Kelsey Grammer wants new Frasier reboot to see him have a bust-up with brother Niles

Kelsey Grammer wants the beloved sitcom to return and has some ideas about new storylines to kick a new series off, and it includes some head-butting with his on-screen brother.

It’s been 15 years since Frasier Crane waved goodbye to Seattle, and 35 since we first met him stumbling into the local Boston haunt that would change his life in Cheers.

Now the actor behind the iconic character is making fans a lot happier with further news of a revival on Friday’s This Morning during an interview with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

Speaking of the passing of co-star John Mahoney, who played his father, he said: ‘John was a lovely guy. My hope is that we can bring it back.

Kelsey popped into This Morning to share his ideas (Picture: ITV)

‘We are sort of shopping for the right idea.’

Kelsey pointed out that it wouldn’t be right for Frasier to return as an immediate continuation from the very last episode, like sitcom Will & Grace did.

‘I don’t think that is appropriate for Frasier because he was leaving town at the end of the show previously and he was going to explore his life in Chicago with his new lady love.

‘Whether that went badly or swimmingly, who knows?’

Kelsey would love a Frasier comeback (Picture: ITV)

The actor said a storyline that put him in tension with his younger brother Niles, played by David, would be fun to explore.

‘But something that puts him at odds with his brother again a little bit and their new life, they have a child now. My son Freddie would be 30-year-old,’ he said while listing potential storylines.

Kelsey admitted that ‘nobody has written a cheque yet’ but that there are ‘probably a lot of outlets that would pick it up.’

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk earlier this week, Kelsey confirmed stories are being pitched, the writing rooms have been booked, but ‘cheques haven’t been written,’ he grinned, which is fair: at Frasier’s peak he was paid an estimated $1.6million (£1.2million) per episode, making him the highest paid TV actor of all time.

‘I’d want everybody back,’ Kelsey stressed, although following the death of John in 2018 there will always be something missing.

‘We would need to deal with that within the storytelling, but I’d want everybody back, if they want to come back.’ Which ‘they seem to’, thankfully.

Fingers crossed.

This Morning airs Monday to Friday and Sunday at 10:30 am on ITV.

Black Panther cast had no idea they were auditioning for a Marvel movie

Winston admits that he had no clue what he was auditioning for (Picture: Marvel)

Marvel bosses like their secrecy but Black Panther star Winston Duke has revealed just how far bosses go to keep things hidden.

Like, not even tell their potential cast they’re auditioning for a Marvel movie.

‘I would have cut a finger nail off to work with any of the people individually, then being in a movie with all of them? That was out of this world,’ says Winston.

And then the 32-year-old actor, who is starring alongside Black Panther co-star Lupita Nyong’o in Jordan Peele’s new horror film, Us, added: ‘And I didn’t even know what I was doing, I didn’t know what movie it was in the audition.’

Wait, back up.

‘I didn’t know what movie it was in the audition’ (Picture: Rex)

‘They didn’t tell you so I auditioned without knowing what movie I was auditioning for,’ he added.

‘They were fake scripts! You just sign a non-disclosure agreement and then they send you sides (a part of a script provided to actors for use in an audition) that they just wrote, and you memorise it and work on it and flush it out and create character and go in and do your things.

‘But I had no idea until I had a director session the third time around and saw it was Ryan Coogler, and I was like “ohhhh, lightbulb!”‘

Winston starred as M’Baku in the hit Marvel movie, which debuted in February 2018 and went on to become on the studio’s biggest success stories.

After the events of Black Panther, T’Challa, Okoye and M’Baku all appeared in Avengers: Infinity War but Winston admitted that despite being the new kids on the block, they were welcomed in ‘right off the bat’.

The Russo Brothers ‘gave us a lot of freedom’ (Picture: Marvel)

And admitting that when it comes to Infinity War he ‘can speak way more candidly’, Winston says that the Russo Brothers ‘gave us a lot of freedom’.

‘We walked on the set and they said “we weren’t a part of Black Panther, we don’t know this as deeply as you do so we’re trusting you to bring whatever you want into this and we’ll take a back seat.”

‘I taught some of the chants to the guys on set, some of them were new extras who were part of the tribe, and I taught some of the language and the words to other people, and Danai did the same.

‘We got a lot of freedom to just flex and do what we did, create a world and make Wakanda feel flushed out within a movie that wasn’t even really about it.’

Us is out in cinemas on 22 March 2019.

Tom Payne has moved on from The Walking Dead’s Jesus – but we’re just not quite there yet.

The actor saluted ‘new beginnings’ on Thursday night as he finally cut off Paul Rovia’s long locks, four months after the character’s death.

Actor Tom officially buried his AMC alter-ego, sharing a picture of at least 10-inch strands in elastic bands, in front of a mirror.

The actor is yet to unveil is new look but it’s known that his next role will be in TV movie Prodigal Son.

Jesus was killed off in the November 2018 episode Evolution and despite fans’ shock and disappointment, the actor confirmed at the time that he was ready to ‘move on’.

Tom held onto the distinctive beard and long-hair look – that earned his character the nickname ‘Jesus’ – for the duration of his three-year tenure, but by 2018 it had gotten a little out of control.

In October, he said: ‘Honestly, like, I’m [on] Walking Dead right now and I kind of have to with the long hair and the beard, but I’d love to get back into film.

‘I love the completed arc. Like episodic television is great and especially Walking Dead is amazing, but it’s nice to be on a project where you know your beginning, middle, and end, so I’m looking forward to maybe doing some more stuff like that.’

Looking ahead to Fox drama pilot Prodigal Son, Tom replacing Iron Fist star Finn Jones.

Plot teasers hint that in Tom’s role as Malcolm he will ‘use his twisted genius and razor-sharp instincts as a forensic profiler to help the NYPD solve crimes and stop killers.

‘All the while, he’ll be dealing with a manipulative mother (Bellamy), annoyingly normal sister, a homicidal father still looking to bond with his prodigal son and his own constantly evolving neuroses.

‘Intelligent but deeply damaged, Malcolm has a self-deprecating sense of humor and a surprising level of compassion.’

Whoopi Goldberg shocks The View co-stars with surprise return after revealing she almost died from pneumonia

Whoopi Goldberg got the cheers of a champion when she returned to The View after she almost died from pneumonia and sepsis.

The Oscar-winning actress shocked her co-stars Joy Behar, Abby Huntsman, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin and Meghan McCain when she came marching in to a massive applause just one week after she revealed in a candid video to fans that she came unbearably close to ‘leaving the earth’.

After three weeks in hospital, the 63-year-old was clearly chuffed to be back with her girls.

‘This is my first foray out,’ Whoopi told the audience and panel, who had no idea the host would be dropping by. ‘I’m not there yet, I know that. The only way I’m going to get better is if I begin. So this is my beginning.’

But she still has a steady road to recovery ahead.

‘I still have a cough and that’s the last thing to go, apparently,’ she said. ‘Over the next week and a half I will start to be here more often. But I wanted the first foray out to be to come see y’all because I missed y’all.’

Whoopi was taken into hospital last month and while being treated for a double lung inflamation, she was diagnosed with sepsis – the leading cause of death in hospitals, killing 250,000 patients in American hospitals every year.

‘This stuff, really for everybody, you think you can push through because you got a little cold. And you think because you healed quick that something crazy can’t happen? Well it could,’ she stressed.

‘This is a cautionary tale for all of us. You must really take care of yourself because there’s little tiny stuff out there that will kill you that you never think of.’

Welcome back, Whoopi.

The View airs weekdays on ABC.

03/13/2019 EXCLUSIVE: Amber Heard packs on the PDA with Andy Muschietti in Los Angeles. The 32 year old actress was all smiles before she and the 45 year old 'It' director engaged in a public makeout session. Amber Heard has confirmed her split from Vito Schnabel – by kissing her new boo.

Pretty conclusive.

The 32-year-old debuted her new romance with a kiss as she packed on the PDA with director Andy Muschietti.

Amber was pictured leaving a house in Los Angeles with the Argentinian filmmaker, and they seemed rather comfortable with each other, as Andy, 45, held an arm around the actress’s shoulders.

The Aquaman star was dressed in a button-down skirt and a classic beige coat, while she had another coat – this time a floral blue number – over her arm, as well as carrying a large handbag.

The couple were then pictured sharing a kiss before going their separate ways.

Muschietti is best known for the directing the remake of It and the acclaimed 2013 horror film Mama, while Amber has starred in big screen offerings such as Magic Mike XXL, The Rum Diary and Pineapple Express, so we’re sure they have plenty to talk about.

Amber was most recently linked to art dealer Vito Schnabel – who previously dated Heidi Klum – with the pair first being seen together in May 2018.

However, Vito signalled their split earlier this week as he enjoyed a dinner date with model Denise Schafer.

Before dating Vito, Amber was in a relationship with Elon Musk, who she dated after her split from Johnny Depp.

The actress is currently being sued for defamation by her ex-husband in a $50 million (£37.8m) lawsuit, after she penned an op-ed about domestic abuse for the Washington Post.

While Depp wasn’t specifically mentioned in the piece, the actor’s legal team has claimed that the article’s implication was that Depp ‘perpetrated domestic violence against her’ – allegations he ‘categorically’ denies.

Amber’s attorney Eric M George said in a statement to People: ‘This frivolous action is just the latest of Johnny Depp’s repeated efforts to silence Amber Heard. She will not be silenced.

‘Mr. Depp’s actions prove he is unable to accept the truth of his ongoing abusive behaviour. But while he appears hell-bent on achieving self-destruction, we will prevail in defeating this groundless lawsuit and ending the continued vile harassment of my client by Mr. Depp and his legal team.’

If you ever see Black Panther star Winston Duke, turns out it’s cool for you to perform the M’Baku chant at him in public.

The 32-year-old star of the Marvel film and Jordan Peele’s latest horror outing, Us, has spoken about how fame has changed his life, and admitted that the biggest difference is simply how often he is now recognised – including in grocery store lines.

‘I can’t say I was fully prepared for the way [fame] changed the lack of privacy that comes with it but also the responsibility that comes with it,’ he said, speaking to Metro.co.uk.

‘It hasn’t been difficult just different. But good. How it’s been different is how recognised you are, and in what spaces, so people doing the M’Baku chant in line at the grocery store!’

He says it doesn’t bother him though, because he knows ‘what Black Panther means to people of colour’.

‘It’s our Harry Potter,’ he says.

‘It’s our chance to dress up and lose yourself in the fanfare and fandom, which is cool and I recognise that and I think it’s great, so I never yak on anyone’s yum!’

Winston starred as M’Baku in the hit Marvel movie, which debuted in February 2018 and went on to become on the studio’s biggest success stories.

When it comes to 2018’s Infinity War, Winston adds that directors the Russo Brothers gave the Black Panther crew ‘a lot of freedom’.

Winston – who is starring alongside his Wakanda co-star Lupita Nyong’o in Jordan Peele’s new horror film, Us – says: ‘We walked on the set and they said “we weren’t a part of Black Panther, we don’t know this as deeply as you do so we’re trusting you to bring whatever you want into this and we’ll take a back seat.”

Nicole Scherzinger has been spotted looking fierce as she heads out for dinner at Craig’s in West Hollywood and onto the iHeartMusic Awards.

She’s feeling herself and we’re living for it.

The Don’t Hold Your Breath singer rocked a nude PVC dress as she headed to the event, posing up a storm on the red carpet.

Nicole, 40, also took the time to share the look on Instagram, showing off her high ponytail and gorgeous makeup.

She definitely wasn’t short of celeb pals to hang out with at the event, sharing snaps of herself with rapper T-Pain, the Backstreet Boys, and DJ Marshmello on her Instagram Stories.

Can we get in on this squad, please?

And the star looked to be shrugging off the drama involving an intimate tape of her and her ex-boyfriend Lewis Hamilton being leaked.

The former Pussycat Dolls singer was mortified in February when footage of her kissing and cuddling the Formula One racer surfaced online. Nicole and Lewis, 34, dated for seven years before splitting for good in 2015 and the tape was filmed during their on/off relationship.

She wasn’t short of celeb pals at the event (Picture: nicolescherzinger)

Opening up about the leak publicly for the first time, Nicole told The Sun at an Oscars party last weekend: ‘It’s been horrible.

‘I genuinely don’t understand why someone would do something like this, or why they would leak it. It’s an unbelievably mean thing to do.’

A source added that the star’s ‘worried more videos will be leaked’.

They told the publication: ‘She feels hugely violated that someone’s been looking through her private pictures and is concerned this is just the start of a nightmare.’

Described as a ‘hugely embarrassing and distressing’ event for the superstar, an insider added: ‘She’s particularly worried as she deleted that video a long time ago, so it must have been hacked from the Cloud.’

Nevertheless, the star appears to be back to her best after the scandal, as she was spotted beaming away while wandering through LAX Airport earlier this month.

And she’s definitely keeping herself busy, giving her pal Will.i.am a hand as a guest judge on The Voice UK.

Go get ’em, girl.

Lily James and Alicia Vikander confirmed for Four Weddings And A Funeral sequel

The Four Weddings And A Funeral sequel is almost here, 25 years after the classic film.

(Yes, it’s in the form of a short for Comic Relief, but we’ll take all we can get.)

And in anticipation of the big day, or night, we have been given a brand new teaser of the sequel.

The clip opens with a wedding invite, although the spouses-to-be’s names are obscured by heart-shaped confetti.

We then see inside St James’ Church, where Tom (James Fleet) is walking to his seat, and Carrie (Andie McDowell) is sitting on the top pew – presumably mother of the bride.

There’s some newbies joining the gang (Picture: Film 4, Getty)

The clip cuts to Charles (Hugh Grant) and Fiona (Kristin Scott Thomas), who are welcoming guests into the church, before Charles tells Fiona – who is wearing the best fascinator ever – to go inside.

Fiona wishes her friend ‘good luck’, with Charles replying: ‘Indeed. Very scary.’

As well as getting a snippet of the film, it has also been confirmed that Lily James and Alicia Vikander will star in One Red Nose Day and a Wedding alongside the original cast.

The film’s writer Richard Curtis said: ‘I am delighted to finally be able to reveal that Lily James and Alicia Vikander will appear as our very special guests in ONE RED NOSE DAY AND A WEDDING. I can’t wait for audiences to tune in and discover what’s happening to our characters and their families 25 years on.’

Hugh Grant in Four Weddings sequel
The original cast is back for the sequel (Picture: BBC1)

While the plot has been kept under wraps, filming pictures seem to confirm just who Lily is playing in the Comic Relief special.

Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell, Kristin Scott Thomas, John Hannah, Rowan Atkinson, James Fleet, David Haig, Sophie Thompson, David Bower, Robin McCaffrey, Anna Chancellor, Rupert Vansittart, Simon Kunz, Sara Crowe and Timothy Walker have all returned for Four Weddings’ sequel, as has the original director Mike Newell.

And Richard has outed Hugh for struggling to remember the mannerisms of the character he played way back in 1994.

Speaking to Radio Times, the writer said: ‘It was two full and interesting days. Hugh had trouble remembering his character – but then he put on a pair of glasses and it all seemed to come back. Our marvellous director, Mike Newell, took it very seriously, with all the passion and accuracy that he put into the first film.

‘It is actually meant to be a continuation of the film – not just a sketch – and on a couple of occasions there was genuine emotion and passion and even romance in the room.’

One Red Nose Day and a Wedding will air during Comic Relief, which kicks off tonight at 7pm on BBC One.

Val Kilmer seems to be in recovery mode following his battle with throat cancer.

The 59-year-old actor looked smiley and energetic on a cinema trip on Thursday and his flair for style ensured he didn’t go unnoticed.

He covered a scar on his trachea with a jaunty neckerchief, that also seemed to conceal a breathing device under the collar of his denim shirt.

To add to the ensemble, Val brightened up his white chinos with some fluorescent yellow footwear.

It was a rare outing for the actor, who is believed to have had surgery in late 2018 to facilitate his breathing.

Though Val’s two-year cancer battle has never held him back from his love of film.

He was last pictured in October wearing a neck brace while he stepped out for a showing of Pacific Rim Rising in a Los Angeles cinema.

Kilmer – famous for films including Top Gun, Willow and The Doors – was forced to have surgery on his trachea during his cancer battle, ‘reducing his voice to a rasp’, according to a profile for The Hollywood Reporter.

Nevertheless, Val already has high hopes of returning to the big screen himself in 2020, by reprising his role as Tom ‘Iceman’ Kazansky in Top Gun 2.

Despite previously denying it, Val finally admitted that he was fighting cancer two years ago.

In a Facebook post, the actor wrote: Val responded: ‘I did have a healing of cancer, but my tongue is still swollen although healing all the time (sic).

‘Because I don’t sound my normal self yet people think I may still be under the weather.’

Michael Douglas was the one who first suggested that Val was battling throat cancer in 2016, however Val denied it.

Two years later, Val confirmed that the rumour was true, however ‘classy’ Michael had apologised for letting it slip.

Joe Swash has been giving us major proud dad vibes as he cradled his girlfriend Stacey Solomon’s baby bump during a sweet moment on the red carpet.

He’s acing dad duties already.

The sweet couple looked like a dream as they posed on the red carpet together while they were dressed up to the nines for Champney’s Charity Gala Ball in aid of Cancer Research.

However, the former Eastenders actor, 37, couldn’t resist making a joke of the whole situation, pushing his belly out and pretending to be pregnant, while Stacey, 29, stroked his stomach, giggling away.

Joe was clearly feeling left out (Picture: ANBN/ Andy Barnes / BACKGRID)

He clearly didn’t want to be left out.

The pair announced that they were expecting a baby back in February, with Joe sharing snaps of his girlfriend sleeping.

The actor wrote: ‘Have been driving myself mad thinking that she’s bored senseless of me and can’t stand to be awake for longer than 10 minutes of my company… So you can imagine my delight to find out that she still loves me and my company very much she’s just been growing a baby.

‘I can’t begin to describe how happy we are to be able to share this wonderful news. We’ve been so blessed with 3 incredible children that we’ve had the privilege of raising and we are forever grateful to have the chance to become parents to another wonderful child. It’s all very overwhelming and emotional and we couldn’t be happier right now.’

However, despite seeming like the perfect parent, Stacey’s not afraid to share some of her teething issues when she became a mum – and we love her all the more for it.

The Loose Women panelist recently revealed that she almost left her son Zach in a supermarket when he was a newborn.

She recalled: ‘Not long after Zach was born I was walking around a store, putting stuff in my basket. He was in his buggy and I’d placed the basket on top.’

Opening up about the dramatic moment she realise her tot was missing, the star added: ‘At some point I’d lifted the basket to carry it on my arm and drifted off.

‘About 10 minutes later I was queuing at the till when I suddenly felt sure I’d had another basket or something.’

Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch is still on the market (Picture: Getty Image)

Michael Jackson’s controversial Neverland Ranch is struggling to do well on the property market because of the allegations of child abuse against the late singer.

The property has been renamed to Sycamore Valley Ranch and faced a drastic reduction of 69% in order to entice potential buyers.

The two-part documentary Leaving Neverland: Michael Jackson and Me details sexual abuse allegations made against the singer by two men; James Safechuck and Emmy Award-winning choreographer Wade Robson.

The men go into ‘upsetting’ detail during the course of the documentary when describing the alleged abuse on Jackson’s Neverland Ranch.

As of today, the Ranch – which can be found in Santa Barbara County, California – is allegedly causing agents some stress because of how difficult it is to sell.

Speaking on Friday’s episode of This Morning, property mogul Leonard Steinberg told co-host Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford that the Thriller’s singer’s history and the recent documentary is not helping matters in the slightest.

He explained: ‘A little bit of Michael Jackson’s cuckoo-ness is still there but the only thing they removed was the amusement park, which maybe isn’t so amusing anymore.’

Speaking of the recent headlines, he added: ‘It does have a little bit of tarnish now, unfortunately. It’s a beautiful, beautiful property but it is difficult to erase history.’

But Steinberg has some tips on how to sell this part of Jackson’s estate, which has been given to a family trust.

The estate agent said: ‘I think the first thing you would have to do is a major price reduction and here you see the reduction is astronomical

‘Not only have they changed the price, they have changed the name of the property from Neverland to Sycamore Valley Ranch.

‘It is 69% below the original £75 million. Now the asking price is £23 million.’

In 2015, Neverland Ranch was put on sale for $100 million (£76.6 million).

However, as of September last year, the ranch was still on the market, only for 33% less of its original asking price – $67 million (£51.3 million).

In the meantime, UK viewers can now see for themselves what shocking things Robson and Safechuck have to say about their time spent with Jackson, with Robson saying that the abuse first began when he was alone with Jackson at the ranch.

This Morning airs Monday to Friday and Sunday at 10:30 am on ITV.

Kim Kardashian’s home might be a soulless pit but her wardrobe is giving us life

Kim’s home is a talking point (Picture: Instagram/ Kim Kardashian)

Kim Kardashian is showing off her wardrobe – which is really the most interesting part of her home.

It’s really Ying and Yang with this reality TV star.

Where the rest of her house looks like it lacks life – or a soul – her wardrobe looks like it sucked the little life out of the entire place to steal the show.

Over the last year, we have been gifted with glimpses of the 38-year-old’s home and it has left fans a little bit uncomfortable because of how … empty it looks.

Fittings ✨

A post shared by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) on

But we think we have figured out why. Is it so that all the creative energy can go into Kim’s large walk-in-closet for her accessories?

Approximately the size of an average London living room, the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star stood smack in the middle of her closet in a picture posted to Instagram on Thursday.

Wearing a backless white dress for the shot, the mother of three simply captioned the post writing, ‘fittings’.

Fans flocked to the comment section to gently encourage Kim to share her fashion items.

‘Wow. Dream closet. There’s no way you will use all those bags,’ said one fan. ‘I’ll dm you my address.’

We love the audacity.

Another bargained and wrote: ‘Can i just get one bag, only one would change my life.’

But this has not distracted us from Kim’s bathroom, the same one we haven’t been able to stop thinking about.

From the stony, granite bathtub with extremely sharp edges that suggest this is not a place her children North, Saint and Chicago would ever dare to tread (we hope), to the random fixtures on the wall and the wooden floors, it’s a lot to digest.

Just…just look at it (Picture: kimkardashian/Instagram)

We really can’t comprehend why anyone would opt for wooden floors in a wet room – sounds like a dangerous and soggy deathtrap to us.

And it’s like Kim doesn’t even realise the kind of soulless pit her bathroom is, as she shared a mirror selfie in February, simply captioning it: ‘Kinda missing blonde hair.’

Sorry? What about the fact your bathroom is ‘kinda missing’ emotion and character?

And Kim’s followers agreed, proving that we don’t have to be well-seasoned interior designers to have an opinion on this because we have all used a bathroom at least once in our lives – we hope.

‘That bathroom is so depressing,’ one commented on the picture, as another, claiming to be a designer, got way too into things: ‘As a designer I have so many questions…don’t you get cold in the shower? Where is your shampoo?

‘Looks like real wood, but has to be tile, Where is the drain? Is it linear? Love the minimalist aesthetic, but trying to figure it out.’

We’ve seen other areas of Kim’s house before, which, to be frank, reminds us of cold hearts and horror movies.

In fact, when people joked about Kanye West being in ‘the sunken place’, that void area of ‘living’ that was created by Jordan Peele in Get Out, Ye posted a bunch of pics of the empty hallways of his house in LA with Kim.

He wrote: ‘Do this look like the sunken place’, as he Tweeted a photo of a long, concrete hallway with a lone chair at the end.

Picture: Kim Kardashian West Can someone save Kenny G? - nobody understands
Save Kenny G! How will he get out of there (Picture: Instagram)

And then there was the time we were invited into their Calabasas home for Valentine’s Day when husband Kanye surprised Kim with a bunch of roses in individual glass vases, surrounded by a very famous Kenny G serenading her on the saxophone.

As romantic as the moment was, almost nobody could get over the fact that the room had no furniture.

It’s possible that the furniture was moved out for the OTT display but we won’t be surprised if there wasn’t a sofa in sight before Kenny arrived.

Now excuse us as we try to think of puppies and other warm things, to get over this cold museum of a home.

The Bachelor UK Winner Alicia Oates calls Alex Marks a ‘t***’ in deleted tweet as fans speculate over split

Alicia Oates won The Bachelor UK last night and presumably she’s been celebrating with her prize Alex Marks ever since, right?

Actually, it’s looking less and less likely as the pair have remained silent on Instagram and n a tweet, which has now been deleted by champ Alicia, she called the personal trainer a ‘grade A t***’, according to The Sun.

Maybe it’s a pet name? Maybe…

She wouldn’t be the only one to be hating on Alex, as three girls actually dumped The Bachelor during the series, which is unheard of Stateside, while most of the contestants stormed off when they finished a Rose Ceremony, well, roseless.

After Alex told Alicia he’d ‘fallen in love’ following an awkward snog on the beach in Antigua, a viewer watching from home, clearly not a fan of the lothario, tweeted: ‘I want @alicia_oates to win and then reject Alex for being a grade A t***.’

They’ve since claimed: ‘Ok so Alicia originally replied to this saying ‘he IS a grade A t***’ but has since deleted it.

‘It makes me think she and Alex have already broken up and she was told off for saying that on social media due to a contractual agreement.’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Alicia’s reps for comment.

As it stands, Alex and Alicia have become suspiciously quiet since last night’s finale, despite consistently sharing their excitement throughout the series.

Alicia’s last post came before she took Alex’s final Rose, admitting she’d ‘never’ been so nervous as the day she met his parents.

As for Alex, he hasn’t even mentioned what we thought would be his new girlfriend, and just apologised for keeping us up late each night this week to watch The Bachelor.

WTF is going on?!

The Bachelor UK is available to stream on My5.

Just two years ago, Louis’ mother Johannah passed away aged 43, and now his younger sister Félicité has died suddenly at just 18.

Reports have said that Louis has been left ‘devastated and distraught’ at the news of her death, which is suspected to have been the result of a heart attack.

As tributes and messages of support for Louis come flooding in, here’s a closer look at his family life.

Johannah Poulston

Louis’ mother Johannah sadly died after a battle with an aggressive form of leukemia in 2016.

Louis released a song, Two Of Us, in March to express his feelings of grief over her passing. Some of the lyrics include: ‘It’s been a minute since I called you/ You’ll never know how much I miss you/ The day that they took you/ I wish it was me instead/ But you once told me don’t give up.’

Georgia Austin

Georgia Austin, 20, is another of Louis’ half-sisters, being Louis’ estranged father Troy Austin’s daughter from his second marriage.

Freddie Reign Tomlinson

In 2015, Louis announced that he and his now-former partner Briana Jungwirth were expecting a baby.

Where does the Comic Relief money go and how much has been raised so far?

Today 18th March 2018 Victoria Beckham visits Box Girls in Kenya - a Sport Relief funded project. Community projects such as this are protecting, educating and empowering women of all ages. Here she's with Emmanuel Logwee Ngola, Isaac Turyasingura, Lochoro Albina Akwar to learn about how Boxing has helped them with their self confidence and their personal secutiy.

Tonight is Comic Relief’s annual Red Nose Day telethon, when celebrities will come together to raise money for the charity.

There will be all sorts of skits, including a saucy Magic Mike performance and a ‘sequel’ of beloved classic Four Weddings and a Funeral.

It’s plenty of fun, but there’s obviously a very important reason behind it all; to raise money for Comic Relief.

You’ll likely see appeals on the night of different projects the money sent in through donations is used for. Here’s a more detailed breakdown, however.

Sorry, this video isn't available any more.

How much money has Comic Relief raised so far?

Since its inception in 1985, Comic Relief has raised over £1 billion.

When it first started, the charity had live shows and used charity singles, but the first ever Red Nose Day was in 1988. This raise £15 million, and got 30 million viewers watching.

The second Red Nose day the following year reached £27 million, but the real record breaker was 2011 where over £108 million was raised.

In 2018, they surpassed the billion mark.

Where does the money go?

Comic Relief funds charity here in the UK as well as elsewhere in the world.

Since Comic Relief began they’ve provided 26,030 grants to causes supporting those with health issues, those in poverty, or those escaping violence.

They previously publicised their golden pound principle, whereby all money donated goes to help poor and disadvantaged people, and all administrative costs are covered through corporate sponsors or interest earned.

Some of the charities the money goes to include Help Refugees, Dementia Outdoors, and The Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria.

Catch the Red Nose Day telethon from 7pm tonight on BBC One.

From Pillow Queens to Jafaris, all the best Irish music you need to listen to this St Paddy’s Day

The Irish music scene is getting bigger and better (Picture: Getty)

Irish music has always held its own on the global stage – whether that’s U2 and Sinead O’Connor breaking America, My Bloody Valentine and The Cranberries heaping angst on your record collection, pop groups like Westlife, Boyzone and B*Witched breaking records on the charts, or The Dubliners, The Pogues and The Chieftans producing timeless traditional music.

And in 2019, there’s even more to look forward to from the Emerald Isle.

The Irish music scene is thriving more than ever, with indie, R’n’B, pop and electronic artists making waves at home – and soon will make waves abroad, if they haven’t already.

So this St Patrick’s weekend, grab your headphones and listen to the best new music Ireland has to offer.

Hozier

Let’s start off with one you’ll probably know, considering he’s currently sitting pretty at the top of the album charts in America.

Andrew Hozier-Byrne shot to fame in 2013 thanks to his song Take Me To Church going viral worldwide. The blues-gospel track was a global, Grammy-nominated hit, and his debut album produced the beautiful singles From Eden, Work Song and Cherry Wine.

Now, his second album Wasteland, Baby! proves he’s no one hit wonder. Gospel fusion is evident on Nina Cried Power, Shrike will make you cry – and if you need a song to get ~ in the mood ~ to, Dinner & Diatribes is your one. The horny Hozier memes aren’t all over the internet for nothing.

Listen to: Nina Cried Power, Movement, Dinner & Diatribes

Pillow Queens

There’s no band that screams ‘now’ more than Pillow Queens. The quartet – made up of Sarah Corcoran, Pamela Connolly, Rachel Lyons and Cathy McGuinness – formed in 2016 but in the past year, have been gaining the attention they deserve with their lo-fi, garage band tunes and insanely catchy riffs.

Pillow Queens own their queerness and also their Irish identity – while their songs are as good as anything on the scene right now, they are full of Irish slang and their accents are in no way watered down.

They’re also a rare example of a band who actually sound even better live – the rawness of their standout song Gay Girls, which, along with its brilliant video, achieved rave reviews upon release last year, is unmatched on stage.

Listen to: Favourite, Gay Girls, Rats

Fontaines DC

Alongside Brit bands Shame and IDLES who are reintroducing punk to the charts are Fontaines DC, a blistering five-piece whose energetic live shows and modern lyrics have seen them on countless ones to watch lists for 2019.

Despite selling out shows worldwide – they’re currently playing at SXSW Festival – Ireland is at the centre of everything they do. Their lyrics are intrinsically Irish, with Dublin City Sky – on their upcoming album Dogrel – sounding like a break-up song but actually reflecting on the gentrification of the capital.

Listen to: Too Real, Big, Roy’s Tune

SOAK

SOAK, the alter ego of Bridie Monds-Watson, released her debut album Before We Forgot How To Dream back in 2015, with the record winning the Choice Music Prize for album of the year and being nominated for the Mercury Prize.

But if you haven’t listened to her, don’t think that it’s too late to jump on the bandwagon.

The 22-year-old from Derry chose her stage name by mashing up ‘soul’ and ‘folk’, and that’s the perfect descriptor – SOAK mixes elements of Damien Rice and Cathy Davey with Bjork and Joni Mitchell, with a dash of dream pop for good measure. And while Bridie previously worried about being pigeon holed as a queer artist, she is not afraid to express her sexuality through her music – resulting in some incredible visuals to accompany her tracks.

SOAK’s European tour kicks off in May, so get listening.

Listen to: Sea Creatures, Knock Me Off My Feet, Deja Vu

ROE

Another super-talented young woman from Derry, ROE is the alter ego of Roisin Donald, a 19-year-old who calls her genre ‘grumpy electro pop’.

And if that doesn’t pique your interest, we don’t know what will.

ROE’s fresh take on electronic pop, mixed with drum machine beats and synths, may be ‘grumpy’ in its tone but is also very dreamy and uplifting – think the Skins soundtrack, but in 2019.

Listen to: Wasted.Patient.Thinking, Cheek, Boy, Playground

Jafaris

You may not think of Ireland as a source of urban music, but the thriving underground scene has finally broken above ground, with Jafaris one of the brightest rising stars.

The rapper, real name Percy Cahmburuka, moved from Zimbabwe to Dublin when he was six years old, with Jafaris calling the Irish capital his home.

His neo-soul tinged hip-hop has echoes of Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino, with his mellow tracks the perfect soundtrack for summer.

Listen to: Time, If You Love Me, Found My Feet

whenyoung

This indie trio, made up of vocalist Aoife Power, guitarist Niall Burns and drummer Andrew Flood, debuted in 2017, and made such an impact that after releasing two songs, they were invited to play at Shane McGowan’s 60th birthday party.

And we don’t blame him – whenyoung’s take on melodic indie pop has echoes of Pixies, Peace and The Cranberries, with Aoife’s sweet and distinctly Irish vocals adding an extra level.

Having supported bands including The Vaccines and Blossoms, 2019 could be the year this trio breaks through to top billing.

Listen to: Never Let Go, Pretty Pure, Dreams

JyellowL

Another rising hip-hop artist from Dublin, rapper and poet JyellowL has become a firm favourite at festivals and is sure to make a dent on a bigger stage this year.

The Word Up Collective member was raised by Jamaican and Nigerian parents, and draws on all aspects of his heritage for his music.

Addressing everything from racism to fake rappers to the lessons taught to him by his Jamaican nana, his unique perspective gives a distinct flavour to his verses.

Michael Jackson’s brother Tito calls Leaving Neverland documentary ‘ludicrous and unfair’ as family sues creators

Former Jackson 5 singer Tito Jackson has called the documentary Leaving Neverland ‘crazy’, ‘ludicrous’ and ‘unfair’ as the Michael Jackson estate sues the creators of the show.

The documentary – broadcasted on HBO and Channel 4 – explores claims made against Michael by Wade Robson and James Safechuck, accusing him of sexually abusing them when they were children.

Some viewers were left ‘disturbed’ by the graphic detail included in the divisive documentary and turned against Michael after it aired.

The Michael Jackson estate and his family have denied the allegations and claim the documentary is ‘not true’. Jackson’s estate is suing HBO for $100million over the controversial doc.

Tito, who was spotted in LAX on Thursday, told a TMZ reporter that it wasn’t right to mute his late brother’s music based on the words of his accusers.

‘I think that’s so unfair being that there hasn’t been a trial or nothing of the sort,’ the 65-year-old said before later adding: ‘It’s kind of crazy and ludicrous to me.’

On how he was coping with the aftermath of the documentary, he honoured his late father and music manager Joe Jackson and answered: ‘Well, I’m doing what I do. Like my father always says, “I have a life to live and I’m continuing to do what I do”’.

Meanwhile, Michael’s only daughter Paris has said it ‘isn’t her role’ to defend her father against the backlash since the documentary aired in the UK and the US.

She also praised Michael’s nephew Taj Jackson for speaking so openly of his support for the late star.

Paris was seen venting on Twitter after pictures circulated in the press of her out with her boyfriend in New Orleans.

When one fan suggested the interest in her has been raised because she hasn’t yet publicly responded to the documentary, Paris tweeted in response: ‘There’s nothing i can say that hasn’t already been said in regards to defense. taj is doing a perfect job on his own.

‘i support him. but that’s not my role. i’m just tryna get everyone to chill out and go with the flow, be mellow and think about the bigger picture. that’s me. (sic)’

While Paris hasn’t commented on Leaving Neverland, she has hit back at claims she was worried about the documentary ‘ruining her acting career’ and defended her dad’s ‘good heart’.

One user tweeted Paris telling her that her father’s ‘legacy’ has now been ‘ruined and his name smeared forever’ because of Leaving Neverland.

She replied: ‘Yeah they do that to everyone with a good heart and tries to make a difference, but do you really think that it’s possible to tear his name down?

‘Like do you truly believe they stand a chance? Relax and have peace.’

Taj, meanwhile, has been protesting that his uncle Michael – who died in 2009 – is innocent. He has claimed Robson is ‘100%’ lying about his allegations and accused Robson of ‘trying to make money’ from Jackson.

Leaving Neverland’s director Dan Reed has show his support for Robson and Safechuck and debunked suggestions they are lying.

He also revealed the two men were never paid for their involvement and had no ‘financial interest’ in the documentary.

Lilly Singh’s journey from YouTube to late nights on NBC: From comedy skits to coming out

$

She’s ready to shine

The entire YouTube community rallied round Lilly Singh when it was announced that she’d be taking over from Carson Daly to have her own show on NBC.

And you’ve got to admit, A Little Late With Lilly Singh sounds like a match made in heaven.

But, as the first woman to host a late night talk show on a ‘Big 4’ network, and the one of the first YouTubers to make such a big break into the mainstream, how exactly did she get here?

The 30-year-old, who currently boasts a following of more than 14 million, started her YouTube channel with a jumble of content, from music videos and tutorials to traditional sit-down vlogs.

Even in 2010, she radiated the positivity that she’s known for, giving herself the nickname ‘Superwoman’, prompted by her belief that she could do anything.

She’s definitely proven that by now.

Pretty quickly, the star found her stride as a comedian, creating skits, often starring herself as her parent characters, Paramjeet and Manjeet, and showing off her self-deprecating humour.

An honourable mention has to go to her ability to draw on a full beard with marker pens. It’s a useful skill, okay?

Having largely worked alone previously, 2014 saw Lilly begin to collaborate with her YouTube pals, including Colleen Ballinger, also known as her alter-ego Miranda Sings, Shane Dawson, and Rhett and Link.

And it was about this time that it started to become clear that our girl had her fair share of celeb admirers. More than her fair share, in fact. Making skits with Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jay Sean, and the Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar, she was’t short on famous faces to star in her videos.

And, by 2015, she’d racked up a whopping 7 million subscribers on YouTube, and wasn’t stopping any time soon.

Despite the numbers, she stayed true to her roots, making comedy skits starring herself, and still drawing on those marker pen beards. We stan.

Meanwhile, she was making a name for herself as an advocate for women’s rights, being the face of the #GirlLove movement and promoting women building each other up – she even starred in Maroon 5’s Girls Like You music video, which resulted in an adorable drunken bonding moment with Gal Gadot.

However, cut to November 2018, and things weren’t all smooth sailing with Lilly.

She was exhausted, and in dire need of a break from everything, so she uploaded a video telling her viewers that she was going away indefinitely.

Twitter @IISuperwomanII
She’s got her fair share of celeb fans (Picture: Twitter @IISuperwomanII)

‘I am mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually exhausted,’ she said.

‘I have been doing YouTube consistently for eight years.’

She added: ‘I’ve enjoyed it, I love it, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s been a lot.’

While she didn’t put a time limit on the break, she couldn’t stay away for long, making a triumphant comeback with her 12 Collabs Of Christmas, starring just a few lowkey pals, including Rita Ora, Terry Crews, and John Cena. Just the standard.

Later ditching her ‘Superwoman’ nickname, Lilly explained that she’s ready to focus on her own happiness this year rather than putting all her energy into her online persona.

‘What’s going on 2019? And can I just say, I am happy,’ she beamed at the beginning of the video as she referenced her break from the platform.

And she’s definitely running with that attitude, which she proved big time with her coming out message.

Never having explicitly mentioned her sexuality online before, Lilly came out to fans back in February of this month with a powerful message.

‘Female, Coloured, Bisexual,’ she wrote. ‘Throughout my life these have proven to be obstacles from time to time. But now I’m fully embracing them as my superpowers.’

She added: ‘No matter how many “boxes” you check, I encourage you to do the same x,’ finishing off the message with a string of rainbow hearts.

And turns out her superpowers are serving her well, as it was less than a month later that she announced she’d be taking to NBC with her new show.

‘An Indian-Canadian woman with her own late night show? Now that is a dream come true,’ she said in a statement. ‘I’m thrilled to bring it to life on NBC, and I hope my parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild.’

But she’s certainly not straying too far from her roots, reasoning that her show’s going to be a lot like her YouTube channel.

We’ll be expecting a drawn on marker pen beard pronto then, girl.

We’ve all made some mortifying first impressions – whether that’s swearing in front of your new significant other’s parents, or choking on your own saliva in a job interview.

No? Just us?

But T-Pain’s first meeting with Taylor Swift was a whole new level of embarrassing.

The rapper has revealed that he headbutted T-Swizzle in the boob upon their first meeting, which is pretty darn cringey.

T-Pain, real name Faheem Rasheed Najm, hosted the iHeartRadio Music Awards last night in Los Angeles, and while on stage, decided to apologise to Taylor.

The 33-year-old said: ‘Taylor, I never apologized to you. The first time we met – you’re so much taller than me, that I thought you were standing on something.

‘Without looking down, I tried to stand on whatever I thought you were standing on and – bam! Headbutted you right in the boob.

‘I’m so sorry. That was not my intention.’

Taylor, 29, thankfully laughed off the awkward moment, and was seen giggling in her chair.

She did go on to win two awards at the ceremony, Best Music Video for Delicate and Tour of the Year – so she had plenty to smile about.

T-Pain is best known for his autotuned verses on songs like Kanye West’s Good Life, Flo-Rida’s Low and DJ Khaled’s All I Do Is Win.

But he made surprise waves on TV this year, when he won series one of Fox’s The Masked Singer.

The hip-hop star was the artist underneath the Monster mask throughout the series, and was finally unveiled when he won on the season finale last month.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres about why he chose the Monster costume, T-Pain said: ‘I picked the worst costume to be in for that long because everybody else’s was a mask and just clothes. I picked a cylinder for some reason and just a giant head.

‘We were picking the costumes and all the costumes were available but I picked the silliest-looking one because I thought I was going to be gone on the first episode because I have a real distinct voice.

‘So I felt like if I was going to embarrass myself I may as well take it to the highest level.’

Mission accomplished.

Sam Smith has revealed that he underwent liposuction at age 12 after being ‘so self conscious’ about his body.

The I’m Not The Only One singer explained he was ‘chubby’ as a child, and that he ‘had breasts’.

He explained: ‘I was so self conscious that it was affecting my mood and life everyday.’

‘I had liposuction when I was 12 years old. That’s a big thing,’ the 26-year-old added to Jameela Jamil on her podcast I Weigh.

However, he admitted that it didn’t change a whole lot.

‘I hadn’t figured out my relationship with food,’ he explained.

And Sam’s issues with his body image haven’t been something he’s been able to quickly fix.

‘Two days ago I had a full day where I was like, “I just have to sit alone I think.” I’m getting so sad,’ he recalled.

‘I get very, very dark. Very sad. Recently I’ve been able to get out of those holes a bit quicker because of things like I Weigh.’

He added: ‘It doesn’t feel manly does it to talk about how I feel in my body every day, but that’s what I’m trying to fight against I guess.’

And Sam’s comments come after he recently admitted that he used to starve himself ‘for weeks’ before photo shoots.

Posting a picture by Ryan Pfluger, the artist wrote: ‘In the past if I have ever done a photo shoot with so much as a t-shirt on, I have starved myself for weeks in advance.

‘Then I would pick and prod at every picture and normally taken the picture down.

‘Yesterday I decided to fight the fuck back. Reclaim my body and stop trying to change this chest and these hips and these curves that my mum and dad made and love so unconditionally.

‘Some may take this as narcissistic and showing off but if you knew how much courage it took to do this and the body trauma I have experienced as a kid you wouldn’t think those things.’

He thanked Pfluger for allowing him to celebrate his body ‘as it is’ in a picture that showed Sam standing alone on the beach, wearing nothing but distressed jeans.

Sam concluded: ‘I’ll always be at war with this bloody mirror but this shoot and this day was a step in the right fucking direction.’
