Drake reportedly agreed to pay a $350,000 (£280,000) settlement to the same woman he tried to sue for making false sexual assault claims, which he was entirely cleared of in 2017.

The alleged settlement has been revealed after Instagram model Layla Lace filed a new public complaint against her own attorney because he didn’t act on her best interests.

Published by The Blast, the complaint exposes all of the alleged details of Layla’s gritty ‘fetish’ encounter with Canadian hitmaker Drake after a Manchester tour date in the UK in February 2017.

In her complaint, Layla alleges: ‘Drake forced me to perform oral on him.’

She then claims: ‘It wasn’t your ordinary oral it was more so a fetish,’ involving a measuring cup.

Drake’s team insist Layla is lying, two years after he was cleared of any wrongdoing by British police.

Respresentatives for Drake have been contacted by Metro.co.uk for comment.

It’s believed that the settlement was made shortly after Drake tried to sue Layla for causing emotional distress, fraud, defamation and abuse of process in September 2018 when she made rape allegations in 2017.

Drake previously admitted to having sex with Layla after the Manchester concert on his Boy Meets World Tour.

But he insisted their night of passion was consensual, stating that ‘Layla also voluntarily and seemingly happily performed oral sex.’

Layla is said to have become infuriated when Drake didn’t invite her to travel with him on the rest of his tour, which continued around Europe and Australia.

In April 2017, she claimed to have fallen pregnant with Drake’s child yet there was no ‘credible evidence’ of a pregnancy or baby.

In May, Layla allegedly hired a lawyer to ask Drake for millions of dollars but she refused to take a paternity test.

The situation then escalated when Layla contacted New York police in June accusing the rapper of raping her during their night in Manchester.

The rape case was referred to Manchester police who interviewed Drake but cleared him of any wrongdoing, finding no reason or evidence to take it further.

Black Mirror’s Striking Vipers has managed to walk the series fine line between the real and fake once again but left viewers baffled with what exactly happened.

The episode, which was written by series creator Charlie Brooker, saw two best friend Danny (Anthony Mackie) and Karl (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) start a sexual relationship in a computer game – a virtual reality fighting game.

As their intense relationship gets heavier, Danny’s wife Theo (Nicole Beharie) remains completely unaware – suspecting her husband of an affair but never in what capacity. When confronted, Danny insists that he’s not cheating on her.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Charlie explained: ‘I think there’s a bit of a porn analogy going on. There’s definitely a commentary on male awkwardness or trying to negotiate what this friendship is in this big curve.

‘The big spanner goes in the works and they’re not quite sure who they are in a way and what they mean to each other and how they express that, and there is a way where you can communicate.’

However, Charlie added that this isn’t just an issue with Danny and Karl – but Theo as well.

‘It’s not just between the men – the three of them, there’s a problem with communication, there’s some sort of block that goes on throughout the episode. So all of the above.

‘There’s definitely similar tech to San Junipero and the way it plays out is very different. We were sort of thinking of things like porn and an analogy for that that hopefully isn’t grubby.’

The series ends with everyone discovering the truth and the effects the game has had on their real lives – with Karl acknowledging Danny doesn’t have a romantic interest in him away from the game, Danny realising the trouble he’s caused and Theo deciding to let him continue with the game under restricted circumstances.

‘One of the things I found fascinating about writing it, is that I don’t quite know where I stand on a lot of the issues,’ Charlie continued. ‘I don’t have an answer to that. Yes and No is the answer to a lot of those things. Is he being unfaithful? Yes he definitely is, but also no he isn’t because it’s not really happening.

‘Then again, it sort of is really happening… Is this a homosexual relationship they’re having? Yes it is, but also no, it isn’t. So there’s all sorts of stuff going on.’ 

As a result, it’s something that Owen Harris, who directed Striking Vipers as well as fan favourites Be Right Back and San Junipero, deliberately kept ambiguous.

Speaking about his choice to Hollywood Reporter, he said: ‘We looked at a bunch of different endings and this was the one that we settled on. It was always written to end with ambiguity.’

‘I think that’s a good description for this one — pragmatic,’ he continued. ‘You could have taken it in quite a number of different directions, but this ending probably asks no less and no more questions than any other routes.

‘We had extra elements that we tried with the ending that pushed in slightly one direction, in terms of how successful this solution is for the marriage.’

On what lies ahead for the trio, especially the state of Danny and Theo’s marriage, Owen added: ‘A sacrifice is being made.

‘They are challenging themselves to see whether this is actually going to save their marriage and I do like the idea that they are going to take that challenge.’

Riverdale season four will open with a tribute to the late Luke Perry.

Perry played Fred Andrews, the father of lead character Archie (KJ Apa). The actor died in March after suffering a stroke at the age of 52.

In his final episode, which aired in season three, Fred gave some comforting advice to Archie after his boxing rival Randy (Darcy Hinds) died during a match in a previous episode.

The remaining episodes of the season were dedicated to Perry, but season four will open with In Memoriam, which will ‘honor’ the actor and his character.

Riverdale creator Robert Aguirre-Sacasa tweeted: ‘Probably the most important episode of #Riverdale we’ll do this year, if not ever.

‘A tribute to our fallen friend. Thankful for this opportunity to honor Luke & Fred.’

He did not explain exactly how Fred’s absence will be addressed on the teen drama.

Aguirre-Sacasa previously explained that Luke’s passing would be dealt with on screen.

He told Entertainment Tonight in March: ‘You know, honestly we are I think all still in shock and are still processing and grieving. We know that we have to address it in some way, but we’re giving ourselves a little bit of time and space before we figure out the best way to honour him’

Roberto added: ‘Luke was, is, and will always be a big part of Riverdale. We’re kind of a family and when a loss like this happens, you carry it always.

‘It changes and it hopefully becomes a little less painful as time goes by, but you’re changed. When I was with the crew, I said, “it will never be the same,” and that’s true because Luke was such a part of the show.’

He also hinted that the show would see Archie’s mum Mary (Molly Ringwald) ‘stepping in as more of an active parent…but that all depends on the availability of the actors around us.’

Riverdale is set to return to The CW and Netflix.

Ancient video game franchises returning from the grave with modern updates has become commonplace nowadays, even if the 15 year wait since the first Evil Genius is particularly extreme. But what’s most surprising about the series’ return is the fact that there’s still a healthy sized community of people playing the first game, despite the fact that both the original publisher and developer are no more. And good for them, because that’s one of the main reasons there’s now a sequel.

The rights to the franchise have been acquired by Sniper Elite publisher Rebellion, who are making the sequel themselves and unveiled it for the first time at E3 last week. They did so via a pre-rendered trailer, that didn’t show any gameplay, but behind closed doors they did have a hands-off demo that showed the game is looking good and is already perfectly playable.

Evil Genius was the best of a flurry of games influenced by Bullfrog’s classic Dungeon Keeper in the late 90s and early 2000s. The idea in Dungeon Keeper was that rather than playing the hero in a dungeon crawler you play the dungeon itself and all the creatures in it, mining out the dungeon, creating an infrastructure, and filling it with minions and traps in order to defend against waves of invading heroes. Evil Genius is the same idea except with a James Bond villain’s secret lair.

The promotional artwork for Evil Genius 2 implies four separate supervillains will be playable in the end, although at the moment Rebellion are only talking about the Blofeld-esque Maximillian and Red Ivan – who’s been promoted from the role of henchman in the original game. Their main area of obfuscation though is how you make money in the game, which in Dungeon Keeper was achieved by finding gold when digging out rooms and in the original Evil Genius revolved around completing ‘Acts of Infamy’ via a World Domination screen.

A slideshow overview we were shown pictures a minion (the human kind) robbing a bank, and since we were also not allowed to see the World Domination map we assume something similar is happening in the sequel. Especially as the press release talks about ‘diabolical objectives’ such as ransoming off the British royal family and baking Alaska with a superweapon.

In the demo though you’ve also got a sideline in running a luxury island casino, although this isn’t primarily to make money but to hide the fact that there’s a secret base underneath – filled with hundreds of minions and the machinery of your global criminal enterprise. Which means at its heart Evil Genius 2 is a business simulator, not dissimilar to something like Theme Park.

As such, much of your time is spent constructing generators, housing and training for your minions, research and development laboratories, security posts, and traps. This involves a process which Rebellion refers to as ‘furniture Tetris’, as you try to not only fit everything in but also make your base look as appealing and professional as possible. Your considerations aren’t just aesthetic though, as making the layout as logical as possible – such as putting a barracks next to a generator room, in case anyone tries to blow it up – encourages the best response when you’re infiltrated by the ‘Forces of Justice’.

The final game will allow you to design multiple floors at a time, although we’re only allowed to see one in the demo. But even then, rather than a staid set of menu screens the base in Evil Genius 2 is always full of life, with minions moving around fulfilling their daily duties, as you monitor their progress and individual stats. You can even step in for some personal management intervention (i.e. shooting them) if you feel any of them are underperforming, which you can do with characters such as Maximillian who you can control directly.

Basic minions can be trained up into a variety of specialist roles, with three main career paths categorised as science, muscle, and deception. From there your minions can be promoted to everything from hitman to quantum chemist. Minions are just minions though and the most talented underlings are named characters such as Eli Barracuda Jnr, the son of one of the characters from the first games. These are the only people other than the main supervillain you can control directly and are vital to fighting off a concerted invasion of spies.

In the demo there was only one spy though, who had disguised themselves as a lowly minion but could be spotted because they’re running around instead of enjoying the leisurely stroll of real employees. Producer Ash Tregay set up a simple set of traps based on the reveal trailer, with a pop-up fan at one end of the corridor, then a laser grid, and then a shark tank at the end. This does the job admirably well, providing you with a neat little body bag to dispose of in the incinerators.

There are many other traps planned for the final game, including a pinball like contraption and the wonderfully named Venus Spy Trap. Curiously, there’s no confirmation of a monorail yet though, which it seems impossible to imagine won’t be in the final game, with Tregay already hinting that an inactive volcano is one of the other possible lair locations.

The fact that people are still playing the original game says all you need to know about the appeal of the concept, so all the sequel really has to do is update the visuals and interface and not mess up the gameplay. There’s an obvious love for the concept amongst the developers though, so there doesn’t seem much chance of that, which mean that world domination really is within Evil Genius 2’s grasp when it’s released next year.

Tom Holland, also known as the king of spoilers, has struck again, as Spider-Man co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon have revealed he told them about a major Avengers: Endgame moment three years ago.

Will he ever learn?

The Peter Parker actor, who is renowned for slipping secrets about the Marvel franchise, told his co-stars as early as 2016 about major spoiler moments – including Tony Stark’s death.

‘He told me too early,’ said Zendaya, who stars as MJ in the Spider-Man series.

‘I feel like we talked about this way back in, like, 2016,’ Jacob, who plays best friend Ned, added.

Tom later explained to Jake Hamilton: ‘I’ve known for a really long time,’ with Zenda sarcastically joking: ‘And thus we have to know.’

Tell him, girl.

The death of Iron Man rounded out the 22-film Infinity Saga, with Robert Downey Jr playing the role for a whopping 11 years.

However, this isn’t the only spoiler the 23-year-old has let slip during his time, famously revealing the title for the next Spider-Man movie, and that there would even be more than one film in the series.

He was also spotted spoiling the quantum realm theory during an unearthed interview, even when Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) was there to ‘police’ him.

‘[Cumberbatch] has the most difficult lines, though,’ Tom laughed in the chat with Access last year, when asked who fluffed the most lines while filming. ‘He has to talk about so much Quantum Realm… stuff.

‘I just have to talk about, “Yeah man, that’s awesome.” So mine’s easy, but his is all so difficult.’

Oh, Tom.

Although he’s built up a reputation as a loveable loose-lipped rogue, the actor previously told a fan what would happen if he let slip anything about Endgame – and it doesn’t sound good.

When the star was at the Comedy Store in London, watching Lenny Henry, musician Andriah Arrindell did her best to get the scoop on what happens next.

Filming a video with Tom for her son, Andriah urged: ‘Tell him what happens in the next one.’

Tom laughed and backed away, saying: ‘I can’t, they’ll shoot me.’

Star Trek: Discovery spin-off Section 31 is set to kick off filming after the mainline show’s third season, the showrunner has confirmed.

The second season of Discovery concluded earlier this year, seeing Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and the crew sent barrelling 950 years into the future through a wormhole.

The show is expected to return next year, and it looks like planned spin-off Section 31, which revolves around Philippa Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh), is set to follow suit.

Speaking to Deadline’s Crew Call podcast, Discovery showrunner Alex Kurtzman offered an update on the spin-offs schedule.

‘Erika [Lippoldt] and Boey [Kim], who are two of our writers on Discovery, are breaking story on it right now, and the plan is to shoot that the second we’re done with season three,’ Kurtzman said.

In a statement announcing the spin-off, Kurtzman said: ‘Michelle has shattered ceilings, broken boundaries, and astonished us with her grace and gravitas for decades.

‘As a human, I adore her. As an actor, I revere her. Erika and Boey are remarkable, exciting writers who bring a fresh perspective to the world of Star Trek, and we’re all thrilled to explore the next wild chapter in the life of Captain Philippa Georgiou.’

It isn’t the only Star Trek spin-off in the works, with a new series for Patrick Stewart’s Jean-Luc Picard set to be released later this year.

Speaking about the Luc Picard series, Kurtzman said: ‘A lot has happened to Jean-Luc Picard in the intervening years.

‘He had to deal with some new things, and some old things. Both things collide together and he’s made choices that he’s not necessarily feeling great about.’

Joe Garratt isn’t giving up on Lucie Donlan despite being dumped from the Love Island villa.

The 22-year-old sandwich maker was eliminated from the ITV2 programme earlier this week alongside Elma Pazar but is keen to get back into the Majorcan compound to pick up where he left off.

‘I would never rule out the possibility of going back in,’ Joe admitted. ‘I met somebody who I fell for so I have already won that in that sense.’

He continued to The Sun: ‘I would love to go back in and see her. I think that would be really nice and I think she would love that.’

The reality star came under fire by viewers after he disapproving with Lucie forming a friendship with fellow series five contestant Tommy Fury, with Women’s Aid speaking out over the outcry.

However, Joe has insisted that he didn’t ‘manipulate or abuse’ the surfer, adding to the publication: ‘I am gutted that it has been perceived in that way because it wasn’t like that at all.’

He ruled out apologising for his behaviour too, saying: ‘I am young and inexperienced so maybe some things have come out differently to what they are. I just hope people can see me for who I genuinely am and what I genuinely am. I am not that person.’

Before leaving the villa, Joe told Lucie that he’d like to continue his romance with her, confessing: ‘I have definitely fallen for you. I know that you will eventually be my girlfriend – 100 per cent – if you will have me.’

He then added to the cameras: ‘I’ve definitely fallen for the girl. I do hope there is a future for us.

‘Me and Lucie definitely had a lot more to give but it is what it is. You have to take it.’

The landmark figure was hit at June 20 at 1.42am BST, three years, one month, four days, and 11 hours after it was first released on YouTube.

The band has previously had videos for DNA, Fire, Dope, Fake Love, MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix), Blood Sweat & Tears, and IDOL all have over 400 million fans watch the shorts.

Former Love Island contestant Charlie Frederick has ripped into the show for throwing two of his ex-girlfriends in the villa.

The 23-year-old star featured in last year’s series and dated Lucie Donlan as well as brand new bombshell Arabella Chi, who entered the villa in scenes that aired yesterday.

Addressing Arabella and Lucie’s place in the series, Charlie snapped on his Instagram story: ‘Wow Love Island you wanna have my f****** life anymore?!!! Both my exes in the villa f****** madness [Sic].’

Arabella revealed that Charlie was a former flame, on top of being friends with Montana Brown, when she discussed her claim to fame, confessing: ‘I also dated Charlie Frederick for a time.’

While Lucie and Charlie’s romance is well documented on social media, no photographic evidence of Arabella and Charlie has been uncovered yet.

Speaking about her tactics before entering the infamous compound, Arabella admitted: ‘It’s the nature of the show that you have to tread on toes. I’m not going to go for the single guys because they’re not for me.

‘If a guy is giving me a half way in, I’ll keep trying.’

She explained that she’s always loyal too, adding: ‘If I’ve coupled up, it means I know what I want. Yes I have cheated and been cheated on.

‘I’ve only ever been loyal in one relationship which was my last relationship. In that relationship I would never look anywhere else. It all comes down to respect. When it’s on and off with someone, as it has been before, you never have that respect.’

James Corden has brought his Late Late Show to London and with him has come a swag of his famous friends – including Jake Gyllenhaal.

The Spider-Man: Far From Home star was scheduled to appear on the show alongside Lily James and Strangers Things’ Millie Bobby Brown last night.

However, moments before the show started the audience was informed Jake was unable to make it due to a scheduling clash. Cue sadness.

When James took to the stage at Central Hall in Westminster he even confirmed that Jake wouldn’t be making the show – but he’d appear on a later episode when James returned to Los Angeles.

Little did we know that when James launched into a special #LateLateLondon edition of Dogs In Sunglasses, he became distracted thinking of Jake.

‘He’s such a good actor, he’d be an amazing guest, too,’ he began in a voice over. ‘I really wish he was here tonight.’

James then slid into an ode to the ‘talented, kind and handsome actor’, in the style of Whitney Houston’s Greatest Love of All.

But then Jake himself emerged in a plume of haze and thus began the beautiful duet from the balcony.

‘Because the greatest Gyllenhall is happening to me,’ they sang together.

A bunch of ballet dancers then descended on the stage as they kept singing about the ‘greatest Gyllenhaal’

However at one stage, Jake sang the ‘greatest Gyllenhaal’ was ‘actually Maggie’ to which James sang: ‘You’re the Jakest Gyllenhaal’.

Unfortunately it was all a brilliant day dream for James (but, er, not for the audience members who got to witness this greatness IRL) as the Donnie Darko star then descended into another misty doorway to make his exit.

Not without some wistful backwards glances, though, and a kiss to send James on his way back to finishing the show.

The show in London has proved to be a great success after the week was kicked off with the USA versus UK dodgeball tournament, with the host leading the team of Brits which was made up of Harry Styles, Benedict Cumberbatch, Reggie Watts and Game of Thrones’ John Bradley.

On team US, Mrs Obama is in charge along with Melissa McCarthy, Kate Hudson, Allison Janney, Lena Waithe and Mila Kunis.

We were already hooked when in a hilarious preview Harry was shown being hit right in the crotch by a particularly powerful throw from Michelle.

She’s mighty powerful, that former POTUS.

So, Walking Dead fans – we’ve got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that Danai Gurira (who plays Michonne) is leaving the show next season.

The good news is, if the comic books are anything to go by, we might not be seeing the last of her.

It’s a pretty well-known fact at this point that the comic books and the TV show are their own kind of monsters – with the series straying further from its source material over the years.

However, major plot points (like that horrific pike scene that ended season nine), remain the same.

So, what does this mean for Michonne? Well, taking a look at the comic books, she makes her exit a rather quiet one – before returning for something pivotal.

Following life with Negan and The Saviours, in which Negan was undoubtedly at his most horrific, Michonne flees – only appearing again dozens of issues later as a fisherman in Oceanside.

During her disappearance (which lasted a good two years), Negan sees a massive change, not least of which the invasion of the Whisperers, and fall from leader of the Saviours.

In the comics, upon reuniting with Michonne, Negan offers a peace offering – the head of Alpha, Whisperers’ leader – as a sign that they’re on the same side.

But following the blood spilled because of the battle of those who are still alive in the apocalyptic world, she sets off for a new life and to build a new home in Ohio.

This could be the perfect end for Michonne, and while she’s remained in Alexandria for the course of the torture delivered by Alpha and the Whisperers, the major death could be the perfect opportunity for her to cut loose from the group.

With her young son in tow, and baby daddy/leader Rick Grimes not looking like he’s coming back soon, this could be the perfect time for her to forge safety on her own.

The Walking Dead returns on AMC in the US and Fox in the UK later this year.

The royal family don’t often comment on the world of video games but back in April, Prince Harry insisted that Fortnite was, ‘created to addict, an addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible’.

And now this week developer Epic Games has defended Fortnite to the House of Commons Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, saying that Prince Harry’s comments were a ‘real mischaracterisation’.

‘We were quite taken aback and really rather surprised because the statements that were made, in our view, couldn’t be further from the truth from our intentions and design philosophy and just our multi-decade approach to developing a long-term healthy and sustainable approach with our audience,’ said Epic’s Canon Pence.

‘It’s really always been our effort and intent to create a fun, fair, flexible, engaging and generous form of interactive entertainment for our audience and so I feel like a statement that suggests that there was some sort of nefarious attempt to extract short-term profit is a real mischaracterisation,’ added Pence.

Pence then asked whether he though the Prince was wrong or misunderstood the game, to which he answered: ‘I do’.

Both Epic Games and EA are at Parliament this week to defend their practices, including loot boxes – which FIFA publisher EA compared to Kinder Eggs and insisted are ‘quite fair’.

Prince Harry’s comments were made at the same time that he also criticised social media for being too addictive, which happened to be during the same month he and his wife started their massively popular Instagram page.

EA also criticised the World Health Organisation (WHO) decision to classify gaming disorder as a recognised illness, although many more impartial sources have also questioned the general lack of research on the subject.

‘I don’t think we can agree to say that games are addictive and I actually don’t believe the World Health Organisation decision to designate a gaming disorder uses the word ‘addiction’ or refers to games as being addictive,’ said EA’s Kerry Hopkins.

‘What it doesn’t say is that games are inherently addictive, what it says is some people suffer from a disorder and the World Health Organisation put out a video and said what we’re not saying is that people who play a long time, play a lot of hours are addicted or have a disorder, they said it’s something a doctor would need to diagnose.’

Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk ‘are ready to date’ following their four-year relationship.

While there has been a lot of speculation about the nature of their split, Irina is said to have enjoyed her ‘private life’ before the headlines, and now it is said that the pair are willing to get back on the market.

According to US Weekly, a source said: ‘They want to date, and won’t be shy about meeting people or being set up.

‘They’re closing a long chapter of their lives, but they’re ready to see what’s next.’

The insider added that Irina is still living in Bradley’s LA home with him for the sake of a smooth transition and keeping it super civil for their two-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine.

‘They’ll coordinate to make sure their daughter is always with one parent,’ they added. ‘When Lea has important events in her life, both Bradley and Irina will be there.’

This comes after Irina was said to have been happy with the amount of time she had with her ex.

The Russian model had a very public relationship with footballer Cristiano Ronaldo but in contrast, experienced a quieter four-year romance with the Hangover actor.

Speaking before their ‘split’ two weeks ago, Irina was said to have indicated that she wanted to give their daughter Lea a ‘settled family life’.

A source has told The Sun on Sunday that Irina ‘loved the privacy she had with Brad,’ and was rejoicing that they had ‘lots of time for each other’.

But it soon became apparent that they ‘both were working a lot as she travelled the world modelling and he spent long periods on film sets.’

Bradley first went public with Irina back in 2015, and they welcomed their first child two years later.

They have been notoriously private about their romance, though rumours have surrounded the couple ever since promotion for A Star Is Born, earlier this year.

It was all sparked by his very intimate performance with Lady Gaga at the Oscars, which raised eyebrows among viewers at home.

Following awards season, he reportedly tried to save his relationship, ‘slowing down’ his career in a bid to spend more time with his family.

‘Since Bradley and Irina have always been very private about their relationship few knew there was really for sure something going on,’ another source added to People Magazine.

Metallica were the big winners on a night of celebrating rock music old and new at the 2019 Kerrang! Awards.

The music magazine held its annual awards bash, hosted by Phil Alexander and editor Sam Coare, at Islington Assembly Hall, and the usually impressive guestlist was bolstered by some true rock legends, who were honoured with inspiration, hall of fame and icon awards.

However, Metallica were the winners of two fan voted awards – Best International Act (presented by Queen’s Roger Taylor) and Best International Live Act – and as the legends are set to play Twickenham tonight, Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo were on hand to accept the gongs.

Accepting Best International Live Act, bassist Robert said: ‘Thank you so much for this award. As you all know, everyone in this room is doing this for the spirit of life music, and that’s really important, and hopefully turning the youth on to what we do and keeping live music alive.’

And noting that Kerrang! Magazine began the same year he and James Hetfield formed Metallica, Lars recalled the summer of 1981 which he spent ‘schlepping around England all by myself, following bands around’.

The drummer said: ‘That whole summer was the reason I wanted to be in a band. So I went back to California, I called up someone I met a few months earlier, James… I can’t remember his last name. That all worked out fine.

‘And 38 years later, Metallica and Kerrang! share the same birthday. I bought that first f***ing issue, I bought two of them.’

Metallica was painted all over the night, with guests provided with plenty of the band’s own beer, Enter Night, throughout the night. But they weren’t the only members of rock royalty on stage. 

Led Zeppelin’s own Jimmy Page received one of the biggest cheers of the night as he was honoured with the Icon Award for his illustrious career in music.

The 75-year-old, who was accompanied by his 29-year-old girlfriend Scarlett Sabet, spoke of the Play It Loud: Instruments of Rock & Roll exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art as he accepted his award, and recalled the transformation of electric guitars over the years.

Page dedicated his award to all of the young and up and coming bands who were honoured on the night, saying: ‘To all of the new bands here tonight and out there…I just want to send you all the best, because this is for you as much as for me.’

Meanwhile, Skunk Anansie were inducted into Kerrang’s Hall of Fame, 24 years after they were named Best New British Band by the magazine’s readers.

Lead singer Skin delivered one of the funniest speeches of the night, as she recalled the last time they won a Kerrang! Award, Marilyn Manson tried to ‘shove it up her a**’. 

Saying that everyone should have a place to express themselves, Skin noted ‘that place may be hell’ – ‘But what’s going to be more fun, partying with Mother Theresa or partying with Lemmy?’

The band also said: ‘To all of you who want to play rock music — the Jews, the blacks, the Irish, all the outsiders — this is for you.’

Phil Campbell of Motörhead accepted the Inspiration Award on behalf of the group, following a rousing compilation of some of the band’s greatest moments.

The guitarist paid tribute to late frontman Lemmy, saying: ‘We were captained all the way by an actual, bonafide outlaw.’

Other stars that graced the stage included Kelly Osbourne, Thin Lizzy’s Scott Gorham and Employed To Serve.

And the night’s tone was set by first presenter Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari, who compared to music industry to anal sex and lapping up the mainstream to a golden shower – something which later caused Lars Ulrich to quip that he would never think of the word mainstream in the same way again. 

However, there were sombre notes in the evening, particularly as Keith Flint, who died in March at the age of 49, was given a standing ovation by the room.

Other big winners of the night included Bristol band IDLES, who were named Best British Breakthrough Act, Architects, who won Best British Live Act, Best British Act Bring Me The Horizon, and Ghost, who won Best Album for Prequelle.

Clearly having a ball, she was quick to share a video of the dress glittering in the light as she enjoyed a drink.

‘Who remembers Kira Kira,’ she wrote.

Sharing clips of waiters lined up with drinks, she looked to be having fun at the event with friend Kate Gowing.

After ex-boyfriend Jim moved out of the pair’s townhouse and appears to be moving on with new girlfriend Sarah Tartleton, Tanya appears to be focusing on herself, recently posting snap and clips of her having fun with friends.

Some would argue that Avengers: Endgame is the biggest film to ever be released… like ever!

So it’s not really a surprise to see the Marvel flick leading the nominations for the upcoming 2019 Teen Choice Awards.

The superhero blockbuster has nabbed nine nods including Choice Action Movie, Choice Villain for Josh Brolin’s Thanos and Choice Actor for Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man.

Meanwhile, Guy Ritchie’s live-action remake of Aladdin has an impressive of five nominations.

The Disney flick in the run to win Choice Fantasy Movie, Choice Fantasy Movie Actor for both Mena Massoud and Will Smith and Fantasy Movie Actress for Naomi Scott’s Princess Jasmine.

Lil Nas X continues to suck it to the haters after Old Town Road bagged five nominations, the most nods in the music category.

The rapper could walk away with Choice Male Artist, Choice Song Male Artist, R&B / Hip-Hop song with Billy Ray Cyrus, Breakout Artist and Collaboration for the viral hit.

A woman who lied about having depression to get a nose job on the NHS has defended her actions and admitted that she would do it again

Carla Bellucci joined Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning to reveal how she managed to cheat the system to get the surgery, worth £7,000 for free, claiming that she flirted with a GP who then guided her through the process.

‘I did bend the truth to get a nose job,’ Carla began. ‘I lied, but I do work. I was born here. I feel like I’ve not really done anything that wrong.’

Talking about why she wanted to go through with the procedure in the first place, she explained: ‘It was something on my mind. It was slightly off centre and had a little bump.’

Having paid a visit to a cosmetic surgeon, Carla confessed that she was advised against splashing out and then joked around with friends about getting it done for free.

‘It started off as a bit of banter between friends,’ she continued. ‘One evening I said, “I’m going to see if I can get this nose job.”

‘I said I was unhappy about I’ve never been clinically depressed I just said it. I was advised to say a few things by a GP.’

When Holly and Phil asked whether or not she’d cheat the system again, Carla admitted: ‘I think I am one of many. Maybe there’s cracked in the systems.

‘I’m not saying what I done was right, but I don’t live in regret.’

Naturally viewers were furious about Carla’s actions and didn’t hold back on social media.

‘Absolutely outrageous this sick woman faking depression too get a nose job!’ blasted one. ‘She should be made too pay for her NHS treatment from now on. Its people like her that get it all when the people that need it can’t get the help!!!!!!’

‘I am disgusted at the attitude on the lady who has lied about a nose job,’ slammed another.

‘I am a nurse and see how hard the NHS struggles to meet increasing demands and she has outright lied! She should be prosecuted and the money reclaimed.’

If you’ve got a spare few wads of cash lying around you can snap up one of Sandy Olson’s iconic Grease costumes as Olivia Newton-John auctions them off.

The actress is putting her black leather jacket and tight trousers made famous in the final scene of Grease on the market.

It’s all to raise money for her cancer treatment centre, the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia, after the star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 before suffering a relapse in 2013.

Two years ago she was then diagnosed with stage four breast cancer for a third time and was undergoing treatment in March this year.

Along with the jacket and leather trousers from the 1978 classic she’s shifting 200 items in November through Julien’s Auctions and just shut up and take our money, Julien.

How much can we expect such iconic numbers to fetch under the hammer? Apparently pundits are expecting the items – which are being sold separately – to earn a tidy $200,000 (£157,000).

If the leather set isn’t ‘the one that you want’ then Olivia is also getting rid of her original script from the film, estimated at $4,000 (£3,150), and custom-made Pink Ladies jacket, which was presented to the actor by the cast and crew of Grease, expected to be sold for up to $4,000 (£3,150).

The auction is taking place in Beverly Hills and online on 2 November if you were already checking your bank balance. That will come after the items will go on exhibit in Ireland and the US.

Olivia first revealed that she would be selling the Grease costume in May 2018, 40 years after the film was originally released.

She added: ‘It’s exciting to know that the costume will have a bigger purpose. Grease changed my life, and now it can help change the lives of others too.’

The Aussie sensation became a household name after starring in the film opposite John Travolta, who played Danny Zuko.

Now thanks to that flick we’re all singing Grease Lightening every Saturday night on the dancefloor (cue dancemoves).

Chris Hemsworth and James Corden have battled it out to prove who’s the best waiter and things got seriously petty.

Is it even worth telling them to calm down? Probably not.

The Avengers star joined James on the Late, Late Show and went head to head in a Battle Of The Waiters, with the Gavin and Stacey writer claiming he’s got an advantage with his ‘front desk charm.’

However, things didn’t go smoothly for James, being laden with everyone’s bags while the Thor actor, who’s set to star in the upcoming Men in Black flick, swanned off with the customers, asking if they’re Avengers fans.

It seemed to work a treat.

With both lads actually picking up punters to take them to their seats, things got a bit out of hand.

‘Ladies and gentlemen, Sarah’s here!’ James screamed at one point, prompting a round of applause for the unwitting lady after flipping off his competitor.

‘No walnuts for Sarah!’ he yelled, when he discovered she had an allergy, before seemingly going into excitement overdrive when Sarah’s pal Lisa rocked up.

Bit aggressive, but A+ for effort.

However, it didn’t work out quite as planned for James, with Chris being declared the winner by Head Chef Andre.

And James wasn’t bitter at all. Not one bit.

Fans were loving the battle and were just a little jealous of punters in the restaurant, with one commenting: ‘That relatable moment and Chris Hemsworth just steals your girlfriend.’

‘Imagine just going to dinner, then CHRIS HEMSWORTH CARRIES YOU TO YOUR TABLE,’ another added.

Davina McCall has been spotted out and about with her ‘new boyfriend’ hairdresser Michael Douglas.

The former Big Brother host and the celeb stylist, who are said to have started dating last month, looked completely content as they rocked up to Leicester Square for a screening of new flick Yesterday, starring Himesh Patel and Lily James.

Opting out of walking the red carpet, Davina, 51, and Michael, 45, who have been friends for 19 years, were spotted smiling away as they left the cinema together, both dressing casually for the occasion.

Rumours of the pair’s romance spread last month, with them reportedly seen holding hands at the Chelsea Flower Show.

A source told The Sun: ‘The romance blossomed from a place of friendship and trust and the couple are just enjoying each other’s company and having a laugh.

‘Davina especially likes Michael’s sense of humour and kind nature. It’s still fairly early days but Davina’s mates think Michael is a good guy.’

Michael has previously worked with TV stars like Rochelle Humes, Laura Whitmore, Dawn French and Holly Willoughby, who stars in the Garnier hair campaigns with Davina.

‘The family had been there for Davina during her split with Matthew — and Michael was very much a confidante to her. So Tracey knew all the ins and outs and was supportive,’ the insider said.

‘To find out they are dating, and that they’d been showing off their new relationship in public was an absolutely devastating blow for Tracey.’
