want to make an impression.
Graham Norton and Alan Carr will be joining RuPaul for the UK version of Drag Race (Picture: Rex)
‘Everything I did has certainly got me to where I am now. I think I’m doing just fine. I try to live my life without any regrets.
‘Realistically, what really matters is how you move forward, how you get past, where you’re going. I try to tell myself that every day. Keep your eye on the prize.
‘I think you have to remember to stay positive when it comes to life and being yourself. It’s super important and necessary. If you don’t, who will.’
Future of Drag Race
Drag Race aired a total of three seasons last year, with the eleventh season having kick started just last month – but there’s still a long way to go.
‘I think the show has opened up everyone’s idea of what drag is and so I think now that means it’s open for all genders, all types of people and all walks of life,’ Gia said.
‘I’d like to see more of that. Giving diversity to a different dynamic which is very valid and very important. Also keeping up with the times. I think we see so much diversity in the community, but on TV we don’t.’

All the celebs taking part in Comic Relief’s Kilimanjaro climb made it to the summit (Picture: Getty Images)
Comic Relief 2019 has already seen its fair share of gruelling challenges – not least of which was the celebrity climb of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The challenge saw nine famous faces – among them Ed Balls and Dani Dyer – attempting to scale the peak to raise money ahead of Red Nose Day on 15 March.
In his latest episode of You Laugh You Lose tonight, PewDiePie got a little sidetracked as he introduced the YouTube segment.
While the 29-year-old ruler of YouTube was there to try not to laugh at a bunch of (hilarious) memes, the Swedish streamer – real name Felix Kjellberg – addressed the ongoing rivalry between his channel and that of T-Series’.
The Indian music label very quickly edged in front of Pewds for a short period this evening, by a few thousand followers. It was pretty nail-biting.
However, before any champagne could be popped and celebrations at their HQ begin, PewDiePie clawed back and currently sits more than 11,000 subscribers ahead.
PewDiePie doesn’t lose his crown for long (Picture: WireImage)
In a very well-timed post right after he clawed back the YouTube crown, Felix posted his latest video and addressed the subgap.
‘Has T-series beat us? First of all, round of applause. I thought it was the end game, but we’re still in it and we’re still kicking it,’ he said, perhaps not knowing the mayhem that ensued just minutes before he set his latest vlog live.
‘It would be awkward while I make this video, very happy, very cheerful and somehow T-Series has passed out of nowhere.’
Okay, does he literally make the video and then set it live? This guy is good with the timing!
And he wasn’t afraid to call out their last ditch effort for more subscribers.
‘They’re calling in the cavalry. All these Indian celebrities going, “hey I’m not paid to do this and I’m not paid to say this but subscribe to T-Series”,’ he joked on Wednesday.
‘”Oh and there’s definitely not a gun to my head…but subscribe to T-Series”.’
He continued: ‘I don’t care. Pathetic!
‘I barely relied on help from anyone!’
We mean, Pewds, that’s not true – you have most of YouTube behind you…but we guess you didn’t ask for them to support you…did you?
Did T-Series? Who knows what’s going on these days.
The record label, which has also passed the 89 million mark, has been going full steam ahead in its attempt to overtake Pewds.
Since, famous faces from India have come out in droves to promote the channel, including actor Anil Kapoor, who told fans: ‘Attention, attention, attention! India’s very own YouTube channel is on the verge of becoming the world’s number one YouTube channel.
‘So put all your hearts into winning this. All you have to do is subscribe to T-Series on YouTube.’

MasterChef contestant Thomas cried over his overcooked meat (Picture: BBC)
MasterChef contestant Thomas was reduced to tears on Wednesday night after his overcooked pork tenderloin failed to wow judges John Torode, Gregg Walace and guest star Michel Roux Junior.
The 25-year-old from Devon plated up the meat alongside mash potato with an onion jus, sweetbreads, chestnut and mushroom stuffing, braised onions, green beans and an onion puree for the Invention Test round, but left it cooking a little longer than he should have – unlike poor old Ottillie who presented the duo with raw chicken last month.
‘The pork loin for me is slightly overcooked,’ said Michel upon sampling the goods.
John followed suit, adding: ‘Your pork loin is drying on the outside, and then you’ve hacked at it rather than carving it properly.’
Thomas presented the MasterChef gang with overcooked pork tenderloin (Picture: BBC)
But Gregg wasn’t so harsh, saying: ‘I really like your flavours. I think you’ve got to make an effort with your presentation with your dishes because it’s really letting you down.’
Thomas wiped away tears as he later talked to the camera.
‘It wasn’t all bad. It’s just not what you want,’ he said. ‘There was some really good stuff as well, it’s just that you push yourself to do your best and when you don’t hit your best, it’s really difficult.’
Viewers at home felt sympathetic towards Thomas, ackowledging that his tears were a sign of how much he wanted to stay in the competition.
‘Aww want to hug Thomas and tell him he’s lovely,’ wrote one as another echoed, ‘Oh Thomas, don’t cry.’
Fortunately for Thomas, his overdone meat wasn’t enough to send him packing and instead Paul was sent home, noting: ‘I’ve got to improve.
‘I’ve got to step it up a level now.’
MasterChef continues on Thursday at 8pm on BBC One.

The first season of Glow Up is already underway, as we see a group of aspiring make-up artists set challenges based on professional assignments, in addition to themed creative challenges.
Speaking on the subject of her new role as competition judge, Val said: ‘I’m so very excited to be part of this brand new series, finding the next amazing talent of make-up artists.’
‘What I’m looking for is skill, creativity, the ability to adapt in any given situation,’ she added. ‘I’m looking for someone who works well under pressure, could read the brief behind the brief, even if there is no brief! This person has to have an incredible attitude, be able to feel comfortable in any situation and deliver.’
She also warned: ‘What won’t impress me? Don’t give me diva, don’t give me attitude, don’t try to sell me something that I don’t believe in.’
Keen to know more about Val’s industry expertise? Then you’re in the right place…
Join @StaceyDooley and superstar judges @theValGarland and @dom_MUA as 10 aspiring make-up artists battle each week to be named Britain’s Next Make-Up Star!
Val Garland’s make-up career in the fashion industry
Val Garland, 60, hails from Bristol, England, and started her career in beauty as a hairdresser.
In an interview with Fashionista last year, Val said: ‘I didn’t plan to be a hairdresser, I just fell into it.
‘I also felt like, I’ll be a hairdresser while I work at the bigger picture, and the bigger picture was always going to be travel.
‘Doing hair I actually found that I wasn’t bad at it, I was actually quite good at it.’
From there, she went on to work as a hairdresser in Sydney, in a salon where fashion editors and modelling agencies would send their models to get their hair done, and so she made her first industry connections.
When describing her transition into make-up from hair, Val said she was effectively ‘bullied into it’.
She said: ‘I kind of knew all those people in that world and they all used to get me to come along and do test shoots and do the hair, and they would talk to me like, ‘You wear so much makeup, you should really do the makeup.’
‘I thought, I’m not interested in makeup, I like doing hair. Then I basically got bullied into it, really. One day the makeup artist didn’t turn up. So off I went.’
Dominic Skinner, Stacey Dooley and Val Garland head up Glow Up (Picture: BBC)
And now, after 30 years in the business, she isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
In 2018, she came out with the book Validated: The Makeup of by Val Garland, in which she explores some of the highlights of her career, her inspirations, and what it’s like working with cultural icons like Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano, Edward Enninful, Nick Knight, and Kate Moss, alongside campaign and catwalk photos of her work through the years.
Now, aside from judging Glow Up, Val is the L’Oreal Paris Global Makeup Director, in addition to a British Vogue Contributing Beauty Editor.
Episodes of Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star are being released online on BBC Three on Wednesdays, as well as being shown on BBC One from 10.35pm.
